P.O.V.: Broken Heart

Time: Where's my phone?

Weather: It’s sunny outside but dark

Date: no I am fine being single

“So you’re Midnight? I was wondering if I would ever meet you.” I say.

“You know of me?” she asks looking at me.

“Yes I know of you. I may have been in the hospital when the Friendship Games were going on but when portals open to other worlds and my friend comes to visit to tell me things. People get brought up. You were one of them.” I respond.

“What did your friend say about me?” she asks.

“That you were corrupt and insane.” I say.

Her eyes tear up once more and again she starts to cry.

“However that is not what I am seeing here.” I quickly explain.

She looks at me once again tears still rolling down cheeks.

“What I see is a woman who regrets what she did.” I continue

I then walk up to her the rest of the way and stick my hand out.

“I think it's about time you and I get to my place, you need a real home not some damned alleyway.” I say.

She looks at me with tears in her eyes then she grabs my hand as I help her up. As I help her up I finally notice her wings… and how malnourished she looks.

“How long have you been in this condition?” I ask quite concerned.

“I haven't had any food for a few days.” she says.

“Then let's get you home so you can get something to eat.” I say

Midnight and I make our way to my car while getting a few odd looks but nothing to unsettling.

I drive us back to my place with no problems aside from Midnight trying to make herself comfortable by adjusting her wings, however I managed to solve that after her wings got in my face for the third time by telling her to wrap her wings around her front which seemed to do the trick.

When we get there I realize Sunset may not be too keen on letting Midnight stay with us without an explanation of sorts.

“Midnight please wait here in the car for as moment I need to speak to my other guest before you come in.”

She nods hesitantly which is understandable I guess. I walk over to my rose bush and grab my house key and proceed to open the door and when I enter the house smells of roses, everything is reorganized, and Sunset is sitting on my couch panting as if she just finished exercising.

“Holy cow you actually did organize everything.” I say in astonishment

“Well you were gone for a little over an hour. By the way what took so long?” Sunset pants.

“Well I ran into Twilight then there was traffic but I have a couple of things we need to speak about.” I say.

“Sure what are they?” she asks.

“First thing's first, you remember Midnight Sparkle, yes?” I ask hiding my nervousness.

“Yes, why?” she questions back.

“Well I may or may not have ran into her in a very malnourished state and she may or may not be in my car.” I say with a nervous smile.

“Did she attack you?!? How is she still a thing!?! HOW ARE YOU NOT DEAD!?!”
Sunset basically screams at me.

“First off no she was crying and seemed to regret everything. Second I will go with magic because that way we don't have to make sense of it. And finally being dead is my least favorite thing to do.” I say jokingly on the last part however the rest is serious.

“Fine she can stay, but only because you can actually do something if she does get power hungry again.” Sunset says.

“There is just one other thing we need to discuss.” I say

“I already don't like it.” she says dryly

“Apparently, according to Twilight, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy want to speak to us about something.” I say.

“That explains why they called me earlier.” Sunset says.

I raise an eyebrow “You didn't answer them I’m assuming?”

“Yes I ignored them.” Sunset replies.

“Well Twilight wanted to know if we'd be willing to speak to them.” I respond

“Let me think for a bit.” she says

“Alright well I will get Midnight inside as well as the groceries.” I say.

“I will cook, that is if you don't mind.” Sunset says.

“That's fine.” I reply as I walk to the car

I motion for Midnight to head inside as I get everything out of the trunk. Midnight gets out of the car and heads inside as I grab everything from the trunk.

As I head back into my house with the groceries I feel my phone vibrate in my pocket as if I was getting a call which is unusual as I don't think anyone I know has my number.

I quickly put the groceries on the kitchen counter then answer my phone because if it is a prank caller as I suspect they may be then they will get what's about to come.

“This is Canterlot Sperm Bank, you jack it we pack it, when would you like your appointment to be?” I say as I answer.

“First off ew and second off have you and Sunset made a decision yet? Pinkie and Fluttershy would really prefer to speak to the two of you today since they have to work tomorrow and on Monday the other girls will more than likely be there.”

It was at this moment I realized that it was Twilight that on the other end. How did she get my number though?

“Oh sorry Twilight I thought you were a prank caller and before I answer your question how did you get my phone number?” I say.

“Pinkie had it saved because apparently you have theater with Pinkie and your director put everyone in group chat for your class play, Pinkie made sure to know all of her classmates numbers.” Twilight replies.

Damn it. I will have a talk with her after this. I think to myself.

“I will be right back with you.” I say as I lay my phone down on the coffee table in front of the couch where Midnight is scarfing down a ham sandwiches like no tomorrow.

“Hey Sunset, Twilight just called she wants us to have our decision now, and before you ask tomorrow is a no go and Monday is out of the question.” I say as I tap my foot nervously.

Sunset speaks while she adds some sort of spice to the soup she is making “Well, as much as I'd rather not, tell her to be here with them in an hour. Also tell Midnight to hide out in her room for awhile, we absolutely do not need anyone freaking out.”

I nod as I head back to grab my phone. “Alright Sunset said to be here in an hour with Pinkie and Fluttershy.”

“Good they will be happy to hear that.” she says before she hangs up.

I put my phone back in my pocket and look at Midnight who looks content with herself as she had just eaten several ham sandwiches.

“Hey Midnight,” I start “would you mind heading to the guest room for a bit? We're having some guests over and these guests might not react very well to you being here.”

“Sure, just show me where it is.” she responds as she gets up from her seat on the couch.

I take her upstairs and show her the only unoccupied guest room which is right across from the restroom at the end of the hall.

“There should be a bookshelf in your room if you get bored, I should get back downstairs so Sunset doesn't get suspicious.” I say as I turn to head back downstairs.

I feel Midnight put her hand on my shoulder, I turn around and she pecks me on the cheek.

“Thanks for getting me out of that hellhole.” she says with a blush as she walks to her room.

I walk down stairs with a very prominent blush on my face.

Damn I haven't had a kiss in two years and out of all the kisses I've had none of Rose's kisses ever made me feel like this. I think to myself as I make my way to the main room.

Right as I sit down on my couch I hear a knock at the door.

“They're here early.” I remark.

“Well that was quick.” Sunset says as she finishes the soup she was making.

I get up to open the door while Sunset grabs some bowls for the soup.

“Hello Broken.” Says Twilight as I open the door.

“You're early.” I say as I see Pinkie and Fluttershy get out of Twilight’s car.

“Well we needed to get away from Rainbow because she wanted to hang out so we told her we were busy and got here as fast as we could.” Twilight says.

“Look we would like to explain why we did what we did.” Pinkie says.

“Can we come in so we may explain.” Fluttershy asks quietly.

“Yes, come in and sit then you will explain.” I say coldly.

The three girls flinch at the coldness of my voice as I let them in.

Sunset speaks as Pinkie and Fluttershy sit down on the couch.

“You're are only here because I want an explanation not some apology without reason.” she says as she grabs a bowl of soup.

Pinkie then speaks her story “Well it all started like this…

P.O.V.: Pinkie Pie

Time: Friday, yesterday, not today

So it was raining, that in itself is never a good sign, but I think nothing of it as I head to school for the day.

I got to school early, mainly because Rainbow decided calling an emergency meeting was a good idea but also because I didn't feel like riding the bus, and head to the band room where the meeting was being held.

However when I got there I was super duper suspicious when I heard voices that didn't belong to anyone I know. One of them was robotic but at the same time almost human, the second was clearly robotic as it was heavily mechanical sounding and distorted as if it had been severely damaged, and the final voice was a woman's voice it was clearly human.

I heard the non-distorted robot voice say “Do you have any idea how much thought I put into this plan Error?”

The distorted voice now known as Error then speaks “̷̟̈́Š̶̻p̴̺̚ȑ̴͚ȉ̵̜n̴̤͊g̶̖̓,̴͘͜ ̶̰͑y̷͆͜o̷̥͊ú̵̳ ̶͖͂n̴̻̓ę̸̾v̷̳͑ẽ̷͓r̷̜̅ ̶̛͎ẗ̷̮́h̸̫̑i̵̱͂n̴̜̆k̷͎͋ ̶̡̓å̵̻b̸̥̅o̴͚̐u̸̖͑t̴̞͝ ̴̼̍a̷͖̾n̵̠̿y̷̮̾t̷̖͆h̴̪̃i̷̡̔n̵̗͌g̷̼̈́ ̶͖̓y̴͓͊ö̴͔u̵͕͗ ̶̡̈́j̸̉ͅu̶̠͗s̷̨̕t̸͎͋ ̸̙͂ḑ̵̅õ̵̤ ̸̦̎w̷̧̌h̴̪̀a̸̤̓t̴̯͝ ̸̥̚f̸͙͗e̵̟̍ë̵͕́ĺ̴̮s̵͖̾ ̵̫̎ř̷̲i̶͔̕g̵̛͉h̷̲͠t̸̜̕!̴̺͑”̶̦͌

The woman's voice speaks “You dumbasses they will not believe this bullshit story about Sunset calling you a bitch on social media Spring!”

“S̸̠̎h̴̀͜u̷̺̽ẗ̶̨ ̵̹̉u̸̜̓p̷̻̿/Kos nahlot Monica!” say both of the robotic voices, the non-distorted one speaking whatever language that was.

I then hear the voice belonging to Spring say “It seems two the boss decided to not replace should be here soon so let's get our act together.”

It was then that I took my ear off the wall and headed the rest of the way towards the door. Fluttershy walks up and knocks on the door at the same moment that I reached the door.

Rainbow Dash opens the door which surprises me as the voices I heard sounded nothing like her.

“Oh good you're here, please come in we have some news.” Rainbow says, her voice sounding normal.

Maybe my mind was playing tricks on me, silly mind. I think as I walk in and see Rarity and Applejack standing near the window with nervous looks on their faces.

“So I was on Mystable last night and this message popped up on my screen” says Rainbow holding her phone where Fluttershy could read a message sent in a thread called Totally from Anon-a-Miss, however I couldn't see who sent is because Rainbow's thumb was covering whoever sent it. The message itself read you're a bitch.

All of this has many red flags going off in my head as it lines up with what I had just heard. However I decide not to reveal that I know anything and instead stay silent just in case they slip up whoever they really are.

I nod and say “Seems legit.”

I give Fluttershy a look that translates to go with it I'll explain later. She nods in agreement with Rainbow as I figure she understood the look I gave her.

“Good it seems we're in agreement that we need to something so I came up with an idea.” Rainbow says.

“Ooh what is the idea? A prank war? A water balloon fight? A PRANK WAR STARTING WITH A WATER BALLOON FIGHT?” I ask very extremely excitedly.

“No, although that sounds quite laughable, we are going to beat the living shit out of Sunset.”

Hold on last I checked Rainbow never directly refers to any of our ideas by what elements we represent. I think to myself.

Fluttershy seems to notice something isn't right with Rainbow when she hears Rainbow speak, but before she can say anything Applejack steps in and says “What Rainbow means ta say is that we plan on beatin’ Sunset to a pulp so maybe I can get some more business at the apple farm.”

“and maybe get people to stop avoiding coming by the boutique just because I used to associate with Sunset.” Rarity chimes in.

At this point suspicion isn't really the word I would use because at this point there is no denying these are not the friends I love and know. The lunch bell rings and we head to the cafeteria and willingly or otherwise.

P.O.V.: Broken Heart

Time: present day

“and that's where my suspicion started and you know the story from there.” Pinkie finishes.

“Alright let's say I do believe you how do I know you aren't lying?” I ask.

Pinkie then responds “Easy if I were lying I would've made it up as I went.”

“Fair enough.” I say

I glare at Fluttershy, harshly enough to scare her but not harsh enough to make her cry for making Fluttershy cry is something only the cruelest and most evil people do.

“Speak your story before I lose my patience.” I say coolly.

Fluttershy then speaks “Well I first noticed things were off with them, especially Applejack, about two days ago when the three of them came by the animal shelter after school…”

P.O.V.: Fluttershy

Time: Thursday after school, not Friday, not today

I was talking to the animals, they're so precious, when a strange woman walked in.

I heard the door open so I stopped what I was doing. I turn around to look at who walked in.
It was a strange woman her skin was a strange pinkish color and her hair was brown and was rather long she was wearing a blue skirt and a grey long sleeved shirt and her eyes were emerald green in color.

“Excuse me I would like to buy some cat food.” she says as she walks in.

“Hold on a moment please.” I say quietly as I finish feeding the lizards.

I walk from the lizards to the front desk where the woman is waiting very impatiently tapping her foot.

“Oh good you're here I was wondering if you could show me where the cat food is.” she says.

“Yes I can.” I say very quietly.

“I can't understand you if you're whispering speak up.” she says.

I repeat myself loud enough to where she can understand me.

“Good now lead the way.” she says as her phone starts to ring.

“Actually hold that thought.” she says as she quickly answers her phone.

“What is it Spring?” she asks in an annoyed tone.

I sneak away to the cat food isle as I listen is to what she is saying.

“You did what?... YOU KNOCKED HER OUT!?!... WHAT DO YOU FUCKING MEAN IT WAS AN ACCIDENT?!?... ERROR IS DISGUISED AS WHO?!?... NO TELL HIM TO NOT FIND ME!!!” she yells into her phone as I hide out in the isle.

I grab a bag of cat food and head back to the counter right as the door opens.

“Monica there you are.” I here a familiar sounding voice speak as I make my way to the counter.

As I get to the front desk I see Applejack walk up to the woman now know as Monica.

“Oh hello Applejack, do you know this woman?” I ask.

“Yeah this is my cousin Monica.” Applejack

“Since when have I- OW!” Monica says as Applejack smacks Monica on the neck.

“Well we best be goin’ see ya.” Applejack says as she pays for the cat food and drags Monica out by her hair.

P.O.V.: Broken Heart

Time: around 7 in the evening

“... that is where my suspicion started.” Fluttershy finishes.

“So the names appear to overlap in both of your stories so that seems to point that you two aren't lying, or you both are making up one big story.” I say coolly.

The both Pinkie and Fluttershy look at me with pleading eyes and Twilight looks at me curiously while I ponder how to determine if they are lying or if they're telling the truth.

Sunset then speaks “Well considering the magic and other shit we've seen it doesn't seen too unbelievable.”

I finished my pondering with an idea, a rather horrible idea but an idea nonetheless.

“I have an idea” I say while looking at Sunset.

“I do not like where this is going.” Sunset says.

“I would like to consult the other occupant of my residence.” I say knowing exactly how much Sunset will enjoy that, she won't.

“Other occupant?” Twilight, Pinkie, and Fluttershy ask in unison.

“I was afraid of this.” Sunset says.

“Hold on who is this “other occupant” you speak of.” Twilight asks obviously not amused.

“That would be me.” I hear Midnight say from the stairs as she floats down.

While Fluttershy and Pinkie scream Twilight just looks and says “That actually makes sense.”

Sunset then speaks out of confusion “What do you mean?”

Pinkie and Fluttershy stop screaming and look over at Twilight in confusion while I ponder on how any of this makes any sense.

Twilight speaks again “It makes sense to hide her from us as you thought that we would immediately freak out if we saw her however I already knew she was a separate entity.”

Midnight speaks again “For awhile after the Friendship Games we were connected with the leftover magic which eventually faded and we became separate from each other neither of us able to sense the condition of the other.”

“or each others thoughts.” Twilight adds.

“or the thoughts of the other.” confirms Midnight.

“So you aren't evil anymore?” Pinkie asks seemingly sceptical.

“No I am not.” Midnight responds.

“So back to the thing at hand Midnight can you use some magic still or no?” Iask trying to change the subject.

“What like detect lies? Yeah I can cast some minor spells including detect lies.” Midnight says.

“Do you mind casting it?” I ask.

“I already did after I heard the stories through the walls you really should get some soundproofing. Also they are not lying.” Midnight says.

“That is great, I guess.” I say slightly annoyed.

“Well that's good to know.” Sunset says.

“Well since we're here and it appears to be getting dark is there a possibility we could have a sleepover?” Twilight asks while looking out the window where it appears to be almost night.

“Ask your parents first.” I say as I hook my phone up to my speakers and those that do not live here contact their parents

“and just a side note, my house my music, also no pun intended.” I say as I click on my playlist of music labeled Stuff which in turn starts the song Take My Breath Away by DAGames.

“Interesting choice.” Sunset says

“I like it.” Midnight says.

“I can stay.” Twilight says as she puts her phone away.

“I can stay as long as we don't do anything illegal.” Pinkie says as she puts her phone in her hair.

Let me reiterate she put her phone in her hair. I do not know how that works but then again this is Pinkie Pie…. I going to stop before my mind breaks.

“My parents said I could stay.” Fluttershy says quietly she puts her phone in her pocket like a normal person.

“Well this is a first.” I say to myself.

“A first what? Sleepover with a bunch of cute girls?” Sunset says in a teasing manner.

The night continues with a games and music as well much teasing in my direction. We eventually fall asleep after a game of charades. The last thing I hear as I finally are these lyrics.

Fall into the hands of sorrow drawn by the darkest bay walk into pit of silence I am the one calling your name.[/i/]
