//-------------------------------------------------------// Blade's Adventure! -by Darkplayer928- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// The Begining //-------------------------------------------------------// The Begining                                             Chapter 1: The Beginning "Damn," Blade said as he walked around the littered streets of Canterlot. A lot of his 'customers' lived here, so it was the perfect city to base his business. Everypony knew who Blade was, and those who didnt should fear they never have to. He was dangerous, and not the most friendly or popular stallion on this side of Equestria. Upon first glance, Blade is your average run of the mill 4'0" pegasus pony, dark chocolate fur, eyes as deep and blue as the ocean, and shaggy red hair that had been combed forward that contained a solitary black line that began in the front of his mane, which ran all the way down his back fur, continuing all the way down to the tip of his red tail. Easily his best feature. His cutie mark was somewhat different, a simple scale used to measure small amounts of weight. But upon closer inspection, Blade was by no means an ordinary pony. His dark chocolate fur was often darkened and matted is small patches with blood, the blood of those who crossed him. His deep eyes rigid and stone cold, his stature slightly slouched and rugged, when he walked, it was apparent that no pony was to cross his path. But the one thing that didn't stand out was of course the most important. His simple cutie mark wasn't that simple, if one were to simply look closer at it, one could see that it was riddled with bits of white powder and seeds of some sort. This is why Blade was so feared, he was in fact, a drug dealer. Ponies knew not to mess with him, or they would be 'cut by the Blade'. He was proud of this saying and held his head high anytime he heard it uttered. Of course the police couldn't do a thing to stop him, he owned this town, his expert lawyer and knowledge of forensics allowed him to always escape a crime scene with absolutely no sign he was ever there. It was a usual Saturday morning as Blade walked down the street. He was starving since he decided to skip breakfast, not his best decision, and he was more irritable than most days. Ponies were avoiding him as always so he was looking up at the clouds, until he hit something. He looked down to see a purple unicorn with a book suspended in front of her. "Oh im so sorry, i didn't see where i was going." she said in a beautiful singsong voice. Blade was so confused, and this visibly showed. "Uhh..thats alright," he stammered, "I’ve never seen you before. You must not be from around here." "No i’m not," she smiled, "I live in Ponyville." "Ponyville huh? Well usually around here ponies don’t get in my way." He said gruffly. "Oh, i’m so sorry." she said beginning to frown. "Thats alright, i suppose i’ll let it slide for such a pretty mare." he said smoothly. “Thanks, well i’ve got to get to the castle to talk to the Princess right away" said the strange purple pony. "What’s your name?" asked Blade. "My name is Twilight Sparkle." she said. "Twilight Sparkle huh?”  replied blade as he thought of other ponies he knew. “What’s your name?” Twilight asked. “I’m Blade, the most feared pony in Canterlot!” he exclaimed. “Well Blade I have to get to the castle now, I hope to see you again!” Twilight stated as she trotted off toward the castle. Blade resumed walking down the streets of canterlot to an abandoned warehouse where he was supposed to deliver some drugs to a customer. The abandoned warehouse smelled like shit, he wrinkled his nose every time. Stagnant water was leaking from the creaky ceiling, and  broken glass littered the floor from the broken window panels. This warehouse was home to the most dangerous Arachnid known to ponies all around. The Mare Widow was the most poisonous spider in all of Equestria. It’s fangs carry so much poison that if so much as a drop gets under a ponies skin, they will begin to convulse and show signs of heart failure within seconds and die soon thereafter. No pony has ever dared go near that warehouse because of the spider, so naturally that’s where Blade decided to conduct his business. Being the most geared pony in Canterlot, he was not afraid of the Mare spider. He entered the warehouse and something small fell in front of him, The Mare Spider. Blade, being himself kept walking not seeing the dreadful spider until he saw other things crawling up the wall. He looked around for his customer, he was nowhere to be seen. Perhaps he was just running late, he decided to wait for a few minutes. It was then that he noticed the spider. How could something so small be so deadly? He followed the spider back to its web and watched as it scurried toward the trapped parasprite. It grabbed hold of its victim and bit down, the parasprite jumped around and began to shake the web loose, but then, just like that, there was no movement at all. He checked the time, he had been waiting ten minutes. He would have to find his customer and teach him what happens when you fuck with Blade. He was furious, nopony stands him up! He ran to the nearest wall, spun on his front two hooves and bucked his back legs clear through it. He realized just how old this damn place was, he stepped back inside, brushing his side on the splinters of the wall. He decided that any damage to be done would be done tomorrow. He walked off into the streets to return home. This was a very long walk, and would remember that when beating the pony who wasted his time. Blade is a very aware pony, one who is very rarely startled. But he was both caught unaware and startled when he bumped into a pony for the second time that day. “Hey watch where the fu... Oh Twilight, it’s you.” “Hey Blade, how nice to see you again.” she said. “Yeah, you too.” Blade replied, once again confused as to how in the world he kept bumping into this mare. “Where are you going?” Twilight asked with a smile. “I’m going home, what about you?” Blade replied. “Oh don’t mind me, I’m on my way to catch the next train to Ponyville,” Twilight exclaimed “I didn’t mean to run into you again, I just have to read the rest of this book for a report i’m doing.” “Let me walk you to the station, it’s dangerous to walk alone at this time of night.” he said cooly. “Well thank you Blade.” she replied He and Twilight began the long walk to the train station. The nighttime streets of Canterlot was no place for anypony to be walking alone, unless you were Blade. The two walked along in silence for the most part, small talk was exchanged here and there. Nothing too exciting, but he couldn’t help but find himself staring at this pony when she spoke to him, it was like he was hung on her every word. But that couldn’t be right could it? His thoughts were interrupted when two masked stallions jumped from the bushes into Twilights path. “Hey little mare. Why don’t you come a little closer?” snarled the bigger of the two. “Huhu, yea, come closer.” copied the smaller and obviously less intelligent. Blade had already had enough of this, he stepped forward into view. The two stallions masked expressions would have been the same if they were just spoken to by a ghost, except ghosts don’t kill you for stepping on their hooves. “What do you two idiots want with this mare?” Blade asked as he took another step closer. They did not respond, it is difficult to do so when you’re completely petrified. “I asked you a question!” Blade said a bit louder than the first time, and took another step closer. “Ummm, we were just leaving.” stammered the larger one. “Uhh, yeah, leaving.” agreed the smaller. Blade lowered his head slightly, darkening his eyes. He may as well had threatened to beat them to death, because that’s how they ran, two ponies scared out of their mind who wanted nothing more than to live through this encounter. “What was that all about” Twilight asked. “Umm.. I..er.,” Blade stammered, for some reason he didn’t actually want this mare to know why they were so afraid of him, “I’m uhh.. I’m a bodyguard! And uh.. They must have seen me before.” he lied. “Oh, well they sure were afraid of you!” Twilight said. “Yeah let’s just keep walking.” Blade told her as they continued walking to the station. When they got there, the beautiful purple mare got on the train, and just before it took off she said “I hope to see you again!” and just like that, she was gone. Ponyville huh? He would have to remember that. On his way home Blade was still spilling traceable amounts of Mareijuana, leaving a trail that led all the way into his house. He sat the torn bag on his table and laid down though, he had a suspicious feeling that something bad was about to happen to him....He just couldn’t quite put his hoof on it.
