Chapter 1: Ja Generalleutnant (Yes General)View OnlineThe Moon's Iron crossChapter 1: Ja Generalleutnant (Yes General)I frowned as more mud from the trench filled my boots, until the final bubble of air-popped. I took a seat on an empty ammunition crate and took off my boot and began emptying the seemingly endless supply of mud. Once the distant sound of artillery screaming through the sky finally reached my ears, I pressed my helmet as close to my head as possible. Explosions began to destroy the ground around me. The British forces usually charged our positions once the artillery ceased. I put the half mud-filled boot back on and got to my gunning position on an MG 08. Hundreds of empty shell casings lay scattered on the ground. Each one symbolizing the amount of life taken by this gun. A sharp whistle and roar of men flooded the valley of No Man's Land. I started to shoot at anything that held a rifle and a British helmet on. After what seemed like hours we had finally forced the allies to retreat. I was sitting down on a box filled with empty casings attaching a bayonet to my Gew 98 rifle. I knew we would charge soon. That was our tactic when the retreat they are tired when they are tired they are weak, when they are weak we attack! A sharp whistle from the middle of our trench signaled the charge. My fellow Germans let out loud battle cries as if they were trying to summon their fallen brothers to give them strength. They were doing just that. I climbed out of the trench and ran towards the enemy. my brothers fell to the bullets from rifles and machine guns alike. Mortar shells ripped apart bodies and barbed wire. Suddenly a mortar shell dug into the ground in front of me. (Flashback) "Bang bang bang." The sounds of children filled the air. "Gah ha ha ha" Me and my friends were playing in my backyard on my birthday. We were wearing grey and green 'uniforms' and used sticks as rifles and rocks as grenades. My mother and father were talking to the parents of my friends and now and then look at us and smile. Suddenly my friend threw a rock at my feet. (Flashback end) I opened my eyes and was temporarily blinded by the light of a full moon and I moved my arms in front of me to shield my eyes. I felt weird but I just shrugged it off as shell shock. When I tried to get to my feet I feel right back down. I looked at my arms but only saw the end of my sleeves. I began to hyperventilate and brought them closer to my face. To my surprise, there was no blood. The spot where my wrists were supposed to be as hard and grey. I also looked at my feet and saw them too were missing. I also had a tail, a FUR tail! The realization of my condition suddenly became clear. I had become a horse! I looked to my side to find my rifle and grenades. I re-equipped myself and put my helmet back on.
Chapter 3: Was war das?!?! (What was that?!?!)View OnlineThe Moon's Iron crossChapter 3: Was war das?!?! (What was that?!?!)It was still dark out and cool enough to put on those extra layers. They could also provide some amount of protection. After opening the double doors that allowed entrance to the courtroom I was almost immediately jumped on by a pile of wood. Wait. The wood is, moving?!?! The pile of wood took the shape of a wolf. A very large, smelly, wolf. I scampered backward and so did the wolf. It got into a position that dogs got into before they jump forward. (Flashback) I was with my parents in our Model-T. They had told me that they had a surprise for me. I bounced with the amount of excitement I had. Suddenly my dad pulled out a blindfold and told me to put it on. After a few missteps, I finally walked into a store by the sound of the bell jingling. After walking and bumping into boxes we finally stopped. "You can take the blindfold off now son." My dad sounded happy. I took off my blindfold and sitting in front of me. wagging its tail was a German shepherd. I took a sharp intake of and jumped on the dog. He started to lick my face and pant like dogs do when they are happy. After my mom and dad pulled me off of him and stood me up they asked me a question. "What are you gonna name it sweetheart?" I thought long and hard and finally, I thought of the perfect name. "Kässier! He should be a part of the family." I had named the dog Kässier our last name. "Good choice Heinrich!" My father patted me on the shoulders. (Flashback end) ]The Timber wolf (Named and discovered by Heinrich Kässier) lunged at me. Fear and adrenaline rushed through my body as I raised my rifle with the red, white and black aura around it (It's magic I ain't gotta explain shit! Plus he is MY non-canon oc so fuck off! I am talking to you, yea you down in the comment section, get the fuck back up here!) With my eyes closed I pulled the trigger. BANG! I opened my eyes and the Timber wolf (Named and discovered by Heinrich Kässier) was inches away from my face but it was just hanging in the air not moving. I had finally noticed the gaping hole in the middle of the beast's eyes. It's green eye's disappeared and its body fell to the floor into a large woodpile. Finally, I was safe. "What is the name of Celestia was that?!?!" I heard someone shout in a raspy girlish voice. Crap!
Chapter 2: Wo zum Teufel bin ich? (where the hell am I?)View OnlineThe Moon's Iron crossChapter 2: Wo zum Teufel bin ich? (where the hell am I?)After a while of getting used to my new body, I found my way out of the woods and found a dirt road. I found that I could use what I found to be a horn to levitate objects. My rifle was pointed down to the road but high enough that if a threat arises I could defend myself. I still had my watch and according to it was the middle of the day. It was, for some reason warmer than it should be on the Eastern front. I took off some of my layers and packed them away in the backpack I still had. After hours of walking, I finally came across an abandoned castle the walls covered with moss and riddled with holes. There must have been a battle here. I couldn't see any bodies or shells, or guns. It started to get dark so I decided to rest here for the night. I found what seemed to be a bedroom and bed. I rested my rifle by the side of the bed and pistole under the pillow. I pulled my gas mask out to put on just in case of a gas attack, but I found that it too had changed to fit my new face. I put it on and lay down. The sound of my breathing echoed throughout the room as I drifted off to sleep. (Flashback) I was marching with my friends down to the roads of Berlin, Germany. Our uniforms clean, our rifles polished, and helmets gleaming. We were chanting the anthem of our great nation. German army: "Heil dir im Siegerkranz, Herrscher des Vaterlands! Heil, Kaiser, dir! Fühl in des Thrones Glanz Die hohe Wonne ganz, Liebling des Volks zu sein! Heil Kaiser, dir!" (Hail to thee in the victor's Crown, Ruler of the fatherland! Hail to thee, emperor Feel the splendor of the throne Filled with the greatest joy to be the favorite of the people! Hail to thee, emperor!) We had joined the army to fight for our great Fatherland. (Flashback end) I woke with a jerk. The castles wall echoed with the sounds of wolves. I grabbed my rifle and moved to the entryway.
Chapter 4View OnlineThe Moon's Iron crossChapter 4I hear the sound of multiple horses approaching. "They must be British cavalry!" I ran behind some fallen pillars and reloaded my rifle. Finally, A group of six figures entered the building. But instead of people they where small multi-color ponies. The purple one stepped forward. "Hello? Is anypony here?" The purple pony that not only had wings and a horn, she also seemed to be their leader. "Who are you? What do you want?" The group was taken aback by the response. "My name is Twilight Sparkle, these are my friends; Rainbow Dash, Apple Jack, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Fluttershy. Who are you?" "Allies or Axis?" The group was silent. "Allies?" The mare called Twilight Sparkle said in a worried/confused voice. I fired a shot at the mare but the bullet landed in the wall near her. "Take cover!" shouted in a southern like voice. I recocked my rifle and aimed at the ruble they had hidden behind. I came out of my shooting position and moved forward. "Surender! "A flash of blue and rainbow came at me and struck me backward against a wall. As I regained my composure I saw a Rainbow maned mare standing triumphantly. I attached a bayonet to the end of my rifle. "For Germany!" I charged at her and her pupils shrunk. Suddenly I was hit in the side by an orange hoof out of Rainbow Dash's path. A purple bubble surrounded me keeping me in place. I tried to use a knife to pop my glowing prison, alas it wouldn't break. "Release me at once you Allied mules!"
