“Stop! This is not your boutique! And if this is what success in Canterlot looks like, I want no part of it! Now, make up flyers for a going-out-of-business sale! I'm closing Canterlot Carousel!”
“What?! No! Oh, you can't, Rarity! I-I've worked too hard to make this a success! I can't be a part of another failed boutique!”
“I’m sorry, darling, but you’ll just have to—”
“...Look at me.”
“Pardon me? Exactly what are you getting at now—”
“Just look at me… Look at me, and you’ll understand.”
“Hmmph fine.”
“Understand now?”
“I’m sorry darling, but I’m just not… I… I-I… sorry, what was I saying?”
“You were saying that you were just not ready to call it quits yet, Rarity. You want to get back to work, don’t you?”
“But why would I… no… no, I suppose you’re right, Sassy. I would like to get back to work.”
“There’s still a lot of work you need to do, Rarity. You want to make my boutique a success, don’t you?”
“Nngh—I… I do.”
Stitch stitch stitch. A needle looped in an out of sparkly blue fabric, leaving wide spaces between each stitch. It was an almost hypnotic pattern. Machine-like in its efficiency. It produced workmanlike results, without passion or drive. That was good. That was all it needed to be.
Rarity finished another blind hem, completing her work on the newest Princess Dress. Her eyes darted across the fabric, searching for any loose threads that needed back stitching. Once again, none did. It was another perfect product.
She swiveled around in her stool, magic plucking a hanger from a nearby rack. The dress slipped onto it before finding itself hung up in a row with dozens just like it. Rarity’s magic was already grabbing at new supplies before she turned back to the desk.
She just had to keep working. It was like her brain itched if she stopped. “Keeping going! Hurry!” It would cry whenever she paused, even if it was just to hang up a finished piece. Completing a job was a necessary evil, but it still kept her from working.
Scissors cut out a new piece of fabric. Dress number… whatever, was already underway. Rarity had no idea how many she’d made so far. She stopped counting a while ago, if she had been in the first place.
In truth, she’d stopped thinking a while ago too. Thoughts were too intrusive. How could she focus on working when stuff like “this doesn’t follow the Rules of Rarity” or “wasn’t I just leaving” constantly bouncing around in her head.

Sassy Saddles entered the workshop. Rarity didn’t notice. Sassy smiled, seeing the unicorn working so hard. Rarity didn’t notice. Sassy grabbed the half full rack of Princess Dresses and wheeled them out to be displayed. Rarity didn’t notice.
Before long, she found herself completing another blind hem. It was here, as she was about to hang it up on a new rack, that Rarity finally noticed something.
She needed to relieve herself. A pang of desperation forced her to cross her legs. She really needed to relieve herself. Her bladder felt ready to burst, reaching a point where it could finally force a warning signal through the dense cloud that was Rarity’s mind.
I suppose I have been working a while. Rarity conceded. There were no windows in her workshop. No clocks. Not even a sundial, like that would help. She could only guess how long she’d been at it, but the stress from her bladder told her it was long enough. Standing, Rarity prepared to go excuse herself to the lady’s room.

Rarity sat back down. Her eyes pulled her to the next swatch of fabric. Her legs crossed in increasingly comical ways, but she didn’t stand again.

“Ah…” Rarity bit her lip. What to do? She couldn’t stop working, she just couldn’t. But it was becoming increasingly clear that she couldn’t hold it for much longer. The tighter she held, the more it felt like her eyes were going to pop out of her skull.

She sat back down.
“MMMmmmMMMmmmMM!” Rarity kept her screaming in the back of her throat, but some unprofessional sounds still made it through. It was maddening! Torn between the work she couldn’t leave and the call she couldn’t ignore.
“Everything alright back here?” Sassy poked her head in the room, having heard her… interesting cry for help.
“Sassy I need to keep working!” Rarity squeaked, hind legs tying themselves in a pretzel knot.
One glance told the mare everything she needed to know. “Don’t worry, I planned for this.”
She walked in, magic fetching a small saddlebag stowed near the front of the room. Sassy took her time opening the flap while Rarity squirmed. “After I… Erhem. After you decided to keep working, I figured it would be a good idea to pick up some of these.”
A white, poofy square was produced from the bag. It dangled before a confused scrunch that doubled as Rarity’s face.
“Uhmm… and that is?”
Sassy telekinetically unfolded the square, revealing it to be a large, thick diaper. “Tada!” she smirked, quite proud of herself.
Rarity’s jaw drop. Pee almost dribbled out of her. “Sassy!” she cried, before clamping her mouth shut. What if a customer had heard her? “Is that a… diaper?!”
“Indeed it is.” Were her lips… pursing in amusement? “Come on, lie down and I’ll fix you up. Then you can get back to work.”
The promise to continue her job actually got Rarity’s flank off her stool, but she stiffened. “Wait… on me?” she pointed to the diaper. “That?”
Sassy rolled her eyes. “Rarity, don’t be difficult. You have so many dresses to finish.”
Goosebumps were forming all along Rarity’s back. She’d been away from work for too long already. “But…”
Sassy groaned. “Fine, we can do it the hard way. Look at me.”
The command took over. Rarity found herself staring intently into Sassy’s eyes. She didn’t even register the golden glow of Sassy’s horn, nor the similarly colored tint that came to dominate her vision.
“You are going to wear this diaper.” Sassy spoke calmly, with authority.
“Mmmm…” Rarity’s lip quivered in defiance.
“You are going to wear this diaper.” Sassy pointed to the floor. “Lie down.”
That, Rarity found much easier to do. She still didn’t want to wear the diaper, but she had to admit Sassy’s argument was convincing nonetheless.
“Spread your legs.”
Rarity gulped at that. She was still holding back her bladder, after all. But if Sassy said so…
Her hind legs opened up.
“Now,” Sassy held the diaper in her hoof, but curiously her horn was still alight. “Are you going to wear this?”
Rarity whimpered, but nodded. The goosebumps had become a full body itch at this point. Sassy was right, she needed to get back to work soon. And if that meant a diaper, then Rarity would just have to weather it.
“Good.” Sassy set the diaper down, pushing it until it nudged Rarity’s hindquarters. “Legs up.”
Rarity had to fight the urge not to pee, her drive to hop back in the stool and keep working, and her own distaste for the garment. But she did manage to raise her legs and remain still.
The diaper slid beneath her her hindquarters. Her tail was threaded through a hole in the back. When Sassy said to bring her legs down, Rarity complied. But she couldn’t stay still as the diaper wrapped around her waist. She fidgeted. She winced. Some part of her couldn’t help but feel this was wrong, despite what Sassy told her.
Sassy smoothed the tapes of the diaper in place, and stepped back. Finally, her horn dimmed. The gold tinting of Rarity’s vision seemed to fade with it, but she paid that no mind. She was much more concerned with the diaper.
The padding encasing her plot and her… lady area was so soft it was unnerving. It was like a hug from a cloud. She poked at the crotch of the diaper, watching her hoof sink into the crinkly plastic. It made her shiver.
“I’m going back to work now.” Sassy moved for the door, but paused to look back at Rarity. “You should too.”
“O-Oh, right!” Rarity scuttled to her hooves. The poof on her backside spread her hind legs out, making it hard to hold back her bladder.
Wait… she was trying to hold it? But, then what was the diaper for if not finally being able to let go?
Rarity pondered that as Sassy left and she took her spot at the stool again. Her plot sank into the thick padding, making her wince. But it couldn’t stop her from getting back to work, scissors cutting away. She resumed her assembly line-esque method of production. Almost back to normal.
Because despite the need, she still couldn’t bring herself to piddle her pampers.
I really need to… She tried to cross her legs, but the padding was too thick. It crinkled louder than her thoughts. Her scissors slipped, slicing an unnecessary cut in the fabric.
Rarity gaped in horror.
She’d just made a mistake. That was going to delay her work!

It had to be. Her childish insistence to not have an accident in her diaper was what led to this mistake. She was disobeying Sassy every second her padding remained dry, and disobeying Sassy would hurt Canterlot Carousel.
Rarity pressed her lips together. She knew what she had to do to get back to working.

She relaxed her body, closed her eyes, and waited. As desperate as her bladder was, it needed no convincing. Pee trickled out, before erupting into a yellow waterfall.

“Ahhhhh…” That was the feeling of relief she needed. Her padding greedily soaked up her accident. It swelled, going from dry and crisp to soggy and squishy. Even the front of the diaper grew yellow and bulged out. Her potty break had torn through the thick layers of fluff like it was nothing.
The feeling was… unpleasant to say the least. Warm, yet damp. Her plot sank into the squishy padding even further than before, causing it to squelch. And the smell, stale and rancid. Rarity’s nose wrinkled in dismay.
She was only halfway finished peeing herself, but she wanted out of this diaper. Even if it was just a change into a cleaner one. It was gross. It was degrading.

But she had a job to do. Even fetching Sassy for a change, or getting the saddlebag for herself, would keep her away from it for too long. She had to work. She needed to work.
Rarity returned to cutting the fabric. Her thoughts slowly faded as the snip of scissors drowned them out in their rhythm. The continued wetting of her diaper seemed like such a minor annoyance. Especially compared to making sure Canterlot Carousel succeeded.
So as the dry corners of her diaper fell to oppressive wetness, Rarity didn’t focus on it. Nor the way her diaper squished with each small movement she made. She didn’t even noticed when she’d finally stopped peeing.
She just fell into the routine of making the Princess Dress over and over again, pushing out thought as she maintained the simple, repetitive actions.
After all, she had to keep going, keep working, keep Canterlot Carousel successful. Peeing herself seemed so trivial in comparison.
Rarity had no idea how much time had passed, nor did she really care to find out. If she paid attention, she would have noticed that her warm diaper had become cold and clammy. But she didn’t.
She just kept working.
Eventually Sassy came back in for the next order of dresses. And what she found made her face shrivel up in disgust. “Uugh!”
Sassy’s voice got Rarity to turn her head. Her ears folded down. Had she done something wrong?
Sassy pointed just below Rarity. “That’s simply horrifying, Rarity.”
Rarity looked down, and her pupils shrank. She must have used her diaper again at some point, because she’d sprung a leak. Pee unable to be absorbed was trickling down her leg, onto the stool, and dripping down into a puddle below.
The realization that was wearing a diaper, and had used a diaper, and had used the diaper so thoroughly that her pee was leaking out onto the floor suddenly bore down on Rarity. Her face flushed beet red. She even momentarily forgot about her work.
“I-I didn’t mean to!” Rarity cried out. The stench of her overdone accident hung in the air, amplifying her shame.
Sassy groaned. “Think, Rarity. What if some of this had gotten on the dresses?”
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry!”
“Clearly.” Sassy’s horn lit up. “Look at me.”
Even with guilt making her want to avert her gaze, Rarity felt a pull to look at Sassy. The world around her looked just a bit golden when she did.
“Get off the stool and lie down.” Rarity complied with a whimper. She felt disgusting.
Sassy fetched her supply saddle, and pulled out a few wipes. It gave Rarity some solace. At least she was going to be changed now.
But to her surprise, Sassy didn’t untape the diaper. She ran the cold wipes along Rarity’s legs, soaking up the streams of pee that had escaped. The wipes were balled up and disposed up, and Sassy returned to the saddlebag.
“Aren’t you going to change me?” Rarity pleaded.
“You don’t deserve a change, Rarity. Your foolishness almost ruined this boutique!”
Her stomach filled with lead. Of course! How shameful of her! She could’ve run Sassy’s reputation into the ground with her careless mistake. Where did she get off, thinking she should be changed?
Sassy retrieved a fresh diaper from the bag. “But we do need to prevent leaks from happening again, don’t we?”
“Y-Yes…” Rarity murmured, too ashamed of herself to disagree.
Sassy unfolded the new diaper and set it down. She didn’t even need to tell Rarity what to do; once had been enough to instill the routine in her. Legs went up, diaper went under, tail went through, legs came down.
Rarity cringed as the second diaper was folded over her first. The wet padding was pressed against her coat, no doubt staining her white fur. She just wanted this to be over already so she could get back to work.
The tapes were patted down, sealing Rarity’s wet shame with a new, pristine layer of padding.
“There,” Sassy said. “That should hold.” She reached back into her saddlebag and withdrew a canister of wipes. She passed it to Rarity. “Now clean up your workstation.”
Rarity’s eyes broke away to see her shame up close and personal. The damp trail on the stool, the puddle on the floor… seriously, what was wrong with her for thinking that was okay?
“Yes, Sassy,” Rarity murmured.
Sassy raised an eyebrow. Her horn glowed brighter. “Yes ma’am,” she corrected.
“Yes ma’am.”
A knowing smirk. “Good. And when you’re done, you’re going to go out there and apologize to everypony for causing a delay.”
Her muscles tensed. “Looking like this?” The horror of exposing herself to their clientele while double diapered overpowered any other feeling of hers, if for just a moment. “Absolutely n—… uh…” Sassy’s glare was piercing. “But… I…”
Sassy rolled her eyes. “You’re so high maintenance.”
“Sorry…”
She stood, towering over Rarity. “But, I will see what I can do for you.”
“Thank you, ma’am.” Rarity plucked wipes from the canister and turned to her mess. The compulsion to just get back to work was strong, but orders were orders.
While she went about her work, Sassy moved around the room behind her. Rarity heard the scrape of hangers across the rack, but thought nothing of it. She just focused on cleaning every inch of the stool. Even when the pee was gone she just grabbed a new wipe and gave it another once over to cure it of lingering stickiness.
Meanwhile the snip of scissors filled the room. A sewing machine turned on. A draw was opened and closed. Still, Rarity didn’t look up. The puddle on the ground demanded her attention.
Once that had been dealt with she balled up the used wipes and threw them away. Her mind was antsy, desiring the lull of work to distract from the soggy padding pressing against her privates right now. But she couldn’t move. Sassy had demanded one more thing from her.
“Here.”
Rarity’s head swiveled to Sassy. She saw her boss holding a Princess Dress in her magic, but a clearly modified one.
The top was relatively the same, but once her eyes drifted to the skirt Rarity noticed prime differences. The three overlapping skirts had all been shortened. They wouldn’t even manage to cover somepony’s plot. Hanging beneath that, was a hatch, made from extra fabric. Buttons had been attached to allow it to close.
It looked like a onesie… but there was no way it could actually be that.
“You can’t use a real Princess Dress, obviously,” Sassy said, indicating the diaper. “You’d ruin it in a heartbeat. But you have to represent the brand regardless.”
“Uh…” Rarity didn’t know what to say. She backed away from the outfit ever so slightly.
Sassy frowned. Her horn glowed. “You’re so grateful, you’re speechless.”
Not a question, but Rarity answered with a nod anyway. She tightened her lips. Truly, she was. It was so great of Sassy to make that… thing for her.
“Put it on.” Sassy passed off the outfit to Rarity’s magical hold, and waited.
At first, Rarity wasn’t sure… but she knew Sassy hadn’t made a request. She slipped the former dress over her head and brought it down. Her hooves poked through the sleeves, and her head popped out the other end. She looked back at the seat of the outfit warily.
“Allow me.” Sassy’s magic fastened the buttons, stretching the hatch so it fit over her poofy plot. “Annnd voilà!” Sassy stepped back to admire her work. And snickered. “You look good.”
“I… do?” Rarity frowned. The skirts did nothing to cover her diapers, leaving it all to the hatch. It was obvious something was underneath. Not to mention it still reminded her all too much of a onesie…
“Of course you do.” Sassy stifled a giggle. “Now go apologize to my customers. Then you can get back to work. You’ve wasted enough of everyone’s time already.”

Rarity had to get back to work. “Right! Yes ma’am! Sorry ma’am!”
Sassy moved to the door to the shop, and Rarity hobbled after. Just one diaper had been a hassle to move with, but two was ridiculous. She was waddling like a foal for Celestia’s sake. Not to mention she heard a chorus of squishes and crinkles with each step. She just hoped they weren’t noticeable.
She entered the shop, face burning. Ponies were idly standing about, chatting. Very few Princess Dresses were in the store, with most being swept up for the line for the changing room. Frustrated looks were common.
Rarity felt sick to her stomach. She’d caused this, by being a no-good pamper piddling, pathetic excuse for a pony. Her cheeks glowed red.
Sassy cleared her throat and nudged her.
“Oh… uhm…” Rarity spoke up. “A-Attention, everypony?” Chit-chat died down, faces turned to her. Rarity shuffled, hoping her bulging rear went unnoticed at this angle. “I just want to apologize for the lack of Princess Dresses at the moment. It is entirely my fault.”
Looks were exchanged. Frowns were aimed her way. Most ponies just looked annoyed, as if her apology gave them a target for their frustrations. Many looked like they were judging her choice of wardrobe.
Rarity wanted to curl up and die.
“Thank you, Rarity,” Sassy said. “You may return to your work now.”
“Yes ma’am,” Rarity squeaked. Head lowered, she backpedalled into the workroom. squish crinkle squish.
Her fear of being discovered, her humiliation from everything, all of it quickly left her mind. Rarity was soon back to work, and work was the only thing that mattered.
But her blush never did leave her cheeks.
After a while, Rarity’s horn ached. She switched to sewing with just her hooves. Not as efficient, but she was still churning out dresses. It was still the only thing on her mind, after all.
She was so focused, that she didn’t see the spoon full of food even when it was right under her nose.
“Eat.” She heard Sassy’s voice say.
Hooves still flying, Rarity opened her mouth. The spoon deposited something brown and sugary on her tongue. It tasted… good. She “Mmm”d as the spoon parted her closed lips.
Sassy chuckled, but what about Rarity couldn’t say. “Open wide.”
Rarity obeyed, taking the time to look at the spoon this time. Her meal looked like… foal food? No, that couldn’t be right. It tasted so good. And she was a grown up anyway, if you ignored the wet diapers and the onesie.
It must have been something Sassy had made for her so she didn’t have to stop working to eat dinner. What a considerate boss, a thought floated around her head. Hadn’t had one of those in a while.
Sassy kept spoon feeding her, chuckling all the while. Rarity never found out what was so funny, but the monotonous work and the tasty food really made her not care. It wasn’t as important as getting more dresses done, that was for sure.
Eventually, the food stopped coming. Just as well, if Rarity concentrated she could tell she felt full. But now her mouth was coated with bits of mushy food…
As if to answer the complaint, a rubber nipple entered her mouth. Her eyes darted down. Milk sloshed around in a bottle just before her lips. That was confusing. Why did—
“Suckle.”
Rarity’s vision went golden, and she obeyed. Her lips moved back and forth, bobbing against the amber nipple. Cold creamy milk splashed into her mouth, washing down the few bits of remaining food. The more Rarity suckled, the more she was rewarded. It was quickly adopted as part of her current routine.

“We’re closed for the day, Rarity,” Sassy half-giggled to a mare barely hearing her. “But keep working. You lost a lot of ground today. I need to go get something for you, so I’ll be back in a few hours, okay?”
Rarity suckled. Rarity stitched. Rarity nodded vacantly.
Something about the end of the day… was it night already? She couldn’t be bothered to care; dresses needed to be made.
“Keep working, little filly,” Sassy said as she strode out the workplace, laughing.
Rarity almost thought to ask what was so funny, but her eyelids drooped. Her milk was tasty. Her hooves were busy. Nothing else mattered.

But, just because Rarity’s mind was distracted didn’t mean her body was. In fact, the very act of being fed seemed to remind it that it had something very important to take care of at the moment.
Rarity could feel a pressure mounting her bowels, but hardly considered that it meant anything. Not work related, not important.
When she instinctively lifted off the stool, she still wasn’t convinced anything important was happening. Same for when her tail lifted up into the air.
As the pushing began, Rarity’s cheeks flushed, but she couldn’t understand why.
As a log of mush pushed its way into her diaper, she merely suckled on her bottle.
The more steaming mess that entered her sodden diaper, the harder she suckled, as though she was trying not to think about it.
Her diapers sagged under the heavy load. The buttons of her onesie nearly popped. Rarity hung her finished dress on a rack and moved on.
She finally sat back down. The squishy sensation of warm poop couldn’t rouse her from her trance, even as it mashed against her plot. Her body did shiver though, as if some part of her could acknowledge this utter travesty that had befallen the once image-conscious mare.
But the thick haze guarding Rarity’s mind prevented that from getting through to her. So she sat in her wet, messy diapers, suckled her bottle well after it was empty, and fiddled away with the next Princess Dress.
Rarity was slipping. Her body wobbled in the chair, doing wonders to spread around the messy love at her undercarriage. Her eyes struggled to stay open, even the horrendous smell around the room wasn’t snapping her awake. Her hooves poked useless at the sewing machine before her, unable to muster the strength for the on switch.

“I think that’s enough for tonight,” Sassy said, appearing at Rarity’s side.
The amber nipple between Rarity lips finally slipped out. Her bottle clattered to the floor. “Gotta… work…”
Sassy’s horn glowed. “No more work for tonight, Rarity.”
Just like that, the itch compelling her to move faded away. Rarity slumped back, and was caught by Sassy.
“I…” Rarity sniffed the air, and recoiled. “Uugh… what’s that unholy sme—” She felt her padding. Her cold, soaked, mushy padding. “UuuUUUUOOuuGHHH!”
Rarity squirmed with what little strength she had left. She looked down and saw the onesie she was wearing. She saw the stain, bulging padding barely hidden underneath it. Had she a shred of energy left in her she’d be thrashing and screaming up a storm. Tartarus would have feared her. But…
“You worked so hard,” Sassy cooed. “So hard to keep my boutique a success.”
“Your… boutique?” Rarity shook her head. That didn’t sound right. Wasn’t she… didn’t she… shouldn’t she…?
Sassy chuckled. “Let’s get you to bed.” Sassy levitated a befuddled Rarity up and turned her around.
Still trying to come to terms with what was going on, Rarity was unprepared for the sight of a giant crib. “Excuse me?!” When had Sassy built this? Come to think of it, when had she gotten back?
Questions swam through Rarity’s mind, yet she couldn’t find the strength to ask one. A powerful yawn overtook her and she realized just how sapped she was.
So while Rarity was busy trying to figure out why any of this was happening, Sassy levitated her down into the adult sized crib. The soft mattress made her want to melt. Even though her mind was clearer than it had been all day, Rarity could only barely think. And now, she didn’t even want to.
A blanket wrapped around her. Sassy giggled to herself. Rarity sniffed, the foul air reminding her of the mess between her legs.
“Wait,” she croaked. “Aren’t you going to change me?”
Sassy clicked her tongue disappointedly. “After you tried to quit today? After you made that mess on the floor? After you delayed so many customers their dresses? Honestly, Rarity, do you think you deserve a change?”
“Well… no…” Why was Sassy convincing her? What did she mean by quit? And why—
“If you’re a diligent and hardworking filly tomorrow, maybe I’ll change you after you finish the newest order.” Sassy smirked. She looked like a mare reveling in total victory. “That’s fair, is it not?”
Rarity sniffled. She guessed she had made trouble today. “Yes?”
“Yes what?”
“Yes ma’am.”
Sassy smirked again. “How about ‘Yes, Mommy’? I think it’s appropriate, given your… circumstance.”
“Y-Yes, Mommy,” Rarity whimpered. What was happening? Was she really not going to get out of this diaper until tomorrow night? But it’s filthy!
“And cheer up, Rarity,” Sassy said, horn igniting. “I’ve ensured this boutique will never fail! I think that counts for a lot, don’t you?
Rarity didn’t understand it, but she did feel more… content. Like Sassy’s words were a comfort, after a fashion. She did wonder why her vision had gotten slightly golden all of a sudden, but when she closed her eyes to sleep it went away. Just like all of her concern.
