Fancy Pants was in a desert like area. The Mark VII suit was using thrusters to fly through the air.
“Machina, temperature status.” Fancy Pants said.
“Current temperature, 182 degrees fahrenheit.” Machina said.
“Yikes. Crank up the air conditioning.” Fancy Pants said.
“Roger that.” Machina said. Fancy flew for a few more minutes.
“Alright Machina, send in the drones.” Fancy Pants said. Two seconds later, he hears thrusters following him. “You sent them earlier didn’t you?”
“I didn’t want to leave you waiting.” Machina said. Two robot ponies were seen closing in from behind him.
“Touche.” Fancy Pants said as he performed an aileron roll to avoid bullets flying at him.
The robot ponies pursued him with killing intent.
Fancy Pants looked at a canyon like area.
“Here we go. Take notes Machina.” Fancy Pants said.
“Taking notes sir.” She said. Fancy Pants flew to the canyon and pulled tight turns. As the robots flew after him. They were shooting at him still, but when Fancy took a 90 degree turn, one of the robots crashed head first into the rocks. The other one stopped and flew upwards.
Fancy pants looked backwards, seeing the broken robot fall to the ground.
“One down.” He said. He saw in his peripheral vision, the other robot pony flying above him. Fancy Pants flipped so his back was facing the ground and blasted two repulsor beams at it, taking out the wing and causes it to crash.
Fancy Pants flew into the air to look at the destroyed robots.
“I’m getting better at this. Let’s clean this mess up.” Fancy Pants said. He was then shot out of the sky by a missile. He hits the ground hard and a lot of his armor flew off, leaving only his armored front hooves and an opened helmet.
“There was one more.” Machina said.
“I’m aware of that.” Fancy Pants said. He looked up and saw the robot launched another missile at him. Fancy used his front hooves to grab the missile. It was a struggle but he turned it around and threw it at the robot pony, blowing it up.
“Anymore surprises?” Fancy Pants asked as his armor reattached back onto him.
“There’s a rather strong magic reading a few miles to the west. Feel like investigating?” Machina asked.
“Not now. Let’s clean up and head back, I’ve got upgrades to make.” Fancy Pants said.
“Roger that sir. Initiating clean up protocol.” Machina said.
“Thank you Machina. Also, remind me, am I low on wine?” Fancy asked.
“Sir, I really think you should lay off of the-”
“Answer the question.” Fancy said.
“No, you’re not.”
“Thanks for the info.” Fancy said as he started flying with the thrusters.
A few days go by, Starlight and Big Macintosh were in an open field. Starlight had a stack of books in front of her before trotting to Big Macintosh.
“Are you ready Big Mac?” Starlight asked.
“Eeyup. Just like we practiced.” Big Macintosh said. Starlight lit up her horn.
“Shields.” She said. She started blasting magic towards him. Big Macintosh brought up a shield causing the blasts to bounce off. She blasted some more, but they were blocked. They both discharged the magic.
“Transfiguration.” Starlight said. She used her magic to throw plates in the air. Big Macintosh blasted towards the plates transforming them into different objects. The last one was turned into an apple. Big Macintosh grabbed the apple and started eating it.
“Alright, teleportation. Think you won’t get lost this time?” Starlight asked.
“Hopefully.” Big Macintosh said. Starlight started teleporting. Big Macintosh teleported with her.
They went to a canyon, then teleported to a cave, teleported to canterlot, and then back to ponyville. Well, Starlight teleported back to Ponyville. Big Macintosh didn’t return to ponyville.
Starlight panted a little.
“Well, that was-” Starlight started to say as she turned around. She noticed Big Macintosh wasn’t there.
“Not again.” She said. She ran to the cutie map to find where he was. Upon seeing he was in Mareway, she teleported there.
She teleported to Big Macintosh’s location and looked for him. She looked around for him for a little bit, then she tried to call his name.
“Big Macintosh?” She called.
“Up here.” Big macintosh said as he waved from on top of a roof. His harness was off.
“Why’d you take off your harness?” Starlight asked. Big Macintosh pointed to a sign, Starlight looks and it showed it was a sign to a museum. This is when she realized that there were a bunch of ponies were walking into the museum.
“Oh.” Starlight said. Big Macintosh drops the harness to the ground and climbed down to the ground. He picked the harness back up and walked to Starlight.
“You just gonna carry that around?” Starlight asked.
“Hopefully I find a backpack of some sort. Me carrying it won’t bring as much attention than wearing it, considering what it does.” Big Macintosh said.
“You have a point.” Starlight agreed. She looked at the museum.
“Let’s find a room in the museum to teleport back to ponyville without being seen. An employee’s only room might be exactly that.” Starlight said.
“Or be right in the view of the employee’s.” Big Macintosh said as they walked to the museum.
“Don’t be pessimistic.”
“I’m not, just being realistic.” Big Macintosh said as he opened the door and let Starlight walk inside, he follows after.
Starlight walked through the museum, she looked around for anywhere private that wasn’t a bathroom.
She looked behind her and saw Big Macintosh looking at a painting.
“Whatcha looking at?” She asked as she walked up to him. Big Macintosh pointed at a painting.
They both look at the painting of a male alicorn, with a golden mane, wielding a hammer into the air, sparking lightning into and from the air. Big Macintosh looked at the name on the painting.
Gullfaxi.
“Hey.” A male voice said from behind them. They both snapped around. There was a black worg with a red yin yang symbol for a cutie mark. “No need to spark a controversy, Male Alicorns were never real.”
“Well, that’s a relief.” Starlight faked a sweat wipe as the worg walked away.
“He seemed nice.” Big Macintosh said.
“Reassuring more like. Come on, let's keep looking for a safe place to teleport.” Starlight said. She started walking and Big Macintosh followed her.
As they walked, Starlight brought up conversation.
“So, that Gullfaxi painting. You seemed pretty interested in it, don’t you think?” She asked.
“I’ve always took an interest in Mythology. Apple Bloom loved hearing stories. Rock Hoof’s her personal favorite.” Big Macintosh replied.
“Interesting. So, you like Mythology too?” Starlight said.
“Eeyup. Wait, too?” Big Macintosh asked.
“Little reading hobby I had when I wasn’t learning spells.” She said. She saw a door that said, Employee’s only. “Over there.”
They both walk to the door. Big Macintosh looked around to make sure no one saw them, and Starlight peeked inside of the hall to make sure no employees were on the inside.
“We’re clear.” They both said. They look at each other with scrunched faces and then chuckled as they walked inside.
“Brace for the blinding light.” Big Macintosh said as he lifted the harness over his head as Starlight shielded her eyes. Big Macintosh put it on and went through the transformation.
Once he was in his Alicorn form, an explosion was heard and the ground shook.
“What the-” Big Macintosh could finish the roof was caved in, due to someone or something crashing through it. Starlight managed to teleport at the last second, Big Macintosh was not so lucky.
“Not exactly a method I would’ve approved of, but effective nonetheless.” Aras said as he was hovered in the air. Silver Flare flew back up to him.
“Good thing we were flying over this place when that element was activated.” Silver Flare said.
“Coincidences, gotta love them.” Aras said. Big Macintosh stood up, lifting the debris off of himself.
“That’s the one who woke the power of the Humility gem?” Silver Flare asked upon seeing Big Macintosh.
“Seems like- wait, Humility Gem? Is that what you call it?” Aras asked.
“I don’t feel like calling it the Element of Humility so I shortened it.” Silver Flare said. He snapped around and saw a large beam of magic sent his way. He brings up a small shield and blocked it.
“He’s got help?” Aras asked.
“Yes. I’ll deal with this, grab the gem.” Silver Flare said as he flew at Starlight’s direction.
“Right.” Aras said. He flew in front of Big Macintosh.
“You have something that belongs to me. Give it up and no more damage will be done.” Aras said. Big Macintosh looked at the other griffon flying away.
“I’m sorry, but I’m not giving you anything. You better leave.” Big Macintosh said. Aras glared at him.
“You’ve only wielded it for a couple of days. You expect me to believe you can match my power?” Aras asked.
“Eenope, but I can still make sure you don’t get this element. You’ll find out I’m harder to take down than ya think.” Big Macintosh said as he got in a defensive stance.
“I’ve grown impatient. That gem is mine.” Aras said. He sends out two magic blasts aimed at Big Macintosh. One hit him in the horn, the other hit the harness. Neither gave him the result Aras wanted.
Once he stopped, Big Mac’s horn and the gem on his harness were blinking a golden aura. Big Macintosh decided to blast back at him, but it was much more powerful than either one of them anticipated. Aras brought up a shield, but the force of the blast sent him flying into a building.
Big Macintosh’s jaw dropped from this.
“That ain’t something Starlight taught me yet.” Big Macintosh said. He saw Aras flew into the air, carrying half the building he was thrown into.
“Uh oh.” Big Macintosh said. His pupils shrank when Aras threw it at him.
Silver Flare flew to Starlight’s location. She was on top of a building. She started blasting magic at him. He maneuvers past the blasts and makes a glyph shield as Starlight tried to blast another powerful blast at him.
He divebombs towards her. She hops backwards, causing her to barely dodge the divebomb. She had a shield in front of her just in case.
Silver Flare made energy circle glyphs with his talons, standing on his hind hooves. Starlight’s eyes were wide and she was shocked.
“I.. I didn’t know Griffon’s could do magic.” Starlight said.
“And that’ll be the the last thing you learn.” Silver Flare responded. He throws the energy circles at her. Starlight blocked one, but it completely destroyed her shield. The other one, she dodged it and it misses her by an inch. Silver Flare uses telekinesis to lift debris off of the building and launched them at Starlight.
Starlight began to dodge and destroy them as they flew towards her. The last piece of debris, a steel vent, was thrown at her. She caught it and threw it back at him.
Silver Flare waved his talon, causing it to fly over his head.
Starlight started to blast at her once again.
The cape was the one that knocked the blast into another building.
“And a living cape?! Okay, this day is just getting stranger and stranger.” Starlight said. She started flying with her magic. Silver Flare flew at her and collided with her before she could get far.
The building thrown at Big Macintosh crashed hard against the ground. Big Mac flew out of the wreckage with his horn lit.
“That’s gonna be pretty expensive.” Big Macintosh said before looking back at Aras. He snapped his fingers and spikes began to come out of the ground. Big Macintosh moved to avoid them, maintaining to stay in the air.
Aras flew at him, full speed. Big Macintosh barrel rolls and avoids him. Aras throws a projectile his way. Big Macintosh couldn’t see it, but he felt it when it pierced his wing and sent him barreling in the street.
He hits the ground and looked at his wing. He saw a gash that was already starting to heal. He looked shocked but then he saw Aras’s shadow. He rolls to the right as Aras pierced something into the ground, aimed for Big Macintosh’s head.
A quick observation showed that it was an invisible sword with a slight smokey effect. Big Macintosh teleported to the other side of the street. Aras threw another invisible sword at him.
Big Macintosh brought up a shield and lodged it in there, barely saving his neck in a literal sense. He used his magic to pick it up. Aras charges at Big Macintosh again, this time, colliding into him, swords pressed against each other as Aras pushed him against a concrete wall.
“I will have that Element if your head needs to come off with it.” Aras said.
“Speaking of heads, what’s your take on head trauma?” Big Macintosh strained out. He teleported. Aras hit his talons against the wall, and turned around to look for Big Macintosh, only to turn into a flying concrete wall. This was indirectly thrown by Silver Flare.
Big Macintosh saw Silver Flare chasing Starlight Glimmer. He looked at some of the broken debris and picked some of it up.
Silver Flare picked up a street light with his telekinesis and was about to throw it at Starlight. This was when a concrete block clocked him in his temple, causing him to miss and then fix his gaze onto Big Macintosh. Big macintosh throws another one at him, but Silver Flare blocked it and began to fly towards him.
When he got close, A portal opened in a snowy tundra. Silver Flare collided into the snow before looking back up at the portal. Starlight Glimmer landed on the ground and closed the portal.
Big Macintosh looked at everything that had happened and was surprised at the damage.
“Whoa… we need to tell Twilight about this.” Big Macintosh said.
“I agree. Let’s get out of here first.” Starlight said. The two teleported away.
Soarin was in a bunker/garage like area, using a blowtorch on his E.M.P.S.
The door opens and Midnight Strike was on the other side.
“Soarin.” She called, causing Soarin to drop the blowtorch from being startled.
“Don’t do that, I’m not trying to burn myself.” Soarin said.
“Soarin, Spitfire wants to know if you’re ready to use the suit, something’s come up and she needs to know if you’re ready for action.” Midnight said.
“Just finished the last upgrade, what’s wrong?” Soarin asked.
“A massive attack happened in Mareway and there have been massive magic energy readings around the world.” Midnight said. Soarin looked at Midnight and then his modified suit.
“What are the locations?” Soarin asked.
“Ponyville, Zebrica, Neighpon, and Appaloosa. Mareway was recently attacked.” Midnight said.
“I’ll head to Neighpon.” Soarin said. The suit attached itself to Soarin, covering Soarin’s body.
“That is still the coolest thing I’ve seen in forever.” Midnight said. Soarin lifted the helmet and smirked.
“Coolest thing I’ve had the pleasure of putting on. Tell Spitfire that I’ll update when I’m in Neighpon.” Soarin said as he walked out of the door and flapped his metallic wings.
“Anything else?” Midnight asked.
“Yes, can you see if Rainbow Dash will be available thursday night?” Soarin asked as his helmet came up to show his face, which had a cheeky grin.
“We’ll see.” Midnight said. Soarin winked and flew off, combining his thrusters and wings to fly at top speed.
Midnight shook her head with a smirk. “Lucky.”
Twilight and Bandit were in an underground tunnel walking towards the source of magic. As they walked, Twilight’s horn was blinking, receiving a call.
“Hello?” She asked.
“Twilight.” Starlight’s voice said, her voice sounded like she was slightly hurt. Something Twilight managed to pick up on.
“Starlight? What’s wrong?” She asked.
“Big Macintosh and I got attacked. We were testing some spells, teleported to Mareway by accident and we were attacked.” Starlight explained.
“Do you know who attacked you?” She asked.
“Two griffons that could use magic.” Starlight said. Bandit’s ears twitched and he turned to look at Twilight.
“There’s another griffon that does magic?!” Twilight borderline exclaimed.
“Wait, another?” Starlight asked.
“Long story. Are you okay?” Twilight asked.
“I’m okay, Big Macintosh took the worst of it. One of them threw a building at-”
“Half a building.” Big Macintosh interrupted.
“Right, half a building at Big Macintosh.” Starlight continued.
“How bad does he look?” Twilight asked.
“I’m fi-”
“He’s not fine. He’s bruised up from head to flank. I’d be careful getting that other element, something might be after it.” Starlight warned.
“Bandit already warned me about the threats, but I will make sure to be more careful. Find a way to mask the magic so it’s not giving away your location.” Twilight said.
“Alright, good luck and be safe.” Starlight said.
“Wait, you were looking at my-” Starlight hung up before Big Macintosh finished that sentence.
“How much further until we get there?” Twilight asked.
“The Element is about 200 meters away.” Bandit said.
“Less than a mile. Fair enough.” Twilight said. They arrived at the location, but the Element was nowhere to be found.
“W-where is it?” Twilight asked, slightly panicked upon not seeing it. Bandit lifted up to his hind hooves and then lowered his head to the ground.
“It’s underground.” Bandit said. He looked at the tunnel he was in before rolling his eyes. “Under-Underground.” He said.
“So we start digging?” Twilight asked.
“I figure, blasting a hole down to it.” Bandit suggested.
“Won’t that cost a lot in damages?” Twilight asked.
“Only if I don’t fix it.” Bandit said. Twilight lit up her horn, but Bandit stopped her. She looked at him curiously. Bandit’s ears were twitching and he was looking up.
“What’s wro-” Bandit pulled Twilight close and brought up a shield as the tunnel was hit hard and started to cave in, burying the two underneath the rubble.
In the air was a white hippogriff with a blue eye, a fading white eye and steampunk styled mechanical wings. He was also sparking with electricity as he flew in the air.
