Apple Bloom sat down in the clubhouse, the other cutie mark crusaders by her side. Celestia's sun was lowering in the horizon, sending waves of red, orange and yellow through the sky. A few stars were beginning to twinkle in the soup of color.
“What are we gonna do now?” Apple Bloom asked. Sweetie Belle shrugged while Scootaloo looked at the planning board which was now blank.
"Well, it is getting late. Maybe we should all head home." Sweetie Belle said.
Apple Bloom shrugged as she got up and went over to the window.
Apple Bloom gazed out into the night sky, her mind wondering. She looked over at Ponyville, which was beginning to go to bed.
Apple Bloom remembered seeing Ponyville literally flipped upside down when Discord was freed, and how the Changelings nearly took over Canterlot. All that time, her sister always made sure that she was as far away from those situations as possible.
"Ah wish my sister wouldn't treat me like a little filly and more like a sister." Apple Bloom said under her breath.
Right after those words left her mouth, she spotted something shooting through the night sky. Apple Bloom looked up at the object, realizing that it was a shooting star.
She watched the star blink out of view, before turning to leave the window. A flash of white light however, quickly brought back her attention. She looked out the window again to see a white circle surrounded by white fire hovering in the air.
The other crusaders rushed over to the window and looked in awe at the circle.
"Ah guess ah know what we're doin'." Apple Bloom said.
Apple Bloom, Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle all stared at the circle for a few more minutes, before Scootaloo grabbed a nearby stick and threw it at the circle. The brown wood quickly vanished in an instant.
"What is that thing?" Scootaloo asked. The others just shrugged.
Before they could do anything else, the circle flashed brightly, before a silver ball fell from it. The metal ball landed right in front of the group, slightly steaming. The white circle quickly vanished after that, leaving no trace behind except for the metal ball.
“I’ll go check it out.” Apple Bloom announced and slowly walked over to the metal ball. She tapped it with her hoof, making an echoing sound from inside. Suddenly, it opened, letting a green light escape from it. Apple Bloom looked into the metal ball and saw some sort of watch.
“What in Equestria is that?” Apple Bloom wondered, then reached a hoof to grab it.
Suddenly, the watch jumped from the ball and onto Apple Bloom’s hoof.
“AH! GET IT OFF! GET IT OFF!!” Apple Bloom shouted and tried to pull the watch off.
Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo immediately rushed over to there friend and looked at the new device on her hoof.
“What is that thing?” Scootaloo asked.
“I have no idea, but it won’t come off!” Apple Bloom stated. She began banging on the watch. Then, she noticed something on the watch. A short passage on the side of it. Omnitrix prototype 01
“Strange.”Apple Bloom muttered. “What’s an ‘Omnitrix’?” Scootaloo asked. Apple Bloom shrugged but quickly returned to pulling on the Omnitrix again. “Don’t know, but I want it off.” Apple Bloom emphasized as she hit the watch from the top.
“Let me try.” Sweetie Belle said and ignited her horn. A dark green aura that matched the color of Sweetie Belle's eyes wrapped around the watch and began to tug at it. Her magic triggered a button on the side which caused the top symbol on it to pop up. Scootaloo looked at it.
“Woah, look at all those shadowy creatures.” Scootaloo said in awe. Then, pressed it down. Suddenly, a green flash filled the area, causing Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo to shield their eyes.
Once the green flash faded, The two opened their eyes again and gasped at the sight.
Apple Bloom was no longer a little filly. Her body transformed into a rocky molten homosapien. Fire bursted from her head and lava seeped through the rocks. Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle backed up far.
“Sweet Celestia! What happened?” Apple Bloom asked, looking at herself. The omnitrix symbol was on the molten chest of Apple Bloom. “Awesome.” Scootaloo muttered. Apple Bloom shrugged, which caused a ball of fire to shoot from her hand into the sky, which fried a few clouds above it.
“Woah.” Apple Bloom said, looking at the burned clouds above.
It took 10 minutes before Apple Bloom turned back to normal. And when that happened, Applejack had arrived.
“What in tarnation has been happening out here?” Applejack asked, looking at the fillies. The three crusaders looked at each other. Applejack then looked at her sister. “And what are you wearing Apple Bloom?”
Apple Bloom looked at her hoof again. “It’s a watch that we made in are clubhouse.” Apple Bloom lied. Applejack raised an eyebrow but didn’t persist.
Applejack and Apple Bloom went home, leaving the rest of the fillies to head home also.
Apple Bloom sat on her bed, looking at the Omnitrix. “What even are you?” Apple Bloom questioned.
Slowly, she pressed down on the green button that Scootaloo had hit earlier. The top of the watch popped up again. Slowly, Apple Bloom turned the dial which turned the shadow above the symbol.
There were ten different shadows that indicated different aliens that the watch held. Apple Bloom didn’t dare hit the switch that transformed her and pressed the green button again. The switch fell down again. Apple Bloom then flopped onto her bed and looked at the ceiling.
“What am I gonna do with this thing?” Apple Bloom said out loud, looking at the watch. Curiosity began to crawl into Apple Bloom's mind. What other creatures were in the Omnitrix.
Slowly, Apple Bloom pressed the button down again and looked at the glowing shadows. Turning the dial, she found a creature that looked like the one she already turned into. Then, she flipped to the next. The image was of some sort of pointy creature that had black spheres on its feet that appeared to be like scates.
“I guess one more time wouldn't hurt.” Apple Bloom then pressed down on the button.
Apple Bloom looked down as the Omnitrix faded from her hoof and a green glow spread across her fur. Her fur changed from its light yellow to blue and black. Her back hooves turned into legs and claws which were grabbing onto black spheres. Her bow turned into a black helmet which locked onto Apple Bloom's face. The green glow faded, revealing what the Omnitrix had done.
“Alright, now let’s see what this guy can do.” Apple Bloom stated, and began to head to the door, and ended up face first into the door.
“Ouch…” Apple Bloom muttered, pulling herself off of the wooden door. “Well I guess this guy is fast then.” Apple Bloom told herself, trying to focus on one thing instead of 5.
Apple Bloom opened the door and went into the hall. Shutting the door and turning to the hallway, she took off. She was out the house door and into the dark night within seconds. She took a tight turn and went towards the direction of ponyville.
“THIS IS AMAZING!!!” Apple Bloom shouted, rushing past a few houses. “WAHOO!!!” She shouted as she jumped over a few boxes and stones. No wonder Rainbow Dash always wanted to go so fast, she was having a blast!
Apple Bloom ran down a street which lead to the fields that rested beyond the town. She zoomed down the grassy plains and ended up in the Everfree Forest.
Apple Bloom stopped as she noticed where she was. A loud howl emerged from behind her, causing her to zoom away in a random direction.
{I should have looked where I was goin’} Apple Bloom told herself in her mind as she shot through the forest. Apple Bloom eventually ended up next to a swamp which had bubbles emerging in the water. Apple Bloom stopped and looked at herself.
“This thing could even make Rainbow Dash run for ‘er money! It accelerates on a dime’s notice. I’ll call this guy Xlr8!” Apple Bloom declared. But before she could take off, a loud splashing noise caught her attention.
Xlr8 turned around and looked at the bubbling swamp water which was pushed aside as a creature emerged from the swamp. It looked like a crocodile but had stone all over it.
Fear gripped Xlr8’s mind as the creature growled and advanced towards her. “Um, I think it’s the time for me to make like an apple and buck off!” Xlr8 shouted, taking off towards the underbrush. However, a loud beeping noise filled her ears and a massive flash of red filled her vision. The next thing she knew, she was back to being Apple Bloom and tumbled across the grass.
Apple Bloom scrambled to her hooves and looked back and forth from the crockagator and the now red Omnitrix.
“Uh, you don't suppose y’all could go back into the swamp and preten’ this never happn’d?” Apple Bloom asked, backing away. The rock reptile smirked, showing sharp teeth ready to be used.
Apple Bloom gulped and closed her eyes, waiting for the creature to lunge on her. However, another sound filled her ears. Apple Bloom looked down at the Omnitrix which glowed green. A wave of hope flew through Apple Bloom’s mind as she looked at the watch. She quickly pressed a button which brought up the dial. Apple Bloom didn’t even look at which alien was selected and slammed her hoof down on it.
The Omnitrix flashed bright green as it spread across Applebloom’s body. The green glow seeped into Apple Bloom, causing cells to be rearranged. Apple Bloom’s yellow fur vanished and was replaced with bright red skin. Her back hooves turned into feet while her front hooves split into four separate arms and hands. Apple Bloom now wore a shirt which was the same color as her bow with a yellow stripe down the middle, along with pitch black pants. The Omnitrix symbol appeared on her left shoulder shirt sleeve.
The green glow faded, letting Apple Bloom look around. “Wow, now this alien seems to pack a punch! With four...arms right?” Apple Bloom tried to remember what arms were again but was cut off as the crockagator leaped onto her.
“Hey! Now that’s not very nice to cut somepony off!” Apple Bloom shouted and shoved the creature off of her. However, with the combined power of four arms shoving against the Crockagator, caused it to fly backwards into a tree. Apple Bloom got up and looked at her new arms.
“Now that is the power of Four Arms!” Four Arms declared. This victory however was short lived as the Crockagator got up from where it landed and growled at her.
“Oh ho, you want to go for round 2 huh?” Four Arms said, cracking her knuckles.
The Crockagator growled again and lunged at Four Arms, who quickly dodged and slammed its head into the ground.
“Sorry, but I believe it’s time for me to depart.” Four Arms claimed, swinging the Crockagator one last time and chucked it into the forest.
Four Arms smiled at her victory and looked around the forest. She scratched her head. “So which way is home?”
Applejack knocked a few times on the cyan colored wooden door that led to Apple Bloom’s room. When nopony answered, she sighed and opened it herself.
“Apple Bloom, wake up! Y’all gonna be late for school!” Applejack said, looking at the bed in the room which covers were immediately thrown off as the young filly quickly snapped awake.
“Sorry sis!” Apple Bloom apologize, mid gallop past her older sister and out the room towards the stairs. Applejack smirked in amusement, before leaving the room herself and shutting the door, not noticing the open window and the dirty tracks leading over to the bed.
Apple Bloom put her pencil down on the desk and looked at what she had just written down. It had been a few notes on the math problems that Miss Cheerilee had written down on the chalkboard. However, her gaze kept focusing on the device resting on her left front hoof.
The Omnitrix glowed a faint green as it shined in Celestia’s sunlight from the window. Apple Bloom stared at the watch for a while before hearing the bell ring, signaling recess time. Apple Bloom got up from her desk and went over to Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo, before taking off out to the playground.
Once they were outside, the three fillies quickly grouped up next to the white fence that led to the path leading to the school. Apple Bloom then began talking about her little adventure with the Omnitrix.
“So the Omnitrix has more aliens in it?” Scootaloo asked. This was followed by a nod from Apple Bloom.
“Do you think you could show us?” Sweetie Belle questioned.
“No, to many ponies would see and I don’t want to be known as the farm pony with the monster watch.” Apple Bloom replied.
Before the other two could comment, a loud BANG was heard from town square, causing everypony to look in its direction.
It wasn’t really surprising that a monster was attacking the town again and the mane six were dealing with it, but this time, Apple Bloom had an idea.
Apple Bloom poked the Omnitrix, letting the dial shoot up. Apple Bloom then selected the shadowy form of the alien that she now called Heatblast.
The other two crusaders saw her meddling with the watch, there eyes widening.
“Are you gonna do what I think your gonna do?” Scootaloo said, a grin spreading across her face.
Apple Bloom answered that with a burst of green light as her hoof met the dial of the Omnitrix.
Apple Bloom’s fur was covered head to hoof in molten rock as fire began to brew. Apple Bloom stood up, letting her back hooves form into feet and legs. Her mane was in wrapped in fire and the Omnitrix symbol popped up in the middle of her chest.
Heatblast looked down at her two friends, who were somewhat grinning and worried.
“Don’t worry, i’ll just make sure the battle doesn’t heat up to badly.” Heatblast joked, before taking off towards Town Square.
Applejack ducked as a massive piece of wood was ripped from Town Square and hurtled towards her. A massive creature crawled across the walls of the building, breaking more of it to throw at the group. “Ya know! I thought that we had taken care of Manticores!” Applejack shouted to Twilight Sparkle, who was launching spells at the beast.
“Your telling me! Fluttershy just had to pick today to go drop off some animals at the swamp.” The lavender unicorn grunted, keeping the spells going.
Rainbow Dash did a loop around the Manticore and tried to smack the back of its head with her hooves, but was greeted with a paw which sent her flying down into Town Square. The mane six, excluding Fluttershy immediately stopped fighting and rushed over to check on the speedy pegasus.
Rainbow Dash had been slammed through the overhang around the roof along the base of the building and had crashed into the wooden deck badly. Applejack quickly pulled Rainbow Dash out of the recharge and check on her friend.
“She’s alright, just unconscious and seems to have a few bruises on her wings.” Applejack listed. Twilight nodded and quickly turned around to face the manticore, only to see that it had landed right in front of them and was charging.
Twilight’s eyes widened and she quickly activated a shield spell, however, something shoved against the manticore, sending it and the beast to the ground.
“Sorry! But your in for a time out!” Heatblast declared, getting up from where she had crashed and looked at the manticore, who also got up. The manticore scraped one paw into the dirt, getting ready to charge. Heatblast raised her hands, which were ignited with a roaring fire.
“You really think your the hot shot here? Well, come over and let’s figure out.” Heatblast declared, waving a beckoning hand.
The Manticore charged at Heatblast, ready to swipe. But Heatblast simply dodged and fired a blast of fire which struck the Manticore on the side. The Manticore turned around and jumped into the air, landing on Heatblast.
Heatblast quickly kicked up against the manticore who shot into the air. This was followed by Heatblast shooting up into the air and blasted a massive wave of fire which shot the Manticore all the way back to the Everfree Forest.
Heatblast landed and dusted herself off, before turning to see where Twilight’s barrier was. The mane six stared at her, awestruck at what they just saw. Applejack quickly snapped out of her wonder and slowly advanced towards the flaming alien.
“Thank ya for the help, but if ya don’t mind, who are ya?” Applejack asked. Heatblast tried not to grin at seeing her sister not even recognise her.
“The name’s Heatblast, I just was passin by when I spotted ya and your friend’s bein attacked so I did the first thin my mind went ta.” Heatblast exclaimed.
Applejack was about to say something else but was interrupted by the beeping from the Omnitrix symbol which was flashing red.
“Sorry, i’d love to stay and chat but i’ve gotta run!” Heatblast quickly said, before taking off in a ball of fire into the sky.
Applejack put a hoof to her chin, brow furrowing. “Why did that thing have a southern accent that sounded, familiar?” Applejack wondered. This thought however was put to the back of her mind as Rainbow Dash groaned in pain as she stirred from her knockout.
Heatblast landed next to the Cutie Mark Crusader clubhouse and sat down, before being engulfed by a red flash of light and turned back to Apple Bloom. Apple Bloom looked at the now red Omnitrix and smiled.
“Maybe I could be a hero to…” Apple Bloom wondered out loud, looking at the device.
Apple Bloom’s thoughts were cut off as the sound of her friends calling out to her filled her ears. Apple Bloom got up and was suddenly tackled to the ground by Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle.
“THAT WAS AWESOME!” Scootaloo shouted. “Definitely!” Sweetie Belle added.
“Now come on girls, it wasn’t that awesome.” Apple Bloom tried to assure, but was cut off as Scootaloo shook her head.
“No, you taught that Manticore who’s boss! You were a true hero there!” Scootaloo said. Apple Bloom smiled and looked at her two friends.
“Well, I guess when ya put it like that.” Apple Bloom muttered, taking a glance at the Omnitrix. Apple Bloom smiled at the thought of her being a hero, just like her older sister.
