What Goes Up, Must Come Down
Twilight picked up a small book an inspected it. She read the cover aloud to herself, the book was titled Banned Magic: A Guide to Getting Yourself Killed by Stupidity. She had just received it in the mail with an anonymous letter reading “You are the worst”. She planned to throw the book into the trash, thanks to Spike’s suggestion. However, she found herself tempted. Curious to read this book of “banned” magic. She read through the first couple of pages and laughed. These spells were nothing but useless and fake dangerous pranks. She was about to close the book when her eyes landed upon one of the spell names.

What an odd name. It intrigued her. She read through the spell and decided to test it out on a random, lifeless rock. The rock vanished and then reappeared on the ceiling, after a few moments it fell to the floor. The shiny castle floor now had a huge crack in it. Twilight gasped and threw a rug onto the crack; while it did appear out of place, it covered the flaw up nicely. Twilight sighed with relief and decided to practice the spell outside.
This is where she made her mistake.
Twilight stepped outdoors and sniffed the fresh air. She paused, her eyes watered and her nose scrunched up in horror. She looked and saw that somepony had left a cart of cow manure a little too close to her castle. She glared and stepped away from it, though not nearly enough. She then practiced the spell. On herself.
Twilight opened her eyes and found herself in the sky. Looking up, she saw only more sky. Down was a whole ‘other scene; she saw her castle, and all over Ponyville, plus Sweet Apple Acres and she could just barely make out Fluttershy’s Cottage. She tried to open her wings to fly herself down, but she suddenly began to fall at an alarming speed. Her wings refused to open, and she screamed loudly. No one would hear the screaming, however, not until she hit around 500ft. At the rate she was going, she wouldn’t have to wait too long for that.
“Maybe this will be ok.” She thought to herself, “Maybe Rainbow Dash or somepony will be flying around and see me! Or maybe I can teleport away.”
This new idea felt obvious, she shook her head at her own stupidity. She obviously could just teleport back to the ground and be safe! She closed her eyes, held her breath and began the teleportation spell. The anxiety of falling limited her powers, and caused her to only teleport a small number of feet down, though this slowed her enough for her to be able to fly. She was unaware of this fact, and proceeded to panic more; she screamed even louder.
She saw her life flash before her eyes: the day she started school, the day she got Spike, the day she made her Canterlot friends, and even the day she moved to Ponyville. She saw all the adventures she had and all the stupid things she’d done. She saw all of her regrets and all of her triumphs. Her proudest and her weakest moments. None of these would matter now, she would be dead in a matter of seconds, moments, whatever. She wasn’t sure; she didn’t want to know the math behind it. Twilight calmed down, and waited; she waited for the drop.
She waited some more.
And more.
Nothing.
She looked down, she was still falling; had she been wrong about her possible altitude? Maybe. She didn’t know, and she didn’t care now. Her only hope was to be remembered by her friends and family for all the good things she had done. Which was, considerably a lot for the main character. She closed her eyes and tried to think of anything to distract herself. She tried to think, but nothing worked. She didn’t care anymore; in a few moments, she would be dead. She would be a Twilight pancake or even a flapjack. Crêpes? She began contemplating the different types of pancakes in the world. Flapjacks, hotcakes, pancakes, crêpes, blini, dutch baby, potato pancake, injera, dosa, bing, joen, okonomiyaki, Bánh xèo- so many amazing types of pancakes, and she had only eaten 3 of them. Surely, this was the worst bucket list item to leave unchecked. Perhaps, in another life, she would indulge herself in all of the pancakes the world had to offer.
Was reincarnation possible though? Sure, some ponies believed it to be false while others were sure it was true but was it really? She thought about this for a while, contemplating how it would work. Would it be instant, or would her soul linger for a while? If it waited, where would it go? What time would she be born into? Would her gender and other attributes change, or would those all be mostly the same? What would it be like to be a stallion, would she have fun? What if she were born a Pegasus, would she be a better flyer? On another note, what had she been in a past life? A doctor, a scientist? Maybe even some ruler of a far away and distant land?
What if she had been a dragon or a griffon? Would she even still be a pony in her next life? So many thoughts, she was finally distracted. She had nearly forgotten about her impending demise when suddenly, in a flash of randomness, she looked down for a split second. Twilight saw the ground coming closer and she began screaming again and begging to reincarnate into something amazing and smart. As the ground came closer, the sounds of her screams carried further. Ponies were now looking up in horror as the princess of friendship plummeted into the manure cart.
Twilight stuck her head out of the bullshit and back into the real world. She gasped at the smell and covered her nose, only to make matters much worse. She screamed and jumped out of the cart. Ponies came to her to see if she were alright. Twilight laid on the ground now, depressed, sick and smelling awful. She slowly regained herself and stood up. She wobbled a bit but was relatively ok. She ignored the questions from the mass of background ponies and made her way into the castle to take a bath. Before shutting the door, she uttered a final sentence.
“I hate manure.”

I'm sure there is a butt-load of better stories about Twilight falling out of the sky. I've read some but I've forgotten pretty much all of them.
Also Grammarly says there are 14 mistakes, but they're premium mistakes so I can't have them edited without me digging through the story.
I refuse to pay in order to be a good content creator. I'm sorry.
