Everything was fine in Canterlot High until teens started going missing all over the state, and now everyone is freaking out thinking they are next. It does not help when Rainbow Dash comes in blaring about the fact that a serial killer might be on the loose, scaring everyone even more! She then shows her friends and Pinkie Pie a picture of a girl at the crime scene where the last teen had gone missing, without a trace.

Pinkie waves this off, thinking it must be a joke of some sort since all the teens have bad reputations, but when the exact same girl in the photo shows up at the school things start getting really weird. The girl in the photo happens to be a teen named Zala, who can for some reason touch things that have been cooking in an oven without even flinching. This girl also seems to be very teasing, curious, and not the serial killer type which confuses Pinkie greatly... she's hiding something, and Pinkie unknowingly throws herself into a world that for her whole life she thought was a myth. Perhaps some legends were never tall tales...
