Chapters Author's Note
If this seems disjointed, it's because I created the individual scenes apart from each other with ideas I had and then glued them together with the story to make them fit. I think I sanded out all the rough edges, though I won't be writing a story like this again. I hope this is enjoyable enough for Kyra fans.
1 Year Later...
Kyra took a step towards Derpy.
"You think you can beat me?" Kyra yelled.
Derpy walked towards Kyra.
"No." said Derpy, stopping in front of Kyra. "I know I can."
"Really?" asked Kyra, laughing a bit. "And you think you can, why?"
"Because I have something worth fighting for."
Kyra let out a roar, extending her mouth once again. Derpy took a step back in fear but managed to stand her ground. Kyra closed her mouth. She took a step back. For the first time, Derpy saw a bit of fear in Kyra.
"What's going on?" she asked. "Why aren't you frozen with fear?"
"Not sure, Kyra." said Derpy. "I guess I'm just not scared of you anymore."
A angry frown spread across Kyra's face. A soft growl escaped her lips and she reverted back to her normal evil self.
"Then, I guess," Kyra began calmly. "there's nothing left to do, but..."
Kyra lowered her head a bit and appeared sad. Then, in the blink of an eye, swung her hoof, knocking Derpy across the face. She flew backwards and smacked into the cave wall. Kyra approached Derpy as she fell to the floor.
"You have no idea what you're in for, girl." said Kyra, levitating Derpy and holding her against the wall. "You are about to receive more pain than any pony has ever felt."
Derpy's leg started to twist and pull.
"Hey, Kyra!" yelled a voice.
Kyra let go of Derpy's leg and whipped around. Her gaze quickly fell upon Twilight's crown. Her friends were wearing necklaces. She then quickly glanced at the open box near Celestia's hooves.
"No." Kyra said softly.
"It's over for you Kyra." said Twilight.
"NO!" yelled Kyra. "I WON'T GIVE UP!" A burst of dark energy erupted from Kyra. "I WON'T!"
Kyra's blast sent cracks shooting up the sides of the cave, also knocking Derpy to the ground.
"Ready, girls?" asked Twilight.
"Ready." her friends responded.
Their Elements started to glow, shooting a rainbow up into the air.
"NO!" yelled Kyra.
The rainbow swirled around her as she let out a scream. The cave filled with a bright light which soon faded away, leaving Kyra lying on the floor of the cave. There was a cracking sound as bits of rock fell from the ceiling. Kyra opened her eyes and slowly stood up.
"What..." Kyra said, slowly getting back up. "What happened?" She gaze around the cave and spotted Twilight. "YOU!" she yelled. She made an attempt to launch out dark energy but nothing happened. "What?" she asked. Her skin changed to bright red and her mane became blue. Her cutie mark became a heart. "My powers..."
Twilight looked up as the ceiling began to crack. More rock bits rained down.
"YOU TOOK MY POWERS!" Kyra yelled.
She took off towards Twilight, who launched a bolt. It struck Kyra, sending her flying backwards and hitting the wall. She fell to her knees.
"We have to go!" yelled Twilight. "This place is falling apart!"
She and the others ran to the mouth of the cave.
"WHERE ARE YOU GOING!" yelled Kyra. "COME BACK!" A tear fell from her eye. "Come back." she said, crying.
She heard a cracking sound above and looked up. A large chunk fell from the ceiling above her. Kyra closed her eyes and everything went black.
1 YEAR LATER...
Fluttershy was feeding her birds when Derpy came by with the mail. The pegasus looked over and smiled with a wave. "Hello, Derpy."
The gray pegasus stopped at the mailbox and looked over at her, smiling back. "Hiya, Fluttershy. Shall I leave your mail in here or would you like it?"
"In the box is fine," Fluttershy cooed. "I'll get it when I'm done feeding the birds."
Derpy opened the box and slid the mail in before closing it. She hesitated before turning to the yellow pegasus. "Do you... remember that mare a year ago?"
Fluttershy stopped throwing the bird seed and froze up. She then looked through her mane at the mail mare. "How could I forget?"
"I, uh... still have nightmares," Derpy said as she rubbed her left foreleg. "I know she's gone, but... I still check every corner of my house before I sleep."
Fluttershy got up and turned to face the gray mare. "I do, too. But, she's gone, Derpy. The Elements got rid of her, remember?"
Derpy nodded. "I know. And the mountain fell on her. But, I can't shake the feeling she's still around."
The yellow mare smiled lightly. "Give it time. I'm sure we'll all be able to sleep soundly soon enough."
"Yeah," Derpy agreed with a forced smile. "Well, I should get going. Mail to deliver," she said, before walking away.
Fluttershy watched her leave before going back to her birds.
The rubble of Dragon Mountain began to shift a little as a skeletal hoof burst through it. There was eerie hissing as the skeleton pony crawled out of the debris. As it crawled away, blood and muscle began to grow around it as it started to leave a blood trail like a snail. As its teeth grew back, skin and red fur began to form around the muscle, reforming the pony whole again. Kyra let out a loud yell and collapsed to the ground, panting heavily. Every joint hurt like hell and she could barely find the strength to get up. As she breathed, each sharp exhale caused the dirt to blow away from her face. Her faded red eyes looked around as if she was unsure where she was.
"What... the fuck?" She asked herself, even feeling the heat of the sun on her body. She felt uncomfortably normal. Like all her power was gone.
She started to get feeling back in her legs and she slowly and cautiously stumbled to her hooves. Getting up, she took a step and felt her left front leg give out. Letting up a yelp, she hit the ground hard with a groan. Pushing herself back up, she wiggled her left foreleg until she felt the feeling come back. Setting it back down, she put pressure on it to test it. Feeling it hold, she began to limp away from where the mountain used to be.
Derpy made her way down the path towards Dragon Mountain. Arriving at the site of their last battle with Kyra, Derpy looked up at the collapsed cave. A bunch of the rocks had tumbled down to the base of the mountain. The gray pegasus trotted over to the rubble and let out a gasp. Near the rocks were hoofprints. She then frantically began to dig through the rubble, not finding a body. She took a step back and looked around.
"Oh, no," she gasped, turning around and taking off back down the path.
She didn't get very far before she heard a grunt and a thud. Taking cover behind a tree, she held her breath before peeking out. She saw the red demon getting up from the ground and brushing dirt off her legs. Kyra then started to limp away back towards town. Derpy went wide-eyed and ducked down as she quietly shuffled away. Once a good ways away, she flapped her wings and lifted herself off the ground before flying back to town.
Back at Ponyville, Derpy quickly flew over to the library and opened the door. “Twilight?!”
The purple unicorn came trotting down the stairs with a look of worry on her face. “Derpy?” She asked. “What’s wrong?”
“It’s Kyra!” Derpy gasped, lunging forward to get in the mare’s face. “She’s back. I saw her. I don’t think she saw me but I saw her.”
“Kyra?” Asked Twilight. “The Elements got rid of her. Then, the top of the mountain caved in with her inside.”
Derpy quickly shook her head and trotted in place. “Noooooo,” she whined. “When I saw her, she was limping. I think you only hurt her.”
Twilight hesitated before thinking about Zecora. “Alright… If you saw what you say you saw, then we need to be ready. I’ll send word to Celestia and Luna and we’ll get the Elements ready.”
Derpy nodded with a smile. “Thank you, Twilight.”
The unicorn smiled back and patted the pegasus’ side. “Be careful. She may be weak but I’m betting she’s still dangerous.”
Derpy nodded and turned to leave. “Please, hurry. I don’t wanna be looking over my shoulder everywhere I go.”
Twilight let out a nervous chuckle. “Neither do I."
Rainbow Dash left the spa feeling refreshed as she let out a sigh of happiness. “Rainbow Dash!” Someone yelled, making her jump back in shock. She then saw Twilight run up to her.
“I thought I’d find you here,” Twilight said as she looked around for something.
“Wh-What, why would you…” Rainbow started, before getting cut off.
“Kyra may be back,” Twilight said quickly as she leaned in.
Rainbow went wide-eyed. “Kyra? That demon we defeated a year ago?”
The purple unicorn nodded. “Derpy saw her leaving Dragon Mountain earlier."
The pegasus let out a deep sigh. "What do we do? Confront her?"
Twilight shook her head. "Not without the Elements. If we see her, ignore her. If we see her and she sees us, back away. We can't risk setting her off. Not until we're ready."
The cyan mare nodded. "I just hope she doesn't attack on sight."
The unicorn smiled nervously. "That's what I'm worried about. Just spread the word to the others, and keep an eye out. She could be anywhere."
"Got it," Rainbow said, before shooting off into the sky,
Twilight watched her go before turning to head back to her library.
Kyra fell against the side of a building, staring into an alley. As she panted, she saw a stallion pinning a pale magenta mare down. Her red eyes fell on the stallion. She began to water at the mouth as she stumbled down the alley. As she got closer, she could hear the mare whimpering as the stallion's rod was in plain view. It was then he noticed the red mare approaching.
"You come to join, hot stuff?" He asked, the mare looking over at her.
"Help me!" She begged, tears in her eyes.
Kyra tilted her head as she stepped up to them. She then squatted down with her head directly above the mare's, before opening her mouth wide and sticking out her tongue. The stallion smirked and stepped forward, his rod sliding into the red mare's mouth. The stallion sighed happily and buried his pole all the way in Kyra's mouth. When the red mare felt the stallion's nuts hit her chin, her eyes flashed red as she clamped her teeth down.
The stallion screamed in pain as blood sprayed from Kyra's mouth. The magenta mare on the ground started crying as blood splattered her face and chest. When the stallion ripped himself away from his attacker, he was without a penis. Kyra sighed happily and chewed what was in her mouth, before swallowing. She then hung her head to look at the frightened mare beneath her.
"You may go," she said darkly as shadows crept into the alley. "I have my meal."
The mare whimpered and scurried away. When she got to the edge of the alley, she turned around to face the demon. "Th-Thank you," she stammered, before running away.
Kyra returned her attention to the stallion, her eyes glowing bright red. As the shadows snuffed out the light, the stallion's screams filled the alley before there was a loud burst of blood splattering the area.
The next morning, Kyra let out a yawn and got up from the patch of grass she was sleeping on. Leaving the alley, she saw a group gathered around the spot where she killed the rapist the night before.
She trotted on over and gently pushed her way through the crowd to get to the front where she saw the pale magenta mare from last night talking to the mayor.
"I swear, she must've ate him," the mare explained, before spotting the red mare in the crowd.
"Did you see what she looked like, Daisy?" The mayor asked as a few unicorns were cleaning up the blood.
The mare stared at Kyra for a few seconds before looking at the mayor, shaking her head. "I-It was dark. But, she saved me. H-He was going to..."
The mayor let out a silent gasp and patted her back. "Hey, I'm... sorry," she said. "If you say she saved you, then we either have a hero or vigilante in our midst. We still have to be really careful."
Daisy nodded. "I'm just gonna go home now. If you're done with me."
The mayor nodded. "Of course. Thank you for your time."
The mare gave a light smile before walking towards Kyra. As she past her, they locked eyes as the mare looked rather worried. Kyra smiled lightly before turning and following. As Daisy made her way through Ponyville, heading for her house, she felt someone following her. Having a feeling who it was, she decided to face her and turned to head down a small alley between Sugarcube Corner and the building next door. Stopping inside, she waited before turning around. Standing before her was the red mare.
"So, what now?" Daisy asked. "Are you going to eat me now?"
Kyra smiled and trotted up to her. "No. You see, something's happened to me recently. I feel... too normal. I feel normal feelings and normal emotions. And, for some reason, ever since this change I've been feeling really horny. Like I'm unable to control myself."
"Wh-What?" Daisy gasped, taking a step back.
The red mare rolled her head as she cracked her neck a few times. "Hmm... I thought I was being clear, but I suppose I need to be less vague. I'll let you live if you become my pet."
Daisy went wide-eyed and backed up. "Y-You saved me from being raped. Now, you wanna..."
"I'd say you owe me for that," Kyra said as the mare backed into her.
Daisy whipped around with a gasp before falling on her flanks. "What? How?"
"I still have the basic of my abilities, it would seem," Kyra cooed, walking over to the mare and leaning in so their noses pressed together. "Which might mean..." Her eyes flashed before she let out a happy sigh. "Yes... It seems I still have the ability to summon my cock."
The magenta mare leaned to the side to see the red mare's crotch, her pupils dilating. "Wh... You can't be serious."
Kyra smiled widely and gently held the mare's head, making her look her in the eyes. "Service me. Make me feel satisfied, and you get to live. I'll even protect you, in return."
"Protect me?" Daisy asked, confused. "F-From what?"
"Anything, my sweet," the demon cooed, leaning in so their muzzles touched. "A falling tree, a runaway carriage, a bolt of lightning, a poisonous flower... A rapist... Anything. So long as they're afraid, I can do anything to them I want."
Daisy stared the mare in the eyes before her eyes went down to eye the red rod. Without saying a word, she laid on her stomach and started working. Kyra moaned and closed her eyes, rubbing the back of the flower pony's head.
"Good girl," Kyra cooed. "Good girl."
Twilight entered Sugarcube Corner and trotted up to the counter. “Hey, Pinkie?”
The pink mare stuck her head out from the kitchen before skipping up to the counter. “Heya, Twilight. Are you here about what Dash said?”
The unicorn nodded. “Have you seen anything?”
Pinkie shook her head. “Nope. Nothing demon related.”
“Good,” Twilight sighed. “What about you? Are you still… okay?”
The earth pony giggled. “You always ask me that. And, the answer’s always the same.”
“I know,” the unicorn replied. “But, you weren’t yourself. She did something to you. I’m just hoping there wasn’t any lasting side effects.”
“Look, Twilight,” Pinkie began, her tone becoming softer and more serious. “We all have a dark side. We all have pet peeves and our friends always find ways to irritate us, but we love them and forgive them. Kyra just… kept me from being able to do that, somehow.”
“She’s a demon,” Twilight pointed out. “And, if you’re ever bothered by something, let us know. We’re here for you, Pinkie. You don’t have to feel like that.”
Pinkie smiled lightly. “Thanks, Twilight.”
Kyra thrusted into Daisy one last time as the pale magenta mare buried her face in the ground to stifle a loud gasp. When Kyra finished, she pulled out and sat down, watching her demon semen leak out of the mare. "That was great. You sure do have sexy moans."
Daisy shuddered and her hind legs gave way as she collapsed to the ground. "I can't move."
"You're exhausted," Kyra pointed out, before climbing atop the mare and leaning in to whisper in her ear. "Sex with a demon does that," she cooed, before gently nibbling on the mare's ear.
Daisy moaned out a gasp. "A d-d-demon?"
Kyra nodded and gave the ear a lick. "Now, walk me home. I could use a nice, soft bed with a nice, soft mare."
Daisy whimpered but nodded. "O-Okay."
Twilight left Sugarcube Corner and was met by Mayor Mare. “Hey, there, Mayor.”
“Twilight, have you heard?” The mare asked. “There’s been a murder on the other side of town.”
“What?” Twilight Asked, going wide-eyed.
“You and your friends have fought some beasts in the past,” Mayor went on. “Have you any idea what’s going on?”
Twilight looked around, making sure no one was around, before she leaned in. “A year ago, we fought a demon. The one that killed Zecora. We thought we killed her, but she could be back.”
“A demon?” Mayor asked in a frantic whisper.
“Shhh,” Twilight urged. “We don’t wanna cause a panic. This could also just be a simple murderer.”
“Not sure that’s much better,” the mayor muttered. “But, I don’t think it’s a demon.”
“Why not?” Twilight asked with a tilt of her head.
“She saved Daisy from an attacker. She sounds like a hero. A hero who… could’ve eaten the body.”
“We’ll be on the lookout,” Twilight said. “I’ll let you know if we find anything. But, for now, keep the demon thing to yourself?”
The Mayor nodded. “Still… A demon killed Zecora.”
“We would’ve said something sooner, but…” Twilight began, but sighed. “Well, we thought we killed her and that no one would believe us.”
“I understand,” Mayor said with a warm smile. “I probably wouldn’t have believed you if I hadn’t seen the mess.”
Twilight patted her shoulder. “I’ll go inform the others.”
Mayor cleared her throat and nodded. “Right. And, I have my mayoral duties to attend to,” she said as she started trotting away.
Twilight sighed and rushed back inside Sugarcube Corner. “Pinkie, we have a problem!”
Daisy opened her front door as Kyra entered in behind her. She stood in the living room and looked around. To the right was a large window behind a couch, set across from a fireplace. There was a hall to the left and the kitchen seemed to be next door.
"Not bad," Kyra said as she stepped into the hall and headed down. On her left was the bedroom and on the right was the bathroom.
She made her way into the bedroom with Daisy following close behind. The demon then climbed onto the bed and rolled onto her back with a deep sigh.
“Oh, that feels nice,” Kyra sighed. “So much better than sleeping under a pile of rocks.” The room was unsettlingly quiet. Kyra lifted her head to see the mare standing by the doorway. Smiling, she rolled over onto her belly. “You know what would look fantastic on a cute mare like you?” Daisy stared at her before shrugging. “Socks.”
“S-Socks?” Daisy asked, confused.
Kyra nodded. “Yeah, maybe, uh… silver and black striped socks.”
“Silver and black?” Daisy asked.
The demon sighed as she rested her head. “I’ve always liked that color combo.”
Daisy took a step forward. “What about red and gold?”
Kyra tilted her head with a smile. “What gave you that idea?”
"Well..." Daisy began. "you're red and... your eyes are golden-ish. Maybe yellow. So..."
Kyra's eyes flashed red as she giggled eerily. "Mmm... Red and gold socks for my sexy little plaything," she cooed deviously. "I like it." Daisy blushed and averted her eyes. "Tell me. Are you afraid?"
The pale magenta mare hesitated before looking the demon in the eyes. "Yes, but..."
A grin spread across Kyra's face. "But?"
"But safe," Daisy finished.
The demon just smiled before sitting up. "Good. Because, as long as you obey, you are safe. Now, let's head out. You got things to do, I'm sure, and I want to see Ponyville again. It's been so long, after all."
Twilight waited in the library, pacing back and forth. A few minutes passed before the door opened and the others came in.
“Got ‘em all!” Pinkie exclaimed triumphantly.
“Is it true?” AJ asked, taking off her hat. “Kyra’s back?”
The unicorn nodded. “Pretty sure, but no proof yet. The only lead I have is Daisy and that Derpy said she saw Kyra by the mountain.”
Before anyone could say anything else, the door opened and in walked Luna. “Have you seen her?”
“I did,” Derpy said as she took a step towards the alicorn. “She looked hurt. But, I’m the only one who saw her.”
“Maybe not,” Twilight said with a smile.
Luna gave Derpy a smile before looking at the purple mare. “What do you mean?”
“Daisy was saved by, who we’re assuming is, Kyra,” Twilight explained. “If Daisy saw her, Kyra could be using her house as a place to hide.”
“Then, she could be torturing Daisy,” Derpy pointed out. “Like me.”
The room went completely silent. They all knew they couldn’t send help without causing more bloodshed. Kyra may not be active right now, but they couldn’t risk provoking her. Twilight cleared her throat to break the silence.
“I’ll swing by Daisy’s,” the purple unicorn said. “She has a pretty big window in front of her house. I’ll make a pass, take a glance inside, and keep walking. If I notice Kyra, I’ll avoid eye contact and pretend to not see her.”
“That is extremely risky, Twilight,” Luna said worriedly.
Twilight nodded. “I know, but… it’s the only way.”
Daisy joined Roseluck and Lilly at their flower stand, the two mares immediately jumping her with questions.
"What happened?" Asked Roseluck.
"Yeah, who saved you?" Lilly chimed in.
"Relax, you two," Daisy sighed. "Everything's okay. I'm fine. I just... had an interesting morning."
Kyra made her way through Ponyville, keeping an eye out for Twilight and her friends. As she trotted, she saw two ponies by the large fountain at the town’s center. They seemed happy. Kyra tilted her head in confusion before making her way over. When the mint green unicorn spotted her, she smiled lightly.
“Hello,” She greeted.
Kyra stood behind them, her eyes darting back and forth between them. “What are you two doing?”
Both mares looked at each other before looking at the red mare again. "We're on a... date?" The minty one said with a light smile.
"A date," Kyra repeated. She knew what a date was as her sister went on dates with her marefriend quite often. She just never understood love and something was now intriguing her about the subject, despite her not knowing why. "Are you... having fun?"
"Of course," the unicorn giggled. "We always have fun together. And, our dates are never boring."
"I see..." the demon muttered. "So, you're... happy?"
The unicorn's face remained the same as she nodded. "So, what's your name?"
The red mare opened her mouth to say her name before stopping. She knew she couldn't let them know her name or Twilight and the others may find out. "Amber," she replied, before turning and trotting away.
"Oh, well, nice to meet you, Amber," the unicorn called back. "I'm Lyra." When the red mare didn't respond, she just shrugged and went back to her date.
Kyra walked away from the fountain, taking one more look back at Lyra and her date. "Happy."
She then found herself thinking about whether or not she was happy. As she walked, she past by the shops and saw the flower ponies, among them being Daisy. When the pale magenta mare spotted the demon, she smiled lightly and waved. Kyra stopped and slowly raised a hoof. Instead of waving, she just held her hoof up before looking at it, wondering why this all mattered to her now. Never before had she given relationships a thought, be it a loving one or a friendly one.
“Kyra?” Daisy asked loudly, making the demon snap back to reality. “You okay?”
The red mare eyed her and then the ground. “I’m… okay.”
“Just okay?” Daisy asked with a smile. “Wanna wait for me at home and we can… talk about it?”
“Why are you being nice to me?” Kyra asked, avoiding eye contact.
Daisy’s smile slowly faded. “Because, I can see the good in every pony. And, I see good in you, too.”
“But, I…” Kyra started to blurt out. “What about what I did? What that stallion was going to do?”
“True, that some fail to see the good in themselves, like that stallion,” Daisy explained. “But, here you are, having a conversation with me and I haven’t seen a single drop of blood all day.
Kyra wanted to say something but ended up sighing instead. “I’ll see you back home.”
As the demon left, Rose walked up to Daisy. "Who's that?" She asked with a smirk. "Is someone in love?"
"N-No," Daisy weakly protested as she blushed. "We just..."
Roseluck let out a gasp. "Was she the one who saved you?"
Daisy was about to refuse, but sighed. "Saved me, yes. But, not the one that killed the stallion."
"Oh, there were two saviors, huh?" Rose asked.
Daisy sighed. "Can we just drop it. That mare is... cute, I'll give her that. And, maybe... I could give her a chance."
“Oh, Twilight. I plan on killing at least six more.”View Online
“Oh, Twilight. I plan on killing at least six more.”
Twilight stood a few feet from Daisy’s house. Inside was the demonic mare who killed Zecora and almost killed herself and her friends. Her mind was racing with thoughts of what could happen if this went bad. She could die here. She took a single step back before shaking her head. She couldn’t leave. Kyra knew she knew now. Besides, talking with her could solve their conflict.
She took a deep breath and trotted up to the front door. Raising her hoof, she knocked three times and waited. There was the sound of hooves approaching before the door opened a crack. Daisy peeked out and saw the purple unicorn before opening the door.
“She’s in the kitchen,” Daisy said as she stepped aside.
Twilight gave her a light smile before entering. As Daisy closed the door, Twilight moved through the dark to what she figured was the kitchen. Stepping into the room, she saw a pair of red glowing eyes watching her from the kitchen table.
“So…” Twilight said, as she felt like her heart was about to explode. “you’re… back.” As her eyes adjusted to the light, Twilight could barely make out Kyra’s face. The demon was just staring, her eyelids slowly closing halfway. “Um… Welcome back?”
“Is that why you came, Sparkle?” Kyra asked, sounding supremely bored and irritated. “To roll out the welcome wagon after caving the mountain in on my head?”
“I’m not…” Twilight began as she pulled out a chair and sat down at the table across from the demon. “here to fight,” she finished. “Just talk. We don’t need to start anything.”
“Why don’t you start talking?” Kyra suggested. “And, if you piss me off, I’ll kill you.”
Twilight started to sweat nervously. “O-Okay. To start off, please don’t kill anyone.”
Kyra let out a deep laugh that turned into a cackle. If the lights were on, Twilight would probably see the tears in the red mare’s eyes. “Oh, Twilight. I plan on killing at least six more.”
“Six?” Twilight asked. “Wh-Why can’t it be zero?”
Kyra hesitated before ducking down out of sight. Twilight started to lean back to look under the table when she felt hooves loosely wrap around her neck from behind. “You and your friends must pay for what you did to me,” Kyra whispered into the unicorn’s ear.
Twilight felt a shiver go down her spine. This was the first time she was this close to the demon. “You were going to kill us. We had to stop you.”
Kyra leaned in and pressed her left cheek to the unicorn's right cheek. “You know, you reek of fear, Sparkle. The unicorn then let out a shudder as she felt the demon's tongue slide up her cheek. "And, you taste delicious."
Twilight let out a nervous chuckle. "Um... Well... You tried to kill us for no reason and we defended ourselves. I'd say we're all even, right? Start over?"
Kyra whipped her tail around and hit Twilight with enough force to knock her back in her chair. The purple mare hit the floor hard with a yelp of pain before the demon sat on her chest. "Because of what you did, I can't return home. Because of you, I'm stuck here. If you just died like you were supposed to, and let the Elements die with you, this would have all been over a year ago."
"I get it," Twilight sighed, looking up at the red eyes glaring down at her. "The Elements trapped you and we control the Elements now. What if I promised not to use them on you?"
Kyra threw her head back and laughed hysterically. "Oh, fuck, you're serious?" She asked, giggling. "Damn, Twilight, you think I'm falling for that?"
"The Elements trapped you in stone before for a reason," Twilight explained. "It was to meet us . Then, the second time, I'm betting something else happened to you. Something that needed to happen."
The demon stayed silent for a moment before getting off the mare. "Get out. And, stay out of my way. Unless you want to end up like your zebra friend."
Twilight slowly got up and turned towards the red mare. "Fine. Just, think it over," she said as she started to leave the kitchen. "We don't have to be your enemies." The second she was out of the house, Kyra used what little power she had to slam the front door shut. The unicorn sighed and started her way back home.
Kyra stayed still for a moment before heading towards the bedroom. Daisy followed closely behind. "What are you going to do?" The earth pony asked.
The demon entered the bedroom and climbed onto the bed. "I'm gonna fuck the shit out of you. Now, get up here," she growled softly.
Daisy stared before a small smile crept on her face. 'If that'll make you happy," she said, before getting onto the bed.
Kyra pulled her underneath and laid atop her back. "It'll make me very happy," she cooed, before giving a single thrust that made them both moan out deeply.
Twilight arrived back at the library where the others were waiting. Even Luna had come back to check out how things went.
“How’d it go?” Applejack asked, taking a step forward.
Twilight shrugged. “Not really sure. She just told me to stay out of her way. I didn’t feel like sticking around to have her clarify.”
“The fact you are still alive is as good an answer as any,” Luna said with a smile. “It means we might still be able to talk her down.”
“But, we can’t risk provoking her,” Twilight reminded them.
“Hmmm…” Pinkie thought aloud. “I think it’s time we show her a little bit of Ponyville hospitality.”
The Next Morning...
Pinkie opened the front door of Sugarcube Corner and saw the demon walking by. She smiled and waved. “Kyra! Hey, Kyra!” The red mare froze in place before slowly looking over at the pink pony. The pink mare felt a hoof tap her on the back. “Hey, Kyra,” she said as she turned around.
“Kyra’s here?” Asked Fluttershy.
Pinkie blinked a couple times before turning back around. Kyra was now in the doorway, directly in front of her. The mare’s pupils were dilated and her mouth open wide to reveal rows of razor sharp teeth. She had three tongues wiggling about as drool dripped from her mouth. The world outside also appeared to be a black void. Pinkie and Fluttershy stared at her.
“Hey, Kyra,” Pinkie said with a smile.
Kyra closed her mouth and let out a sigh as everything went back to normal. “Shit.”
“Come on,” Pinkie beamed. “Help us bake a cake.”
The demon raised an eyebrow. “Are you serious? I came back to kill you, and you wanna bake a cake with me?”
Pinkie shrugged. “Kill us, or don’t. But, we’re gonna bake a cake and would be ever-so-happy if you joined us.”
She then turned and headed for the kitchen with Fluttershy following. Kyra watched them leave before looking over her shoulder at the exit.
As Pinkie started setting up the counter to bake, Fluttershy trotted up behind her. “Are you sure she’s coming?
Pinkie smiled and looked over her shoulder. “Welcome, Kyra. Glad you could join us.”
Fluttershy turned around as the demon trotted up beside her. "Oh, Kyra," the pegasus said with a smile. "Hello."
Kyra eyed her before looking at the pink mare. "I'm only here because I have nothing else to do right now."
"Of course," Pinkie said with a wink. "Come on over."
Kyra frowned slightly before walking over. When she stood beside the earth pony, Fluttershy joined them on the other side of Pinkie.
“So… Daisy, huh?” Pinkie asked with a smile. The demon rolled her eyes. “Oh, come on. It’s okay if you’re dating someone. That’s your business, after all.”
“You’re right,” Kyra snapped. “My business.”
Pinkie giggled. “Oh, so you are dating. Good for you.” She then gasped and looked at the scowling mare. “Have you used that three-tongue move on her? I bet she’d like that. Ooo, ooo! How long can you make your tongue. Can it go all the way up a mare’s…”
“I think we’re getting off track,” Fluttershy said with a nervous chuckle. “Sorry, Kyra. She’s sort of…”
“Insane?” The demon asked.
Now, it was Pinkie’s turn to frown. “I prefer energetic or fun. Insane sort of describes…”
“Your other side?” Kyra asked darkly as an evil grin spread across her face. “What if I brought her out again?”
Pinkie took a step back. “You can’t,” she gasped. “That isn’t me. Maybe, a long time ago, I needed her, but… I have friends now. I’m happy.”
“Shame,” Kyra cooed. “She would’ve been a fun one to fuck.”
Fluttershy cleared her throat. “Um… are we baking a cake, or… or what?”
Kyra slowly looked over at the pegasus. “I bet you’d make some pretty cute noises, too. How about it? Care to take a demon for a spin?”
Fluttershy blushed and hid her face behind her mane. “Oh, dear. That’s lewd.”
Kyra slowly trotted up to her and leaned in close. “I know you want it. You’re just really good at keeping yourself from getting wet.” She then pulled back and looked at Pinkie. “Enjoy your cake,” she said, before leaving the kitchen.
Pinkie stared, wide-eyed and heart racing, as the demon left. “Oh, boy…”
When Kyra left Sugarcube, she saw Derpy approaching with mail. The pegasus stopped at the foot of the steps, staring at the red mare.
“Uh… H-Hello, Kyra,” Derpy greeted. “Welcome back.”
Kyra smiled and skipped down the steps before hugging the pegasus. “How’s my old pet doing? It’s been a while.”
Derpy chuckled nervously and hugged back just as the demon pulled away. “A whole year.”
Kyra looked the mare up and down with half-lidded eyes. “Still as yummy as I remember.”
Derpy blushed and shifted nervously. “Um… After my route… would you like to catch up?”
Kyra smirked and looked inside the mailbag. “Fret not, sweet Derpy. For this is no challenge for a demon.” With a wave of her hoof, the letters and packages all vanished. “There. Each one where it should be. Now…” She wrapped a foreleg around Derpy’s neck and pulled her in close. “how about we do some catching up?”
“Okay…” Deeply blushed. “I mean, if you really delivered everything already then I suppose I have some free time…”
“Good!” Kyra exclaimed. “Come on!” She then started pulling the pegasus along.
Derpy stumbled at first but managed to keep her footing as she walked beside the demon. “Where are we going?”
“Over here,” Kyra sang, pulling the pegasus into an alley. Heading further down, they arrived at a small clearing behind a few shops. Kyra then let go of Derpy and backed away.
“What?” Derpy asked. “What are you…”
When Derpy turned around, Kyra made the world around them seemingly fade into a black void. The demon’s cheeks ripped apart as her mouth opened wider than normal. She then lined at Derpy who screamed and turned around to run. She didn’t get far before slamming into an invisible wall.
“NO!” She screamed, tears running down her face as she cowered in fear. “PLEASE, NO!”
Kyra smiled and sat beside her, putting a hoof around her as the world returned to normal. “Ahhh, it’s so nice to be able to scare someone again.”
“Wh-What?” Asked Derpy, shuddering and sniffling. “Y-You aren’t going to… k-kill me?”
“Of course not,” Kyra cooed. “Once I kill the Elements, I’ll make sure both you and Daisy are well taken care of.” She then sighed ruefully. “It does suck that those other six notches aren’t scared of me anymore. It would be so easy to kill them otherwise.” She smiled and used her free hoof to make Derpy look at her. “Oh, stop crying,” she cooed, before kissing the mare on the lips.
Derpy went wide-eyed when she felt the demon’s tongue slide into her mouth and wrap around her own tongue. When the demon pulled away, both mare’s panted softly.
“On your belly,” Kyra ordered as she spread her legs. “Make me happy.” The pegasus blushed and looked around. “Don’t worry about anyone seeing. Just put your lips to my lips and start licking. And, be quick about it. Fluttershy got me horny.”
“Fluttershy did?” Derpy asked, sounding confused. “How did…”
Kyra sighed and turned to pin Derpy against the side of the building with her hooves. "Just... lick."
"I-Isn't that what D-Daisy's for?" The gray mare stammered.
Kyra's eyelids narrowed as she leaned in close. Derpy felt her rate quicken and feared that she had made her last mistake. Then, the demon threw her to the ground. "Fine. Just as worthless as before," she grumbled, before turning and trotting away.
"The Demon You're Supposed To Be"
After being properly eaten out by Daisy, Kyra trotted down the path towards Fluttershy's cottage. It was dark now and had started raining a few minutes ago. The demon's eyes narrowed and she took a step forward before she felt a familiar presence behind her. Turing around, she saw a taller black mare with long grey hair smiling at her. "Viper?"
"Hey, lil' sister," the black demon cooed. "Been a while. I see you're free now."
"I am," Kyra said with a light smile. "But, those ponies used the Elements on me, and now I don't have the power to head back home. Can you bring me?"
"The Nether?" Viper asked with a chuckle. "You can't come home. Not after what you've done."
"What I've done?" Kyra asked. "What are you talking about?"
Viper smirked and leaned in. "You got caught. Then, you went on a rampage and got defeated by mere mortals a second time. You're not worthy of the Nether."
"But..." Kyra began, tears filling her eyes. "I... I just wanna come home!"
"Impossible," the black mare said as she shook her head and stood upright. "Not until you learn your lesson."
"W-Well, what's my lesson?!" Kyra cried. "What did I do wrong?!"
Viper smiled and stepped back. "You have to figure that out on your own," she said, before disappearing in a poof of smoke.
"F-Fine!" Kyra yelled, tears running down her cheek. "I can do it on my own! I don't need you! I... I-I don't need any pony!" She then dropped onto her flanks and started crying.
Her sobbing was interrupted by the sounds of approaching hoofsteps. "Excuse me?" Came Fluttershy's voice. "Are you okay?" Kyra gasped and looked back at the pegasus, making the yellow mare take a step back. When Fluttershy noticed the tears, she took a small step forward. "A-Are you okay, Kyra?"
The red mare stared at her in disbelief. "Wh... What? Why do you care?"
"Because, you look like you could use somepony right now."
Kyra stood up and cleared her throat. “I don’t need… any pony.”
“Everyone needs a friend, Kyra,” Fluttershy said with a smile. “You’re welcome to come in anytime you want. We could have tea together,” she added with a brief giggle, before she turned and trotted back towards her cottage.
Kyra was breathing heavily now. When she heard the pegasus depart, she looked back to see her disappear into her cottage. As she stared, she heard thunder close by.
“Twilight was right,” she shuddered as rain started falling. “I-I’m feeling.”
She closed her eyes as the rain came down a little harder now. Picking up her right forehoof, she began a slow walk back to town.
There was no pony out at the moment due to the storm, so the streets were empty. Kyra made her way back towards Daisy’s when she heard the faint sound of glass breaking. She looked in the direction of the sound and saw a masked mare climbing in through a window of a house.
“Oh, naughty girl,” Kyra cooed, licking her lips.
The masked orange unicorn mare crept through the dark house over to the stairs. Making her way up, she made her way down the hall towards the bedrooms. She heard a noise behind her and spun around. Nothing. She listened carefully for the sound of hooves, but everyone seemed to be sleeping. She turned back around and bumped into a red mare. Before she could react, the red mare wrapped a foreleg around her.
“Shh,” Kyra whispered. “I’m not with the family you’re robbing, nor do I care what you’re doing.”
The orange mare started at her and took a step back. “Then… why are you here?”
Kyra chuckled and took a step closer. “When you climbed in, I saw your wonderful marehood glistening in the moonlight. Can I assume stealing turns you on?”
The mare stared at her, probably blushing hard under the mask. “So what?”
The demon smirked and stepped up to her. “Because that turns me on. Does the fear of getting caught also get you going? Say, I ate you out right here… Would the threat of attracting attention with your moans make you taste sweeter?”
The robber let out a whimper and rubbed her hind legs together. Kyra could smell how wet she was. The demon smiled and leaned in close.
“Don’t move,” she cooed. “And, try not to make a sound.”
The orange mare watched the demon walk around to her backside. It wasn’t long before she felt the red mare’s tongue on her folds. She moaned out softly through her clenched teeth as her legs started to wobble. She soon let out a muffled squeal as she came. Kyra let out a moan of her own and giggled. She then trotted back around to the mare's front before kissing her on the lips. The orange mare closed her eyes and leaned into the kiss, her tongue sliding its way into the demon's mouth.
Kyra's eyes flashed red as she smirked. Letting out a deep sigh, she clamped her teeth together, ripping through the mare's tongue. The robber went wide-eyed as tears streamed her face. She let out a squeal of pain and pulled back, blood rushing from her mouth. Kyra chewed the dismembered tongue in her mouth as the orange mare started to run away. Kyra grinned and swallowed the tongue before she felt a surge of power. The robber's hind legs suddenly tore off from her thighs, causing the mare to scream and collapse to the floor by the stairs. Sobbing and bleeding out, the mare crawled to the stairs as the demon trotted up behind her.
"Let me help," she cooed, before kicking the mare down the stairs. She heard a commotion from the owner's bedroom and sighed. "Shit," she sighed, before looking down the stairs at the injured mare. She then used her new powers to tear the forelegs off as she quickly trotted down the stairs. "One more kiss for the road," she sang as the mare stared up at her, no longer able to cry or make any noise due to the loss of blood and immense pain. Kyra's mouth opened wide before she clamped down on the mare's face.
Kyra entered Daisy's bedroom, making the mare sit up in her bed. The demon was dripping wet with her hair in front of her face.
"Kyra?" Daisy asked. "Where were you?" The demon just stood still, not saying or doing anything. Daisy slowly got out of bed and trotted over. "Kyra?" She asked again. "Oh, you're soaking wet. Wait here," she said, before heading to the bathroom. When she came back with a towel, she draped it over the demon. She then stood in front of Kyra again and waited for movement of any kind. Nothing. She slowly reached a hoof out to move the mare's hair out of the way to see her face. Kyra's eyes were fixated on the floor with what appeared to be tears running down her cheek. "Um... Kyra? Are you okay?"
"What am I?" The demon asked softly.
Daisy leaned in with a light smile. "What? What are you? A demon, right?"
Kyra slowly trotted over to the bed, the towel falling off her as she seemed dry now. "I went to Fluttershy's cottage... but, I couldn't kill her. I stumbled upon a thief robbing a house on my way back here... and I ate her out... then I ate her ."
Daisy let out a soft gasp. "Well..." She was cut off when they heard commotion outside. It seemed the owner's of the house found the body. "It seems like you have no problem killing bad ponies. But, you couldn't kill Fluttershy because... she didn't deserve it?"
The red mare climbed into bed, the bed sheets sliding down to allow her to lie down before they were pulled over her by an unseen force.
Daisy sighed and trotted around to her side of the bed and climbed in. When she was comfortable, she rested on her side so she could look at the demon. "Whatever Twilight did with the Elements... Maybe, it set you back on the right track? Of being the demon you're supposed to be?"
Kyra stared at her for a few seconds before rolling over. Daisy frowned and simply stared at the demon's back for a couple minutes. Daisy then slid up to the mare and wrapped her hoof around her before closing her eyes. Kyra made no attempt to push her off.
Twilight and friends reconvened the next morning to discuss the day prior.
“Alright,” Twilight began. “Let’s talk about yesterday. Starting from the top.”
“Well, our plan failed,” Pinkie grumbled. “She really seemed like a cake type. Or, maybe she’s more into pie.”
“She straight up refused us,” Rainbow said as AJ nodded in agreement.
“Wouldn’t have nuttin’ to do with us,” AJ added.
“Rarity?” Twilight asked, turning to the white unicorn who was biting her lip. “Um… Rarity?”
“She frightens me, okay?” Rarity blurted out. “I have no problem with diamond dogs or dragons… but, she’s a demon. An actual … demon.”
“Understandable,” Twilight reassured her with a smile. “But, this was for us as well as for her. If you show fear around her, she’s more likely to kill you.”
“Be brave, Rarity,” Fluttershy said with a small smile. “We can’t lose anyone else.”
Rarity gave a small smile in return before the front door burst open and the mayor ran in.
“Twilight,” she wheezed, out of breath. “There was… another attack. This one definitely looks like the work of a monster.”
The ponies all eyed each other. “Who was killed?” Asked the purple unicorn, taking a step forward.
“A mare,” the mayor answered. “Orange. Face and limbs torn off. A bag of stolen items that suggest she was a burglar.”
Fluttershy gasped and covered her mouth as Rarity looked around for a bucket and a couch.
“We have to stop her,” Applejack said with determination. “She’s already killed two.”
“It doesn’t make sense,” the yellow pegasus said with a shake of her head. “I saw her last night. By my cottage. I… I think she went there to… to kill me. But, I found her crying. When I offered her some tea, she just… left.”
Twilight started to pace back and forth. “Goes to kill Fluttershy. Doesn’t. Kills a burglar instead. She also saved Daisy earlier.”
“Are you saying she’s trying to change?” Asked Pinkie. “Because that would be so cool.”
“Cool, sure,” Rainbow halfheartedly agreed. “Would be awesome if she actually did it.”
“We need to keep an eye out for her,” Twilight said as she turned to face her friends. “And, has anyone seen Derpy?”
Kyra left Daisy’s house and trotted towards the town’s center. As she walked, she passed by the house that she was at last night. The one where she ate the robber’s face after ripping her apart. That time, she left the body behind to stir up trouble. She was reminded of the mare’s face when she bit her tongue off. Why was she not smiling at that? The pain of others usually brought her joy.
Getting to the town’s center, she trotted over to the fountain and rested her forelegs on the edge. She stared into the water at her own reflection as her rejection started back with same half-lidded gaze. Another memory popped into her head; those two mares on their date. They seemed to be happy.
Kyra sat upright and cleared her throat. Looking around, she saw no one in her immediate vicinity. Letting out a sigh, she returned her attention to the fountain. “Nice day, isn’t it?” She asked, imagining someone sitting next to her. “Last night was… a hard one for me. I don’t know why, I guess… it had something to do with being hit by the Elements. The first time, I was turned to stone. This time…” She let out a sigh. “I don’t know. I just feel different. I actually… care.”
She looked around at the ponies mingling as foals laughed and played with each other. She was pulled out of her thoughts as a ball rolled up to her and tapped her back hoof. She turned around to see two colts standing side-by-side, their eyes going from their ball to her. She looked down and slowly lifted her hood before giving the ball a light kick. It rolled back towards the colts as they smiled.
“Thanks, ma’am!” One beamed as he took the ball and kicked it away, the other following as they resumed their game of pass.
Kyra watched them with a light smile on her face. Looking at her hoof, she set it back down on the ground. “Maybe, I don’t have to kill Twilight and her friends. Their power would only pass to others who are worthy. But, if I destroy the Elements, they’ll never be used against me again.”
When she looked up, she saw Daisy slowly approaching her. "Must you?" Daisy asked, a look of sadness on her face.
Kyra nodded. "It's either the ponies or the Elements," she said as she trotted right past the pale magenta mare. "There's no other way."
Daisy sighed and looked over her shoulder at the demon. "I can't stop you. I just hope you do the right thing."
Kyra kept walking as a single tear ran down her cheek. As Daisy watched her leave, Derpy trotted over to her.
“How is she?” The pegasus asked.
“Confused,” Daisy replied, before looking at the gray mare. “I heard about yesterday. I’m sorry she almost…”
“It’s fine,” Derpy said with a light smile. “As long as she’s… better.”
Daisy shook her head and looked at where she last saw Kyra. “I fear she’s about to do something terrible. And, I don’t think anyone can stop her.”
Derpy thought for a moment before putting a hoof on Daisy’s back. “There’s only one who can.”
“Who?” The flower pony asked. “Me?”
Derpy shook her head. “Herself. ”
“Oh, princess… I can taste your fear.”
Kyra walked up to the ruins of the old castle, suddenly getting hit with a sense of nostalgia. A warmth built up inside her as a tear ran down her cheek. She looked over at the front steps of the castle and remembered how she and her sister would hang out there, waiting for Moonbeam to finish with her princess duties. She slowly trotted over to the steps and sat down in her usual spot. With her eyes focused on the front doors, she let out a sigh.
“How much longer do you think she’ll be?” Kyra whined, re-enacting the memory in her head. She then looked at the base of the stairs where her sister would stand. "You can't rush perfection," she said, remembering how her sister replied.
Kyra's ears twitched when she heard giggling to her right. Turning to look, she saw a younger version of herself playing with a blue mare with short dark blue hair. She watched them play tag with a smile before she saw her sister approach them. Back then she was known as Aura.
"Alright, Amber," the younger Viper cooed. "I need Moonbeam now."
"Aww, already?" Amber asked, rolling onto her back.
Moonbeam giggled and rubbed her belly. "I shall be back later."
"Much later," Amber whined. "Your dates always take forever."
"When you're older, you'll understand," Aura chuckled, holding out her hoof. "Come on. I need to get you to the sitter's."
Amber sighed and got up. "Fiiiiine."
Kyra kept smiling as she watched them walk away. She then heard a familiar voice behind her.
"So, it is you," a mare said, making Kyra turn around. Standing there was Luna. "Aura's little sister." Kyra locked eyes with her before looking away. "I was devastated when I found out what happened. I knew you would not be alive, but... to find out that you two..." Kyra kept staring at the ground. "At least, I... get to see you again." Kyra stayed silent, making Luna's smile fade a little. "Um... How is Aura? Do you see her?"
Kyra sighed heavily. "She's fine." Luna smiled as Kyra picked her head up and looked around.
"Oh, good," the princess replied. "So... why are you back? Or... how ? I thought..."
"The Elements were used on me, yes," Kyra said, before her eyes flashed red. "And, I came back to take my revenge on Twilight and her friends." Luna let out a soft gasp before Kyra sighed again. "But, that wouldn't change anything. However...” Kyra said with a smile as her ears perked up. “If I destroyed the Elements..."
“N-No, you can not do that, Amber,” Luna pleaded, quickly trotting right up to the demon. “This land needs them for protection. Th-They’re a beacon of hope.”
Kyra looked around again before smirking. “Wasn’t there a cave near here?” She asked.
Amber ran down front steps that led from the castle down Into the canyon. At the bottom, she saw a large cave and instantly became interested. Trotting closer, she saw a glowing tree inside. “Wow,” she said in awe.
When she stepped up to the mouth of the cave, she heard a figure land behind her. “There you are, silly filly,” came Moonbeam’s voice.
Amber looked back at her. “What’s this tree doing here? How can it grow without sunlight?”
“It is a special tree,” the princess replied as she squatted down. “It does not need the sunlight to survive.”
“Then, how does it grow down here?” Amber asked.
Moonbeam giggled. “With the love and harmony of all of us. And, in return, it uses that love and harmony to protect the land and all who live here.”
“Cool…” Amber cooed.
“Though, you must never tell any pony it’s here,” the alicorn continued. “If the wrong pony found out, it would only lead to disaster.”
“I promise…” Amber started.
“…I won’t tell any pony,” Kyra finished with a smirk. Luna just stared at her with wide eyes. “Oh, princess… I can taste your fear.”
Derpy ran into the library. "Twilight?!" She yelled, looking around. Looking around, she saw no one. "Twilight?!" When there was still no answer, she bolted from the library to go find the unicorn somewhere in Ponyville. She wasn't sure how much time she had to warn them of Kyra. When she was about to leave, she bumped into Luna.
"Oh, princess," Derpy gasped. "Apologies!"
"It is alright," Luna reassured her. "Where is Twilight? Kyra's after the source of the Elements."
"I-I don't know," Derpy stammered. "She's usually here."
Luna nodded. "We have to find her fast. And get the Elements."
"You get the Elements, princess," Derpy said with a forced smile. "I'll go find Twilight."
The alicorn nodded and placed her hoof on the mare's shoulder. "Good luck," she said with a smile before taking off back to Canterlot.
Derpy bolted out of the library to go find Twilight.
Kyra trotted down the long staircase, heading down into the cavern below. Getting to the bottom, she saw the cave with an ethereal glow emanating from it. Smiling, she trotted over to it. "There you are," she cooed, approaching the mouth of the cave.
Standing in the opening, she stared at the crystal tree. "It's been a while, tree." She sighed and leaned against the rock wall. "It's nothing personal. I would just... rather eliminate the power than the ponies. They aren't all bad. Tolerable. A little annoying, but... there's something about them. I need to know more, but I'm not safe with you around."
The tree said nothing, but Kyra could feel a calming presence. She closed her eyes and shuddered a little.
"It's so peaceful here." She then opened her eyes. "I may not be able to rip you apart, but maybe I can cause a cave-in." She looked around to check the structural integrity of the cave. As she did, she heard the sound of teleportation magic behind her.
"Kyra!" Came a familiar voice.
The demon slowly turned around to see the Element-bearers, along with Derpy and Luna, standing a few feet away. "You made it just in time to..." She then noticed the ponies wearing their Elements. She then quickly turned to face them as she got into a defensive position. "Make your move! Then, I'll make mine!"
"We aren't here to fight," Twilight said with a shake of her head.
"Really?!" Kyra shouted, before letting out a laugh. "HA! As if I'd believe that shit, seeing that you're wearing them!"
"They're for protection," Twilight reassured her. "If we kept fighting, you'd just keep coming back again and again until we'd be too old to do anything." She then took a step forward. "I know we can't stop you. Even with the Elements. But, you can trust us not to use them on you if we can trust that you won't kill anyone else."
"Those two I killed deserved it!" Kyra shouted, tears starting to form in her eyes. "That stallion was going to rape Daisy in a much rougher way than I did! And, that mare was a thief!"
Twilight sighed. "Daisy likes you, despite what you did. But, those two ponies should've been brought to justice by other means. Your methods are too extreme. But, if we can agree to..."
"I'm not making any deals until this tree is destroyed!" Kyra yelled, turning to the Tree. "You don't know what it was like, being flattened under a pile of rocks for a year! I was awake! I felt everything! I won't let that happen again!"
Twilight gasped and looked at her friends. They all seemed a little shocked by that, too. She then looked at Kyra again and took a deep breath. When she took a step forward, Rainbow put a hoof on her shoulder. Twilight looked at her and gave a nod. The pegasus looked at the demon before looking at her friend again. Nodding in response, she pulled back. Twilight then began making her way towards the cave. When she was behind the demon, Kyra gasped and turned around. Before she could react, Twilight put a hoof on her cheek. The demon gasped and went wide-eyed. Twilight looked into her eyes as the demon stared back.
After giving a light smile, Twilight walked past her and up to the tree. Kyra turned around and watched as Twilight's crown turned into a ball of light before being absorbed into the tree. The unicorn then turned back around and walked up to the demon.
"Why?" Kyra asked, eyes wide and watery.
"Because, I don't want to hurt you," Twilight said gently. "I don't want you to feel afraid or threatened. I'm also sick of all this worrying. Do whatever you have to to feel safe. But, this Tree is more important than you know." She then started to head back to her friends. "I'll leave you to make your decision."
Before Kyra could turn around, she saw the other five Element-bearers walk past her and give up their Element to the Tree, each one giving her a light smile as they walked past her. After all the Elements were in the Tree again, the six friends and Luna and Derpy all gathered. The alicorn and gray pegasus took one final look at the demon before the princess teleported them all back to Ponyville.
Kyra stood frozen in place as she watched the eight ponies leave. Tears started to fall down her cheeks as she gritted her teeth. Her breathing became erratic before she looked back at the Tree. Sniffling, she turned and slowly trotted towards it.
“Wh-Who the fuck am I?” She asked, her voice breaking. “W-What am I?” The tree said nothing. “I-I’m a demon, but… why c-can’t I k-kill…” She suddenly lost the ability to speak as she dropped to her flanks and started crying.
About a minute passed before she felt a hoof on her head. “T-Twili…” She began, before seeing the pony before her. This mare was white with golden eyes and long golden mane and tail. Her mane and tail had an opacity gradient which made the hair solid near the body but transparent towards the ends. It looked as though her hair merged with the light around her. “What?” Kyra asked, dumbfounded.
The glowing mare smiled warmly. “Hello, Kyra. I am glad to see that you have chosen not to destroy me.” The mare seemed to enunciate every word and her voice had a certain ego to it, making her sound ethereal.
“Wh-Who are you?” The demon asked, staring into the mare’s eyes and feeling weak in her presence.
“Hmmm…” The mare thought aloud. “I do not have one. But, if you must address me, you may call me… Harmony.”
“Harmony?” Kyra asked, before eyeing the crystal tree. “As in… The Tree Of?”
The mare gave a single nod. “I have become more powerful over the years and can now manifest into the pony you see before you. I can look like anyone, but… this form suits me.”
“Do you… remember me?” Kyra asked, returning her attention to the pony.
Harmony smiled. “Of course I do, Amber. You were much more happy back then.”
“That was before the bullying,” Kyra explained. “The one that… led to my death.”
“I still cannot believe you chose the life of a demon over the life of an angel,” Harmony sighed.
Kyra shook her head. “No! It’s not my fault I became this. I was a good pony!”
“And, how was it that you became what you are?” Harmony asked.
Kyra thought back to the fire and sighed. “I wished for vengeance.”
“You were corrupted by hatred, and that left you vulnerable to temptation,” the ethereal pony explained. “It was … your doing.”
Kyra let out a gasp and stood up, whipping around to face Harmony. “Bullshit. I didn’t have a choice! I was going to die!”
“You didn’t?” Kyra was about to retort, but closed her mouth and looked away. “Face the facts, Kyra,” Harmony continued. “You are a demon. Pain is in your nature.”
Kyra let out a growl. “You don’t get to tell me who I am or what I can be. You’re just a fucking tree! I’ll show you,” she hissed as she turned to leave the cave. “I’m gonna be the best fucking friend those ponies have ever seen! You’ll see!” She shouted back as she stomped away.
Harmony smiled as she watched. “Attagirl, Kyra.”
Kyra was crying softly by the time she left the Forest. “She’s just a fucking tree,” she told herself, before she saw Fluttershy’s cottage. Sniffling, she trotted on over and knocked on the door. As she waited, she hung her head and tried to stop crying.
The front door suddenly opened a crack. “Kyra?” Fluttershy asked. “How’s the…”
“The Tree?” Kyra asked, getting a nod from the pegasus. “It’s still standing.”
“Oh, good,” Fluttershy replied with a smile.
“Yeah, u-u-um…” Kyra started, her voice starting to tremble again. “Could we… have that tea now?” She asked, looking at the mare.
In the light of the cottage, the pegasus could see the tears. She let out a silent gasp and opened the door. “Of course. Come on in.”
Kyra sniffled again and slowly trotted inside.
The next day, all of Ponyville was gathered around Zecora’s hut to pay their respects. Mayor Mare left the crowd to make her speech.
“It has been one year since we lost our dear friend, Zecora though it feels like a lifetime,” she began. “We were all skeptical of her when she first arrived, but we soon came to call her a true friend. On countless occasions, has she helped us and even let a hoof in the hospital as well.”
As the mayor went on, Kyra’s ears drooped more and more. She was tired from her thoughts when she heard the mayor mention start to mention her.
“I was told that the, uh… one responsible is here with us,” Mayor Mare announced, causing everyone to start talking among themselves. “A-And that she is a… um… well, a demon.”
This caused a mare near Kyra to shriek. The red mare sighed deeply and started to leave the group. The ponies all stopped talking and stared at her. A few in the front took a step back as Kyra turned to face them. All eyes were on her now as the Mayor also backed away.
"A year ago," Kyra began. "I wouldn't have hesitated to kill every single one of you."
"Not helping," Twilight whispered loudly as all the ponies took another step back.
"But, I'm not that pony anymore," Kyra continued, her eyes going to the ground. "When I killed Zecora I... was not myself. I was angry at the princesses for trapping me in stone... and I took it out on the first one I came across." She then looked up at the large crowd. "But, I didn't stop there. I also tortured Derpy." The gray pegasus took a small step forward as her eyes locked with Kyra's. The demon just stared at her, blinking a few times before continuing. "I tore her apart... and put her back together... repeatedly. Then, I captured Fluttershy and forced her friends to come save her... in the hopes to kill them. I also came back to try and kill them again... I saved Daisy from a rapist... only to rape her myself afterwards. I was going to destroy the Elements so that they could never be used against me, despite what the effects that would have on the land." Tears began to drip from her eyes onto the dirt below her. "I have been nothing but horrible... and yet..." She then looked up at Twilight. "I-I keep getting a chance to... to change." She looked back at the zebra's hut. "I had no idea how much she meant to everyone. And, I wish I could take it back, but… what’s done is done. I don’t expect anyone to ever forgive me, though, quite frankly, I don’t really need you to. The only thing I can do is say that I’m…” There was a moment of silence that seemed to go on forever as the demon struggled to get her apology out. “I… I-I’m s…” Her eyes then fell on Derpy. “I’m sorry.” She then disappeared in a burst of dark red smoke.
The crowd chatter picked up again as Derpy walked up to Twilight. “Where do you think she went?”
“I think I know,” Daisy answered as she joined them.
Kyra was hunched over with her cheek resting on the lip of the fountain, staring at the water inside. Her reflection looked back at her. “Did I do the right thing? Confessing? Apologizing? How come I don’t feel any better?”
“These things take time,” Twilight said, making Kyra look back as the small group of ponies made their way towards the fountain.
Kyra was about to say something before Derpy started to approach her. The gray pegasus had the small hint of a smile as she sat next to the red demon.
“Derpy…” Kyra started. “You, of all ponies, should know that I can’t be trusted. And, that I should never be forgiven for the things I’ve done. To others and, especially, you.”
“Well, you sound pretty remorseful,” Derpy said as she looked into the demon’s eyes. “So, I forgive you.”
Kyra went wide-eyed. “B-But, I…” She stopped when the gray mare hugged her. She felt tears starting to fill her eyes again. “Dammit. Dammit. Dammit.”
“It’s okay to cry,” Derpy cooed gently. “Just let it all out.”
“Not here,” Kyra grunted, before teleporting herself to the top of what was left of Dragon Mountain.
She collapsed on her flanks s as she felt the feeling welling up inside her. Clenching her eyes shut, she threw her head back and screamed at the top of her lungs. A pillar of dark red energy shot up from the pony and into the sky as a shockwave made the surrounding area rumble.
When she screamed a second time, this time louder, the red energy turned lighter as the rocks and rubble around the base of the mountain began to spiral around the pillar of energy.
Back at Ponyville, Twilight, Derpy, Daisy, and the others all stared at the pillar. Luna, who was in her room at the Canterlot castle, looked out her window at the red energy.
Kyra finished her second scream and panted heavily before seeing all the rocks. She dried her tears away and stood up, watching the rocks swirl around her magic. Ending the light show, she brought all the rocks in front of her before slamming them all together. She then began to heat them with her demon powers.
When Luna teleported to the base of the mountain, Kyra was just making it to the bottom. Seeing the princess, she tried over to her.
“Think she’ll like it?” Kyra asked. Luna tilted her head in confusion before looking at the top of the mountain. The demon had used the rocks to create a statue of Zecora, in a seated position, looking out over the Everfree Forest and Ponyville. “Now, she can always watch over the ones she cares about.”
The alicorn smiled. “She would have loved it, Amber.” Kyra smiled lightly and turned around to check her work. “Was that a smile?” Luna asked in a mildly teasing tone.
“Stop,” Kyra replied, and closed her eyes. “Just let me have this moment.” They then heard the approaching voices of the other ponies from the funeral. “And, it’s gone.”
When Mayor Mare stepped into view, she let out a gasp when she saw the Zecora statue. “Did you…”
Kyra sighed and turned around before leaving. As she past the mayor, she nodded. “Yeah. I did that,” she answered, walking past all the other ponies, who were all looking back and forth from the demon to the statue.
When she arrived at the end of the line, she saw Daisy waiting for her. “Ready to go home now?”
Kyra trotted over to her and gave her a tiny smile. Without saying anything, she teleported them away.
THE END?
Kyra was woken up with a start as Daisy jumped on her. “Guess what?” Daisy asked with a wide smile.
“What?” Asked Kyra. “This had better be good. I was…”
“I’m pregnant!” Daisy beamed.
Kyra went wide-eyed. “What?”
“What do you think of me?”
On her break, Daisy went back to her home. When she entered, she looked around. Closing the door, she then made her way into the bedroom. Laying on the bed was the demon, staring up at the ceiling. She smiled and trotted over to the bed.
“So, you wanted to know why I’m being nice?” She asked, making Kyra turn her head to make eye contact. “In addition to what I said earlier, I… I sort of like having you around,” she confessed with a small blush.
“W…” Kyra started as she stared at the flower pony. “What do you… Are you saying you…”
“Find you attractive?” Daisy asked as her blush grew. “Weird, right? I know we just met, but… there’s just something about a… socially awkward demon that I find interesting.”
“Socially awkward?” Kyra asked with a scoff. “Please. I never act off or avoid questions in a conversation.”
“Alright, then,” Daisy said with a smile. “What do you think of me?”
Kyra went wide-eyed again. “What, you? Well, I, uh… You see, I… The thing is, I-I’m not really, um…”
Daisy giggled and leaned in to nuzzle her cheek. “See? You’re cute. You put on that tough mare act, but I bet you're actually really sweet.”
Kyra scoffed. "I'm having a bit of an identity crisis. That's all. I know who I am, but... something's telling me I'm wrong. Normally, when some pony tells me I'm wrong, I fillet them. But, I can't really fillet a voice."
"Well, you could try acting nice, for starters," Daisy suggested. "Maybe, give me a kiss good-bye as I head back to work?"
The red mare shook her head. "Don't count on it, sweet cheeks. If I want something from you, I'll say so."
Daisy sighed and nodded. "I figured as much," she said as she turned to leave. "See you later, Kyra." As she left, she thought about how poorly her plan went. Being nice and coming onto her didn't seem to work. This demon sure seemed to be set in her ways. Maybe being her pet for life wouldn't be so bad? She sighed again and headed for the front door. When she made it to the center of the living room, she heard hoofsteps behind her. Stopping, she turned around to see the red mare standing in the doorway.
Kyra said nothing. She simply walked over to Daisy and gave her a quick kiss on the cheek before turning and heading back to the bedroom. Daisy just stared.
Twilight was passing by Daisy's house when she saw the red mare through the window. Fearing for the flower pony's life, she moved towards the window. She then went wide-eyed when she saw the red mare quickly kiss Daisy on the cheek before heading out of the room. She then saw Daisy head over to the front door and open. When the pale magenta mare left her house and started trotting away, Twilight ran over to her.
"Daisy," she said quickly and quietly.
The mare stopped and looked before smiling lightly. "Hey, Twilight."
"I don't know what she's told you or what''s going on between you two, but I need to speak with Kyra alone," Twilight said, getting right to the point.
Daisy eyed the floor and tilted her head. "You know what she is, then?"
Twilight nodded. "Kyra. A demon. Responsible for the death of Zecora."
The flower pony went wide-eyed and looked up at her. "Wh-What?"
"I neeeeed to speak with her, Daisy," Twilight pleaded. "Just me and her. No fighting. No killing. Just talking."
Daisy rubbed her left hoof nervously. "Uh... I-I mean, I... I can try ..."
"That's all I ask, Daisy," Twilight said with a smile. "And, how are you? Are you safe?"
The magenta mare nodded. "Kyra seems to like me, so... I feel pretty safe."
Twilight nodded, too. "Well, give her my message. I'll be waiting at the library."
"O-Okay," Daisy said as she turned around. "I'll see what I can do. O-Oh, Twilight?" She said, turning back around.
The unicorn stopped and looked back at her. "Yeah, Daisy?"
The pale magenta mare sighed. "She was talking about how if others are scared of her, she can do anything she wants to them. I think being afraid is how she kills you."
Twilight smiled and nodded. "Thanks for the tip."
Daisy gave her a small smile in return before leaving.
Later...
Daisy arrived back home and let out a sigh as she headed into the bedroom. Kyra was on her back on the bed and furiously rubbing her crotch.
"Oh, thank fuck, you're here," Kyra sighed. "I need your help. Get that tongue over here."
"Alright," Daisy said as she trotted over. "I do have something pretty big to discuss with you."
"If it doesn't involve my cock," Kyra snapped. "I don't care."
"It's about Twilight," Daisy said quickly.
Kyra went wide-eyed briefly before sighing heavily. "What?"
The earth pony climbed onto the bed and lay down between the demon's legs. "She wants to meet with you. She must have seen you through the window earlier."
Kyra rested her head on the pillow and groaned. "Fuuuuuuck... Fine. Tell her we can meet tonight. Just get me off first."
Daisy smiled and lowered her head before she began licking.
Twilight paced back and forth while her friends watched. “I can do this,” she kept repeating. “It’s just a conversation. With a demon. No biggie.”
Her friends all eyed each other before the front door opened. Daisy stepped inside with a small smile on her face. “Kyra said she’d meet you tonight. My place at 9.” She then turned around and left.
“That was abrupt,” AJ muttered.
“But, I got what I wanted,” Twilight said with a forced smile. “I’m gonna meet Kyra.”
