Twilight had been so gentle with Shy. Me, try as I might, I find I don't have the patience to deal with Flutters at times. Shame really, she IS my oldest friend.

“So do you understand?” I listen to Twilight explain things to the now fully pink Pegasus.

“Um, well...” Shy whimpers. “You and Rainbow are... together.” She smiles at us shyly. “Are you happy?”

Twilight looks at me and smiles. “Yea, I am.”

“Me too Shy. Honestly, I've never been happier than now.” I return Twi's smile. I like this warm feeling. I have no idea what it is, but I like it.

“Then that's all that matters.” Fluttershy said, while still blushing a shade of pink that could put Pinkie to shame, and smiles at us. I knew she'd understand. “But I do have a question.”

Twilight fielded this one before I could open my mouth. Knowing me, I'd just put my hoof in it.

“What would you like to know Fluttershy?” Twilight asks softly. Ooh, she had such a cute and sexy voice. I'm still wondering how I never noticed it before.

“Do you intend to, you know... meep.” And there you go, Fluttershy's famous little meep and hiding her face in her mane. I just roll my eyes and keep my mouth shut. Twi will be making sure that the opposite happens later with me.

“It's alright Fluttershy. You can ask us anything.” Except if you can join. You're like a sister to me. Sorry, but if you even think about asking that, I'll have to put my hoof down.

“Um... do you intend to get... m-m-meep!” Oh for crying out loud Shy. There's only so cute you're allowed to be at any given time, and you're pushing your luck right now.

“Just spit it out Shy. We won't get mad or nothing like that.” Okay, so I couldn't keep my yap shut... One of these days, it'll get me in big trouble.

“Areyougoingtogetmarried!” She blurted out. Hold on, just a sec while my brain tries...

“Get married?” Twilight blushes. Okay, her brain translated that faster than... wait... married? My face is heating up right about now at that idea. I hadn't even thought much about what Twi and I are really going to do with our relationship. Heck, all we've done was have sex once, kissed a few times, snuggled and talked for a little bit.

“That is… if you really want too.” I hear Flutters say before I manage to get my jaw relocated.

“Hold on Shy, we just got together. We have lots we need to talk about before even thinking about that… Right Twi?”

I watch Twilight nod open her mouth to speak. The curve of her jaw and movement of her soft lips… I just wanna kiss her right now. Not a good idea as that may traumatize Flutters.

“Dashie is right Fluttershy. I mean, we both realized, we do love each other, but marriage is something we will have to talk to each other about and even then, we have to realize everything about our feelings for each other.”

Flutters blushing is so cute. I just wanna hug her, a friendly hug, not that kind. Anyway, I stand up and stretch my wings. “Say Twi, how about you finish up chatting with Shy while I go get us something to eat.” I flash a sultry smile at her, hoping Flutters misses it.

Nope, from her expression, she saw it and understood that I want some lone time with my lover.

“Oh, don’t worry about me. I’m just happy that the two of you are happy.” She stands up as well, and I watch as MY stupid sexy Twilight gets up too, giving me a flash of her treasure that’s normally hidden by her silky tail.

“Thank you Fluttershy.” Twilight nuzzles her, and I’m alright with that. It’s a gesture of friendship after all. “We’ll catch up with you another time.”

“Yup, cya later Shy.” I add as I open the door for my marefriend. It feels funny, thinking of Twi as that, but at the same time, it feels just so right.

After we leave, we walk side by side, Twilight and I. We just walk, enjoying the warm air and the bright sun. By Celestia it’s a perfect day. I can feel my wings itching and twitch occasionally.

“Dashie?”

I turn my head and look into those clear amethyst eyes. They’re so beautiful and…

“You want to stretch your wings, don’t you?”

I blink. “Uh… Nah, I’m good.” Okay, maybe not as my wings twitch some more. Twilight is watching me, a soft smile on her lips. I can’t lie to her or ignore my own desire to feel the wind through my mane. “Yea, kinda itching for it right now.”

“Go ahead. I’ll prepare lunch for us back at the library.” She nuzzles me, and I breath in her simple, yet wonderful scent. Without another word, I take to the sky and stretch my wings. As much as I love Twi, I love flying too. Do I love it more? The same? I doubt I can love flying less than her. I live to fly, but now I have her in my life in a way I never did before.

I just hope my desire for the sky and my love for her never conflict. I'd hate to get into a fight with her.

As I fly wild and fast, my thoughts don't leave that wonderful mare. I really should be concentrating on my flying.

Time and again, usually between aerial tricks, I think of almost nothing other than Twi. How can I not? She's beautiful and smart and powerful. Between tricks and thoughts of the delightful love of my life, I try to focus on what tricks I want to do.

I pull a tight, high speed wing-over maneuver and she suddenly returns to my thoughts again. Kind, honest, generous, loyal and able to make me smile and laugh. She certainly has displayed traits from all of us bearers of the Elements.

I just can't get her out of my mind at all.

Hmm, I feel something is off. The wind feels wrong. I shake her from my vision…

And see the ground…
