“Rarity... is that you?”
The miniature girl stood at the center of the box. She leaned to the left, her body clad in a maid outfit one would see on a doll. With a hand on her hip and a smirk on her lips, Rarity then shook her head, closing her eyes. “Either I'm smaller than I think, or you need a pair of glasses, giant dragon.”
Spike was still at a loss for anything to say or to do. He actually raised his head from the box, glancing across his room, faint light coming from the window above his bed, the rays of sunlight illuminated the discarded clothing scattered across his floor. He squinted an eye at his door—it, for sure, was locked.
“Your gift is in here, sweetie.” Spike glanced back into the box, feeling his body go stiff at seeing Rarity of all girls shrunk, and simply standing there. Even though she was small, she still stood tall, her presence heavy despite her light weight. “Is there a reason you're not saying anything? The girls and I were thinking this would have been the perfect gift for you.”
Spike only shook his head. “But, like, are you okay in there?”
His eyes squinted as the words left him. The impulsive to smack his skull with his own claw became strong. But he kept himself together. Leaning to the left, he realized the box was sitting on his lap, with the love of his life in the center of it.
“Are you worried about me? Well isn't that sweet!” Rarity stopped leaning, raising the hand on her hip up to him. “I do suppose that dispels some of my fears about doing this.” She shook her head, the miniature bounces of her purple mane nearly lost to the giant's eyes. “I don't suppose you could take me out of this box sometime soon? Being shifted along these cardboard walls and floor were, well, not the proper place for a proper lady... if you understand what I mean.”
Spike gulped. “A-And how do I do that?”
Even at her small size, he could see her eyebrow arching up. “By picking me up with your claw, darling. That's the whole point me being your gift—but try to be careful with your talons, okay?”
Spike nodded his head while the rest of his body shivered with hesitation. Never before had he thought he'd get to touch the great and beautiful Rarity, but now, he was going to hold her whole body in the palm of his claw. It was both a great and horrible situation.
And the beat of the dragon's heart was confused.
He scooped his claw into the box, never feeling so self-conscious that part of him before, seeing the little white figure take a few steps back once he entered. Resting the back of his claw on the cardboard, he held open his palm, waiting.
And waiting.

Spike blinked. “Aren't you, uh, going to get on?”
Rarity only crossed her arms and looked up at him. She stood by the tip of his index talon, it rising up high before her. The rest of his palm to the expanse of his arm utterly dwarfed her, this tiny thing standing before a gentle giant.
“I said to pick me up, Spike.” She glared up at him. “Where the fun if I just climb on your palm? Be a dear and... grab me, darling!”
Spike found his heart working double time with the turn of events. Doing his best to take deep breaths, he raised his claw, bringing it over to the tiny girl. It felt strange for a small part of him to suddenly become so big against something, or rather, someone else living.
He watched that as his claw drew closer to her, that Rarity started to take a few steps back like her body was acting on auto-pilot. There was something about the way she stared at his claw, at how it dwarfed her, at how it was about to grab and capture her that sent a different kind of shiver down Spike's spine.
And then he watched as her tiny back pressed again the wall of the box. Seeing her pressed against it was oddly cute, especially when she stared up at his giant face afar from her own. Still, she nodded up at him, and Spike finally did what he was told.
He let his palm press against the front of her body, slightly closing his eyes while he did so, doing his best to ignore the... softness he felt rubbing and flattening against his scales. Slowly, his long talons wrapped around her small figure, like one might a doll or action figure—only this one stirred, moved, and breathed in his grasp.
Spike then pulled Rarity out of the box, doing his best to keep the process slow, while at the same time, a little excited to see the tiny girl up close.
“Surely a slow start to a roller coaster.” Rarity leaned back in his grasp. His palm had wrapped around her exposed back, his thumb just below her cleavage, his other talons wrapped around her right side, holding all the way down to her right thigh. “Though if you plan on suddenly dropping me at any point, I'll refund this whole experience on the spot!”

He had to tighten his hold on her at once, the very fact he could pin her so easily driving another shiver to course through his body. “Being held in the claw of a big and dangerous dragon just... oh... you simply do not know how great it feels, Spikey!”
Spike dipped his titanic muzzle to just below her body, gazing up at her from there. She came out more defined that way. Like a sexy little doll with exact details. “Oh my... you really are the handsome one, darling.” Rarity stood at the edge of his claw, gazing off at the monolithic muzzle before her. His eyes were nearly all she could see. His arm was thicker at this size, his bicep bulging while he held her up. “The view of you only gets better the smaller I become.”
“Rarity,” Spike nearly cried, “can you please explain what's going on here? I'm confused in more ways than one. I'm feeling a lot of things right now, and I'm not sure if I'm supposed to.”
Rarity couldn't help but pump a fist above her chest. “So the outfit did look cute on me!” She then quickly shook her head. “Apologies. “Yeah.” Spike rolled his eyes. “Twilight said you'd be popping in later... though I didn't think she meant this.”

One glance is all it takes to see how much you've changed over the years.” She lets her feet dangle over the edge of his contour, pressing her hands into his palm. “We've all felt dreadful horrible about being unable to gift your presents all these years.”
Spike gave her a weak but long smile. “At least you girls know how to throw kick-ass birthday parties.”
“That may have had been enough for the other girls, but it wasn't enough for neither Twilight or myself.” Rarity then turned her head, looking down at his other monolithic arm, it coming to rest on his blurry lap vistas below. “You've been turning into quite the head-turner these last few years. Heh-hmm. I... I know for sure I've been stealing a glance when I can.”
Spike's brow above furrowed. “You mean you're... into dragons?”
“Hmmmm. Not precisely.” Rarity then glanced up at his face, admiring the sharp and tight length of his muzzle. Her gaze then fell on his lips, the right amount of plush to them, each of the scales there looking ever so flexible. “Most of them are ugly brutes or giants without manners.”
Spike's lips quivered—for a total of a second.
“Though you are the exception to that fear.” Rarity smiled up at him, and while she did, her hands reach over her shoulders and down her back. “You've shown me exactly what a dragon is capable of becoming—smart, strong, and sexy.”
Spike struggled to hold the tiny girl up. The weight of her words—and where they were leading to—deprived him of strength. He didn't dare speak. His bottom shifted into the sheets of the bed, feeling them wrinkle underneath him.
“This may be arrogant of me to say, but Spikey... Spike looked unsure at first, but after a moment, nodded his head.
Around her, Rarity watch as his talon rose, like it was constructing a cage with her in the middle. Spike gazed down at her from above, who still seemed in disbelief to be holding his crush in his claw, much less holding her with both. “This won't be any different from our usual hugs, right?”
Rarity smiled. “If that's what helps you, then sure, Spikey.”
Seconds later, the dragon turned his head away, this mighty beast turned wimped, all for the sake of his prey. He wasn't a normal sized dragon, but this situation allowed him to be one, and even then, not a part about him had changed.
And then his claws lurched her forward. Only the top of Rarity's body was exposed above his combined hold, leaving her waist tightly held and contained below, all while her arms pressed against the top of his talons.
Then she was brought to his left pec, the field of purple flexing upon her impact. Rarity giggled at once as the claw held her to it—but it was she herself that threw her body into the land of muscle. When she pressed her cheek against his chest, covering not even an inch of it, she laughed at feeling the shimmering heat beneath the surface—warming her body unlike any other heat source.

Anyway. Some time ago, I was writing a fic, my best fic on this account, by the title of Holy Fuck, I Pissed of A Giant Rainbow Dash. In the comments of that fic, however, someone wrote about how come the lady is never shrunken down. Such things never appealed to me before.
But recently, I've stumbled upon the great art of Sheela on Depri. Aside from NC MARES, they have the best macro art in the fandom—so much so, that I plan to write a fic for most of their micro art. Most of them, hopefully, I can use for cover art.
But one photo caught me off guard. It was Spike clutching a tiny Twilight and Rarity in his claws, and the weird sense of power caught my attention. With this new interest in mind, and that comment lingering in the back of my mind, I've decided to try writing a fic where the lady is small.
And not only that, but in the third person as well.
You can proably tell from the chapter above that I'm still rusty with the third person. I enjoy the first person because the character's voice is much stronger, more reactive, in how they feel about the sexy bits is what really sells the fics to me once I'm done writing them.
To write on the third person, however, is to focus more on the events and the dialogue than the feelings and ideas of a character. This story isn't as good as it should be, but because I'm trying something new, hopefully, I'll gain something to my writing that I haven't had before.

Spike's mouth opened and remained open, a hollowed squeak sounding out.
"Spike," Rarity sang with a flick of her head. "Did you really think I shrunk myself down without considering every facet of this situation? Me, being who I am? And you, being who you are?"
Spike's large face transformed through many pained, confused, and cute expressions that charmed the small girl's heart. She was stacked, and when she shifted, giggling, everything that could jiggle. It was the slightest motion ever known—but the dragon honed on it like a boy would.
"Have you not considered… that underneath it all… that I might be totallyinto that?" Rarity moaned while lowering a hand to her outfit, a hand over her large, clothed breast, which was clung to by the fabric. And then she fell forward, falling into his lips, which cushioned her form, which sank inches into his kiss. Rarity's eyes closed as her face sank into the kiss, feeling the lips pursed and formed around her. It was like she was being taken inward—and didn't care.
Spike held his breath as he kissed the miniature woman back, feeling all of her minuscule weight lean into his lips, which were pursed around her. Everything he felt for Rarity flushed out at that moment. The way he looked at her, the feelings that arose when she dressed in all those different outfits.
The small, everyday events that he cherished, seeing all the little things she would do.
