One year has passed following the fateful Summer Sun Celebration where Nightmare Moon returned to wreak revenge, only to be defeated and reverted back to Princess Luna by the sextet and their newly acquired equipment, the Elements of Harmony; of course, this is not a story about the prodigal princess.

On the other hand, however, this story does feature a different princess, one that this town knows and loves all too well, albeit in a more secluded role despite being in complete control of the situation room with all tasks at hand ready to be performed: of them, happens to be another pony, and a unicorn at that.

Ostensibly, he happens to be at her beck and call, unable to be seen or heard from again should she desire to make that possibility a reality; then again, with the lack of light and framework, not everything is what it seems to be: even her reluctance can be taken into account in the very least of things.
