Author's Note
The ritual sounds like something outlandishly crazy and unrealistic that I made up for porn, but it's actually based on the ancient Chinese Empress Wu Zetian, who supposedly really did do this with courtiers who hadn't sufficiently proven their loyalty to her. There are illustrations and everything.
The "sex textbook" isn't real, but the advice in it most definitely is - an educational clopfic, how about that! I absolutely love giving oral (I hope that comes across in the story!), and those are tips I've picked up over many years, so I wanted to find a way to work them into a story one time.
