Chapters Backwards: A Not so Element of Kindness
"Hi Pinkie Pie!" Rainbow Dash said as Applejack trotted up to her side.
"Oh hey guys!" The pink pony said, standing over some cupcakes.
"What er' ya' doin'?" Applejack tilted her head.
"Oh, just making Fluttershy some cupcakes! I haven't seen her in a while, and, you know, every-pony likes cupcakes! I thought i would bring them over in case she is sick, maybe it will make her feel better, oh what if she was attacked by one of her animals? Or maybe she took a trip, that would be fun, ohhhhh I know! I bet she is having a surprise party!."
"Yeah, I haven't seen her in a few days, from what I've heard, neither have any other pony that I have talked to lately," Rainbow Dash stretched out her wings.
"Oh really? I hope she is okay, when I bring these to her, I'll make sue she isn't having a party without me! Wanna come?"
"Yeah, sure," said both the orange earth pony, and the blue Pegasus.
Soon the three ponies made it to Fluttershy's cottage. Rainbow Dash lifted her hoof to knock on the door, but Pinkie bounced in front of her, and knocked instead, but there was no reply.
"Ew! what in the name of Celestia is that smell!" Rainbow covered her nose with her hoof.
"Probably just one of her animals," Pinkie added.
"Ah've worked with plenty of animals on my farm, and that definitely aint' no animal I recognize, smells worse than pigs!"
Rainbow Dash recognized the smell slightly, but couldn't place it, so she said nothing.Pinkie Pie began banging on the door roughly, but then it hit Rainbow:That's it! that's the smell of blood!
Pinkie gave a nervous glance, The blue pony guess she figured that as well, so Rainbow pushed the party pony aside.
"I will take care of this," Rainbow flew a little ways into the air, and came zooming downwards, she crashed into the door, shattering the wood, she lay there in the remains of the small entrance, but no later got up, wiping the dust off her coat, she noticed that Applejack and Pinkie Pie had entered, and were staring into Fluttershy's living room, not speaking a word, she joined them. Her eyes grew wide as she stopped in her tracks, for in the living room were pools of blood, and droplets of the liquid on the walls, all her animals were laying in the still fresh, and still warm, body fluid found in every living thing, she looked down to see Angel, Fluttershy's pet rabbit, sprawled at her hooves. It was a truly disgusting sight, bloodied, eyes gouged out, it's ears ripped from its small lifeless head. Rainbow Dash knew instantly, something was wrong.
"Wut' in tarnation!" Applejack has a truly disbelieving look on her face.
Pinkie Pie's mouth dropped to the floor.
Rainbow Dash just stared, unable to speak, but Pinkie echoed her thoughts.
"W-where's Fluttershy?"
"I-I..I don't know..." Rainbow Dash answered finally.
"If her animals look like this, then, then, w-what does-"
Rainbow Dash didn't know what to assume, surely their kind friend couldn't have done this all, and surely no one would murder Fluttershy? She never hurt anypony!
"Well? What are we waiting here for? Shouldn't we go tell some-pony?" Said the blue Pegasus sighed, now hovering above the ground with her wings tense. she turned to look at the broken down door to see dusk had already come. The smell was much stronger now, and it pierced Rainbow's nostrils like a bee sting.
"Yeah, let's go, this place is making me nervous!" the pink pony quivered.
"Don't worry sugarcube, I think it's making us all nervous," Applejack pulled a light smile.
"Well I'm not nervous," Rainbow Dash boasted.
Applejack just shot her an annoyed glance.
"Well, maybe just a little," she scratched the back of her head, not making eye contact so they wouldn't see how nervous she really was.
Then, there was a loud creaking noise
Pinkie immediately jumped up and shouted, "Fluttershy's murderer!" and ran upstairs.
Applejack called up to her as Rainbow rolled her eyes, "Pinkie come back down here, it was just the wind... I think," but Pinkie remained.
The blue pony looked at her, then the staircase, "I suppose we should go see if she is okay..."
"Er, yeah, we should..."
"You go first," Rainbow prompted.
"Why? ya' scared? "Applejack teased.
"Never! I uh, just wanna be in the back in case her murderer comes from behind, so I uh, can protect us. Yeah! that's it! So I can protect us!"
Applejack laughed, "You know Rainbow, your a very bad liar!"
"Oh fine!" The blue Pegasus landed on the first step, and began walking upwards cautiously, Applejack following.
Then there was a scream, and a horrible menacing laugh, unrecognizable from anything they had heard before, Rainbow Dash spread her wings and flew as fast as she could up the stairs, Applejack ran behind her. When they reached the top, and turned the corner to see a yellow figure standing over Pinkie's motionless(for the first time in her life probably) bloodied body, which was forming in a pool of blood, still warm and fresh, filling the air with a tangy scent, just like downstairs.
But the pony over her, with a knife in her mouth, a crazed look in her eyes of which were different sizes, and blood on her hooves, was someone she recognized, it was Fluttershy.

This couldn't be the pony she knew, the pony who represented the element of kindness? But sure enough it was.
Applejack ran to Pinkie, the pastel color pony who's laughter was always there, no longer was breathing air, which made her heart sink.
Rainbow Dash turned a corner to find that Fluttershy has disappeared, but no, this wasn't Fluttershy, it couldn't be?
The mad pony retrieved it and flung it at Rainbow, it only scathed her hoof, but it would have hit her head if she didn't move in time. now they were backing to the wall, as Fluttershy pulled out another knife, and began to speak.
"Fluttershy doesn't *TWITCH* like animals!" Rainbow Dash flinched as the pony continued, "Fluttershy kill animals!"
"B-but we're your friends!" Applejack stuttered.
"No animals friends of mine!" Fluttershy was within inches of them, but Applejack bucked her backwards, the yellow pony sprawled on the ground.
"How will we get out?" Applejack stammered.
"Duh!" Rainbow fluttered her wing and broke the large window, crashing through the glass, scratching her a little, but she wasn't hurt to badly.
Without another word the two shot off, Rainbow flying through the air, and Applejack running down below her. But not long after Fluttershy appeared, chasing after them with the knife in her mouth, calling out to them, "I will get you! All animals i know will die!"
Rainbow couldn't help wondering if when she said animals, she might mean Twilight Sparkle and Rarity also, but she knew for sure, "She's definitely not gonna stop until we are all dead! Including me an Applejack...No! ESPECIALLY me and Applejack!"
Rainbow Dash looked down to see Fluttershy gaining on Applejack. After all, Rainbow was the fastest flyer in Equestria, she was bound to be faster than Applejack who was just an earth pony. She saw Fluttershy fly right above Applejack, and then she jammed her knife into AJ's back, causing her to fall.
"No!" Rainbow called out, but it was no use, her friend was struggling to get back up, but there was no point since the knife had pierced her spinal column, paralyzing her lower half to move, but instead of Fluttershy killing Applejack, she grabbed the knife, flung it at Rainbow Dash, and guess what, she didn't miss. It stabbed her wing, causing her to comes crashing to the ground.
Fluttershy landed next to her, with an evil look on her face, she then pierced her other wing, Rainbow sent out a blood curdling scream, unable to fly away. but before she could get up, Fluttershy slammed her hoof on her chest, knocking the wind out of the Pegasus.
The blue pony gasped for air, as she watched Fluttershy unravel a piece of rope that was tied to her yellow hoof. Soon she had tied Rainbow up, her legs unable to move, she then dragged her over to Applejack, who was wincing in pain.
She yanked the knife from her wing, then began laughing, and slowly, and lightly running the tip of the knife blade down Rainbow's neck. She was breathing hard, and couldn't move. Was this going to be the end of her life?
"Wait!*TWITCH* Fluttershy know something better! What more painful than watching friend die, THEN you die yourself?" she giggled menacingly and stepped over to AJ, whose eyes were wide with fear.
"F-Fluttershy? It's me! Applejack!"
The insane yellow pony growled. The full moon was out, stars shinning. The light of the round disc glinted off the bloody knife blade.
"Nonsense!"
Rainbow Dash jumped at the sudden noise of which she didn't expect.
"Fluttershy knows no Applejack! Why would she know an animal?" Without another word, she stabbed the knife into Applejack's chest. Blood spurted out, splattering the faces of Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash.
The Blood of her friend mixed with the tears that were dropping off her cheeks. She laid her chin in the dirt, as some of her friend's blood pooled around it. More tears ran down, swirling wildly with the hot, sticky liquid. Her lip was quivering, the usually brave, head-strong, and yes, arrogant, blue pony felt hopeless, she couldn't move, and two of her closest friends had been murdered, and another had gone insane.
Applejack coughed up blood, Fluttershy's mad gaze was fixed on the flowing red liquid, until she began to sing...
"Rest well, sleep well, you will never wake again..."
Over and over the song was repeated, it seemed to echo around Rainbow's mind. She turned to give one more look at her friend, just in time to see her green eyes close, and never would they reopen. When she saw this, she couldn't look any longer, she shut her eyes tight, and clenched her teeth. she was thinking about all the fun times she had had with Pinkie Pie and Applejack, and there was a threat she would need to start thinking about Rarity and Twilight too. Her thoughts were broken when Fluttershy stopped singing, and began to speak.
"Don't worry *TWITCH* there will be more fun tomorrow!" She laughed menacingly.
Rainbow's eyes shot open, Fluttershy began to drag her back to her small cottage, she just left Applejack laying there...but of course she didn't forget the knife!
The dirt and rocks on the ground cut at the blue pony's coat, and she was left with many scratches and bruises. They made it back to the house, but instead of finding some other way to enter, the yellow Pegasus dragged Rainbow through the broken glass. She winced as they made it through the window, where many pieces where still attached to the bottom half of the window.
"You will stay in room!" The yellow pony dragged her up the stairs, and then into a room, right in front of Pinkie's body.
The door slammed shut, and she heard the sound of a door being locked, she then began to try UN-tieing herself, but there was no use. Rainbow didn't want to go to sleep, she was scared of what would happen if she did, but soon sleep overtook her, and she swirled into an uncertain darkness.

A few days before this all happened, Fluttershy was in her cottage feeding her animals. As usual Angel wouldn't eat, but instead of being stubborn, the rabbit bit her. Fluttershy was so upset by this, it made her cry, for she thought she had always taken good care of her animals, but yet, her kindness let her relax, she pushed the bowl of fresh greens, but the rabbit bit her again, all her other animals usually were content with this food, but angel wanted a fancy dinner of pureed' carrot soup with a fresh green salad of olive oil and vinegar, and to top it off for dessert, he wanted carrot flavored ice cream with of course whip cream and a cherry on top.
Fluttershy being who she was, made it, and forgot to add the whip cream, so the rabbit bit her again, but what she didn't notice was that her other animals stopped eating, they saw if they bit her, they would get what they wanted!
So when Fluttershy finished Angel's lunch, she began to feed the rest of the animals, and when she tried to get them to eat, did they? No! the bit her, and kept nipping her, not to rough though, until she made them all what they wanted.
Fluttershy was now covered in scratches and bites, and slowly began to want to slap an animal, so the next day, when Angel bit her, Fluttershy smacked the little rabbit, but then regretting what she did, she ran back to the rabbit, and rubbed Angel until he calmed down, so she fed him the usual fresh greens, but instead of eating, he bit her again, she was angered by this, which was kinda strange since Fluttershy will take almost anything and still be happy. But then she remembered Iron Will.
How he showed her not to be used as a doormat, and she began to feel more like the way she was that day, and slowly felt her normal kind appearance slip.
Her other animals tried nipping her to get what they wanted, but she did yell at them, and hit them, but again she came crying to them for forgiveness.
But at dinner, since she made Angel his special meal, another one of the rabbit came up to him, and Angel bit him, but the other rabbit bit back.
The two rabbits began fighting, and since Angel was fed larger meals, he was stronger, and the smaller rabbit lost, but he lost with his life.
Fluttershy came in the room, and saw Angel leaning over the other bunny, Fluttershy lost it, she did keep her sanity, but her anger seethed over, she began yelling loudly, frightening the other animals, she then hit Angel worse than any of the other times she hit the animals.
But this time, she didn't cower to him.
She left the cottage, growling to the other animals, leaving Angel curled up in the corner. She didn't feed them for a week, something was wrong, she always cared for her animals, and she never acted like this, what was wrong with her? When she came back 7 days of no food, a lot of the animals had basically resulted to cannibalism, only a few remained, including Angel. The bunnies where the ones mainly preyed upon since they didn't have taste for blood, so the hawks and Falcons, and other animals like that where thriving, all accept Angel, who was still alive, she was so close to loosing it.
She screamed at the remaining ones, that they shouldn't have done that, they should have just eaten their food, but what she said made no sense, she didn't give them any food, she began to forget things, all she remembered was she hated her animals, and she had no friends, she didn't remember any-pony.
Every one she saw, they all looked like animals to her, she didn't recognize anyone. But with only a few animals left, she freaked, and began attacking her animals, it was not her, something was wrong, I know she thought this multiple times, but something WAS wrong.
She began tearing the animals apart, limb by limb,all accept Angel. She didn't feel right, instead of dreading it, she enjoyed it!
So every time an animal got near her, she killed it, every time she SAW an animal, she killed it, every time she saw her friends, she freaked, and when Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, and Applejack came, all she saw were the animals that killed each other, drove her insane, and took advantage of her kindness, so she wanted them to feel all the pain she felt when they took advantage of her.
But why did she want to do this?
That night she went to sleep, she dreamed of being one of the animals being attacked, Angel killed her.
She jumped out of her bed, now terrified, and angered, she couldn't control the rage inside of her, which was strange,
She ran downstairs, to the only animal left was angel. She grinned at him menacingly, she grabbed a knife that was laid out on the kitchen table, that was used for chopping carrots.
She leaped on him, she gouged out his eyes, the blood spurting in her face, but she laughed and giggled. The sockets that once contained his whole eye, now looked like a piece of bloodied puss which lay in the cavity.
When she finished, she of course, sang to him the sad, eerie words.
"Rest well, sleep well, you will never wake agaaaaaaain..." she had let herself fall to the evil that rests inside every one, just waiting to be released, sometimes it is released, and sometimes it isn't.
But that was the case of Fluttershy, she subdued to it, and now will she turn away? Or be stuck in a lifeless eternity of rage and horror?

Waking
Rainbow Dash woke with a dizzy head, her vision was blurred. Luckily the bleeding in her wing stopped, though she didn't feel like that was an improvement. Having blood to stop pouring out of your body won't change the fact your trapped, your friend has gone insane, your normal friends will die, and when they are all dead, you will die yourself.
She looked up to notice a blurry figure laying a little ways off from her, she squinted to notice it was Rarity!
"Rarity! Oh Rarity I'm so glad to see y-" then the thought hit her, if Rarity's here, then Fluttershy must really mean to kill us all!
The white unicorn's head rose.
"Huh? Rainbow Dash! What has happened? Fluttershy invited me over, then she hit me really hard..and now I'm here, what is going on?"
The blue Pegasus paused, she didn't want to answer that, how do you tell your friend she is about to be murdered?
"Well...Fluttersh-" Rainbow started, but the door flung open. Standing there was the crazed yellow pony whose face was covered in dried blood, Rainbow assumed it was Applejack's from last night.
"Fluttershy see animals have awoken! now more fun!" she twitched and laughed.
"Fluttershy dear! Your mane! It really needs some work, what is going on though? why are we in here?"
"Why does animal talk to me as if i were friend? Fluttershy hates animals!" just then she slashed the knife that was in her hoof across Rarity's face, the blood shot across the room, and the knife she had used on the other ponies, now had new blood.
Rarity's gasp for air was cut short when she saw a glimpse of Fluttershy clasping her hooves around her neck. The unicorn shot a ball of energy from her horn, it hit Fluttershy in the head, and knocked her off, but the mad yellow pony was back to her hooves and was charging for her again, when the unicorn shot at her, the Pegasus flew into the air, and landed on Rarity's back. The white pony's knees buckled and she feel down, her horn pointed away so she couldn't shoot at Fluttershy again.
Her mad gaze swept over her, and she ran her hooves toward the white unicorn's neck, gripping it with a force that could not be matched with any of the white pony's mad thrashing to free herself, until slowly her kicking became weaker, until she could no longer fight anymore.
The blue pony didn't mean to open her eyes, she wanted them to stay shut, but they opened again to watch Rarity's eyes roll upwards in her head, they were only round white discs, glazed with tears that seemed to seep into the wood floor.
The yellow Pegasus pony's grins grew larger, and she began to sing again, "Rest well, sleep well you will never wake again..."
the song seemed to echo in Rainbow's mind just like night before, she tried to push the sight of her friends bloody bodies laying limp underneath Fluttershy's hooves, but sometimes, things happen and you can't always forget them, but this was impossible to forget, she didn't even think she would live long enough to have a chance to forget anyways...
The pain was too much to bear, she had now lost 3 of her friends, only Twilight Sparkle and herself were left, but Twilight had stronger magic, couldn't she do something about it?
"Only you and your other animal friend left! but don't worry, I will wait a few days until then, so the pain of this all happening can seep into your sad animal mind!"
The mad pony slammed the door shut and locked it, Rainbow Dash began to cry, but a few minutes later she heard the door open again, and the Pegasus came back.
Rainbow's eyes widened.
It donned on the blue pony what she was doing when Fluttershy grabbed Rarity by the horn.
The pony was hanging up her trophy just like she did with Pinkie and AJ while she was asleep.
Fluttershy held up one of Rarity's hooves and nailed it to the wall. Rainbow Dash clamped her eyes shut, she heard the nails go in four times, one for each hoof, she didn't want to see it, but she heard it, and she couldn't stop that from happening.
The yellow pony laughed after she seemed to have finished, since Rainbow hadn't heard the hammer in a while.
She heard the clopping of hooves as Fluttershy left for the door, and of course, she locked it.
Rainbow waited a while, and then opened her eyes again to look in a different direction, she had to get away, there was a window, but how could she get to it if she was tied up? The cyan mare yelled, hoping some one would hear her, though she knew that would never happened. Fluttershy lived away from anyone's house, she lived next to the Everfree forest! But there had to be some way she could escape, right?

Twilight Sparkle was of course, reading a book as usual. It had been a while since she had seen any of her friends, and strangely enough she figured her book could wait, she was going to see her friends.
The unicorn put up her book, and headed towards the door. When she opened it, she found Fluttershy waiting outside.
Slightly surprised since she didn't expect this, she stuttered, "Oh, um, hey Fluttershy, I was just going out to see you and the other 4, was there something you needed?"
"Oh no, Fluttershy was just hoping you would come for a visit! Me and the other animals are having fun, Fluttershy wanted you to come to," her voice was not lowered as, and she did not hide her other eye behind her pink mane, her coat was not cleaned, it had dirt in it. Her eyes were bloodshot, and she wasn't cowering, as usual.
"Um, sure? But, what are you doing, if I may ask?"
"Oh nothing really, me and the blue and rainbow bird were just talking, and the white horse with the horn was playing Celestia says with the orange deer! I don't know how they did it, but they ended up hanging on the wall," she began to grin.
"Oh..um, do you mean Rainbow Dash, Rarity, and Applejack?"
"I don't know who you are talking about..but okay, if you say that's who they were, they were that," she began to become slightly uneasy.
Twilight looked confused, but Fluttershy was always talking about weird animals she had found, maybe that's all it was...but a blue and rainbow bird?
"Yeah, sure I'll come Fluttershy," she stepped outside of her tree house, following behind the pony.
She saw Berry Punch stop to say hi to Fluttershy, but the yellow pony didn't seem to notice her, the confused magenta mare left.
Fluttershy was definitely acting strangely, but maybe she decide not to act so, well, shy. But that didn't explain why she was talking in third person language, and speaking of animals that sounded just like her friends.
After a while they had made it to her cottage, but the Pegasus stopped walking at the fallen tree that blocked the doorway.
"Yes, Fluttershy have fun with animals, she want to have fun with you to!" the pony turned around, and in her mouth was a long knife, it's blade covered in a dark red liquid which was Rarity's from earlier that morning, and Twilight didn't know that of course.
"F-Fluttershy, w-what are you doing?"
"Simple, Fluttershy hurt the animals that hurt her!"
"But I never hurt you!"
"All animals hurt Fluttershy, so Fluttershy hurt them back!" instead of using the knife, she dropped it, and turned around again, Twilight, very confused, didn't move, she felt frozen in her steps, why couldn't she move!
The pony bent down and picked up a rock with her mouth, kinda odd, but she did. Before she had time to react, the yellow Pegasus had turned and flung the rock at her head with a force of strength unexpected.
Twilight stood there for a moment, still shocked, but she soon felt a little lightheaded, and of course, dizzy. she didn't feel her hooves anymore, she couldn't see clearly, but she could feel the blood dripping down the side of her face where the rock had hit. Slowly the feeling left her whole legs, and then her body, only the thing keeping her from going into sleep was her mind, still trying to fight it, but she couldn't keep that much longer. The uncertain darkness of sleep was not what she wanted, definitely not after all that had happened before this, but sometimes you can't fight everything, she began to feel her senses slowly leave her mind...

The room was silent, well, almost silent...Rainbow Dash had been pushed to the limit, where the slightest noise would drop her into terror. Her eyes shot open to see the ceiling of the same room she had been kept into for about a week now...She didn't have reasoning to keep track of time, time meant nothing to her, all she wanted was to get her friends back, and be free of this horror story.
She was greeted with the uneven dripping sound, coming from inside the room. Her mind swirled at all the thoughts of what it could possibly be...Blood dripping from another dead friend, water being poured into some kinda tub so she could be drowned, maybe some kind of torture that she didn't know of....Whatever it was, she was sure it wasn't a good thing.
She craned her neck out to look around, only to see the same walls of Fluttershy's, no, this was NOT Fluttershy, this, this, thing's house. She flinched when she saw a shadow under the door, her ears pinned back. It was coming for her!
The click of locks were sounded, when the door began to slowly creak open. All she saw was a blurry shape of purple and yellow. The lack of sleep had made her dreary, and often dizzy. Her sight was blurred, and her thoughts were blinded by fear.
A Loud thud caught her off guard when the purple mass was dropped onto the floor, it was Twilight!
Immediately, before the yellow Pegasus could see she was awake, she ducked down, pretending she was still asleep, hopefully that would buy her another 30 minutes, if she was lucky, maybe an hour.
Hearing hoof steps, and the click of a lock, she shot her head back up, and began to wriggle with all the strength she had left to Twilight, obviously the mad pony didn't think about her horn, or her magic within it.
Nudging Twilight with her muzzle, soon the unicorn opened her eyes, and turned to see the cyan Pegasus, she was truly a sight. Her mane was unkempt, and matted with what appeared to be blood. Her cheeks were stained with tears, and her eyes bloodshot, with dark rings underneath them, due to hardly any good sleep. Her cyan blue coat...it was still blue, but dirty and red spots spattered it. She looked utterly hopeless, no longer the brave, adventurous, impatient, and head-strong dare devil that Twilight knew.
"R-rainbow?" she stuttered, shaking her head, trying to send away the dizziness.
"Oh, Twilight! you have to get us out of here, use your crazy magic stuff, and untie me!" she flinched when she thought she heard a stomp. "Hurry, and stay quiet, or she'll hear you!" Rainbow Dash's eyes were wide, and her tone was now a low whisper.
"I know, it's a horrible sight, I watched them all to their deaths, they were great ponies, but we will end up like them if we don't hurry!" Her voice raised into a accidental squeal, and she noticed a loud clicking noise, Fluttershy was coming.
Twilight knew immediately what to do, her horn glowing brighter than she had thought possible. The clicking of the locks on the door made Rainbow's heart race.
She felt the bright light of Twilight's horn engulf her into the slightest bit of calmness, she felt she had hope, no longer completely fearful. She clamped her eyes shut, and gritted her teeth when she heard Fluttershy screech in anger.
She noticed that she could no longer see her hooves, that they were disappearing, and Twilight's eyes were white, within a few moments, she found herself in the purple unicorn 's library, no more Fluttershy, no more fear, no more blood, no more death....
Her eyes gleam as she looked up to her only living friend...Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rarity...And Fluttershy was just down right insane...She felt all her personality return, but the cyan Pegasus's eyes were glazed with tears in mourning of her friends. Twilight said nothing, just put a hoof on her back.
There was silence for a while, until the unicorn smiled, and looked her in the eyes, and spoke what she wanted to hear, "Don't worry, they will always be with us, no matter if we can see them or not, we will get Fluttershy back..."
Rainbow Dash replied with a smile, and she leaned forward to hug the unicorn. Her eyes closed tight.
Rainbow pulled away after a few moments, and she could have sworn by her life, that she saw three silvery shapes, of pink, orange, and white, sitting in the room with them...

Twilight had set her in the extra bed, after wrapping up her wings from the knife that had pierced them, keeping Rainbow Dash from flying, and letting her wash up.
She hadn't been in something so comfortable in what seemed for ages. Within moments she was asleep.
Twilight sighed, her friend had seemed to return to her normal attitude, but they knew they would have to either call the police on their friend who had gone insane, or she could try to fix it with her memory spell...but would she be doing a favor to the yellow Pegasus? How would the shy pony be able to live with such a horrible memory...But she couldn't let her live on like this, she would just keep trying to kill everypony!
The purple unicorn was at a loss in her mind, she didn't want to fall asleep, what if Fluttershy came back while they rested? She would have to stay up the night, but with how fearful she was now, and all the thoughts racing through her mind, there was no doubt she wouldn't have trouble staying up.
Rainbow Dash sat up, rubbing her eyes awake, she hadn't slept so well in days.
Rainbow sat up in 2 seconds flat, with a loud sigh, she found herself back on the bed in Twilight's library.
Her heart still pounding, she felt like it would jump out of her chest, she stuttered, "Y-yes, I-I i am fine..."
Twilight sat down next to her, "Don't worry, I know, but we will get you to the doctor, maybe they can help with the trauma you endured."
The Pegasus paused, her cocky attitude coming back, "I don't need to go to the doctor! I am perfectly fine..." she shrugged.
Twilight suppressed a giggle, and hugged her, "That's the Rainbow Dash I know!"
Twilight was still worried that she had left Rainbow alone at the house, but she fought the thoughts away, she would be fine...
Slowly making her way through the broken window, careful to dodge the glass that covered the ground. She slowly made her way into the crazed Pegasus's house. She knew she had to save her friend, surely the memory spell would work.
She kept her eyes wide, looking in every direction for the pink-maned pony.
After she had checked every room down stairs, and accidentally bumping into a table, she crept up the stairs, she smell of death and dried blood was petrifying, it made her throat burn, and her eyes water, she wanted to cover her muzzle with her hoof, but that would obscure her vision, and she needed that most of all.
When she made it to the top of the staircase, she noticed that the door where her and Rainbow were kept was open, and a gnarling sound came from inside.
Swallowing, she stepped inside the door. She froze in her tracks when she saw the yellow pony turn away from the hung bodies of her friends. Her mouth and face were red, and blood dripped from it.
Fluttershy grinned, revealing pieces of flesh and bone stuck in the crevices of her now crimson-red teeth.
Maggots fell from the carcass and squirmed on the floor, flies were everywhere, feeding off the dead ponies like Fluttershy.
It was a truly disturbing sight, Twilight fought the urge to turn and run, or even bark, she was about to give in when she saw her friends strung on the wall again. It gave her the strength and bravery to step forward, towards the crazed Pegasus she knew as Fluttershy.
Instead of coming for her, it stepped backwards.
Twilight's horn began to glow, lavender purple, she stepped closer.
Fluttershy screeched, she didn't even sound like a normal pony, more like an animal.
Twilight was now inches away from her, and she leaned forward to touch her horn to the Pegasus.
Rainbow Dash was clutching her pillow. She knew her friend had left to save Fluttershy, but she felt helpless, and alone.
The cyan Pegasus stepped off her bed, and slowly made it down stairs, pain seared through her with every step.
Slowly out of the door, and into the streets. But when she saw ponies, instead of the ones she knew, they appeared like a gory version of Fluttershy, only with the shape of who they were. Their eyes sockets were black holes in their heads, with a red liquid oozing out. An evil grin from ear to ear was sneered across their faces.
She saw Mrs. Cake, only it wasn't, she had a light pink mane, and a yellow coat. Blue eyes, and a devilish grin. She was spattered with blood, Rainbow Dash ran away, heading farther into town, leaving a confused Mrs. Cake.
Fear engulfed her, running, every step sending pain through her, but her fear pushed her on, not knowing what to do.
She bumped into the Cutie Mark Crusaders.
"Hi Rainbow Dash!" Scootaloo smiled, her eyes brimming with excitement.
That pushed Rainbow to the limit, she screamed and flung her hoof at the little filly, knocking her away.
"R-Rainbow Dash? ow!" The filly ran her hoof down a scratch on her side.
Rainbow Dash, leaned backwards into a wall, as the other two stepped towards her, "What's wrong Rainbow?" Apple Bloom twisted her head sideways.
"S-stay away from me!" she yelled.
Twilight's horn touched the crazed Pegasus's forehead, it was screeching and yelling, pinned against the wall.
A few seconds later, she stepped backwards. Twilight smiled, hoping to be greeted by the kind, shy, and nice Fluttershy she knew.
"Fluttershy will kill you!" it screeched.
Twilight's smile turned into a look of horror.
It didn't work.

"Rainbow Dash? Are you okay?" Sweetie belle stepped forward.
"I said get away from me!"
All the cyan blue mare could see were evil grins, blood, and the yellow Pegasus that murdered her friends. Clamping her eyes shut, she stepped back, into the wall.
Twilight pinned her ears back, and began to slowly stalk backwards, with her face twisted in a look of shock and fear.
"You try to kill Fluttershy!" the crazed pony screeched.
"N-no! I was trying to help you!" Twilight stuttered, creeping towards the door, not loosing eye contact with the Pegasus.
"Help? No animal helps Fluttershy!" she charged forward.
Twilight was to panic stricken to think, but in time she had shot a ball of energy at the yellow mare, and turned and began to run.
"It's alright Rainbow, we'll help you, whats' wrong?" Apple Bloom asked anxiously, helping Scootaloo up.
"I said leave me alone!" She ran towards them.
The three fillies screamed, and shot off in different directions. They turned towards where Rainbow Dash ran off to, only to see a rainbow tail lashing in the wind, and a dust trail behind her.
Twilight ran down the stairs, almost tripping and stumbling as her hooves ran frantically in any direction most opposite to Fluttershy.
She could hear her behind her, panting like a mad dog.
Closing her eyes for a moment, she reopened them, to find her self leaping out the window. Stopping, giving her a few seconds of time to focus, her horn began to glow. A bright light engulfed her, and she soon found herself in the library, with a light echoing of the mad screech that the crazed pony had yelled after her.
Dash ran through town in a mad frenzy, screaming as every turn she made, she saw more and more of the yellow Pegasus in a gory state. Her senses were leaving her mind, she felt as if at anytime, she would truly loose it.
Her heart pounding, she saw the library in sight, a slight bit of fear released itself.
But a few moments after feeling calm, something crashed into her, she was sure it was Fluttershy!
Twilight sighed in relief, and slowly made her way to where Rainbow Dash was left sleeping. Entering the room, she let out a soft sentence, intended to keep her calm, hoping not to scare her.
There was no reply.
"R-rainbow Dash?"
Still no reply.
"Rainbow!"
Twisting her head, with her heart thudding, she saw a yellow Pegasus with a familiar grin, and a red spattered face.
Screaming, she thrashed her hooves around, knocking the pony off her.
"Rainbow Dash! I'm so-" the pony thudded against the ground. It was Derpy Hooves.
"Stay away from m-me!" she stepped backwards.
Derpy stepped towards her, "Are you okay Rainbow Dash?"
"I'm fine, now get away!" she glanced down to see a rock at her hooves, but quickly glanced back at the Pegasus.
Twilight frantically ran down the stairs. Running towards the door, she tripped over a book she had left out, falling in front of the window, she saw the cyan blue mare standing with Derpy Hooves. The grayish mare was confused, and she noticed Rainbow had a rock in her hoof, with her ears backwards.
"Rainbow!" she yelled, and quickly got up, and began to run to the door again. Wrapping her hoof on the handle, she opened the door to see Rainbow Dash, standing back from the mail pony, with a bloodied rock at her hoof, and a pool of crimson forming around the limp mare's head.
Rainbow Dash stared down at the Pegasus, who now looked nothing like Fluttershy, but now was the normal mail pony, Derpy Hooves. She stared in shock, but turned up to look at Twilight. Without knowing it, the words slipped her mouth.
"She wouldn't leave me alone...."
