//-------------------------------------------------------// A War for a Filly -by Bro Dash- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Home //-------------------------------------------------------// Home Octavia stared out the window, as if knowing he would walk by and wave, walking in the door which was not far after. Just, to see him walk in. Their little filly was sitting in front of the moderate sized television set, watching intently, a colorful cartoon show play. She didn't laugh, she didn't move, she just watched with a smile. It had been a month since he said he'd be back. It made Octavia feel lonely. And it worried her. Asfira was always that dull colored filly that woke Octavia up each morning, a happy smile, a silver coat, dark brown mane... A bundle of joy which Octavia was glad to have. A loud explosion and a crash, the one stallion which was on her mind burst through the door, landing with his back against the wall, on the opposite side of the house. It caught both their attention, as the door was in pieces, and Doctor Whooves was clearing covered in a veil of steam. "Rask!", Octavia called, movign from ehr spot. "Daddy!", the little filly called, running to the stallion. Both hurrying over to the Doctor, he stopped them, standing up quickly, then ran back outside. As Octavia got to the door, the brown stallion was gone, a smoking square in the middle of the grass not far from where they were. "So, Asfira, how was your first few days of school?" Both turned around to see Doctor Whooves walk out of the kitchen, wearign two saddle bags, full of something. "Daddy! How did you do that? That was so cool!", the little filly ran over and hugged him. "Good to see you too." "You could at least fix the broken door, you know.", Octavia interrupted, approaching the doctor. "What broken door?" Octavia pointed to the front door. "It's perfectly fine, dear." Octavia looked at the large brown rectangle, then back at the doctor. "Rask, I want to know how you do that, why you crashed through it, and what was that loud bang?" "Really? Yous till remember? Oh, yes, that's right, you stepped inside a couple hundred years ago, that makes sense. Well, I think it shoudl be known to you that the explosion never happened, the door was never blasted in by an equestrian cannonball, and, I most certainly don't like missing my little filly's first few days of school." "Oh, you make me love you more with every word!", Octavia hugged him. "Good to see you again, too, love. So, has she actually started her first few days of school,, or did I step in another month too early?" "She hasn't started school yet, but she will." "Oh, then I guess I have to disappear for anotehr month!" "Rask!" "I'm only joking! God, it took me twenty years to track down that time wyrm. Twenty years, and htat's just being modest to the time wyrm itself. Lovely pets, they can be, but very nasty if they get angry." "Oh, I have no idea what you are talking about." "I know, just letting you think of my travels through time again." "you travel through time?!", Asfira gasped. "Oh, that's right, I never told you of the Tardis, time travel, and neither of you even know how old I am! How, wonderful. I am officially, one thousand years old! As of three years ago. So far, it's been one heck of a ride, and I am craving something wonderful." "So, what are you going to make now? A styrofoam sandwich?" "They have those? Are they good?" "No, they don't, it's just an expression." "Well, I bet it might be a bit off my menu, anyway. No, I meant spending tiem with family." "You won't bring us to a lava planet again, will you?" "Oh, no, somethign mroe fun! I know it's not very impressive, but I have absolutely no money with me, and last time you told me, you haven't been working well since she came along. Something about your posture?" "It's nothing to worry about anymore. A bit of time working out, and I fixed it all myself. I jsut have to take a few extra precautions. So, if you wish to have fun, where did you have in mind?" "I would say an R-A-V-E, but she's too young, actually, they have those for small children in the future. By about a thousand years, pretty interesting. Now, I had in mind a better place. How would you like to meet the princesses as little fillies like you, Asfira?" "What! You can do that?" "With my blue box we can!" "Oh, no. I don't want her walking in that thing at all." "Oh, quit panicking. I'm a time lord, being her father should be a bigger concern than bringing her in the Tardis. Really, the time lords which had children, had bigger problems than the universe never existing again unless they fixed it themselves." "How is that even possible?" "Problems with tiem streams veering too close to blackholes, the director-" "No, I mean, how is her being your child, a big problem?" "Well, I wanted to keep this quiet from the beginning, never let it out, but she's heard enough, she understands it as mucha s I do, and more than you. Isn't that right, my little filly?", Doctor Whooves turned to Asfira, who had taken a seat next to him. "Oh, every word, especially the part about the time main stream going haywire, because the gravity of a blackhole even effects ligth and time, as mucha s it does space." Octavia's mouth dropped. "Simply put, our little filly is officially a rocket scientist already! But for study purposes, and helping her to fit in mroe..." Whooves took his sonic screwdriver from teh saddle bag and sonic'd Asfira, then replaced it in the saddle bag. "There, now she won't remember a thing said before, except for casual talk, I did it once before, and it kept her from buildign a rocket, so no more worries.", Whooves said qietly to Octavia. "When are we going to see the princesses, daddy?", Asfira asked. "Now, or rather in two seconds. I found otu something new that I can do with my blue box, love!" turning around, Whooves drew his screw driver again and drew a rectanlge on the wall, then pushed the wall open like a door, entering a small blue box interior. He opened up a door on the other side, makign a short blue hallway which opened to a large courtyard where two fillies were bouncing around, playing together. As the three stepped through, they were surrounded by fifteen royal guards, who stood at a strong attention position. "Halt!", the lead shouted. "Oh, hello, you must be the captain, of guarding the two princesses. No need to worry, I'm the Doctor." The captain raised an eyebrow. Letting Asfira run off to play, Doctor Whooves turned to the captain, who smiled at him. "It's still good to see an old friend of Commander Hurricane, but, uh, you still haven't explained why you, an earth pony, befriended the leader of the pegasi before Hearthwarming." "Oh, very carefully. To befriend someone who hates your guts is something which takes the right words, mind, and even the right strategy." "You say that like you fought him." "Well, more or less, until we made a deal." Whooves turned to look at teh fillies, but saw only an empty courtyard. "Oh...Oh this is not right, weren't there the princesses and my little filly there earlier?" "What?", the captain said. "Octavia, please tell me you were watching the fillies." "I...I wasn't. I was paying attention to what you had to say, I mean, didn't one of the guards have somethign to see? Weren't they watching? At least one watch the three play?!" "Doctor, nothing could get past the guards without being seen, even if a pegasus flies overhead." "No. That's...that's not enough. You see, there are things that can get past the simplest defenses!", the Doctor scolded, "To not have at least one guard watching, that puts them in even mroe danger, especially when playing with my filly." "Doctor Rask, you are under arrest for endangering the princesses." "Sorry to burst your bubble, Captain, but as long as I am in Equestria, Equestria itself is in danger. You sir, are just anotehr simple alicorn guard, I have taversed time. Before you make a move, tell me, why did you not expect that I amsomepony you should not trust, seeing as I came out of a blue box that seemed to appear out of no where?" "I...You..." "Exactly.", Whooves narrowed his eyes, "You see, it is something to worry about the future of the kingdom here when the princesses are gone, but it's another thing when my filly is gone. When my little filyl disappears, and this...", he activated his sonic screwdriver, "Doesn't pick her up...", he turned it off, "Then you would be like a small grain of sand for me to tread over as I journey forth to find her!" "Love, I think you have made your point already, but, what now? How could they have disappeared?" "Taken, that's how. Teh princesses, and our filly, we need to get them all back." "But, love, we don't know where to start." "I do. And I have a good idea of who may be behind this. You feel like having your hair fall otu from fear, love?" "Not really, where do you plan on going?" "We're going to the number one suspect, and askign a question. The masters of disguise, the silent killers, the unseen seen." "Love, what are you talking about?" "I'm talking about that which I, you, and every one of these guard has seen once before, but does not remember! I have no idea what they are, I can't remember, which means I saw them too. Weren't you closer, captain?" The captain looked where he was. He was inside the ring of guards, each holding a position where anypony could even possibly enter in. "I...Don't know why I'm here, I mean, shouldn't I be near you?" "Captain, I guess it's time I tell you I don't know Commander Hurriacne, yet. And above that, you were runnign after something, I saw a guard takign his spot back where he didn't move from, which means, they entered from the castle, they walked up to our fillies, took them, we tried to save them, but we made tyhe mistake of looking away, and now we are without fillies, oh the perfect steal. But the feathers ont eh ground say that the princesses themselves tried to protect Asfira, Captain, your fillies were not just taken, I have a feeling they may have been erased from existence." "D-doctor, you..." Whooves ran over to where the fillies were playing and scanned the ground, checking the screwdriver. "Oh no...Even worse. Captain, we have a bigger problem." "Doctor, how do you know all of this, and why should I trust you? In fact, why shoudln't I just arrest you now for kidnapping the princesses!" Whooves pointed his screwdriver at teh captain, "Because, withotu me, you will never see them again." The captain grunted, then called the guards, "Arrest them, now." Doctor Whooves tackeld the Catpain, sending them both tumbling through grass and onto metal. Teh captain flung Whooves off of him, quickly standing up in time to see the doors close on him, lockign him in a metal room. Turning around, Whooves was standing near a pillar with many moving parts, holdign his screwdriver out. "I told you, if you get in my way, I will tread on you as easily as a grain of sand on a simple trail, do you hear me?" The captain's horn glowed and Whooves activated his screwdriver, causign the alicorn to scream and fall in pain. "I will not say this again, so listen good, as this is the only time I will say this. Trust me. I'm the Doctor."
