//-------------------------------------------------------// Of Discipline and Mercy -by CelestianCrusader- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 Twilight looked up from her notebook, slightly shifted on her chair. A white pair of pull-ups hugged her rump and waist, a sign that like many other foals in the classroom she wasn't quite ready to be a full time "big filly." The classroom was small, a collection of ten rows of brown, wooden desks. Mostly notebooks and pencils adorned the desk though some students had expressed their creativity by drawing on the wooden surface. At the front of the room was a simple desk where the teacher, Mrs. Bright Spring, sat-or stood usually, at the blackboard. The grey Unicorn's white mane and tail moved in hypnotic waves as she moved around the classroom, making sure every student had a chance to hear what she was saying. "Today children, we have a very special guest." Mrs. Bright Spring paused in her ceaseless pacing just long enough to temporarily stand at the center of the room. "Princess Celestia has decided to come by to read you a story. I expect everypony to be on their best behavior. She smiled at the class. "But I'm sure you will be because this is such a well-behaved class." She glanced towards the chart hanging at the back of the room next to a paddle and a time-out stool in the corner. Colorful red frowny faces and a few green smiley faces decorated the chart's surface. She briefly frowned and continued. "She'll arrive in a few minutes. Let's all work on our addition before then." The rest of the class groaned, but Twilight ignored that, flipping to a clean, white piece of paper and lifting up a pencil in her magic. She groaned at the exertion and pouted when the pencil clattered onto the desk. A blue filly giggled then lit up her own horn. Her pencil didn't budge eliciting a snicker from Twilight. Mrs. Bright Spring's smile was beginning to look a bit strained. "Is everypony ready to do their addition?" "Yes, Mrs. Spring." The class chorused. The blue filly-Trixie, Twilight remembered-stuck out her tongue and her horn lit up once more. "Oh dear, don't hurt yourself." Mrs. Bright Spring trotted over and gently tapped Trixie's horn, cutting off the flow of magic. "You could seriously hurt yourself. We can work on levitation later." Trixie's bottom lip trembled, but she wiped at her eyes and picked up the pencil. Twilight decided to give it a second try, managing to lift the pencil again for a few moments until it clattered again. Mrs. Bright Spring nearly pranced to the head of the class. "Alright, everypony! Addition! Two plus three is..." Twilight lifted her hand. Mrs. Bright Spring put her smile back on her face. "Yes, Twilight?" "Five. Can I go get some water?" Mrs. Bright Spring sighed. "Alright, Dear. My little, little Ponies you may find yourself very thirsty after attempting to do magic above your level. It's always a good idea to get water after." Trixie raised her hoof. "Can I get some water?" "Very well, Dear." Twilight and Trixie both jumped up and pranced towards the door, Trixie lightly bumping her padded flank against Twilight's. Twilight bumped her back, but Trixie still managed to gallop out of the room before she could. "No running in the halls!" Mrs. Bright Spring called after them. Twilight trotted onto the clean, white tiles of Canterlot Magical Kindergarten. She touched her hoof to her throat which did feel rather dry. Trixie raced ahead, but Twilight only kept a steady pace. Trixie managed to reach the water fountain faster. "Haha! The gweatly powaful Trixie wins!" Twilight cocked her head. "Why not great and powerful?" Trixie paused, sounded it out. "Hahah! The Gweat and Powaful Trixie wins!" "Uh-huh." Twilight bumped her out of the way and climbed onto the stool, pressing down the button with her magic. A spray of water erupted, bounced against her snout. Trixie pranced in place, reared up. "You stole Trixie's spot!" Twilight placed her mouth to the stream, deeply drank, looking up only long enough to stick out her tongue and shout "nuh-uh!" "Uh-huh!" "Nuh-uh! Here, you have it, I'm done." Twilight lept down. Trixie clambered up on to the step, drank. Twilight was already galloping back down the hall. There was no way she was going to miss story time! A few seconds later she she heard the clap of hooves behind her. She didn't speed up, keeping her even pace while Trixie rushed past her so quickly her mane was plastered to her forehead. Twilight huffed, placed her mane back using her magic. Trixie galloped through the doors and they opened with a clatter. She ran so quickly in fact she bumped right into a long, white backleg. She bounced back onto her pull-up clad rear end. Celestia picked Trixie up in her magic. "What a playful filly. Try not to run, hmm?" Trixie's eyes widened as she took in the form of the solar princess. Celestia was tall, towering over the colts and fillies and even the only other adult in the room. Her wings were tucked neatly against her side, her multihued, rainbow colored mane and tail flowing in its eternal breeze. Twilight gasped when she walked into the room and saw her, fought down an urge to play in her mane, her lips pushing out at seeing the Princess talk to Trixie of all fillies. The blue junior magician was deposited on the floor after she nodded and promised that she'd not run. Twilight scampered to her own seat. The Princess laid down at the front of the room and floated a very old looking tome out of a saddlebag. The other fillies and colts gathered around her in a circle. Twilight sprang ahead of the herd, staring at the faux leather bound volume which was bigger than any book she'd ever seen. Celestia opened the book. Colorful illustrations decorated the pages. At seeing Twilight do it and not suffering any ill consequences, the other foals crowded around the Princess. Her lips turned upwards and she began to read. Her voice was soft, lilting, a musical quality. Twilight curled up. After situating herself, Celestia began. "Once upon a time, in the distant age of Dream Valley, when Ponies just like you and me wandered free upon plains so green, there were often terrors that could be seen..." Moondancer snuggled up close to Twilight, her pull-ups grazing against the other filly's. Twilight remained focused on the story. "Megan herself walked in those days, teaching Ponies strange new ways, defending them from the wicked foe-foe means a bad guy whose trying to hurt you..." Twilight knew that of course. Her reverie was broken by the slightest of pressures. She bit her lip. Oh no. Oh no, oh no, oh no... She crossed her back legs, jarring Moondancer who briefly looked affronted until Twilight gave her a quick nuzzle. "But of all the foes who brought such woes-that mean trouble or problems-none was more feared than Grogar, Lord of Tambelon that city so vile, whose evil erased all Pony's smiles..." By this point every filly and colt was completely focused on the story. Twilight put the building pressure on her bladder to the back of her mind. The Princess was weaving the story, her voice now almost a song, as she painted with words the deeds and triumphs of their ancestral heroes, that now lost age of Dream Valley and the mysterious savior from another world, Megan. Every filly and colt was spellbound as Gusty the Great (a Unicorn or Pegasus the stories couldn't agree, but a Unicorn in Celestia's version) strode deep into the heart of Tambelon to face the mad goat demon. Twilight suppressed a whimper and willed herself not to drum her back legs on the floor. Every movement reminded her of the pull-ups which were currently dry and dry was very good because a dry pair of pull-ups meant an unspanked bottom and a library book at the end of a (completely dry) week. Instead, she was very still like the other colts and fillies. She bit her lip. Now singing, Celestia was telling the tale of Gusty's travels deep through the winding tunnels. The bards of old had apparently considered it extraordinarily important to describe in the most lavish terms every nook and cranny, every shadow, every intrusion of light into that lightless place. "But where, where was the Bell that would banish this demon back to Hell?" Celestia looked up. "It's not a swear word if its referring to the place." Mrs. Bright Spring gave her a look. Celestia continued. "Where oh where? Ah, it is there!" Celestia's voice reached a fever pitch. All the little ones peered closer. Twilight's teeth were grit and she clutched her tail around herself. So close, she was so close...the saga couldn't be that much longer. Mrs. Bright Spring cleared her throat. "Twilight, Dear, do you need to use the potty?" "I'm good!" Twilight squeaked and drummed her back hooves. The teacher raised an eyebrow. Celestia's wings flared out in excitement and Twilight moved forward, jarring her bladder. A little trickle of pee leaked out, wet her fur. Twilight gulped, She could still fix this, try to hide it, but the thought of the paddle quickly put an end to that line of thought. But maybe if she didn't bring attention to it...she squirmed and tried to hold the rest, but her bladder had had enough. She nearly cried as cold, stinky pee flooded her pampers, making a big wet, spot. A crimson blush spread over her face. Moon Dancer moved away. Oh like you've never- "Twilight Sparkle!" Twilight hung her head. Mrs. Bright Spark walked towards her. "I am so sorry, Your Highness! She knows better." Twilight sniffled. "I-I-" She wiped at her eyes. "I just wanted to hear da rest of the story!" The wet spot was getting bigger. Celestia closed her eyes, sighed. She set the book aside. "My little, little Pony." She shook her head. Twilight cringed. "If you had just asked to go to the bathroom, I would have waited for you to get back. There was no reason for you to wet yourself. Now you'll have to reflect on that lesson while sitting on a sore behind." Twilight whimpered again. Her pull-ups were cold and she shifted. Mrs. Bright Spring sat down on a chair. Celestia cleared her throat. "May I administer the punishment? It was my fault in a way, I noticed her squirming and assumed she was merely excited. I should have warned her." "If you wish, Princess. The penalty is ten spanks and corner time." The leaky filly's eyes widened. Spanked by the Princess? But she was so big! Celestia's horn lit and Twilight was lifted into the air. She tried to squirm away, but the golden energy was warm. Twilight suddenly felt overcome with a feeling of being totally...loved. Loved even despite her transgression. Her shoulders relaxed and she knelt her head in an instinctive display of submission, accepting her punishment. Celestia came up to a kneeling position and laid the filly across her knees, her padded rump sticking out. The golden aura took hold of her pull-ups, lowered them so her bottom was bared. Celestia lifted her hoof and landed the first clap onto her bottom. Twilight yelped, the spank rippling through her rump. Two more spanks fell in rapid succession. Twilight wiggled over the lap, but her bottom couldn't escape its fate. A third smack fell down onto her rear and Twilight cried out in earnest. Celestia kept to the cadence of spanks, the fourth swat leaving a pink mark. She landed a fifth spank to the now pinkening bottom. Twilight kicked her back legs. Each spank that peppered her behind left a lasting stinginess, a bloom of heat being stoked into a fire that spread across her bottom. Celestia laid a foreleg around her to hold her in place. Twilight continued to kick. The sixth spank was given with the same even force, not too hard, but enough to leave an impression. Twilight's bottom was now a shade of pink to match the highlight in her mane. Celestia lifted her hoof and clapped the filly's rump. The seventh spank landed right across Twilight's sit spot. There was no pause as the eighth spank came, landing on the very center of her behind. She brought down the final two spanks. Twilight only sobbed. Celestia gently patted her bottom until the crying turned to sniffles. "There, there. It's for your own good. Now to the corner to think about what you did." She was once again swept up in Celestia's golden glow and placed on the hard seat of the time-out stool. She slumped and gazed at the corner. Mrs. Bright Spring tossed the wet pull-ups into the trash. The stool made her have to squirm to look for a comfortable position while Mrs. Bright Spring put a frowny face next to her name on the chart. Quietly, Twilight resolved to be good. Two more frowny faces would get her a paddling, but it was only Wednesday and this was the first frowny face she'd gotten this week. Not too late to earn three smiley faces and a cookie. Celestia picked up her book, glanced back to the filly who was still occasionally sniffling. She motioned for the foals to follow her and they did. She laid down a few feet from the time-out corner. "Little One, I know you wanted to hear me read and you might not hear me from that distance." Twilight smiled through her tears and Celestia began where she picked off, just as Gusty stole away the bell of Grogar. The other foals circled around Celestia while she read and the minutes in the time-out corner went by. Finally, Mrs. Bright Spring patted her shoulder. "Your time-out's over, Dear." She jumped off the time-out stool and rejoined the herd, finding a place next to Moondancer. Celestia's voice tapered away. "Well, I certainly hope you all enjoyed the story." She closed the book. "Twilight, did you learn your lesson?" "Yes, Princess." "Would you mind sharing that lesson with the rest of the class?" Twilight scrunched up her muzzle. The lesson seemed fairly obvious. "Use the potty?" Celestia hid the giggle behind her wing. "Certainly, but there's something else." She poked Twilight's flank with a feather, eliciting a giggle. "If you need something-like to go potty, for example-just ask. No one knows what you need until you say so. Ponies will help you if you let them." Twilight blushed. "Yes, Princess." Suddenly, Celestia embraced her in her wings. Twilight leaned into the affection. After too short a time, the hug came to an end. "I'm sorry, I need to leave. I'll visit you all again very soon." She booped Twilight's muzzle. "Remember what I told you." Twilight nodded. Celestia stood and all the children said good-bye. Twilight stared after her until Mrs. Bright Spring told them it was time for recess. Author's Note Trixie is here because Trixie. I'm thinking Twilight doesn't remember Trixie or doesn't care to mention it. Celestia spent the day with foals. Then she got bored of Parliament so she decided to go to a Kindergarten class. I almost want to do a magical kindergarten series. Yes, I made up the word lightless.
