A Lesson in Voyeurism

Ponyville is a bright and lively village settled snugly in the middle of Equestria, a world of mythical creatures, supernatural beings and, most importantly, ponies of all shapes and sizes. Earth ponies have a special connection to the earth and nature with some families specializing in baking, farming and general agriculture. Unicorns wield their magic to accomplish impossible feats that help control the world around them, adding a sense of simplicity to their lifestyles along with a desire to share their gifts and abilities with others to enjoy. Pegasi are masters of the sky with the ability to walk on clouds and to control the weather.

On this particular evening, every pony in Ponyville has wisely chosen to stay indoors, as the weather patrol had already announced a Late Spring Thunderstorm to begin in the afternoon. One would assume that “the afternoon” is a fairly vague timeframe, at least that’s the way that Twilight Sparkle looked at it. With several duties to perform during the day, she figured she would be able to complete all of the tasks on her To Do List by 3 ’o'clock. The early afternoon seemed to be uneventful, and the lack of wildlife in the area did not strike her as odd.

Things turned dire around 2:22pm, she made a note of it in her notepad as the first drop fell on her parchment. Feeling cheated out of her carefully laid plans, Twilight dashed from one task to the next speeding through conversations to get the most information she could with the fewest number of words. She lifted her list to check off the next item, but the ink had run to the point where she could no longer distinguish her beloved checkboxes.

The purple alicorn used her magic to store the list in her saddle bag, and she spread her wings in preparation to take flight ~ when a draft suddenly caught a hold of her and she was unintentionally thrown across town. With every attempt to correct her trajectory, she was caught up in a gale of wind from another direction further propelling her into the air and further away from town. Her choices for shelter were becoming sparse, and using magic in this weather would drain her just to keep it active against the fury of the incoming storm.

Huh? What’s that sound? Twilight’s acute sense of hearing was able to pick up something different, a sound that was familiar, yet a surprise to behold. It was the sound of the farm bell at Sweet Apple Acres being indiscriminately flailed about against the stormy winds. How in Equestria had she ended up here? There was no time to dilly dally, she needed to find shelter from the storm before she was swept away to the other side of the valley. Surely the Apple family would be able to accommodate her- if she could even make it to the front door!

The winds started to pick up and Twilight soon found the task to be nearly impossible. She would need Rainbow Dash’s strength and sheer unbreakable determination to make it to the door before being blasted away by the intensifying winds. The best chance she had to find shelter, much less survive this predicament would be to head to the family barn which was much easier to get to. With bated breath and a final lunge for the door, Twilight was able to burst into the barn with the last of her strength before using her magic to close the door behind her.

And there was finally silence.

“Well that could have turned out better.” Twilight shook her mane about, wriggling from head to tail to shake off her soaked skin. It would be a few hours before her saddlebag dried up though.

She huffed at the thought of her parchements and other supplies soaked through with rainwater. “I’ll need to have a talk with Rainbow Dash about having the weather patrol exercise stricter schedules for their rain and serious weather events.” She knew it would be a long shot, but dropping a hint or suggestion never hurt anypony.

The storm knocked gently against the barn, muted by the wooden panels which had been closed and locked in preparation for the storm. All things considered, she was lucky the barn door was open to begin with. That seems highly irregular. Why close all of the windows and leave the front door unlocked? So weird…

It was going to be a lazy evening now that Twilight found herself locked inside the barn. She could teleport away, but where would she go in this weather? The castle was too far away, and getting caught in the wrong place for a moment could be disastrous. Better to wait it out here.

Her ear twitched as a light thumping sound echoed overhead. Eh? Wait.. I haven’t even stopped to consider… am I even alone in here? She scanned the area around her, absentmindedly counting every disorganized hay bale and overloaded barrel of apples. “Hello? Is anypony here? Applejack?”

She waited a moment to see if anypony would answer, “Applebloom?” No answer. She thought about where the sound came from and her head craned upward to the second floor. Is somepony up there? She heard the sound again, and her suspicions were confirmed.

With one flap of her wings she ascended to the second floor. Nothing but piles of hay as far as she could see. They would make a satisfying snack, but she knew the carbs would go straight to her hips. After what Spike told her the other day, she had decided that the hayburgers would need to stop at least for a little while. Where could the sound be coming from?

“~cube.”

Oh! Applejack must be up here. Twilight would recognize Applejack’s catchphrase anywhere. She must be checking on the barn after realizing that the door was left open. Maybe there will be a door adjoined to the main house and she could snuggle up to a nice fire with one of Granny Smith’s apple tarts and a cup of hot tea. But wait, I’m on the second floor. Shouldn’t she have entered the barn from below? So many curiosities to investigate just like one of her Daring Do novels.

She listens carefully and picks up on a trail of hay which was disturbed near the back of the barn. The thumping sound echoes from beyond a wall of hay bales- she must have come around to the opposite side of the wall. That’s no problem, she can just strike up a teleportation spell and zap her way to the other side. If there’s anypony she would love to see right about now it would definitely be-

“Ooh Big Mac~~!”

Big Mac? Twilight’s spell stops mid-glow and she leans up against the wall. Sure she must have imagined it. Some sort of stray memory that echoed Big Mac’s name in her head. Using Applejack’s tone…her accent… and inflection. And what an inflection! It almost sounded like she was-

“Aaaahn! Hmmm~ Don’t stop~”

*GASP* N-N-NO WAY! Twilight’s mind flew into a frenzy, thoughts criss-crossing, zig-zagging and bouncing around so much that she had to clasp her hooves over her mouth to keep herself from yelling some obscenity that would give her away. What could she have stumbled upon on this day of all days? One of her best friends in the throngs of… lovemaking? I-impossible! Applejack had rarely expressed an interest in any pony, much less any stallion she was aware of. If anything, she figured her and Rarity would- but no, with every clue at her disposal, she knows exactly who is on the other side of this wall.

Applejack and Big Mac!

Twilight’s eyes suddenly lock onto something that cause her thoughts to freeze in place. A streak of light… a near celestial ray bursting through a hole in the wall. She swallowed a lump in her throat. The ringing in her ears started to subside, slowly being replaced by everything she expected to hear if it was, in fact true… that Applejack was on the other side of this wall… having sex with her brother, Big Mac.

She leaned forward, inching closer to the light. Her heart started to beat faster and faster. She was so curious. Oh so curious. She had never seen ponies enthralled in passionate bliss from the outside looking in. It would be something so different… so sadistically satisfying to see sex from a different point of view. Her last time was months ago and she swore she would not think of it ever again. It was a secret. She could not allow herself to remember it.

The hole was big enough for her to see through, and the dim light from the other side was just enough to see the incredible drama unfolding before her.
