Chapter One:Awakening
The alarm clock went off suddenly waking him up another thing he did not want to do was this,everyday was a nightmare for the last 3 years now.He shut off the alarm and slowly got him grumbling and snorting the pony was scraggy at a first glance and if you didn’t know who he was you might have he was homeless,He walked over to the mirror his legs hurt from the war but his meds take that way if he were to take them.
Looking in the mirror was not the best looking sight to see but he didn’t care he washed his face in the sink,he stumbled over to the kitchen and stopped at the picture of her but their only pictures now,He got to the fridge and open the door and an inside look you would understand why he looked and smelled of death a fridge full of all kinds of alcohol was there he reached in and pulled out a fresh bottle and prepared a cup of it then drank out of the bottle for good luck measures.
After having what he called breakfest he got back to his room and put on his coat and police badge and prepare to go to work as he left he looked back at the small studio apartment he called home it was not what he dreamed of growing up but it was all he could afford.he walked out in the streets still after all this time he still gets looks from ponies that know him he kept walking down the street who caring at what was going on around him almost running into other ponies,he stopped by a coffee cafe to pick up a cup of coffee and a newspaper and drank it slowly while reading the paper nodding to this he agreed with he did this daily and the workers knew what he wanted and what spot he took everyday.After his coffee he folded up the newspaper tipped the store and went on to his work after about a 10 minute walk he arrived there opening up the door.
Detecive Edmond had been working for the Phillyadelphia police force for some years now and at first was a raising cop he had a short haircut and looked old for his age a few crows feet under his eyes and scar or two on his face, He used to come to work with a smile and left with one which was a favorite part among his peers never let anything get him.Now much older he was bitter and seemed spaced at moment,he didn’t not recicve the same looks and greetings he used to much rather some concerns on his well being and others were shame on a waste of such talent.He fell down in chair at his desk and worked on a few minors cases nothing too big.
Today is the day that would change his life but that was much to come later.He looked around the police station the crowd place full of ponies reporting some crime or a cop talking to another about something that didn’t even matter,looking at one of the cases he remembered something he couldn’t put his hoof on it but it was something he had seen before,after decicded he couldn’t remember he gave up and try again later.Byt the time he was done with reviewing the other cases it was time for lunch as he walked down to get some lunch he got a call about a murder in the area.He arrived first on scene.
