Part l: The Birth of a Princess
King Sombra was sitting in the waiting room hearing the screams of his wife. Sombra didn't want to be a father really but it was in the Royalty Rule Book which must be followed at all costs. Sombra used his magic to make the rule book appear. It had a royal blue cover and it was HUGE with over 4 million rules! Sombra cleared his throat and began to read the big dusty book.
"Rule 777 Even though you are an Alicorn you must continue the royal bloodline just in case if something happens." Sombra flipped threw the book for a while until the screams stopped. A bright pink unicorn with a dark pink mane in a white uniform walked out holding a clipboard in her hooves.
"King Sombra the birthing went perfect! The Princesses and your newborn is ready for you." Sombra nodded at the mare and pushed opened the door. Luna and Cadence were by the sides of the bed and Celestial had a pink blanket with a little bundle of purple fur in it. The Princesses stepped aside for Sombra to make his way to his wife. Sombra used his magic to pick up the baby to get a better look at her. The baby in his magic aura had a royal blue mane and tail with pink and purple streaks and her fur was a beautiful lavender.
"What would you like to name her dear?" Celestial thought about what Sombra said for a second then an idea popped up.
"How about Twilight because she was born during twilight and my favorite grandma was named Twilight." Sombra looked at the baby that was asleep in his hooves with a smile.
"And her last name can be Crystal!" Celestial didn't like I'm not one bit. Luna was in the corner thinking with Cadence.
"Sister what about Sparkle because in twilight the stars sparkle the brightest!" Celestial looked at her sister with approval and then looked at Sombra. Sombra nodded and used his magic to put Twilight back in her mother's hooves.
"You are the best gift that any mother can ask for." Celestial snuggled into Twilight's fur and Sombra hugged his girls. Luna lower the moon and Celestial raised the sun with her magic. Cadence stepped forward towards the new family.
"As the Princess of Love I can feel that this family is full of it and not one bit of hate. Also my gift for Twilight is that she will be loved by all of Equestria." Cadence used her magic to place a spell on the baby and backed away for Luna.
"Princess Twilight Sparkle my gift to you is to protect you from the darkness that once corrupted me." Luna placed the spell on her and wiped a year from her eye. Sombra was next, then it was Celestial turn.
"My Little Princess my gift to you is for you to always be bright like a crystal and know good from bad." Sombra's horn lit up as he placed the spell on the baby in Celestial's hooves.
"My beautiful daughter my gift to you is whenever there's darkness you will also see the light at the end of the tunnel." When Celestial finished the spell, Twilight woke up and showed her purple eyes for the first time. Celestial and the others couldn't help but stare into her eyes hypothesized by their beauty. Finally after a while Visiting Hours were over so every one had to go to let Celestial and Twilight sleep. Before Sombra left he came over and kissed his girls on the head.
"Goodnight my princesses."
Two days later the royal family was ready to announce the birth of Princess Twilight Sparkle to Equestria. Sombra grabbed a golden crown with pink crystals in embedded in it and placed in on Twilight's head. Of course it was too big and almost fell to the floor and Celestial used a spell to size it down. Everypony in Equestria was going to be there to celebrate and coo over Twilight. King Sombra placed his crown and Celestial's crown on their heads and walked out onto the baloney to be greeted by Star Swirl.
"Greetings Star Swirl my mentor." Celestial said bowing with Luna following. Sombra held Twilight in his fore hoove waiting for Star Swirl to begin.
"Ah King Sombra how are you?" Star Swirl looked at Sombra's messing mane and bloodshot eyes.
"I'm so tired Twilight wouldn't stop crying last night!" Sombra handed Twilight to Star Swirl and used a spell to give him more energy for the day. Star Swirl walked to the edge of the baloney with Twilight still in his fore hoove.
"Ponies of Equestria today we are here to welcome our newest Princess!" Star Swirl said using his Royal Canterlot voice making the crowd fall silent.
"The daughter of King Sombra and Princess Celestial of Equestria is here today with us at last! I welcome Princess Twilight Sparkle!" Star Swirl used his magic to hold up Twilight so all the ponies could see. Automatically everypony in the crowd bowed to their newest Princess and cheered.
"Twilight! Twilight! Your so amazing!"
"She's my new favorite Princess!"
"All hail Princess Twilight Sparkle!"
Many ponies in the crowd were cheering over the newest Princess. Star Swirl handed Twilight back to Sombra and Celestial. The new parents hugged their baby then walked back into the castle for the party. Sombra stopped and looked down at the crowd thinking he saw somepony familiar. He didn't see anything so he just walked into the castle following his wife.
"Sombra do you think you can just betray me and get away with it?" A pony in the shadows said disappearing into the castle. A pony walked in the front of the castle easily getting by the guards with their disguise. The pony had five others following behind them just in case something happens. They all walked upstairs to be greeted by the royal couple and their baby.
"Hello Filthy Rich, welcome to the party." The pony looked confused but then remembered the disguise. The pony and her followers transformed into Queen Chrysalis and her guards. Sombra used his magic to blast at her guards but they were to fast and they knocked Celestial over. Twilight Sat on the floor playing patty cake not caring what's going on. Chrysalis charged for the baby but Sombra jumped on her knocking her to the floor.
"Sombra we could have ruled together but instead you betrayed my and fell in love!" Chrysalis snapped at Sombra.
"I realized how bad I was making ponies my slaves, destroying the Crystal Empire so I changed and Celestial help me. I knew betraying you was the right thing and getting rid of you too." Sombra was about use his magic when the other changlings attack him. Chrysalis got up and walked over to a struggling Sombra.
"His mine but you can have Celestial and the baby's love. Now go and feed my children!" Chrysalis was about to suck all of Sombra's love away but Twilight started crying. The changlings guard named Mastitis scared the baby causing he to cry.
"Make that noise stop!!!" Chrysalis and the others were covering their ears. Twilight sneezed sending all the changlings flying all the way back to their land. Sombra and Celestial checked Twilight to make sure she wasn't hurt or anything. No pony was hurt or so they thought.
"Dear your horn it's broken!" Celestial shouted pointing at a little nub of what's left of his horn. Sombra felt the nub with his hoove and gasping in shock.
"During the battle my horn must have been broken off. Is it in the room somewhere if SP we can restore it with a healing spell but it needs all the Princesses." Sombra and Celestial started to look around the room using their magic to lift and move things. But the horn wasn't anywhere in sight or probably Equestria for that matter. They stopped searching after awhile and decided it was gone.
"My beautiful horn!" Sombra tried to use magic but it only sent little sparks out. Celestial hugged and her husband and gave him Twilight to see if it would work. It did.
"At least I have my family. Now are we going to sit here and feel sorry or our we going to party!" They all walked out of the room as a family and partied until their hooves gave in. But some creatures weren't happy not one bit.
Chrysalis woke up in her hive to see she had a horn in her hooves. Not just any horn, Sombra's horn. Chrysalis grinned an evil horrible grin and did an evil laugh of course.
"Ha ha ha ha! Sombra my old friend what's a unicorn without their magic?"
5 Years later...
(Twilight's POV)
Ugh I can't believe my parents keeping me at home all the time. I never been outside I only read about it even the windows are boarded up. I feel like their hiding something from me like the world!
"I hate being a Princess!" I yelled throwing my crown across the room. I crawled in a corner and start to cry when I felt a hoove tap my shoulder. I looked up to see Shinning Armor the Captain of the Royal Guard. Shinning was always there for me like a brother and since I have no one to play with he took me under his wing. Well he doesn't have wings thought but you get what I mean.
"Hey Twiley, I found this on the floor during my patrol I believe it's yours." Shinning levitated the crown onto my head and pulled me into a hug. I cried on his shoulder which I never did, Dad told me crying is a weakness so I never cried in front of him or mom. I finally stopped crying after an hour or so and wiped my tears away.
"Shinning can I ask you something?" Shinning Armor looked down at me and smiled.
"Anything." I was scared if he said no and told on my parents but this is my BBBFF.
"Can you take me to the outside world please it's all I ever wanted!" I felt tears running down my cheeks again as I looked into Shinning's blue eyes. I felt him tense up a little bit then calmed back down and smiled at me.
"Only if you don't tell your parents." He said yes! I jumped up and down so happy to see the world but Shinning shushed me. I tried to teleport us out of the castle but my magic wasn't that strong yet so Shinning teleported us. In a flash of white light we teleported out into the world and away from the castle. I felt something soft under me I jumped up to see grass, real grass! I rolled around in it for a few minutes then saw Shinning waiting for me. When I was running to him I felt my mom's sun on my face which felt so good and hot!
"Come on Twiley you haven't seen nothing yet." I ran right next to Shinning, he teleported us somewhere in Equestria. I looked around to see a sign that read: Welcome to PonyVille, hope you enjoy your stay! ah so we're in Ponyville I read that there's lots of entertainment here and other stuff like fashion. I trotted over to a Boutique without Shinning he said he would wait for me. I opened the door causing a bell to jingle and a filly to appear.
"Hello I'm Rarity and welcome to my sister's Boutique!" The filly unicorn looked about the same age as Twilight and she had a purple mane with a shiny white coat.
"Hello Rarity I'm Princess Twilight Sparkle, pleased to meet you." When she heard Princess she automatically started to freak out and bowed down to me. I kinda feel uncomfortable when ponies bow down in front of me but it would be rude if I didn't bow back. I bowed and rose back and up used my magic to fix my crown.
"What can we do for you today maybe something for your mother?" I totally forgot mother's day was this Friday which is only three days away! Rarity probably could see the distress on my face so she ran inside her shop. When she returned she had a pink slippers with mom in red stitching on them. I grabbed with me magic and gave her two bits than started to head back to Shinning.
"Darling you look way more beautiful than in the pictures!" Rarity trotted around me looking me over causing me to blush.
"Um I got to go but it was a pleasure meeting you Rarity." I flew back over to where Shinning Armor was waiting. I showed him the slippers I got for Mom he picked them up and put them on him.
"I think I might get a pair for myself because they make me look beautiful!" Shinning sang the last part making me giggle. I used my magic to take them off him and put them back in my saddle bag.
"I'm hungry! BBBFF do you know any place we can eat at?" I felt my tummy growl, right now at the castle it would be feeding time. The food there was great and all but it was the same thing everyday some hay shaped into a crown with olives for the crystals.
"Hmm the Hay Burger would be a good place or Sugar Cube Corner. Which one sounds better to you Twiley?" Shinning wrapped his hoove around my shoulder.
"What about Sugar Cube Corner!" I jumped up and Shinning teleported us in front of a Gingerbread house? We walked in to be greeted by a hyper filly with crazy pink hair and coat.
"HithereImPinkiePiebutmyfriendscallmyPinkiesoyoucancallmePinkietoifyouwant!" Pinkie started jumping up and down not standing still for one second.
"Hi there Pinkie, I'm Princess Twilight Sparkle pleased to meet you." I bowed and got up to see her jaw touching the floor literary!
"OMCyouraPrincessofcourseyouareImeannoteveryponyhaswingsandahornsowhatcanIgetyou?" Pinkie kept on bouncing up and down which was starting to make me sick. Shinning walked in front of me a to order for us.
"Hey Pinkie can we get two cupcakes to go?" Shinning got out one bit and handed it to Pinkie. She grabbed it in her mouth and hopped over and came back with two brown bags on her head. Shinning used his magic to grab the two bags and walked out.
"Bye Pinkie it was a pleasure meeting you!" I ran out before I got stuck listening to her life story or something. I looked around and couldn't find find Shinning anywhere. After looking for a while I was about to give up when something crashed into me.
"Hey there sorry about that, I was trying to do a Sonic Rainboom!" A cyan pegasus with a rainbow mane that was a little ruffled up stood in front of me.
"OMG your Princess Twilight Sparkle please don't execute me!" I just rolled my eyes at the pegasus in front of me begging for her head.
"I'm not going to execute or anything to you ok?" The pegasus stopped hugged my hoove and got up and dusted herself off.
"I'm Rainbow Dash a future Wonderbolt!" I didn't feel like listening about her dream so I started to walked away. Rainbow Dash followed me of course I must have not been looking where I was going because I jumped into something. Or somepony.
"Watch where yer going partner! Everypony ok?" A earth pony with a an orange coat and yellowish white mane helped me up.
"Why your an Alicorn so you must be Princess Twilight Sparkle! I'm Apple Jack pleased to meet ya." Apple Jack grabbed my hoove shakes it hard and let go. Rainbow Dash flew in front of me and glared at Apple Jack.
"Apple Jack..."
"Rainbow Crash, I bet yer crash into her am I right?" Apple Jack grinned as Rainbow turned away and turn a deep shade of red.
"She did in fact but she said she was sorry so all is forgiven." The ponies still glared at each other. I used my magic to teleport me away to a cottage? Animals were everywhere and bird houses and feeders sat on trees.
"Thank you Sir so much for getting Angel down for me." I barely heard what the pony said but all I cared was I found Shinning Armor. I ran over to him scaring the pony in a little ball.
"Shinning I found you! Why are you here?" I looked him in the eyes and then sat down next to the pony who was still in a ball.
"Fluttershy here had a bunny stuck in the tree so I used my magic to bring him down to her." That was sweet and all but isn't she a Pegasus so she could have flew up there.
"Doesn't she have wings?" Shinning looked over at the pony and back at me.
"Yes but she's afraid of heights." I jumped back at what I heard, a Pegasus afraid of heights it's a cruel joke.
"Your telling the truth?" I looked him in the eyes to see if he was trying to look everywhere except me but he wasn't.
"The honest truth, now let's left poor Fluttershy by herself. Goodbye Fluttershy!" Shinning called out and then used his magic to teleport us back into the castle.
"That was so fun thank you BBBFF!" I jumped around him smiling.
"I hope it was because you are not leaving this castle until your 21 missy!" My father's voice echoed off the walls making me jump. My father walked to me with a disappointed look on his face, Shinning jumped in front of me.
"Sir be angry at me I broke protocol Twilight told me it was wrong but I didn't listen." Dad walked up to Shinning making it face to face and used his magic to rip off Shinning's badge.
"Get out off my castle and Equestria while your at it! You put my daughter in danger what if Chrysalis was out with her hive. I don't what to see your face or hear your name ever again, guards take him out!" Two guards came in and grabbed Shinning and pushed him out and the castle and my life. It was all my fault I lost the pony that I could trust. I ran to my room ignoring my father's calls, I need to be alone. I pushed past my mom and ran in my room and locked the door. And for the second time that day I cried...
Nobody's POV
Queen Chrysalis sat on her throne thinking of ways to kill Sombra. Then she thought an idea a horrible one at that.
"Martinis get my hive ready!" She yelled at her captain. Chrysalis played with the broken horn in her hoove.
"We should probably return this to Sombra. Ha ha ha ha!"
