Fluttershy watched in horror as Discord's body was thrown backwards. He had just taken a dark magic bolt for her. The attack came from King Sombra. Who smiled wickedly as the lord of chaos landed on the floor behind them. Fluttershy felt numb; everything was blacked out to her. As she watched his body come to a slow stop. She couldn't believe what had just happened. She even began to wonder if she was seeing things. But, no, this was real. He had saved her once again. But, this time it may have cost him. A single word popped into her mind.

“Discord!” She shouted as tears began to form in her eyes.

All of them quickly raced towards his still body. The others stood around him; while only her and Rainbow Dash held him. Rainbow gently held his head in her hooves. While she gently held his neck. Fluttershy couldn't see any signs of injury. But, his eyes were closed and he wasn't breathing. She though she had heard Twilight say something. But she was only focused on him.

The tears began to fall from her eyes, “Please, wake up,” She begged him as she shook him a little, “Please, wake up.” She began to sob a little. She felt him move a little; which made her look up at him. His eyes were open and he was looking down at her. She smiled, “Discord.” She hugged him with a smile. But her smile quickly faded when she felt him go limp again.

“Discord!” Rainbow shouted in worry; watching in horror as his tail began to become encased in stone, “No, no,” She looked at him; his eyes were halfway closed, “No, Discord! Stay awake! Stay awake, please!” She begged.

Discord breathed heavily as he felt himself growing weaker and weaker by the minute. He could hear Sombra laughing. He couldn't hear what he was saying; but he figured he was insulting him and his friends. Saying how they could never beat him. That they were not strong enough to defeat him. But, he was wrong. He knew they were strong enough. Even if they didn't have the elements of harmony. They were still strong enough to defeat any foe that opposed them. He released a pain filled groan as more of his tail became stone.

“Discord,” Fluttershy whimpered as she made him look at her, “Please, you have to fight it. We need you,” She continued as he looked at her with a sad look, “I need you.” She finished before burying her face into his chest. She began to weep heavily.

Discord gently lifted her head back up allowing her to look at him. He gently wiped away her tears. Just as the final part of his tail became encased in stone, “Fluttershy, none of you need me.” He said to her trying to keep his own tears from falling.

Fluttershy sobbed a little, “Yes, we do!” She cried as she hugged him, “We don't have the elements anymore. The tree of harmony is gone. You're all we have left.” She could hear Sombra laughing at her words. But, she did not care.

Discord sighed heavily as his legs became stone. He began to explain that they never needed the elements of harmony. That all they need was to believe in themselves and each other. He reminded them all about the element they were chosen by. Applejack, would always be honest. Pinkie pie, would always bring laughter wherever she would go. Rarity, no matter what would always be generous. Twilight, she was the true embodiment of magic and friendship.

Fluttershy tried her best to keep from crying. But, now she saw almost half of his body had turned to stone. He was looking her right in the eyes; some tears of his own falling from them. No, this wasn't fair. They couldn't, She couldn't lose him now. Not now or ever.

“Fluttershy.” He said in a voice that was growing weaker by the second.

“Discord, please,” She whimpered, “Fight it.” She finished.

“Fluttershy, you will always be the kindest and sweetest pegasus; I have ever had the greatest pleasure of knowing,” He said to her as he lifted his head up to her and gently kissed her on her lips. The two held the kiss for a few seconds before they broke it so they could both breath, “I love you.” He finished.

“I love you, too.” She said back in a voice just barely above a whisper. By now his chest, arms, and the lower part of his neck had turned to stone.

Discord then looked at Rainbow dash. Like Fluttershy she was also crying; although usually she would try to stay strong. But, she was about to loose a friend of hers forever. There was no way she could stay strong through this.

“Rainbow.” He began.

“NO!” Rainbow almost shouted as tears poured from her eyes like rivers, “Discord, please, we need you! Fluttershy, she needs you,” She released a small sob, “I.....I need you.” She finished.

“You were always loyal to your friends, Rainbow dash. No matter what; they could always rely on you to be there for them. Just like you are for me now,” He continued she shut her eyes tight for a few seconds. He was about to say something else. But, he was stopped by her gently pressing her lips against his. Like Fluttershy she held the kiss for a few seconds until she broke it. Allowing the two to breath, “Rainbow?”

“I love you, Discord!” She almost yelled, “I love you! Please, don't leave us. Don't leave, Fluttershy!” Her voice choked up for a moment, “Don't leave me, please.” She begged.

Discord smiled sadly as he looked at her and Fluttershy. He felt the stone reach his chin; a few more tears feel from his eyes, “Goodbye, my loves.” He finished just as his head turned to stone.

All of them looked at the now stone statue of Discord. None of them could believe it. He was gone and there was no way to bring him back. They then heard a small crack and a series of small hairline cracks extended across his body. Then in the blink of an eye; his body fell into pieces. Pieces so small that they were practically dust. Both Fluttershy and Rainbow dash looked down in their shaking hooves. Watching as the small amount of dust was carried off by the wind. They began to hyperventilate. Which grew worse and worse by the seconds. Until, they both shouted in the loudest voices possible.

“DISCORD!”

“DISCORD!” Both mares shouted as they sat up from their beds. Both breathing heavily as they looked around their homes.

Fluttershy felt something gently nuzzling her; she looked down and saw angel looking up at her in worry. Before she could even react; angel had jumped up towards her chest and gently hugged her. She sighed heavily as she gently hugged her pet.

“It's okay, Angel,” She said to him trying to not only reassure him; but herself also, “It was just a bad dream.” She finished with a sigh before lying back down.

Rainbow dash had her pet tortoise, Tank, laying with her. He had heard her scream and was by her side as fast as he could be. Rainbow's mind raced with thoughts. Why would she have a dream like that? Yes, that day she truly thought they had lost him. Only to find out later he was fooling them. Although, a trick like that was low even for him. She understood the reason why he did it. He truly believed in all of them. He believed that none of them needed the elements of harmony. And, he was right they did not need them. And, yet, they need him to tell them something they should've already known. She sighed heavily as she rolled onto her back and stared up at the ceiling. There was one thought that raced through her mind.

“I love you, Discord”

In the dream why did she say that; she knew Fluttershy loved Discord. She had told her once in confidence that she would keep it quiet. She even knew Discord loved Fluttershy. But, she could not understand why she said that to him. Yes, they had been hanging out with each other a lot more. Since her and Pinkie had started joining in on their game of Ogre's and Oubliettes. Yes, sometimes they would prank unsuspecting ponies together. But, no, she didn't........did she? She groaned loudly in annoyance before shutting her eyes.

After a few hours had passed Luna began to lower her moon and Celestia had started to raise her sun. Fluttershy was up and moving feeding all of her animal friends. She yawned as she began to feed her fish friends. Her dream had stolen a couple of hours of sleep from her. Meaning she was barely able to stay awake. Once she had feeding the fish; she began to walk towards the field where her deer friends were. When she reached it; she saw something that surprised her. Her deer friends were already eating their morning meal. She wondered if she had already fed them and simply forgot about it. But, then a familiar chuckle came from behind her. It caused her to smile happily before she turned around. Behind her stood Discord who smiled happily at her.

“Hello, Fluttershy.” He greeted her as he held his arms out.

Fluttershy almost immediately flew up into his arms. They both hugged each other as smiles stretched across their faces. He held Fluttershy close to him as she held him close.

“Hello, Discord.” She replied before they broke the hug and she flew back down, “Thank you.” She quickly thanked him.

He chuckled again, “No problem dear.” He replied as they walked together to her next set of animal friends.

Rainbow dash flew through the sky as fast as she could. She flew into the clouds and cleared them from the skies. She was trying to concentrate on her work; flying faster and faster after each cloud she cleared. Eventually she managed to clear the clouds from the sky. Well, all except for two. The cloud she was currently standing on; while trying to catch her breath. And the other that still remained. When she felt the shadow touch her body; she turned and looked at the cloud. Only to have her eyes go wide in shock. For the cloud that remained was in the exact shape of Discord.

“AH!” She screamed as she quickly kicked the cloud out of the sky and flew off.

She flew as fast as she could away from the part of the sky. Hoping and praying nopony saw that. As she flew thoughts of her dream raced through her mind. She tried to shake the thoughts from her mind. But, they kept coming back stronger than ever. She sighed heavily before heading towards Applejacks orchard. She found a tree and began to rest on a branch. She closed her eyes and did her best to forget about last night. But, her mind wouldn't let her.

This is a new fic I made based off of a scene from the series premier. when Discord Faked his injury; I noticed Rainbow dash and Fluttershy were the only two who held him. So yeah that has inspired this fic. also today is a little special because today not only is this story being posted. but also another that is a crossover featuring Spike and my favorite video game series Resident evil. RE7 to be precise. and I would like to know which one all of you would like for me to continue writing. because I am divided between the two.
