//-------------------------------------------------------// Valkyrie -by Nightingale321- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue: Goodbye Aeris //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue: Goodbye Aeris In the year 2066, and Fully Immersive Virtual Reality became a commercially viable reality. People all over the world began using this technology for things such as Advanced Neurological Science, Creating True Artificial Intelligence, living a Second Life, School, Video Games, and a variety of other types of entertainment. Reality became naught but a hindrance to everyday life, and civilization gradually transformed into a Virtual existence. Two years later, the fantasy-based VRMMORPG game called Valkyrie Quest came out of beta with world praise for its groundbreaking ingenuity, creativity, and revolutionary game-design. Millions of players signed up to play this hyper-realistic game with its immersive story, genius combat system, or just for the sheer size of the actual world. For ten years, players all over the world spent their time in this game, in the world of Aeris; exploring the nine realms and their various dungeons; fighting monsters, demons, spirits, angels alike; making friends, enemies, or being a public menace in general. Aeris gave birth to many memories. Some were sweet, others bitter, all of them precious. For some people who married one of the billions of NPCs in this game, they were allowed to transfer that NPC's data to an Andriod so they can remain together in real life. It was a scandal that lasted for many years but didn't amount to anything in the end. The NPCs were so unbelievably real when they were brought to the real world. No one could tell if they were truly a machine created from data incapable of real emotions. To the players, it didn't matter. All that mattered was the one they fell in love with, the one they cherished most in the world of Aeris; came back with them to Earth when their world came to an end. Such a controversy didn't last long, especially when several world leaders showed off their Angel, Demon, Elf, Fairy, Orc, Dragon, Kirin, Dwarf, Human companions, and thousands of other races, to the rest of the world. Imagine the Russian President revealing his affair with a Dark-Elf Priestess to everyone in the world. Scandalous! Of course, bringing NPCs into the real world with the aid of androids weren't the only thing that happened during the final month before Valkyrie Quest closed down for good. In the game, celebrations occurred in every village, town, and city. One couldn't go anywhere without walking into a populated area in the middle of a massive party; Guild Wars, PvP Tournaments, Weddings, the final Dungeon Raids, Jolly Cooperation, and so much more happened during the final moments; Old grudges were settled, promises were made, and sex. So much sex, in fact, Helheim practically became the place to go if one wanted to join the biggest orgy in history. As for the Solo Players who enjoyed exploring the world on their own? Many of them, myself included, went to their most cherished spot to spend their final moments. So, here I sat, looking over a ridge of a taiga forest underneath a maple tree. The virtual sky burned with a somber assortment of dull reds, oranges, and purples. This collection of color bathed, The Twilight Forest, with the very shades of the bleeding heart of the world I'll forever call: Home. The native Dusksingers—A dark purple and blue bird with a voice that sang like a violin and flute together—Cried their final farewell to their beloved guardian one last time. I sang along with them, matching my voice to their weeping cries echoing throughout this magical forest. Their guardians didn't want to go, but she had to. I had to, and I didn't want to. I wanted to stay, to live in a world that treated me as one of its own. I didn't want to return to Earth, to waste my life away in solitude in a shabby apartment; unloved, unwanted, undesirable. Here, in this world of Aeris. I meant something. I found the Astral Library after completing a ridiculously hard chain-quest that, frankly, was the most wonderful adventure I've had on Aeris. From fighting monsters hundreds of levels above my own, exploring forgotten labyrinthine, uncovering hidden civilizations to making friends with various important NPCs. I slew the Ten Dragons of the Apocalypse, combined their souls to resurrect the Ancient God, Satan; the Progenitor of every demon in the multiverse, and did something the New Gods couldn't do! I killed him and took his crown, his power, his very legacy; for my own. I also became the first person in Valkyrie Quest to slay an Ancient God. I became a celebrity to both Players and NPCs alike. After all, Ancient Gods were end-game Raid Bosses that required hundreds of thousands of Players to defeat. And I solo'ed the strongest of them all. How I did it? I'll never tell anyone. Making those Grimoires took me forever to complete, and I wasn't going to allow anyone the ability to take away my most cherished creation from me. That, and the devs would not allow anyone to have my Grimoires anyway. These things were so broken at the time. The devs had to speed-nerf them before I could destroy the entire world of Aeris. I'm not kidding. I got an email congratulating me for creating something the devs didn't think was possible in the game, before telling me I wasn't allowed to sell them, recipe and all, to anyone, or else I'd get banned. I wasn't going to. Making the damn things took forever and required some of the most difficult to acquire end-game materials! Do you know how hard it is to acquire an Aetherion Core? Well, let me you. Finding a mountain-sized monster is quite easy, but killing the Level 9999 Divine Raid Boss? Not so much. Now, do it solo, without dying, or damaging the Core since it's the monsters very heart; all the while avoiding other Players, NPCs, and other monsters! It's not worth it. Trust me. And don't get me started on Astral Diamonds! The number of errands I had to do for Queen Solaria of the Fairies just to access a fucking Spirit Well where those over-priced rocks spawned was so mind-numbingly, rage-causing, suicide-inducingly annoying! But I digress. Even though some of my adventures were grindy', even though some quests were annoyingly monotonous; the memories I've made in Aeris will last a lifetime. I fell in love, got my heart broken, betrayed by friends, saved by strangers, encountered weird people and creatures, and despite the amount of pain, torture, and sorrow I've felt along my journey. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. As I remembered all the good times I've had in Aeris, I opened up my Information Screen (https://docs.google.com/document/d/157916b4ZMDQRwqrBojqzoseG3I2WTtGLuoBG2zyrseQ/edit?usp=sharing) one last time. Sometimes I forget how ridiculously strong I am on a regular basis, even looking at all the effects my current God-tier Mage Robes made me appear like a monster. It's ridiculous, but I wouldn't have it any other way. After all, my stats' were quite normal for a God Slayer. I wondered how many there were in the world as I closed my status screen? Ten, a Hundred, a Thousand? I know there were only seven located on the North American Server, and all of them belonged to The Trinity Seven; the Guild we made for ourselves for no other reason than to have a place to store our shit. I think there was four on the Asian Server? I don't know. I never really cared. [11:50] Heh, I just noticed the flavor text added to the Magic Tier Descriptions. Wisteria—my name—will forever be feared by the Gods? I'm one of three who can use the impossible Tier-11 Magic; the very magic that can change the entire planet? Awesome. [11:51] I wondered what will happen to my home? I'm not talking about the Astral Library, but my castle located in Helhiem. After all, I didn't go out of my way to resurrect the Ancient God, Satan; kill the Seven Demon Lords representing their perspective sins, the Demon King, and the entire demonic army of Hell for nothing! I'm going to miss my maid army of sexy succubi and incubi. I'm glad I'm bisexual. I get to enjoy the best of both worlds. I hope Lilith won't be too mad at me for not cleaning my room. I haven't cleaned it in over two years, and I sealed the damn place to prevent anyone from bothering me in the mornings...Or enjoying the castle staff. I'm going to miss little Azri. That nymph of a vampire really knew how to cook. [11:54] I'm going to miss being tall, look sexy, and my large breasts. The real world me is a short, slightly-above-average, flat-chested girl; who needs glasses, can't function in the cold, and can't use magic. I should have used bikini-armor more often. My Elven F-cups would have turned heads if I wore armored spaghetti-string. [11:58:01] The sun fell beyond the horizon one last time. The Dusksingers sang their final note before turning in for the night. Sorrowful dreams will fill the minds of the people of the Aeris at the loss of their heroes, and they can't do anything about it. Some will join them to Elysium, or what they call the Real World. Their data, their souls, implanted in artificial bodies for our enjoyment, while those forced to stay? They will be erased from existence. Nothing will remain on the servers as they will be purged to make room for a new world—A New Game—for people to explore, to leave behind and forget the old one. [11:58:45] Stars twinkled brightly in the night sky. New constellations were formed when a Player killed one of the many Gods found on the world of Aeris. Several of them I don't know the names of, but I recognized seven. They shone the brightest. To the East protecting the Sunrise was, Lupus: The Blade of the Wind God. The Anthropian Wulfus wearing a traditional, pink, kimono with an Uchigatana held in his hand. [11:58:47] To the West defending against the rising dusk was, Deus: The Last Guardian. The High-Human Kirin with his leathery wings opened wide in humble defiance. [11:58:49] To the South hunting monsters lurking within the shadows was, Iris: The Arrow of Yggdrasil, a High-Elf with attitude, and hunting with her with a priestess staff in hand was, Serana: The Healer of Death. A High-Human that hates everyone and everything. She's a bitch, a loveable one, but a massive bitch nonetheless. [11:58:53] To the North burning everything in her path was: Azura: The Black Flame of the Apocalypse. She's the laziest, most unmotivated, bored, flirty drunk nine-tailed Kitsune in the world. Your better off asking an NPC for help with something rather than her. She's too much of a hassle sometimes. [11:59:34] To the North-East watching over Deus was, Gabriel: The Sword of Heaven. The luckiest cunt to make a character by pressing randomly on everything except for his name. He's literally an Angel Prince who has his own harem of sexy women. Lucky bastard. [11:59:45] Finally, in the center of all of them was me, Wisteria: The Goddess of Twilight. The Fairy-Elf Princess of Alfhiem with a title bestowed upon me by the remaining Gods that weren't hunted down for loot. She wore the very set of Mage Robes I'm currently wearing with one of my Grimoires held firmly and open in my left hand, and in an epic pose. Fucking glorious! [11:59:55] A sigh escaped my lips, "I'm going to miss seeing myself and my friends immortalized in the stars." [11:59:56] Tears streamed down my cheeks, "I'm going to miss my adorable little shop in the capital city of Acedia." [11:59:57] A sad smile formed on my sorrowful face as the stars began to fall from the sky, "I'm going to miss exploring this wonderful, wonderful world." [11:59:58] "...And most importantly..." I closed my eyes. [11:59:59] "...I'm going to miss..." My voice became shaky. Words struggled to escape my lips. [11:59:59:99] "...My Love..." The world went black. [00:00:00] "...Liliana..." [00:00:00] [00:00:01] [00:00:02] Author's Note 1 Centimeter = Aro (Named after the average width of an Arrow). 1 Meter = Bado (Named after the average length of a longsword). 1 Kilometer = Cader (Named after the average width of a small castle). The Imperial System is still used by certain countries and continents (Cause I’m too lazy to make a decent conversion system between the two). //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1: Hello Equis //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1: Hello Equis My body felt a little sore. My muscles get like that when I lay down in an awkward position for long periods of time. It's a common side effect when I delve into Virtual Reality, but something today felt especially off. It's like I fell asleep on a really bumpy floor. To make things even more strange. There is a breeze blowing in my room, which shouldn't be possible. I get cold easily, and hugging a snowman without clothes is the worst feeling in the world. Yawning in annoyance, I took off my helmet and confusion immediately scrambled my brain. I blinked, gnarled bark stood tall and imposing underneath the umbral umbrella of green. Scents of rain, mold, moss, animals, and a wonderful spectrum of wildflowers filled the air around me; filling my heart with warmth and peace caused by the surrounding forest. I can hear a waterfall echoing nearby. It sounded like a rough orchestra playing a tune of deep brass ever-rolling like thunder booming during a storm. It's music to my ears, but I couldn't enjoy it. The reason? I have no idea how I ended up in this forest in the first place! I quickly forced my body up to look before reaching for where my smartphone should be, however. It wasn't in its usual pocket above my heart. Instead, my hand found a pair of big, voluptuous breasts. I frowned, 'I don't remember my twins being that big. They should be cute little oranges. Not hand engulfing melons!' Looking down, I saw a sight that made my eyes go wide in shock. There, on my chest, underneath a garment made of stars, were a fucking pair of F-Cup tits! I can tell since they jutted out from my chest by at least six inches, however. That wasn't the most shocking fact. No. It was the sight of my Aetherial Dress of Twilight! Not only that, but the rest of my body had the very clothes I wore during my final moments in Valkyrie Quest! My God-tier Aetherial Mage-Set of Twilight! I stood up, and, without thinking. I cast the Tier-1 Spell—Ice Reflection—to summoned a ten-foot-tall mirror right in front of me. What I saw in the reflection was none other than Wisteria Selene Nocturnia Vel'roha of I'raurha. My in-game avatar! Wisteria stood at 177.8-Aro tall(5’10’’); she had long, thick, pitch-black, semi-flaming hair that reaches down to her lower back. She had naturally long, seductive, smokey eyelashes; deep azure-blue eyes, the oval face of a youthful goddess of beauty with a supermodel complexion, fair skin, angelic light-pink lips, and a cute button nose. She had an athletically sexy hourglass body with perfectly-shaped, and tightly-perky F-Cup breasts. She had enticing childbearing hips, long legs, physically thick and toned thighs, and a heart-shaped butt that was athletically firm with just enough baby fat to deliciously round it out. She's a Fairy Elf, and her 20.3-Aro(8 inches) pointed-ears hugged her skull tightly. I designed her to be God-tier sexy because I was a short, flat-chested, slightly above average girl in terms of appearance. She's everything I wanted to be; sexy, massive breasts, tall, but my family's genetics weren't too merciful. My averageness in everything made me a typical wallflower compared to other girls. I mean, Valkyrie Quest was a VRMMORPG fantasy game. One that I spent a whole decade in. I'm not the only person who created their avatar to be their idea form, and when the game was going to close down. I cried as if I lost the most important person in my life, but why am I still Wisteria? Am I still in the game? Do I want to leave the game? I need to find out. At least, to know what kind of situation I've found myself in. My right wrist has a special bracelet called: The Status Bangle. The Adventurers Guild sells the bracelet for a mere 15 Sil. Everyone, I mean everyone in Valkyrie Quest had one since it showed all information about your character, as well as act as identification for the various countries in the world of Aeris. Without it, one cannot allocate their Skill Points, Levels, Classes, and Perks; change their Titles, view their Quest Log, see their HUD, view their Mini-map, compass, and a bunch of other convenient information. Of course, the one bought from the Adventurers Guild is only the basic one. A player can buy a much better one that shows more accurate data or even create their own. I, of course, being the master smith and enchanter that I am; designed my own with features I particularly find useful. Such as an in-game cellphone, camera, music player, and I even managed to code in Asgardian Rune-script various games from the Millennial Era. I made a lot of money selling them whenever I returned to my shop. They are fun to make if I do say so myself! Other than that? They also show all the in-game settings like; Graphics, Audio, System, Adult, and so on. The bracelet is also the only way to Log Out of the game aside from the "emergency" way. And by the "emergency" way. The player has to die and Log Out during the Resurrection Sequence. Thus, I must destroy half the planet in order to kill myself to use the "emergency" way since my body and all of the passive abilities I've gathered throughout the years will heal all the damage I cause to myself within seconds. 'Well, maybe not half the planet. I could probably create a self-sustaining Tier-8 Time-Void Spell that will constantly erase my character's existence until I run out of Health Points, but I'm not that desperate or insane enough to actually make such a spell. I've accidentally summoned one-too-many pre-existence Void monsters in my life. Never again. Never. Again.' Horrifying thoughts aside, I turned on the bangle and saw something that made my heart stop. All the in-game settings were gone. All of it. No Graphics, No Audio, Adult, System, or the Log Out button. Everything else was there, but not the stuff I need. I don't think I'll need to know the amount of cash I have in my Storage Ring, my pictures, my music, or, well, maybe some music. I opened that one and played a song (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FRGdEBBKA-M) from my "Don't Lose Your Shit" playlist. As the wonderful music played inside my head, I went back to search for the Log Out button, but to no avail. I shook in place, eyes closed tightly as my heart pounded violently in my chest. My palms were sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy, but I remained steady. I stayed in place until my breathing returned to normal. When I opened my eyes again, tears streamed down my cheeks. Choked sobs echoed through the quiet forest. "There's no Log Out button," I barely whimpered out. "There's no Log Out button," I said again, a smile slowly forming on my face. "There's no Log Out button!" I cheered with a smile that reached ear to ear. "There's no Log Out button!" A creepy chuckle erupted silently from my lips. "THERE'S NO LOG OUT BUTTON!" I'm laughing in hysterics now. Clearly, my music didn't work on keeping me calm. I lost my shit at that moment, but I didn't care. I never have to return to that horrible, horrible world called: Earth. "THERE'S NO FUCKING LOG OUT BUTTON!" "WISTERIA ISN'T GOING ANYWHERE! YOU HEAR ME KING VI'ACEDIA! THIS FAIRY ELF BITCH IS NEVER GOING BACK! NEVER! I'M FREE! FREE! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" "GOODBYE EARTH AND HELLO WHEREVER THE HELL I AM!" Yes, not my proudest moment, going insane like that, however. It's one of the happiest moments I've had in a long, long time. I calmed down from my sudden explosion of insanity after a few minutes of laughing and cheering like a maniac. After reading all those stories about people waking up in another world with their video game character's stats. I really wanted to be one of them. Not for the power, but for the adventure; to travel around in my ideal body, to study magic, and acquire rare materials to create random inventions. Just thinking about all the new things I can find, the places I can explore! My body is trembling in excitement! "Alright, Wisteria. Calm down," I said, taking a deep inhale. "First, find a place to make a base. There is a town nearby if I'm judging the mana-signatures walking around the area north correctly. Let's go there to collect our shit and make a plan." Steeling myself, I grabbed my witch hat from the ground, cleaned it off with a simple Tier-1 cleaning spell before placing it securely on my head. I couldn't help but smile when using magic again. 'At least I don't need to re-learn it. That would have been a pain. The Magic System for Valkyrie Quest was difficult to master as is, and I don't want to waste time learning a new one.' Giggling to myself, I activated the enchantment—Fairy Flight—bound to my boots. A magical aura wrapped my body in a loving embrace. The sounds of beautiful chiming jingled around me as I floated into the air. Though, it's not as intimate as using a pair of wings when using an enchantment, however. It still is a wonderful feeling to fly under your own power; to soar through the sky amongst the birds and clouds. I took a deep breath with a smith permanently etched upon my face. I pumped more mana into my boots. This act sent me rocketing high into the air. Thankfully, my hat won't leave my head unless I personally take it off, and no one...wait, I forgot. Without the Adult Settings of Valkyrie Quest, the naughty parts of my body won't appear 'PG' to anyone trying to sneak a peak. Whatever. It's not like it matters with how skimpy female video game armor can be, or that the NPC's of Aeris cared. I personally made a few sets of God-tier Bikini Armor before for a few girls in the past. I even have a couple of sets I made for myself for...personal reasons. I know Liliana liked them...and now I'm depressed. Great. Slapping my cheeks from the unpleasantly heartwrenching thoughts of my forever-lost lover, or tried. Any thought involving that beautiful, loving, caring, affectionate, warm, kind, gentle, loyal, honest, and understanding Angel of Asgard tended to cloud my mind with a thunderstorm-worth of solemn emotions. I reached into my—Ring of Astral Storage—and pulled out a simple, humble, gold ring with decorative tribal markings etched in silver. My thumb caressed it longingly. I wondered how my Liliana is doing. 'Is she sad? Is she looking for me? Is she waiting for me to come home? Did I forget to turn off the stove again?' Were the sad questions constantly playing over and over in my mind. We knew I had to leave the world of Aeris, that I won't be able to return. I even had my own fully-customized android body given to me from Phoenix Studios as a gift for Liliana, but she didn't want to join me in the real world. I understand why. She didn't want to enter the body of a heartless golem, to be unable to fly or use magic again. I could never take her ability to fly away from her, not after seeing my beautiful Angel completely destroyed after losing them once already. I managed to fix her wings once I learned the Tier-7 Spell—Phoenix Restoration—but the terror never left her. "She stayed with me until the end. I'm glad we separated with a smile," I murmured sadly with a single tear caressing my cheek. I put on my wedding ring back on. It's not like it would affect the other enchanted rings on my left hand anyway. I don't know why I took it off in the first place. At the time, I guess it was too painful to look at? I don't remember, but I'm happy that it returned to its proper place. It made me feel...Complete. Yes, that sounds right. Wiping away my tears, I looked towards a small town located a mile north of my current location and immediately flew towards it. I desperately needed a distraction right now. I hoped the town would suffice, though knowing myself. I doubt it would last long. I landed outside of a small quaint village near what appeared to be a train station. Several people were walking around, dragging cargo off of a locomotive made in the shape of a pastry, of all things. Hey, I won't judge. It's not the weirdest thing I've seen over the years on the world of Aeris. That spot belongs to Loki's flying Castle of Random. 'Ah, the nightmares. I missed you.' As I walked off the platform, I couldn't help but notice all the stares I've been receiving. I don't blame them for gazing upon my epicness. My Aetherial Mage Set really was a sight to behold, especially when in combat. In its base form, it looked like a gothic dress made out of the night sky, stars, and black fire. Meanwhile, the combat form gave me the appearance of the Goddess of Death wrapped in a blazing inferno of starry flame. Well, they wouldn't be wrong in calling me the Goddess of Death. I do have that Ascended Class ready to be swapped into one of my Auxilary Class slots. I think I'll swap it back in later. My musings came to an end when I noticed something off about the town. I couldn't quite place it, but don't they feel rather...weak? I mean, I was the maximum level of Valkyrie Quest with the highest possible completion rate for all my Classes, but everyone around me felt as though they could die if I merely look at them, or release my Aura. Maybe even touch them? I need to know just to be safe. Activating the Tier-10 Spell—Omnipotent Astral Eyes of Infinite Possibilities—I looked around the local population for anything out of the ordinary. 'Weak. So unbelievably weak!' I screamed in my mind. 'The highest leveled person in this town is 32! And she's only a Generation-0 Neutral Mage! Everyone else is below 25! Twenty! Fucking! Five! Did I walk into a Beginner Village? That is the only possible reason for everyone to be so low!' Deactivating the Spell, I shook my head indignantly. I couldn't believe I would appear near a Beginner Village of all places. I'm a Level 1000 Arch Magister that holds several God-tier Classes and Titles. Placing me near such a weak area will only cause endless amounts of trouble for the local population. If this world followed the same rules as Aeris, then my very presence would draw in creatures at my level, or a few million monsters close to it. The Anti-Speed-Leveling Mechanic of Valkyrie Quest caused all monsters to ignore the strongest Player with a level discrepancy over fifty, and if there is a Player above a hundred? Raid-Level bosses will start spawning within the village via Summoning Circles endlessly until all high-level Players are dead. Not gone, dead. And all Players that die due to this Mechanic will spawn in another village at the other end of their starting continent. 'Well, I could take them all on as I did with the Seven Armies of Helheim, but then the landscape within a few ten-thousand square kilometers will be completely destroyed as a result. I don't want that to happen...Right now. I kinda' want to relax and do some studying for a bit.' Shaking my head, I continue my journey deeper into the village. If this world followed the same rules as Aeris, then I can easily turn this village into a Guild Town to prevent the endless monster hoards from destroying the place. I have a few scrolls left that I can use. I never needed to use them before after my Guild—The Trinity Seven—took over Laputa in Niflheim. The Loftwings that lived on the floating islands above the Land of Fog weren't all that happy about it, but they couldn't do anything to stop us. 'Not that they would dare, especially after I killed Lopteater from within his cage. Queen Zeria owes me too much after freeing the former capital of Skyloft from that fucking over-sized sky whale.' The village I've walked into had your typical houses that are timber-framed with distinct thatched roofs and overhanging upper floors. Nothing too special. Only buildings of importance or have marketable value are built with sturdier materials like clay bricks and shingled roofs. Most of those buildings surrounded a tall, tower-like, three-story building in the center of town, and from what I can see. There is even an Adventurers Guild right next to the Bank. I made that my first stop, but before I could make my way there. The highest leveled person in town decided to grace me with her presence. The girl in question stood roughly five-foot-six-inches tall, had an average hourglass body, six-inch pointed elven ears, C-cup, and rather perky breasts; dark-blue shoulder-length hair with a dark-purple and pink stripe on the left side; purple eyes, a cute nose, oval face, fair skin, and a rather stunning complexion. She wore a white dress shirt underneath a purple vest with both tucked into her mid-thigh purple plaid mini-skirt. She wore a tie that matched her skirt, black slip-on dress shoes, purple socks, and a silver analog watch on her left wrist. 'Three guesses to figure out her favorite color, and the first two don't count.' She didn't look all that special. The girl looked like your average schoolgirl studying magic, however. The boy standing at an adorable four-foot-six-inches tall, and in absolute terror, is special. I don't know if she knew, but an Arcano Drakian is one of the rarest humanoid dragon races in Aeris. He's wearing a cute green hoodie with purple lining, baggy jeans, and matching sneakers. Plus, his short, messy green hair looked absolutely precious! If only his emerald eyes didn't stare at me in soul-crushing terror. I would give him the legendary Boob-Face-Hug of Blissful Suffocation! 'Also, he's level 28. That makes him the second highest leveled person in town, even though he has yet to acquire a Primary Class. I'll help him out if he can prove himself to me. He's worth it.' "Ahem!" sounded a strained voice near me. I broke my inquisitive gaze from the trembling kid to find the rude person standing in front of me with a frown on her face. It was the purple-loving schoolgirl by the way. "May I help you?" I asked politely. "Yes, you may, Agent of Nightmare Moon," her eyes narrowed, her voice filled with venom. I tilted my head in confusion, "Agent of Nightmare Moon? I have no clue what you are talking about." In truth, I did. It's been several years since I've heard of that name. She kidnapped and sealed away the Fairy Queen of the Moon: Lunaria, in an attempt to cover the world in eternal darkness. Freeing the Fairy Queen was part of the Astral Library Chain-Quest in order to access the Realm of Fairies where the next part of the quest was. Not only did I fight Nightmare Moon, but several hundred Players who became tricked into serving her as well. That little side-quest was fun but very tedious in certain areas; mostly when fighting against other Players. I managed to complete that quest after finding Nightmare Moon in her castle hidden away in the Dream Realm, followed by killing her in an epic battle within a collapsing pocket-dimension. I earned the titles; "The Princess of Twilight, Saviour of the Fairies, Celestial Knight, Nightmare Vanquisher, Paragon of Dreams, Guardian of Dreams, Princess of Dreams, and Goddess of Dreams," from the Celestial Fairy Queens after defeating Nightmare Moon. As for the whole "Agent" business. That's further from the truth. In fact, if there is another Nightmare Moon plaguing this world, then I'm going to do unspeakable things to her—Very unpleasant, rapey, and borderline demonic things to her until she's dead or so broken that she can't live without me. "Don't lie to me. Your clothing gives you away!" shouted the girl in front of me. There were now a few people looking our way with confused expressions on their faces. I had to do something before the crowd got too big for my liking. Thus, I came up with a devious plan. "My clothing is the result of various cosmetic enchantments I've personally created and not some fairytale taken from some old book," I snorted in response. "Plus, I'm not an "Agent," or whatever you think I am. I'm an Adventurer just minding my own business until a little girl..." I pointed at her, "...started throwing around wild accusations at me because of how I look!" "Well, I—" I cut her off. "How racist can you be?! Is this how people of this country treat foreigners? I've only been in this country for a short period of time, and I'm already getting profiled for my fashion choice!" "That's not—" I didn't let her speak. To make things worse, a crowd started to form thanks to my loud voice and wild arm gestures. Her face gradually became more and more ashamed with each word I said. "Who the hell do you think you are?! Who gave you the "authority" to criminalize others based on their appearance!? Cause' I don't know!" I finished my rant with a huff. The poor girl and adorable Drakian both looked terribly ashamed. As for the rest of the group? I quickly shooed them away with a quick glare. "I'm s-sorry. I just assumed—" she whimpered out, but I cut her off again. "Never assume. It makes you look like a bad person," I spat before turning around, and continued my journey to the Adventurers Guild; leaving the sullen duo to wallow in their shameful embarrassment. oO-Oo-oO-Oo -oO-Oo -oO-Oo -oO-Oo -oO-Oo Twilight Sparkle Twilight Sparkle walked towards her temporary home in Ponyville with her head slightly lowered. She didn't know what to think after that strange Magi verbally shamed her in public for a major misunderstanding. The Magi looked like Nightmare Moon as Twilight envisioned her; wrapped in stars, semi-flaming vantablack hair that flowed in a non-existent breeze, tall, unbelievably sexy to the point that no one in the world could match her appearance, a voice capable of seducing a nation, and her eyes! She only looked into them for a moment, but when she did? Twilight felt as though she was staring into the eyes of the most dangerous being in existence. The amount of fear she felt in that brief second almost made her faint! Poor Spike had to change his pants when he made the same mistake she did. She bought him ice cream from Sugarcube Corner once he calmed down enough to breathe properly. After that whole ordeal, Twilight followed the Magi for a little bit to make sure that she wasn't Nightmare Moon. She kept her distance, only using magic to listen in on her conversations. Twilight learned her name and occupation from the Adventurers Guild. The strange Magi's name is Wisteria, and she's a traveling Mage that funds her research via Smithing, Enchanting, and Alchemy. A rather odd background, but considering that she originally wasn't from Equestria. It kinda' made sense. Twilight didn't learn her level, though, however. Judging by the reaction the receptionist had when looking at it when making Wisteria's Adventurers Licence, it must be extremely high if the Guild Master had to come out of her office to verify it. Aside from her exotic appearance, nothing Wisteria did was out of the ordinary, which only made Twilight feel more ashamed for what she did. Still, Wisteria's eyes bothered her greatly. They say the eyes are the "windows" of the soul. Twilight didn't believe in such superstitious nonsense. She's a girl of science and facts! Though, when she really thought about it. She can't deny that there was something seriously horrifying about that woman. She was a vicious dragon in sheep's clothing, hiding in plain sight, pretending to be normal. Wisteria may not be Nightmare Moon herself, but Twilight hypothesized that she is, somehow, related to her. Twilight Sparkle wouldn't realize just how wrong she wished she was at that moment. Author's Note I will put all the stats for all characters on the Google Doc linked in the prologue. That way, everything won't be cluttered and everyone can find all details for Spells, areas, enchantments and othere stuff without it killing the immersion and flow of the story //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: Hello Nightmare Moon //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: Hello Nightmare Moon I walked around town after exchanging my Astrill coins at the bank. Mostly to get a feeling for the quaint little village and to see if monsters would try to invade the place. It normally took half an hour before the GM's started sending Raid Bosses in, but after roaming around for three hours looking for a house to buy? Nothing happened, which made me very thankful. I didn't have to deal with the bullshit that came with being insanely overpowered anymore. I can finally explore areas I normally couldn't without hoards of monsters trying to kill me now! Huzzah! Ahem! Now, as for a place to set up shop? I found a nice storefront in Ponyville's Market Square—A perfect place for a business to thrive. My Astrill coins were worth a thousand Bit's per coin in the country that I've found myself in. So having a few million of them in my inventory meant that I wouldn't ever get broke for a few thousand years. That little detail filled my heart with relief. After paying for a construction company to modify the two-story building to my specifications, I made my way to the town's library for a party. A peculiar invite magically appeared in my inventory sometime during my jaunt through the town. I don't know how, but I found it interesting. Many of my adventures began with a simple invitation. I bet this one will be just as amusing. Even a Quest appeared in my logbook! So this party must be important. I slowly made my way towards a tree near the center of town. That's where the party is according to the invitation. Though, as I got closer to the several story tall tree, my eyes went wide in astonishment. 'Is that an Eldergleam? Those trees are native to Alfheim! How in Hell did this baby end up here?! Oh, the poor thing. I bet its gardener is no longer in this world. Well, now that I'm here. I'll be sure to take care of you! You won't need to sleep for long!' I carefully walked up to the thick bark of the magical tree. Eldergleams are special trees that generate natural Life Mana and spread it throughout its surroundings; purifying the earth from all taint and evil. These trees need a special individual to grow up properly without defects, or else they'll destroy the land around them. Druids would be the ideal candidate, but I know for a fact that there isn't one in this town. To grow an Eldergleam is to live alongside one for the rest of your life. Unless you can live for thousands of years, you should never try to cultivate an Eldergleam without major preparation, and the one before me is all alone. It breaks my heart, knowing she lost her parent far, far too soon. I gently rubbed my fingers against her bark, "Don't worry girl. I'll take care of you now that I'm here. You'll never be alone again. I promise." Moving away from the tree, I noticed a sign next to a door leading into the tree. My blood began to boil in vicious rage when I saw it, but I kept my calm. Exploding now wouldn't do me any good. Golden blood dripped down from my fists from how hard I was clenching them. 'How dare they! How dare they gut this child and turn her into...into...a fucking joke! I'm going to kill the bitch who turned the baby into a Freya-damned Libary of all things!' Grinding my teeth, I went for the door and found that the party inside had already started. I didn't need to knock to announce my arrival since the door opened for me. There, inside the door frame was a cotton candy pink-haired girl with light-blue eyes. She wore a light pink shoulder-less dress covered in balloons, an equally pink mini-skirt, pink dress shoes, several balloon-shaped bracelets, and a light-pink thong. (The skirt barely covered it in the first place.) She had D-cup breasts, and she had a pear-shaped body with a very curvy rump. She spoke with an annoyingly high-pitched, chirpy voice. "Oh, my, gosh! You made it! Welcome to the late night super epic Summer Sun Celebration Party!" she cheered gleefully clapping her hands. "Come in, come in!" Yes, she dragged me into the room filled with loud music, talking people, and food, against my will. I instantly despised her. I never liked overly hyper people in the first place. Not after having to deal with Loki for Gods know how long. It's amusing at first, but extremely grating once the novelty wore off. I made my hand incorporeal to free myself from the stranger's grasp. The second I let go of her hand, however. Everyone's eyes were instantly on me. I waved politely before making my way to the food table. They went back to what they were doing. 'Crisis averted!' "Hello, Darling. I absolutely love what're wearing!" praised a posh-sounding woman from out of nowhere. 'Nevermind!' I turned around after filling a cup with spiked punch, (even though I can't get drunk anymore), to find two girls looking at me. One had stylishly-curly purple hair, flawless skin, an amazing complexion, dark-greyish-blue eyes framed with long lashes; a well-balanced hourglass body, D-cup breasts, stood five-foot-eight-inches tall, and six-inch pointed ears attached to her skull. She wore a one-piece white dress, purple high-heels, a gold chain around her neck, diamond earring studs on both ears, and a diamond ring on her right hand. She was rather below average when it came to Elven beauty standards, the other girl, on the other hand. She must have a bit of Asgardian in her blood. She was the same height as the other woman, but she had long cherry blossom pink hair, aqua eyes, the fair skin, an angelic complexion, and a face capable of melting the coldest of hearts. She wore a tight-fitting, butter-yellow turtleneck sweater that barely hid her G-cup boobs, skinny jeans that showed off her magnificent butt and legs quite well, and cute yellow slippers. Her entire body screamed, "Innocent Beauty," which made me glad that I didn't have my old body. I would have felt rather inadequate in her presence. Then there were her butter-yellow wings attached to her back. The tips of her silky feathers barely touched the ground while the elbows reached to the top of her head. Her wings are perfect according to Asgardian standards, but they're not as pretty as Liliana's. I will forever stand beside that fact. I gave the posh-sounding Magi a practiced smile, "Thank you. I like (not really) what you're wearing as well." Her eyes lit up with pride. It's as if I complimented her own work. I sure hope not. Her dress is quite bland and basic. "Oh, perish the thought. It's just something I quickly whipped up before the party. It's nothing compared to your ensemble. Can you tell me where you came across such a wonderful garment? It would really make me happy," she prattled on like an annoying noble. The other girl, meanwhile, only stood there in shy silence. I'll leave her alone for the moment. Now! Time to destroy the other woman's dreams. "The fabric used to make my robes might be too expensive for your wallet, um, what's your name again?" I inquired back. "Oh, where are my manners!" the purple-haired girl gasped. "My name is, Rarity Belle, and my companion standing quietly beside me is Fluttershy. May I ask for your name as well, Darling?" "I'm Wisteria Selene Nocturnia Vel'roha of Alfheim," I bowed politely. "It's nice to meet you both." Her eyes went wide in shock, "My, such a long and noble name! But I'm not familiar with this "Alfheim," that you mentioned. Is it a foreign country?" "Indeed it is," I replied honestly. There's no point to lie about my original character's origins. I might as well use it for my own personal gain. I'm the one that wrote Wisteria's backstory in the first place. It even became canon in the game! That really made me happy when I found out about it. "I'm quite familiar with all the countries in the world, and I have never heard of yours. Is it, perhaps, new to the world?" She gave me a calculating look. I quickly read her mind with the Tier-6th Spell—Mental Cartography—just to make sure she isn't lying. She wasn't. I quickly made up a lie based on all the information I acquired from her. I didn't like what I learned when it came to Equestrian magic. Censoring most of it is fucking retarded. "Alfheim is a country far to the west passed the ocean. We're mostly an isolationist land due to conflicting beliefs when it comes to the study and mastery of magic. Celestia and my Mother don't get along all that well," I snorted at the end with honest disdain. Rarity almost tripped where she stood, but before she could voice her next opinion. Pinkie Pie, (the one who invited me), pointed to the door. "It's almost time for the Summer Sun Celebration! Everyone, to the Town Hall! Eeeeee!" I gave her a shrug and followed the pink girl back to the Town Hall. "Isn't this exciting? Are you excited, 'cause I'm excited, I've never been so excited—well, except for the time that I saw you walking into town and I went," she paused to let out a deep gasp before continuing, "but I mean really, who can top that?" I gave the Twilight Sparkle, who I learned from Rarity's memories, a sympathetic smile for having to deal with Pinky Pie. I stood some in the middle of the crowd within a circular building. It's the same building I entered earlier to buy the deed for the store. Hundreds of people all gathered around to watch Celestia "raise" the sun. That's a massive lie if I've ever heard one. For one, it's impossible for a being of such immense power to walk amongst the mortal populace of the world. Just their mere presence would destroy everything they walked passed. Another reason is their magic; even the most simple of spells has the potential of destroying entire mountains in seconds. Celestia can't raise the sun and live amongst her people. She can do one, but not the other, and since she does the latter. My guess is that she placed a massive perception filter in the sky through a medium of some kind. Her "Spell" is just her connecting to the medium to start up the illusion. As for lowering the moon? I doubt it also. If she were to move it across the sky at the speed that the eye can track, then the resulting tidal waves created will flood the entire planet. It must be part of her "Spell" as well. 'What a fucking manipulative liar,' I thought as the town mare walked onto the balcony to give her speech. "Ladies and Gentlemen, as mayor of Ponyville, it is my great pleasure to announce the beginning of the Summer Sun Celebration!" she declared to the raucous cheers of the crowd. "In just a few moments, our town will witness the magic of the sunrise, and celebrate this, the longest day of the year! And now, it is my great honor to introduce to you the ruler of our land, the very pony who gives us the sun and the moon each and every day, the good, the wise, the bringer of harmony to all of Equestria..." she paused to allow Fluttershy's birds to get ready to sing, which I found rather delightful. Beast-tamers are a rare treasure. "...Princess Celestia!" The curtains fell, music played, everyone cheered, but there was no Princess. When everyone else realized this fact, they all collectively began to worry. Not me. I found it exciting! My Quest Log Updated to tell me to find the "Missing" Princess. In other words: An Event Quest! I instantly started looking around to see anything new will happen, and something did! Blue wisps of Dream Mana flew into the room, collecting on the balcony where Celestia should have been. I automatically recognized it as the Tier-3 Spell—Dream Shroud—and giggled like a child. 'A Lunarmancer! Another Lunarmancer! Yay! It's been years since I met another one! Eeheehee!' When the shroud fully-formed on the balcony, a tall, sexy Asgardian appeared from within the starry smoke. My smile dropped before morphing into a vicious snarl. She stood six-feet-one-inch tall, had a perfect in every way hourglass body; flawless fair skin, jade-like complexion, a demonically-seductive face, draconic teal eyes, F-cup breasts, and hair made of stars that reached all the way down to her deliciously curvy butt and thickly-toned thighs. She wore thigh-high hooker high-heel hooker boots, armored panties made of silver and black metal; an armored, cleavage-showing bra made from the same metal as her panties, and she wore a black, tattered cloak attached to her panties. Plus, she had a pair of massive raven-black wings out on display for everyone to see. As for her Aura? How can I ever forget her vile Aura! There's only one person in all of Aeris with an Aura like hers! "NIGHTMARE MOON YOU BITCH! HOW DARE YOU SHOW YOUR FUCKING FACE TO ME AGAIN AFTER WHAT YOU DID TO QUEEN SOLARIA!" I screamed in pure, unrelenting rage as I summoned my battle scythe: Crescent Moon! Nightmare looked down at me with a mocking grin for a brief moment, but when she took a good look at me. Her eyes went wide in absolute, unrestrained, pure, unrelenting terror! I dashed straight for her throat, hoping to slice her head clean off of her body with my scythe! "I'M GOING TO FUCKING KILL YOU!" Third Person Wisteria lunged at Nightmare Moon faster than the eye could see. One moment, she stood near the center of the crowd amongst the residents of Ponyville, the next? Her scythe made out of the night sky with a blade forged from liquid moonlight slashed forward, hoping to remove the skull from Nightmare Moon's shoulders, but it didn't find its mark. Instead, it slashed through the same wispy smoke Nightmare originally came out of. The force of the slash, however, was enough to cut the entire Town Hall in half. Twilight could only watch in paralyzing fear as the top half of the building she's in fell over to the side, crashing onto the square loudly while also revealing the twinkling stars above. The most frightening part of the entire exchange? She didn't even feel a single kiss of wind from the attack. It simply—happened, without evidence. Nightmare Moon reformed her body in the air, her wings fluttering like a beautiful swan, but her face filled with fear; her body trembled, tears streaked down her face in fright. Twilight didn't understand why she was afraid of the hovering woman she met a few hours earlier. What she did know, was it was her chance to find the Elements of Harmony to stop them both from destroying Equestria! Meanwhile, Wisteria glared pure death at the women shivering before her. No one, not even King Acedia, pissed her off more than the putrid filth of a woman in front of her. She gripped her scythe tightly in her hands, grinding her teeth into powder, her eyes narrowed into slits. She remembered the day she freed Lunaria from her wretched grasp; how she sobbed in her arms after being used for a sick instrument of pleasure for her amusement. Queen Lunaria couldn't talk properly nor could look into another man's eyes without trembling in fear. She remembered all the vile things Nightmare Moon did to her best friend, how she tortured her, raped her, abused her, had her family try to kill her. It sickened Wisteria to her very core! Then there are all the things Nightmare did to Queen Solaria. Oh, how heart burned with vicious fury! She wanted, no, she needed to destroy that Night Wraith into so many pieces that not even the creatures of the Void can put her back together again! Wisteria put away her scythe for the time being and replaced it with a book made of black fire. Its name is Nosferatu: The Grimoire of Death. Nightmare Moon gulped. "Now, now. No need to pull out that monstrosity, Empress Wisteria," Nightmare chuckled nervously as sweat fell down her brow. "Can we let bygones be bygones? Sure I tortured the Celestial Fairy Queens for over a millennium, but that's all in the past, right? Can we relax and communicate like rational adults for a moment? P-Please?" Wisteria raised her right hand, pointed it at Nightmare Moon before chanting, "Triple Maximize Widen Over-charged Magic, Tier-10 Hyper-spell—Lunar Nova!" Nightmare Moon's eyes turned to pinpricks, mouth trembling agape. Tears streaked down her face like rivers. She felt her panties grow damp with her own urine dribbling down her leg. A silver runic circle made of hundreds of smaller circles, pentagrams, runes, hexagrams the size of the Town Square; appeared in front of her before a blinding white light collided with her body. Wisteria snorted as the Lunarmancy Spell activated, destroying everything in the path of the beam. Houses, trees, the very earth; nothing remained where her Spell touched. No sound came from the Spell, only a flash of white light then...Nothing. Wisteria stared blankly at the three-mile-wide scar on the planet that reached beyond the horizon. It even touched the sea. She swapped out Nosferatu for her other Grimoire—Gaia: The Book of Earth, before touching the ground with her right palm. "Triple Maximize Over-charged Magic, Tier-10 Hyper-spell—Nativity of a World of Trees!" Ponyville got to bear witness to another miracle as the mysterious woman repaired all the damage she did to the Everfree Forest in an instant. As for Nightmare Moon? Her heavily wounded, burned, body laid at the body of a ravine. Wisteria easily found the possessed Asgardian without much difficulty. She walked towards the naked, whimpering body, with hands firmly clenched. Wisteria knew how strong Nightmare is from her previous fight, but at the time. They were both equally matched. The difference now is that Night Wraiths can't grow passed Level-300, even when they take control of a host. So the odds of them surviving going against a Level-1000 God Slayer? Non-existent, no matter who they possess. Wisteria loomed over the sobbing body of Nightmare Moon, her right hand glowing in a golden light. She pointed at the woman and chanted, "Tier-7 Restoration-spell—Phoenix Down." Wisteria watched as Nightmare's entire body glowed in golden, twinkling light for a moment. If it weren't for the girl Nightmare was possessing, she would have finished her off. The girl didn't deserve to share the same fate as the filth embedded in her body. She'll heal her first, followed by removing Nightmare from her body, then giving the creature its own for the sole purpose of turning it into a slave. Wisteria shall only kill the demon once she has no more use for her. And as the Queen of the entire Demon Race in the Multiverse, it's her right to punish her creatures as she sees fit! Before Nightmare finished healing, Wisteria activated the Tier-10 Spell—Impure World Reincarnation—To summon forth her old body. Next, she pulled out a crystal attached to a black chain from her inventory before putting it around the neck of the empty body sleeping in the wooden coffin standing beside her. It's a God-Tier Binding Contract called: Chains of Tartarus, making it perfect for enslaving the Night Wraith since it only works on demons. With all that done, she prepared her final Tier-10 Spell—Hand of the Shimmering Isle—and waited for her first spell to finish healing the monster. "Oh, what hit me?" Nightmare groaned in pain when Phoenix Down finished repairing her body. Wisteria didn't waste any time to grab Nightmare's soul from within the body she possessed. Wisteria saw the sudden realization of what was happening in Nightmare's eyes, but she didn't care. She pulled the demon from the body before she could react, stuff it into its old one, followed by purging whatever remained from the young girl's body. No scream echoed throughout the quiet forest, nor a plead for mercy. Wisteria next used the Tier-10 Spell—Samsara Rebirth—on Nightmare's body, making it a truly alive flesh and blood body. Once Nightmare readjusted herself in her old body, she saw Wisteria standing in front of her with her arms crossed underneath her chest. The only sound from the forest was a question that came from Wisteria's lips. "Now we can talk."
