Previous Chapter

I rise into my fighting position, facing the archangel with a grin, “Yeah, yeah, I don’t really about who you think I am. Look, you want to invade my kingdom? Fine. You want to kill Celestia? I really don’t give a shit. But you want to kill a colt? That is a step too far.”

He twirls his sword around, “God could care less about what you think is too far. Your death shall be quick.”

I smile, “Yeah, sure. Why don’t you actually do something already?”

He flies towards me, thrusting forward with his sword. I easily step to the side, and meet his charge with a punch. He is sent in another direction, yet it seems to not do much damage to him.

I nod as I look upon him once more, “Seems you are stronger than I thought. Whelp, looks like it’s time for the big boy fists!”

My hooves are coated with metal, stone, and crystal. He charges at me once more, allowing me to grapple around his neck, and force him to the ground. I punch him once before rolling back to my hooves.

He floats back to the ground, his wings only beating once, “I know this isn’t all you have, heretic. Show me your true power!”

I smile, “That’s exactly what you want, isn’t it? If I show you my power here, you can teach all your archangel buddies about how to defeat me. You’re a clever cunt, but a cunt all the same. Besides, I don’t stand alone.”

At this time, an angel comes flying through the window, “Sir, the guard have been freed! They’re putting up a fight!”

Uriel doesn’t stop looking at me, “Worry about them later, we have a heretic to deal with first.”

The angel looks over at me, and draws his own sword, “Then let us hurry, Uriel.”

Uriel flies towards me once again, and the other angel fires a beam of white energy towards me. I instinctively draw out my whiskey flask, and use it to try and block the beam.

To my surprise, it seems the magic absorbs itself into the flask, making it glow the same amber color as my eye with my Element. I swing the flask into the face of Uriel as he gets close.

It strikes him with stunning force, and it sends the beam of energy back out. It blasts Uriel back, until he slams against the far wall next to the window.

I then face the other angel as I put away my flask. He charges towards me, intent on decapitation. In response, I jump far up into the air, “Discord!”

A giant rubber mallet appears in my hooves, and I bring it down upon the angel. It squashes him into the floor, like I’m playing whack-a-mole. He even seems to pop back up a tiny bit like a spring.

I try to land correctly as the mallet disappears, but I’m thrown off by the new weight on my back. I fall to the ground with a loud thump, causing me to lose my breath.

As I try to recover my breath once more, Uriel takes his chance. His blade finds itself right in front of my neck, “You are a worthy opponent, heretic. Your moral code seems good... from what I’ve seen. Please, don’t squander my offer, Prince.” He holds out a hand, “Join me under our glorious God, and you will become the fifth archangel. Shed your previous name, please. Become Jeremiel, join us.”

I laugh slightly as I regain my breath, “Not going to lie... Jeremiel sounds like a pretty gay name.”

Uriel sighs, “Please, could thou not just see reason?”

I smile, “I am seeing reason here, I just see my reason and not your own. Besides, who’d want to join with somebody who’s about to get stabbed from behind?”

He twirls around, facing away from me, “What!?”

Luna flies in from above me, sword grasped within her hooves. She stabs him right between his two wings, going through to his chest, and rams into him with enough force to send him onto the ground, and remove her blade from his body.

She lands beside me, and helps me to my hooves, “You are alright, Chem?”

I nod, “Yep, totally.”

She shakes her head, “You really shouldn’t be fighting so soon.”

I look over to her, “Well, I am needed for the plan. Remember step two of the ‘saving Canterlot from forgin invaders’ plan? Impossible without me.”

She sighs, “Yes, but you could’ve reopened your wounds. You still aren’t used to your new-“

I shake my head, “I know, I know. That isn’t important. Some colt was going to die, I had to save him.”

Uriel crawls away as we talk, until he flies up a bit, “You have all squandered your chances, you blasphemous heretics. God’s wrath shall come down upon this world like hellfire!”

He flies through the roof, bursting it open. We see angels from all around he city flying into the air, most with heavy wounds and severe injuries.

I look at the one unconscious angel, and Luna does as well, “We shall take him prisoner. The dungeons shall have fun with him.”

I shake my head, “No, no, I can take care of him. I don’t know why, but something speaks to me about him. Give me a room, isolated and alone with him restrained.”

She nods, “Then what about our recruiting effort?”

I smile, “I can take care of that as well. I think you would be best at training our new guards in how to battle angels.”

She looks over to me, “Are you sure you are alright?”

I nod, “Yes, I am fine. Just... something about this angel makes him stand out to me.”

She nods, “Very well then. We shall get you two an interrogation room.”

I smile, “Wonderful. Oh, and if demons start crawling up from Tartarus, don’t worry. I got us some new allies.”
