This is my first story and I decided to make it about Tempest Shadow (Fizzlepop Berrytwist)! I enjoyed the good side of her that I caught at the end of the MLP movie, and I wanted to carry the story on to her life in Ponyville after the Storm King was defeated. Let me know what you think, and I'm open to criticism! (Also I don't own any of these characters, Hasbro created them. Yeah. They do the creating, I do the writing.)

Chapter One~Fizzlepop Berrytwist
Fizzlepop Berrytwist opened her eyes to find an angry minty-green unicorn glaring at her. "Um, hi?”
“Bon Bon was sitting there, Tempest,” the unicorn hissed. Her horn began to sparkle with greenish-blue aura surrounding it. Though Fizzlepop doubted the unicorn had meant to show it off, the sheer use of magic made her wince, remembering that her own magic didn’t work due to her broken horn. The one the Storm King had promised to fix. She should have never trusted him.
“So move it!”
Fizzlepop jerked her head up, having momentarily forgotten the unicorn. “Sorry. I was thinking. I’ll move.” She got to her hooves, stretching, and instantly her spot on the bench was taken by a light yellow pony with dark blue and bright pink hair.
“Don’t be so rude, Lyra,” the pony who Fizzlepop assumed was Bon Bon, said. “She’s changed, and she’s proven it. She helped take down the Storm King. And don’t forget she risked her life to save Princess Twilight and her friends.”
Lyra rolled her eyes and flipped her green and white mane. She slid down onto her stomach and brought out a newspaper. Equestria Daily, from the looks of it.
Fizzlepop turned around and began to walk towards Twilight’s castle. As she approached the castle, she took in every detail of it. Twilight herself said that it had been created by the Tree of Harmony. Up until then, Fizzlepop had thought the Tree was an old mare’s tale, but then the Princess of Friendship had taken her to it to show her. It was a magical sight, and the castle itself was just as magical.
Fizzlepop pushed open the huge golden door and walked inside. Twilight and her friends were about the only ponies that fully trusted her. And even then, Rainbow Dash was still a tiny bit untrustful, and so were some of the others, and she couldn’t blame them. Bon Bon was the only pony who made a genuine effort to be kind. And Fizzlepop appreciated the effort.
“Fizzlepop!”
Fizzlepop swung her head upwards, searching for the pony the voice belonged to. Standing on the balcony was Twilight and a certain pink earth pony was standing right beside her. Of all Twilight’s friends, Pinkie Pie was the first to accept her, and although Fluttershy was kind, Pinkie was bright and open to Fizzlepop right from the beginning whereas Fluttershy was timid and afraid of her for a while.
“Heyyyy,” Pinkie shouted, sliding down the spiral banister. “What’s up Fizzie? The ponies in Ponyville warming up to ya yet?”
Fizzlepop smiled warmly at her friend before replying, “Not really. Well, there was one pony, Bon Bon-”
“Was Lyra with her? Tell me Lyra was there. She was, right?” The pony jumped up and down, and Fizzlepop’s head spun after watching her jump up and down, up and down, up and-
“Alright Pinkie, give her some space,” Twilight said, fluttering down to meet both of the ponies. “Remember what I said about chilling out? You should chill out right now.”
A small laugh emitted from Fizzlepop before she said, “Yes, Lyra was there.”
“Aha!” Pinkie Pie shrieked. “I knew it. They’re always together. They must be dating. No pony spends every living hour with one of their best friends!”
“Don’t you do that..?”
“Well, uh, now you mention it, yeah!” Pinkie exclaimed. She tapped her hoof to her chin. “Buuuut, I am just so sure those two are together! I’m investigating, you know.”
“Maybe we don’t meddle in other ponies’ relationships and instead worry about ourselves?” Twilight offered. She unfolded her wings. “Let’s go upstairs. Pinkie and I were just in the smaller library upstairs.”
“Yeah!” Pinkie confirmed. Then she paused, confused. “Wait, what were we even doing in there?”
“Looking for a baking recipe for you,” the purple alicorn reminded her.
“Ohhhh yeah, let’s go!” Pinkie bounced up the stairs and out of sight.
Fizzlepop shook her head and shot a grin at the princess. “That pony is so crazy and silly. But she’s pretty great.”
Twilight nodded her agreement, then gave a small but genuine smile that was filled with warmth. “You really do fit in here, you know that? Some ponies haven’t gotten around to acknowledging it yet, but you really do fit in. I’m glad you decided to join us.” Then the alicorn flapped her wings and rose up to the balcony with Fizzlepop racing up the stairs.
“Found it!” Pinkie’s high-pitched voice trilled through the air. She climbed down from the enormous stack of discarded books. “Grass Green’s Green Edition of Green Baking!”
Fizzlepop would have been shocked or confused or something like surprised, but she knew Pinkie too well. Of course Pinkie would want a green baking book.... Whatever that meant.
Pinkie waved a hoof in goodbye to the other two ponies and dashed off to Sugarcube Corner where she was going to undoubtedly create something from the recipe book.
Fizzlepop grimaced and said, “Sorry, Twilight. I would help you reshelve all these books, but...” She motioned to her horn and lack of magic. “It’s a challenge to pick them up with my hooves.” “
"Not to worry,” Twilight answered, and her horn glowed pink for a few moments. All the books were levitated for a second, hovering in midair before they all started flying into their respective places. The room was clean in a couple seconds. Fizzlepop gaped at the alicorn in awe. She knew alicorns were powerful, but aside from Cadence’s little display in Canterlot before she was turned to obsidian, she hadn’t seen much alicorn magic. And it wasn’t like shelving books was that amazing, it was that there were thousands of books and to lift all of them at once... When she still had her magic, Fizzlepop could only lift around twenty things at a time, thirty if she was lucky.
"Magic’s kinda my thing,” Twilight added, as Fizzlepop just stood in shock. “No need to stare like that. Just a little magic.” After a pause, she quickly added, “Sorry. I didn’t mean to rub it in about your horn or-ugh, I’m sorry.”
Fizzlepop shook her head. “It’s fine.” She gave a small smile. At least Twilight didn’t mean to offend, unlike some other ponies. She trotted out of the room, calling, ‘I’m going to visit Sweet Apple Acres for some apple juice Spike asked me to pick up earlier!”
