A steady beat blast out from the dubstep set. Twilight levitates a microphone to her lips and starts to sing. Surprisingly she has an elegant voice compared to hers. She turns her head to find Applejack dancing with some ponies she has never seen before. Near by she finds Rarity talking to some fashion pony. She looks the other w ay to find an over stuffed Pinkie Pie.
She chuckles to herself as she sees everypony have a good time. Even Fluttershy is having fun. She paws at the ground after she realizes she has nopony to hang out with. She coughs nervously and excuses herself to the punch table. She sighs as she reaches the punch table. She picks up the spoon and pours herself a cup of punch. How can she be the one not having fun. She takes a swig of her drink. She looks over at Twilight who has now stopped singing. She takes another drink as she feels a hoff on her shoulder.
She instictivly turns around to find a stallion. At first she doesn't reconize the stallion, but then he speaks.
"Hiya Dashie, umm am I interuppting anything?", he asks in a surprisingly soft tone. She struggles to find words as Soarin stares at her begging for a response.
"Uhh, no of course not", she responds while smiling sheepishly. Soarin chuckles at Rainbows reaction. "It always happens", he thought.
"What was that?", Rainbow asks. "Nothing", Soarin resonds quickly.
Rainbow chuckles softly at Soarin. He gives her an unapproving look. This makes her laugh even more. Soon he starts laughing with her. Suddenly a flash of light obsucres her eyesight.
She pulls her hoof up to her eyes a pain. "Are you okay", Soarin asks seemingly caring for her. "Yeah just some light got in my eyes", Rainbow responded while trying to look as cool as possible.
He chuckles a bit more and responds,"When you're famous, you learn to deal with stuff like that". She shoves him teasingly as he continues,"Those ponyrazzi do get annoying, just trying to take any picture of you".
She senses the sudden change in tone in his voice and stretchs her hoof on his back. He flinches slightly in distress but soon gets comfortable. He looks up at the sky and her eyes follow in suit.
"When I was a little colt, sometimes I would just stare up at the sky like this", Soarin said as a tear comes to his eye. To her it must have resurfaced some old memories for him. She cuddles him softly.
"Want to go up on that cloud", Soarin asked now turned towards her with that same goofy grin. He flies up while Rainbow Dash exlaiming,"Now that's the Soarin I know".
She follows him up to the cloud he had just landed on. She smiles as see to makes it to the cloud. "Having fun", he asks while falling flat on his back. "Of course", she responds while following in suit. "You know you look cute in that dress" he says. "Oh", was the only response that was coherent as she blushed. He could only chuckle.
They move closer as Rainbow's blush intensifies. Her heart skips a beat as he to starts to blush. They inch toward each other and they both smile." What was thisa feeling between me and Soarin", Rainbow thought. Now they were right next to each other as their blushes became redder. Their lips began inching towards the other. Their lips were close to kissing when a call seperated them.
"Rainbow, it's time to go", Twilight called from below.
Rainbow sighed as her night was ended early. "You know Dashie i'm free tomorrow, maybe we can go out to dinner. In Ponyville", Soarin asked. She blushed once more and responds, "Yeah sure, you can come by my house at about 5:30 p.m."
"Sounds like a plan" he says as Rainbow gets ready to take off. "See ya later", Rainbow responds as she takes off. He chuckles to himself and smiles. "Sounds like a plan", he mumbles to himself.

Rainbow yawns as she stumbles out of bed. She stand up straight and continues to walk to her kitchen. Her caffiene deprived body needs some coffee. She grabs and pours a cup of instant coffee and presses brew. A familar bubbleing sound comes out of the coffee maker as she smiles.
She makes her way over to the bathroom and starts to mess with her mane. It's a shame that she has to go to work today. With her mane in place she heads back to the kitchen and pours herself some fresh coffee. She begins to recount her time with Soarin.
She smiles wider as she finishes her cup of coffee. She had always admirered Soarin for his flying ability, not his looks. But now she was going to have a date with him. It made her blush when she thought of date.
She had to get to work soon so she could set upo the weather. Maybe after work she can talk to Rariety about this. Then it was decided but now she needed to go.

Soarin awoke smelling his furnished house. He shook his head as his most recent dream lingered into his mind. He chuckled nervously as he would never do that to Dashie.
He lifted himself out of bed and yawned. He made his way to the window to look at the view. Did he have feelings for Rainbow Dash? Well he did kind of stick around her at the Gala. But that didn't mean anything, right?
Then he invited her to dinner in Ponyville. So many thoughts raced through his mind like the Wonderbolts. He chuckled a bit at the analogy. Did she return the feelings? He couldn't know for sure until he asked. he was so used to just having a mountian of mares willing to get banged but he never had feelings for one of them. But Dashie wasn't like other mares.
Then it was decided he would ask if she had feelings for him too. He smiled at his break through. "First though, I need to get cleaned up", he thought as he headed towards his shower.
