Two weeks after Cadence woke up Sunset, Sunshine and Cadence were outside of the castle, Sunshine grinned “It’s time to show you around the city, I have been waiting to give Sunset the tour but she always was too busy.”

Sunset frowned “It’s not my fault I want to stay combat ready, we have been attacked a lot lately.”

Cadence grimaced “I can’t blame you all in all honesty, those bastards have been torturing me for over a century. I’m just glad I never met their boss.”

Sunshine snorted “Enough of that depressing nonsense.” She then smiled “I know a great arcade where the three of us can have some fun.”

Cadence raised an eyebrow “Is she always like this?”

Sunset shook her head “Not really, she is quite serious usually. She just wants us to have fun. Let’s just follow her before she get impatient.”

They arrived in a small arcade, several arcade games were placed in various locations across the room. Sunshine shouted “Come on, let’s play space invaders.”

Sunset sighed “Alright, fine I’ll play.”

Cadence frowned as Sunset joined in with Sunshine. Sunshine was beaming but Sunset was clearly not entertained despite having twice the score of her partner, Cadence sighed “Sunshine I don’t think this is working.”

Sunshine blinked as she paused the game “Why not, we’re having fun aren’t we Sunset?”

Sunset frowned “Not really, I prefer the outdoors to being inside. The smell of the wind and rain brings me peace, I’m not one for advanced technology.”

Sunshine slumped “Oh, I was just hoping you would enjoy playing games with me.”

Cadence sighed “Me and Sunset have seen some pretty harsh stuff over our lifetimes, we struggle to find joy in this kind of activity.”

Sunshine smiled weakly “Then what do you two enjoy?”

Cadence whispered something in Sunset’s ear, Sunset smiled “We’ll show you but we have to leave the city. Follow us.”

Sunset, Cadence and Sunshine left the building. Sunset and Cadence then burst into the air, Sunshine followed trying to keep up with the other two. Soon they arrived in a empty plain in sightlines of the city.”

Sunshine blinked “There is nothing here?’

Cadence grinned “Exactly, now we can fight without worries.” Her pink aura flared out causing the ground to shake violently.

Sunset grinned “Let’s go!” Her red and black aura flared out as she joined Cadence in the air.

Cadence and Sunset began swinging punches at one another countering blow for blow. Cadence grinned as she delivered a mighty uppercut to Sunset’s jaw “Those wizards poisoned me, they didn’t face me head on. I have been waiting to get some fighting in.”

Sunset recovered with her own grin as she recovered and then dove at Cadence punching her into the ground creating a mighty crater “Luna told me you were a soft pink pony made of candy, I’m glad that she was wrong.”

Cadence teleported behind Sunset and kicked her in the back “I was like that but a few thousand years of trying not to get captured or killed by humans tends to make you tougher.”

Sunset grinned as she recovered “It’s certainly made you tougher, even Celestia and Mum couldn’t fight against me for this long.”

Cadence powered up as her aura grew “That was just the warm up, let’s go all out.”

Sunset’s aura turned completely black as she grinned “Agreed.” The two combatants blows began shaking the world with the force of each strike.

Sunshine shouted at them “Calm down, you may blow up the planet!”

Neither of them listened as the impacts grew fiercer craters exploding left and right all over the ground. The two nodded as they flew into the space “Let’s end this!”

Cadence created a huge pink orb while Sunset created a black spear. Cadence shouted as she fired the huge ball of energy “Calamity Conundrum!”

Sunset roared as she threw her spear “Hatred Lancer!” The pink and black attacks clashed violently as both tried to push it at the other. Soon the two attacks began to become unstable and exploded in a massive flash of pink and black across the sky.

Cadence was taking deep breaths “That took a lot out of me, I’m out of shape.”

Sunset smiled not a bead of sweat on her “Well I can help with that, I have been pushing myself quite hard.”

Cadence smiled back “Looking forward to it.”

The pair flew down only to see Celestia and Luna frowning “What was that!”

Sunset rubbed the back of her head “We were sparing and we decided to end it with a bang.”

Celestia raised an eyebrow “Since when did you get into fighting Cadence. You always were king and loving when you were with us.”

Cadence grimaced “Well times change as do ponies, I’ve seen death flash before my eyes as I narrowly escaped death way too many times. It took me years before I was tough enough to fight the hunting parties that chased me.”

Luna grimaced “That’s not the point, I believe the entire world saw that. You can’t just go firing off blasts like that in the sky.”

Sunset looked at Cadence “Next weekend want to spar on Jupiter, that should be far enough away?’

Cadence grinned “Sure.”

Luna facehooved “Why do I even bother?”

Celestia raised an eyebrow “That is a good question.” Luna glared at her sister with a fierce scowl.

Sunshine finally shook herself out of her stupor and shouted “Are you not even concerned they could have blown up the planet?!”

Celestia shrugged “I don’t see why, they focused their attacks to cause minimal damage to the environment and then made sure they did their energy attacks off planet.”

Luna sighed “Well I am glad that they did. I want to get some rest, I’ll see you all tomorrow.” The group watched as Luna flew off to get some sleep, the rest headed home for some rest not noticing that a giant rainbow Alicorn vanished from the sky.

I had to get a Dragon Ball Z inspired fight in here somewhere. Also I wanted to differientiate Cadence from her Canon Counterpart.
