The pony has lived here for as long as it has needed to, and now it is time to go - but not without a final farewell.

An old story I found left on my hard drive. I think I wrote it as I was leaving for college, wrestling with feelings of leaving behind both my home, and, in some way, this fandom. Seeing as how the show is coming to a close, I've decided to post it. I know I said before that I wouldn't writing another pony-fic, but technically this one was already written. It's a narrative attempt at putting as succinctly as possible everything I've felt.
