Those Rainbow Days
Those Rainbow Days
Load Full StoryIt was a normal day, Rainbow Dash had been clearing the skies of Ponyville, hanging out with her friends Twilight Sparkles, Applejack, Fluttershy, Rarity, and Pinkie Pie. Smiles were brought, happiness was shed, and fun was everywhere they had gone to. The day was coming to a dead end, so the six broke paths to end the day.
Rainbow Dash was flying home, to return to her everyday routine of getting into bed. The night felt different for her, though. She opened her front door, and entered her living room, glancing at pictures of the Wonderbolts, her parents, and her friends. As she prepared to go to bed, she walked passed her desk. She suddenly stopped dead in her tracks, shedding a tear. Don't forget him, she thought to herself. Rainbow Dash turned around and suddenly walked slowly to her desk, motivating her self in her chair. She glanced at her desk's drawer, and slowly opened it so slow that time itself felt like it stopped. As she fully opened the drawer, she lifted the bottom of it up, making a note appear from her view.
Grab it she thought to herself. She grabbed the note up by its corner, making the note seem like it weighed more than anything. Finally, she met it within her eyes. As she opened the note, tears flooded her eyes, making her sight non-visible. She wiped away all the tears, and opened the note crisp by crisp. The note read: "You've shown me the rainbow, Rainbow Dash." She closed her eyes, remembering the last day of a friend, bringing herself into tears. "I always will, Thunder. I always will," Rainbow Dash spoke.
~~~~~~~~
I was walking up the steps to Flight School, I being the first Pegasus who ever walked these steps in a year.
"Hey there, pretty. Wanna come with us?" spoke a bully. I seemingly ignored his sense of humor, still walking up the steps with an annoyed expression. "I'm talking to you!" the bully followed this remark with a shove, injuring me down to the bottom of the steps. "Hahahaha! You feel that, Rainbow Crash?!" Everypony around me laughed and pointed at me, none bothering to even help me up to my hooves. I thought to myself, Why am I weak? Why does everyone hate me? Why can't I just be brave and stand for myself? Life purely su-
I was soon interrupted in mind. "Hey, you all shut your dirty mouths you worthless punks! I'll beat everyone of you up!" a Student had said this. He arose out of the crowd, shielding me with his body. "Oh yeah? And whatcha' gonna do 'bout it?" spoke one of the students. With one frightening glare my hero made, the crowd had disappeared into nothing, only leaving the bullies. "Header, get you and your gang out of here, or else." my hero replied. "What are you gonna do 'bout it, Thunder?" Thunder, my assumption of who my hero was, counted from ten to zero. "Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, on-" and so the bullies ran, far into Flight School, disappearing from his view. I stared down, looking at the cloud ground. As the time had passed, my hero turned to me, and finally spoke.
He was lending me a hoof."Here let me help-" I soon shoved his hoof away. "I don't need your help or anyone's! I can do it myself!" I shattered into tears, in front of my hero. He then spoke softly, in a comforting voice. "It's alright, I'll protect you with my life, Rainbow Dash. I'm like a guardian angel, except I'm a pony." he was laughing a small generous tone soon after this, and I had chuckled a bit. Soon after, I looked up and saw his silver eyes, his amazing thunder like mane, dark blue fur and comforting smile. "By the way, name's Thunder Chaser, cloud loving Pegasus at your service. You can call me Thunder." I had sat there, blushing at Thunder Chaser when our eyes had met. I finally accepted his help after a few seconds, holding his hoof. I finally spoke at last. "Thanks, Thunder Chaser." We walked into Flight School, and thus our friendship had begun.
As days passed, Thunder and I were teased by many, they often calling us "Lovebirds". I started to talk more and more, becoming more active each day I spent with Thunder. "Don't mind them, Rainbow. Hey, after school you should follow me to Cloud's Plains! It's the most greatest place you can ever step on!" said Thunder. I replied in a competitive voice, "Really? If you can prove to me that it is cool, then I'll go with you." Thunder smiled, and eventually he won me over, like always. As we met after Flight School was over, I found myself walking with Thunder to a path I have never been through. "Rainbow Dash and Thunder, sitting on a cloud. K-I-S-S-I-N-G......" the bullies were teasing us again, but we ignored them and moved on. As we reached Cloud's Plains, I admitted that the place was awesome.
Thunder sat at the edge of Cloud's Plains and stared down. I came over and did the same, only to find a town and a CloudHouse. "See that house? It's said to have never been bought since it was made. That's how expensive it is, and one day I'll live in it with a fam-, never mind that." said Thunder. He turned to me and smiled, so I returned with a smile as well. "Oh, and that town down there is called Ponyville, it's a great place. Have you ever been down there?" said Thunder. "Nope, and I suppose I won't ever go down there because I'm gonna get that house first! I'll live in it forever and be the greatest flier of all time! I'll outfly anyone, I'll be so awesome no one will see it coming! That'll be my life, Thunder, and you can bet on it." I told him. "Hahaha! I don't think you can beat me. I'm the fastest flier of all of Equestria. If you ask for speed, I'm the definition! And I bet the Wonderbolts could beat you in an all straight out race." said Thunder. My mind had gone blank, and I wondered to myself, Who are the Wonderbolts? I asked Thunder, "Hey, Thunder, who are the Wonderbolts? They don't sound so tough." Thunder turned to me, gasping in horror and was jaw opened. "You don't know who the Wonderbolts are!?" This was Thunder's last reply before he turned away and flew. I stared off into the distance with a question, who are the Wonderbolts?
As the days had gone by, the jocks would always pick on us, we were still teased, and we always came to Cloud's Plains, discussing how the future would be like, talked about random events that would come around, challenged each other to races,(But he would always win), and stared at the skies, I bragging about my speed. It wasn't until one day, I challenged him to a race I felt confident in. "Hahaha, think you could beat me, don't you? I don't even think that's even possible after all those times I've won." said Thunder. I replied, "You don't know, maybe I can beat you!" I had been practicing my speed, flying and increasing my speed limit to over achievement Here's the deal, whoever loses has to take the winner out to dinner. Which is gonna be me! Deal?" Thunder grinned, and accepted my challenge. Thunder counted down the race. "Three!" I closed my eyes, "Two!" followed by inhaling deeply, "One!" exhaled largely, "Zero!" and then my eyes opened. I took off, speeding like a rocket with an unlimited fuel supply, gaining more and more speed to create a Sonic Rainboom. As I nearly passed the finish line, my speed became uncontrollable, causing me to black out after I hit a an object I couldn't define.
I awoke in Thunder's lap, his hooves combing my mane and his face staring at mine with sad eyes. "Next time, don't do a Sonic Rainboom. You'll look 20% cooler without me." said Thunder in a sad tone of voice. I stared at him for what seemed like hours, and nodded to his face, lifting my head up as one of his tears nearly fell on my face. "Rainbow, I'll make it up to you by buying dinner tonight." said Thunder. I told him, "I did win, of course, so you do owe me. Plus, I should have landed on something softer. I can still feel the pain, right about here." I pointed at my back, but he just placed a hoof over me and we walked to a diner known as Robin's Place.
As we entered Robin's Diner, we took our seats, and soon took notice of Header and his gang. "Thunder," I was whispering, "Header and his gang is here. What are we gonna do? How about we beat them up?" Thunder replied silently, "I know that, I can see them. I'm not blind or anything, and no. We don't just go around ponies and beat them up. Just keep calm until they leave." We sat there, waiting for them to leave, skipping our dinner and watched them eat. "Thunder, lets just ea-" I was soon interrupted. "Hey, you two gonna keep watching us?!" spoke Header. Header and his gang soon turned to face us, and walked toward us. There five of them, Header, Dribbler, Score, Dumbbell, and Hoops. They stood around our table, watching our every move, waiting for us to show our fear of them. Thunder spoke to them, in a calm voice. "Header, we don't want any trouble, so just leave us alone." Header put his face in front of Thunder's, blocking his face from my sight of view. "You know, I only ran because the teachers were watching. Why don't we settle this right here and now? Me against you, and if you don't agree.." Header looked back at Dribbler as Dribbler took me by the arms and held my neck in a chokehold. I could not say anything during the time. "or else Rainbow Crash gets it." Thunder sat up quickly, and slammed the table so hard it made a crack. "You know what, Header? You just hurt anything that comes and goes! And I swear, if you hurt Rainbow Dash I'll, I'll-"
"Or you'll what?" said Header. He was smiling and was insane to ever hurt me. Thunder stood there, glaring at Header, and spoke, "I accept!" Thunder slammed his hoof down, bruising the table and frightened everypony in the diner. "Thunder, don't do it! I can handle the pain! Just let me take care of it!" I lied to Thunder, but he didn't listen to me and was getting tensed to fight. "It's time I put you down, you little filly!" said Header. Thunder closed his eyes, and awaited for the fight to start. "Fight!" yelled Dribbler. Thunder opened his eyes, followed by uppercutting Header, combining three punches to Header's face. I soon took notice of Thunder, and he was smiling and laughed with every hit that landed on Header. Header was worn out so much, he looked like a being that never should have existed. Thunder was like a demonic crazed psycho, madness has taken over him, I thought to myself.
I felt Dribbler loosen up his hold on me, so I kicked him off of me. I ran to Thunder, and stopped him before he made a finishing blow on Header. "Stop, please, Thunder! Your taking it to far! Please, just stop!" I was wrapped around Thunder. His heart was racing, his body was warm, and he was breathing hard. Seconds passed by, silence was made and everypony looked at us. As Thunder calmed down he let out a sigh. "Sorry, I failed you, Rainbow Dash." spoke Thunder. He softly pushed me away and walked out of the Diner, everypony in the diner called the Pegasi Force (the police) to take care of the problem. Header and Dribbler were arrested for the attempt of attack and force of hostage, while the rest were called on as a warning. I soon recognized one of the police officers. "Mr. Flint!" Mr. Flint turned around and I hugged him. "Mr. Flint, do you know where Thunder Chaser is?" I asked him. He replied, "Sorry, Rainbow Dash. But he isn't found to be causing a crime, it was all because of self defense, wasn't it?" I replied with a nod since I was not in the mood to talk.
It was the dead of night and Thunder was not said to be seen. My parents arrived, and comforted me. "Rainbow Dash, we were so worried about you!" said my mom. "We'll sue those bucking fillies for messing with our girl." said my dad. " Mom, dad, it's alright. Me and Thunder already took care of them! You guys should meet him! He's my greatest friend and he's so cool, but not as cool as me. Anyways, he showed me this place! It's called-" and then I stopped. I flew away in the night, not knowing where to go and my mind had one objective, to find Thunder. I arrived at a familiar place, and I took notice of Cloud's Plains. As I looked around, I found Thunder sitting on the edge of Cloud's Plains, staring downward. I flew to him, and sat next to him, looking at his face. Tears were falling from his eyes, so I tried comforting him.
"It's alright, Thunder. It all ended. To me, your 20% more cooler." Thunder still stared down, and after a couple of minutes, he spoke in a soft tone. "I'm not cool, Rainbow. Inside me, I have a demon who wants to fight and fight, hurt other Pegasi one after another. I'm no good than Header." I turned at him. "No, your better than Header. I'll admit this, and only this. Your the most coolest Pegasus I've ever met, Thunder." I told him, getting quieter as I reached his name. "There, I said it." Thunder snickered, and had burst into laughter. "I knew it all along, Rainbow! And now, I've got proof of it!" Thunder snapped into happiness within a few seconds. I looked at him, and hit him on the head. I called him a Doofus, but all he did was laugh. After all his laughing he spoke to me. "Look down there, Rainbow. It's Ponyville, it looks so beautiful from our point of view." I looked down, and admire in adoration. "It's so cool, Thunder." I told him. As we admired the view, we slowly turned to each other and met eyes. My face turned red and my cheeks blushed. We were coming closer, I was closing my eyes, and our lips were about to meet. Thunder stopped me. "Just kidding." spoke Thunder in a whisper. He suddenly took off, leaving me.(again) I sat there, watching him fly away. "I wasn't really gonna kiss you! Your gonna be the last Pegasus I'll ever kiss if I had to!" I yelled to him. Thunder looked back and made funny faces to me. I spoke to myself, "Should have known."
The day came when Thunder finally came over to meet my parents. "Hello, Mr. and Mrs. ummm.... Rainbow? Colors?" said Thunder as he shook their hands. He looked back at me, but I just shrugged, even I didn't know what our family's name was. He was smiling a forced smile to them, but not enough to prove he was a pure "Gentlepony". "Hello, Thunder Chaser. It's a pleasure meeting you. Rainbow Dash has told us much about you." spoke both my parents. Silence fell upon all of us, but I broke it. "Oh! Have you met my sister, Scootaloo?" "Wainbow Dash! Wainboowww!" Scootaloo came out of the house, but ran behind me. I introduced her to Thunder. "Scootaloo, this is Thunder. He's a friend of mine." Thunder looked at Scootaloo, and spoke in a gentle voice. "Hello there, Scootaloo. Oh, you don't have a cutie mark? It's okay, I don't have one too." I soon looked at Thunder's left leg, only to find no cutie mark. "Wanna' play catch?" Thunder soon ran into our yard, picking up a frisbee in his mouth. Scootaloo looked at me as a request if she can go, and I nodded. She ran into our yard, gleefully.
"Rainbow Dash, we need a talk." "Yes, honey. a BIG talk." spoke my parents. I entered my home, and look at my parents, only they had a facial expression of determination. They were scolding me. "Rainbow Dash, you can no longer be with him. We don't know him, plus he got you in trouble, remember?" said my dad. "He's nice, but we don't trust him. Do you understand, Rainbow Dash?" said my mom. My face morphed from happiness to anger. I yelled at them, "What!? How is he a bad Pegasus? Whenever I need something to get off of my chest, I could talk to Thunder! Whenever I'm hurt, Thunder helps me up! He's everything you all aren't!" My parents were then angered and revoked by my response. "Did you just call us useless? How could call us that? We fed you and did everything for you! You are now grounded for as long as we're alive!" I was then pouring tears, and flew out of my "home". At this time, I was flying anywhere. I couldn't cared less. I felt of flying into the sun and burn up. My parents scarred me so deep that I never wanted to see them again, never in my life did I ever want them in my life again.
I found myself in Cloud's Plains, sitting where me and Thunder had sat at last time. I stared down, wondering how long I have been gone. Thunder soon came to me, and sat next to me. "Feels like it was yesterday we did this, doesn't it?" said Thunder. I nodded. He spoke words of comfort to try building my happiness up, but they never worked. Thunder stopped talking, and then he finally did something I never would forget. He hugged me, tears were brought, and we were together once again. "Rainbow Dash, you have to stop crying. It's alright if your parents don't want me with you. It's alrig-" "No it's not alright! I want to be with you! Your my guardian Pegasus, remember!?" I yelled it out, my affection for him. After several minutes, he held on to my hoof. "Come one, let's go home." said Thunder. He took me home as I sided with him. We reached a house that looked familiar, and Thunder soon knocked on it. When it opened, my parents were at the door. It was my home, my domain, my home I've always spent at.
They crowded me and carried me in as I waved goodbye to Thunder. He smiled and flew away as the door closed. My parents spoke to me. "Rainbow Dash, we're sorry." said my mom. "We'll let go of your grounding, and, we decided you can hang out with Thunder whenever. He's brought our big girl back home, all in one piece with sprinkles on top." said my dad. My head poked up, and I ran to them, thanking them and giving kisses to their cheeks. I ran to my room, awaiting for what I had to tell Thunder tommorrow. Scootaloo had found her way into my room and spoke to me. "Wainbow, I like Thundew. He's fun, cool, and funny! Do you like him Wainbow?" I looked at Scootaloo with a happy face, and replied, "I just don't know, Scootaloo. I just don't know." And so the day ended.
Thunder promised to take me to a competition in the Cloudsdale Stadium to show me the Wondebolts, and he did so. The day came when we arrived to the stadium, entering our names into the competition. "You never told me we were going to BE IN THE competition!" This was my reaction to him when we gained our competition numbers. "At least we're in teams, Rainbow. Plus, it's called the Young Fliers' Team Competition, whoever earns the most scores gain the chance to meet the Wonderbolts, PERSONALLY." Thunder had explained to me this, but I paid less attention to his blabberring. I had hit him with a volley of small punches, but he seemed to try to hold his pain he wanted to yell out. We soon heard our numbers from the Spokespegasus. "And time for our last competitors, numbers 23 and 24!"
"That's our signal! Let's go, Rainbow!" said Thunder. And then came the time when we were gazed upon by fellow classmates, Pegasi folks of Cloudsdale, and my family. "How did they know I was here?" I said to Thunder. "Who, them?" Thunder soon pointed at my family, "I don't know, but let's go!" Thunder grabbed me by the hoof, and we were soon dancing in the sky, doing tricks and making art out of clouds. "Nice rainbows, Rainbow." said Thunder. I looked back at him, sticking my tongue at him. He chuckled a bit. Finally, for our final move, he hugged me and pretended to kiss me. The crowd awed as we did so, and I pushed my lips to his. His eyes widened, his cheeks blushed red hot, and I felt his heart throb faster. His lips had touched mine, and I had never grew this feeling. Is this love? I thought to myself.
We let go of each other, awaiting for the judges response. One of them got up, and spoke loud and clear. "Why don't you guys meet us in the back!?" We hugged each other very tightly as the crowd cheered on us and congratulated us. Life was to good to be true, but I had Thunder to thank. We soon made our way to the back and met the Wonderbolts. They all had their masks off, some were nearly our age. The captain and her lieutenant came by us and were about to introduce themselves, but were called on to hurry along and help the danger in Canterlot. "I'm sorry, guys, but we have to go. Probably if you come to the next contest, you can meet us again! See yah!" spoke their captain. They soon left us, jaw opened. We walked away, side by side.
"Hey, maybe you can see them next time, Rainbow Dash." said Thunder. "That's, like, the worst thing EVER in my entire life! Why in all of Equestria did Canterlot have to be in danger now? Aww man this sucks!" I said. Thunder just chuckled. "Next time, I'll join the Wonderbolts! You can bet on me, Thunder!" He put his arm around me, and then asked, "Were my lips cold?" I replied with another kiss on him. "You tell me." He blushed, and we turned paths to go home. As I saw him go, I yelled out, "Do you like me!?" Thunder just kept going and pretended not to hear me. I watched him go away and wondered, Do you like me? I looked up, looking at a rainbow as it paused across the skies.
As the days passed, I soon met Gilda the Gryphon. She was a prankster, an intelligent Gryphon, and was a great flier. Thunder was not that happy whenever she was around with us. I always wondered why, until one day I confronted him and asked him why he hated Gilda. "Gilda's a no good Gryphon who hates all living things on Equestria! She's just trying to hide her real self from you! You don't know it but she's hiding herself away." I was shocked by Thunder's answer and replied remotely after him. "Your just jealous of her because she's better than you! Why do you go on and make stories up about other students? She's a kind person! At least she's not a devil when she's mad!" Thunder looked at me with wide eyes and responded back. "Maybe it's better if I just get out of your life right here and now! Your to stubborn to see under people and to blind to see the right paths to take! No wonder why the jocks pick on you, Rainbow Crash." and soon after, Thunder never spoke to me from then on. Gilda said it wasn't a problem, just move on and find a different person. Days passed, but it was never the same without Thunder. We never met at Cloud's Plains, never met eyes ever again, and we never spoke. Until Flight School's Formal.
Gilda and I arrived in astonishing dresses, but I had a tendency to look more "cooler". Gilda asked me, "Who are you with, Rainbow?" I returned her question with an answer, "I don't know. But hopefully none of the weirdos ask me out. I'd like someone like, maybe the jocks." Suddenly Header swooped me up and was dancing with me. "Hey there, pretty. Thought I could dance with you." I smiled. "Alright then, but only cause your handsome." I told him. As we danced, I felt a sense of happiness grow. In the end, he swooped me down and nearly kissed me, but I stopped him because someone who truly loved me was watching me.
"Why did you stop!?" yelled Gilda. "Yeah, why did you, Rainbow Crash?" said a certain voice. I faced the direction of the voice, and it was Thunder. He had on a tuxedo and a bouquet of flowers for me. Tears dropped from my eyes as he glared at me. "Thought I could find someone who I could dance with, but I guess she went with the Pegasus that ruined her life. Thanks, Rainbow Crash." said Thunder as he turned to exit the School. "Wait! Thunder, please! Just wait!" I yelled to him, but he ignored me and flew away. I let go of Header and chased him. He was already outside, but I still chased him. As I did so, my wings were caught in party nets and I flew out of control, falling from the clouds. I thought to myself, This is what I deserve. This is how it should end. I closed my eyes and fell on something, knocking me out cold.
I awoke in a hospital bed along with another patient. Suddenly, the hospital room door opened, a nurse appearing in my view. "Oh, your awake. Are you feeling well?" said the nurse. I saw her dark aqua colored eyes, pink mane, and her yellow fur. "Oh, my name is nurse Fluttershy." said the nurse. I explained to her I was the filly who helped her from the bullies at Summer Flight Camp. Fluttershy fled the conversation and returned to what she was supposed to ask. "I'm sorry we had to make you share the room with another patient, but all the other rooms were taken." I replied, "It's alright. How did I end up here?" Fluttershy explained the whole event. "Wait, then who's the other patient?" I asked her. She opened the curtains and I exploded to tears. It was my hero, Thunder Chaser.
Fluttershy then spoke, "This is the Pegasus that saved you. His name is-" I interrupted her to finish her sentence. "Thunder Chaser, the Pegasus I let down." He had a fractured left leg, but Fluttershy said it would heal within a month or so. I tried my best to summarize what might have happened. As I fell, Thunder Chaser came to pick me up to the clouds before I can hit the ground. He placed his left leg on the ground to hold all the weight and pressure of coming down on it, causing his leg to fracture. He flew to the hospital, and told them to help me, explaining to them he was okay, but fell into a coma. This was my idea of his heroism, but was it true? I was told to get out of the hospital today, and so I did. As I resumed Flight School, Gilda left me to enter Flight University, where the best of the best fliers go. I was left with Fluttershy as I found out she came to Flight School everyday. After every school day, I always came to Thnder, visiting him so often and talking to him. He would never reply back, but I felt happy to talk to him.
On his last day of his hospital stay away, I asked him if my story of how he saved me was true. He replied, "Everything except for one thing is true. I was never in a coma." He smiled. I cried on his bed. "Can you ever forgive me, Thunder?" I said to him. He combed my mane, and said, "Always look at the rainbows, Rainbow Dash. Always." I sat next to him, speechless. I soon fell sleepy as he stared out the window. I heard a quiet voice, but was too tired to fully hear what it said. I asked him quietly, "Do you love me?" Again I heard a quiet voice, but was not so sure what it said. I fell asleep, awaiting to see Thunder again.
I awoke in a hospital bed, and a note that laid on the blanket. The window was opened, and the note looked beautiful in the way it was placed. On the front it read: RAINBOWS FOREVER. I opened it, and again my eyes grew watery. Tears flooded my eyes, dripping from my face. I read it. "Dear Rainbow Dash, I hope you can forgive me. Remember the house near Cloud's Plains? I've bought it, for you. You've shown me the rainbow, Rainbow Dash. Remember, within your heart, Thunder Chaser, the Cloud Loving Pegasus. I more like the Rainbow Loving Pegasus, though. We'll cross paths someday, Rainbow Dash. Cross my heart and hope to see you someday, from Thunder."
With reactions so fast, I fled the hospital, flying nowhere in particular, shedding the tears of the past. I arrived home, galloping towards my room, and waiting for the nightmare to end. But it never did, the Pegasus who helped me never came back. Everypony could have cared less for him, some even say he was never to be found again. I resumed my Flight School Days, but I soon dropped out because everywhere I looked brought back memories of Thunder, sending me to depression. I moved into the house Thunder bought for me, and found out he arranged the house in a way that compelled me to stay in there for days. I soon began to be popular, since Thunder moved out of my life. Stallions admired me, confessing their love for me. None, I ever accepted, though. I grew more and more farther out known for my loving colors.
Days passed and I soon obtained the job of weather control in Ponyville. I practiced tricks at home, practicing to make myself worthy enough to win the next competition, The Young Flier's Competition. After one peculiar day, I was starting to work, but slammed smack into a purple mare. As we both fell into the mud, I knew I had made a friend. I grew happy in my mind for no particular reason, as for today was a day that made me feel happiness grow. "The name's Rainbow Dash. Why? You ever heard of me?" I replied to the purple mare that called on me, otherwise known as Twilight Sparkles.
~~~~~~~~
Rainbow Dash soon gained her way through to the present, she opened her eyes, shedding one last tear before looking out the window. She saw three Wonderbolts sitting on Cloud's Plains, but couldn't recall one of the Wonderbolt's name, since they never met. She realized it had been 2 years since Thunder has been gone. "Can you forgive me, Thunder? I'll cross my heart and hope to see you someday as well, if you can win your way to the top. I've accomplished helping Equestria, impressed the Wonderbolts and even made a perfect Sonic Rainboom, but I feel like your much more better, and you probably are. I'm coming your way, and we'll probably never meet again, but just know that I'll awlays love you, Thunder." Rainbow Dash said to a picture of her and Thunder. She was smiling, wiped her eyes, and soon after, Rainbow Dash fled her home, to join her Wonderbolt friends to watch the majestic view.
Epilogue
As the day was coming to the end, a Wonderbolt sat at the edge of Cloud's Plains, holding a photo of himself flying alongside with Rainbow Dash, but supposed she never noticed him. He took sight of Rainbow Dash entering her home. "Hey, what are you doing here?" spoke a Pegasus behind the Wonderbolt. The Wonderbolt was caught offguard and soon turned around, only to find Soarin and Spitfire come into view, walking to him slowly. "Long time no see, Soarin and Spitfire. How long has it been? Since Flight School ever started?" They soon sat together, looking down at Ponyville. Soarin broke the silence. "Why don't you ever take off your mask? We're like best friends and I've never seen your face before." The fellow Wonderbolt looked at Soarin, and soon took off his mask. His fiery blue mane shown, dark blue fur showing and golden eyes shown in the night. "That's better! So why are you out here?" asked Soarin. The Wonderbolt pointed at Ponyville. "The view here is so majestic, wouldn't you guys agree?" Soarin was widely jaw opened, staring down, adoring the view. Spitfire spoke. "Yeah, I guess so. Hey, look, our future star." Spitfire pointed at Rainbow Dash as she was peering out of her window.
The Wonderbolt's eyes widened and soon grew watery. "It's been so long, Rainbow." said the Wonderbolt in an uneaven voice. Spitfire spoke up, "You guys looked great last time, Thunder. Sorry we never told you this." Thunder soon wiped his eyes, removing the contacts on his eyes. Silver eyes were shown, a comforting smile was added, and tears of happiness came gliding down his cheeks. Rainbow Dash had left her home, coming towards the three. Thunder got up. "She can never know I'm a Wonderbolt. I want to keep her safe, but destiny keeps pulling us apart." said Thunder Chaser as he chuckled. "I'll always defy the rules in life. Wish me luck, guys." He pulled his mask on and was about to flee the scene, but soon stopped and remembered something. Do you love me? These words flooded his mind as he flew. It had felt like Rainbow Dash had spoken to him now.
"Yes, forever and cross my heart, hope to meet you someday, Rainbow Dash. Blue, green, red, yellow, orange, or purple. Out of all of those colors, your my favorite, Rainbow Dash." said Thunder. He let one last tear fall from his eyes, holding all his hopes and dreams to Rainbow Dash, The Rainbow of his life.
The End
