Welcome to the second piece of literature I have ever written.
(The first being a terrible rushed piece that I wrote on my phone back in 2013 which is still here on this website)
I don’t have much to say other than any feedback and Criticism would be really appreciated.

Into The Den
Life can be a fickle thing. Sometimes it can be merciful, sometimes it can be cruel, and then sometimes you go to a gypsy flea market and buy a toaster, only to have that same toaster blow up in your face later, opening a portal and casting you into another dimension with no way home...
Insert David, a tall, basic looking human who conveniently also happened to get fucked by a gypsy toaster, and on a Saturday morning no less.
David’s integration into pastel pony land went rather smoothly considering that when he was spit out of the portal, he landed in one royal Canterlot bathhouse, with two very shocked royal pony sisters.
One hour, and a one half magically destroyed royal bathhouse later, David was acquainted under friendly terms with the rulers on this land.
With David not too shaken up, and him leaving nothing important behind back on earth, it would be not long after that it would be agreed upon that David should take residence in Ponyvilles crystal castle with one Princess Twilight Sparkle.
The rest is mostly history, David had few troubles integrating into the small town, Most ponies opened up to him when he first arrived, and through time, he even earned some friendships from those who didn’t. Of course there were the few who still gave him weary or disgusted looks, but they weren’t very nice to begin with.
David even managed to get a steady little job as the towns repairman. All in all, things were good.
*beep! Beep! Beep!*
“Ugh! Shut up!” *WHACK!*
Except for the fact it was currently a Saturday morning. A day which David had grown to hate ever since he was magically booted out of his world on the same day.
Some weird, or life threatening BS always seemed to happen on most saturdays in Ponyville, and David was always more than happy to try and sleep through the cursed day.
But that was not the case today. Having been annoyed by his alarm clock David groggily rose from his bed. Looking over to the clock, he found it was already 2:00pm in the afternoon.
Giving an annoyed grunt he hefted himself off of his bed, shivering slightly as his bare feet made contact with the cold crystal floor.
‘Damn, gotta get a rug or something for here’ David idly mused as he got dressed, simply putting on a basic pair of jeans, a green shirt and his old Ragged shoes.
After stepping out of his room, David made a B-line for the kitchen through the tight crystal halls, intent on on filling the hole in his stomach. Walking up to the kitchen entrance, David heard chatter from the other side, but paid it little mind as he opened the large decorative door.
The tired human entered the overly large looking kitchen, squinting, giving a sneer and letting out a miserable groan as the morning light reflected throughout the whole castle structure, illuminating the interior. In that moment David could only idly wonder what it would cost to run electrical light through the whole place.
“Good morning David” a voice cheerily greeted the human, forcing him out of his internal banter.
“Mornin’ Twi” David automatically yet tiredly responded, slowly looking over towards the table.
Both Spike and Twilight currently occupied half of the large dining table with copious amounts of parchment papers, inkwells and saddlebags. The odd scene before him caused the groggy human to furrow his brow in confusion.
Before David could question why half of the table looked like a war zone that got caught up in another war zone, Twilight looked up from her current mess of papers.
“I made breakfast.” she cheerily said with a smile. “Buuuut, I don’t know how fresh it is anymore, I tried to wake you up again, but you’re a very heavy sleeper, even more so than spike!” She ended with a giggle, causing Spike to look up from his own writings with deadpan look.
“I resent that you know” he said with very little amusement, which only earned him a quick noogie from Twilight.
“Hey, it works for me.” David mumbled as he lazily shuffled over to the kitchen counter to obtain his cold prize. “So what’s with all of the clutter?” He asked as he grabbed his plate of cold toast and hash browns, giving the toast a weary look for good measure, before making his way to the table.
“Oh! I must have forgotten to tell you, my family and I are going on a vacation”. Twilight explained as David sat down at the table with a heavy thump.
“When did this happen?” David asked, signalling a silent fist bump to spike on his left, to which he responded in turn with a light bump.
“It’s something we’ve been planning for a while now, but with all of the world saving and friendship problem solving lately, we haven’t been able to go anywhere with those plans unfortunately.” She finished, Spike silently nodding in agreement as he continued doing his work.
David forked a mouthful of hash browns while giving a slow nod, having had similar situations he could understand that pains of planning, and the never ending coincidences and problems that come along with them.
“makes sense” David commented with a full mouth before swallowing. “You and the girls are usually out there busting your butts over one thing or another, it’s only fair that you get some time off as well.” earning him a light chuckle from Twilight, right before her face lit up.
“Speaking of the girls.” Twilight quickly added “since me and Spike are going to be away for a bit, I was thinking that, we could try to get you to stay with one of them for the time that we are away!” she said with a little too much enthusiasm.
David stopped chewing and stared at Twilight with a blank face and a raised brow.
“You know... so you won’t get lonely” she sheepishly added seeing as his face wasn’t changing. “Plus I’ve already asked them.”
“Are you sure that’s really a good idea?” David asked.”I feel like I would just be a nuisance, I mean, Rarity and Applejack have their businesses, and I don’t know anything about farming or seamstress work. Pinkie rents, and I doubt there’s enough room for a being twice her size in her room with her. Fluttershy has her animal friends, and Rainbow Dash lives up in the clouds, and I don’t fly. So it might be best if I just stay here” David stated, resuming to eat his cold, semi-tasty breakfast.
This seemed to get Twilight thinking. ‘Darn, that’s right, the girls said they wouldn’t be able to help much except for maybe Fluttershy and Pinkie, and I doubt David wants to be cooped up in a small room for a whole week’ she contemplated silently.
“Hmmmm, I suppose you are right for the most part, but Fluttershy seemed pretty sure that she could make space for you, if you wanted of course.” She stated, content over the very simple process of elimination.
David shuffled uncomfortably in his pony shaped chair, Fluttershy was the one member of twilight’s little coupe that David hadn’t talked to during his five month stay, and was actually very surprised to hear that she of all ponies would offer him a room to stay for the week. “Ehh, I suppose Ill give it a go if she’ll let me stick around for the week, and it would be a good way to get to know each other better I suppose.”
Twilight clapped her hooves together excitedly. “Ohhh, this is great! I have been meaning to find you two some common ground for a while now, but unfortunately both of you seem to be one track minded, or at least when it comes to interests.” she said with light cheekiness
“Pshh! Says the lady that is always deeper than dead in a book!” David quickly fired back with a cheeky grin.
Twilight let out an over exaggerated ‘humph’, before smiling, amused at their own little banter.
“Well enough about of our simple interests, Spike and I better get heading out soon, and I think we’re just about ready, Spike?”
“One more second.” Spike started. “Annnnd done! We are all good to go now!” He said excitedly, right before he started stuffing the various items on the table into the bags they also brought.
Twilight got up from her seat and trotted around the table over to David’s side, giving him a pat on his thigh.
“While Spike is packing our stuff, I’ll walk you over to Fluttershy’s place, ok?”.
In response, David quickly shoveled the rest of his food in his mouth, chewing with vigour. after a moment to swallow he gave a thumbs up, a gesture which was probably lost on the unicorn even after all this time.
“Sounds good, just let me grab a few things before we go, and thanks for the food.” He said, as he rose from his seat and headed to his room.
“You’re welcome! I’ll wait for you outside” she called out as he walked away.
‘Man, I hope this week doesn’t turn out to be a Saturday morning Willy Wonka fuck show.’ He thought to himself, not realizing he just unintentionally jinxed himself into a world of imagination...

It was currently mid afternoon outside, and
the walk across town was as uneventful as always in Ponyville, well, as uneventful as the melting pot of equestria could be at least. The sun was at its peak before its decent, Ponies went about their late business, waving and greeting the passing duo if they caught them walking by.
Feeling the need to kill the silence between them, David first spoke up. “So, anything I should keep in mind while I’m staying over at Fluttershy’s so I don’t make myself look like a complete idiot?” He asked while looking down to his travelling companion.
Twilight adopted a look of thought. “Hmmm, nothing that you don’t already know, just, take it slow, it might take her a bit to warm up to you, but she does want to get to know you, best thing I can offer is to find a common ground.” She responded without taking her eyes off of the path.
“Cmon Twi, it’s been five months! If she wanted to get to know each other better I think it would have happened a while ago , I mean, she’s literally ran away from me on three separate occasions and one of those times I was with Rarity. All I’m saying is this better not be another one of your genius plans.” He huffed.
Twilight sped past David, stopping a couple feet ahead, spun around, dramatically held one of her hooves up to her chest and made a noise that would make a rabid, dying rat blush.
“Are you implying that every single one of my brilliant plans results in copious amounts of disaster?”
“Yes.” David blankly replied as he walked past Twilight. “And thanks for confirming my fears.”
“Hey!” Twilight yelled as she caught up. “Think of all of the important friendship lessons we learn from those disasters.”
David idly looked off to the right, observing his surroundings. “Yeah, and I’m pretty sure that many of those disasters could have been avoided by anybody with basic social skills...”
“It’s not my fault that everyone in my school grade was two levels below me, back then I couldn’t be expected to listen to those annoying jingles about friends everyday.” Twilight huffed.
David rolled his eyes “Jeez, give yourself two more pats on the back while you’re at it.”
Before anymore verbal sling could be thrown about, twilight held up her hoof, stopping David.
“Well, enough talk about my incredibly superior pony intellect, we’re here!” Twilight exclaimed, causing David to put his eyes back on the path, and sure enough they stood at the sbeginning of the bridge leading up towards the serene looking cottage.
“Huh, nice place.” David mused.
Twilight had already started up the walkway, causing David to speed up back beside her. “So what’s the grand plan you maniacal eggplant?”
David’s nickname either didn’t register, or Twilight decided to ignore it.
“Leave the basic introduction to me, and, try to look harmless, I guess? A lot of this is going to depend on how skittish she is today.” She finished as they reached the oak door.
“Here goes nothing.”
*knock, knock knock*
Both human and pony stayed silent as they waiting for a response, the only sounds heard being the many birds in the area.
But after a couple of minutes of nothing, David decided to speak up.
“Maybe she isn’t home Twi. Listen, I’ll just stay at the cas-“ but before he could finish his sentence, both of their attentions were drawn to the door by the sound of a lock.
And then another lock.
Then another....
About 30 seconds of unlocking later, the door very slowly opened revealing the shy butter yellow mare, and true to her nature, she automatically hid behind her mane.
“O-oh hello Twilight, h-hello D-D-David.” She greeted, growing quieter right as she noticed the tall human.
Fluttershy started to rub one of her hooves against the other. “I-I’m assuming you're both here because of Twilight’s v-vacation?” She asked, while trying to hide more of herself behind her mane.
“Yep! Twilight beamed “and David here, was wondering if he could stay with you for the week! She stated with her typical level of enthusiasm.
“Only if i won’t be burden.” David quickly interjected. “I understand my appearance can be unsettling, even intimidating, so please don’t feel pressured into doing this.”
David finished, putting on a soft smile, hoping to convey a friendly aura.
To his luck, and his relief, it seemed to work somewhat, as a soft smile also appeared on Fluttershy’s face. “O-o-oh that won’t be a problem at all. P-please come in.”
Fluttershy moved off to the side to let twilight and David in, but as David took his first step forward, he felt a tug on his pant leg.
Looking down, he found Twilight staring up at him with an apologetic look. “I gotta get back to the castle to make sure everything’s set, Spike might have missed something and for once I really want this plan to work without disaster.”
David smiled down at her and ruffled her mane. “You don’t need to worry about me Twi, I can handle myself, and even if I needed help, I’m in good company.”
Twilight gave a quick nod with a smile before teleporting away, leaving just the human and the Pegasus to themselves.
Not wanting to be impolite, David walked in the open door, entering the cottage.

The sun, now descending to the horizon, bathed the landscape, and the calm cottages interior a beautiful orange.
Fluttershy put two cups of piping hot tea down on her coffee table before sitting down on her couch next to her new guest. Both David and Fluttershy agreed that it would be best to get to know each other a little bit early on to avoid potential awkwardness in the future.
David took a quick look of his surroundings, taking note of the amount of small critters and animals roaming about the cottages interior.
“So, you take care of all of these animals all by yourself?” David asked, trying to break the ice. “That’s impressive, I don’t think I’ve ever seen something like this on this scale before.” He said, still watching the household ecosystem unfold before him.
Fluttershy followed David’s eyes towards a large group of her critter friends, before realizing what he meant.
“T-thank you, it’s not always easy taking care of all of them, and it requires a lot of time, but seeing them happy makes it all worth it in the end. I wouldn’t trade it for the world.” As she finished, a genuine smile appeared on her face, the first one David had seen.
David’s heart warmed, he hadn’t expected the shy mare to be this cute, but it was a welcome surprise none the less. Memory’s flooded him of his former pets back home, leaving that all too familiar feeling of a hole in your gut that he had grown accustom to in the past five months, but he quickly pushed it back down, not wanting to be a downer on his first impression. At least it left him with a topic to bring up.
“I love animals, I even had quite a few pets myself in the past.” David added, hoping to find as Twilight called it “common ground” with the shy mare.
This seemed to snatch the Fluttershys attention away from her animals. “You have pets?” excitedly she asked with wide eyes. “Oooh! What kind of pets do humans keep? Are they animals we don’t have here, if they are the same are they different?”
David chuckled seeing Fluttershy’s giddy excitement, smiling that he broke the speech barrier that he had though would be a lot harder. Now that the hard part was done (or at least what David considered to be the hard part of any new conversation), and he now knew something that she really enjoyed, so things could hopefully go smoothly from here

The next couple of hours flew by as the two opened up to each other and discussed anything that seemed to be interesting, or even a little amusing.
They discussed through the differences of their worlds, as well as all of the uncanny similarities they shared, they swapped stories, talked about their pasts, dabbled in human/pony culture and even exchanged a food recipe.
David had a strong sense of déjà vu, having gone through all of this once before with Twilight. He couldn’t even keep track of how many of Fluttershy’s questions were similar in nature or word-by-word, exactly the same as the questions that we’re asked of him months ago.
Realizing he had drifted off in his brain, he snapped back to, ready to apologize for his foolish wandering mind, but when he looked over towards Fluttershy, she was silently staring at him with an expression he had not been met with before in his life.
She sat there, perfectly still, staring at him with unreadable eyes that burrowed into him like drills, with a soft smile and rosy cheeks adorning her face.
If David was being completely honest with himself, it was kind of creepy....
“Uhhhh, are you ok there Fluttershy? You’re looking a little off.” David asked with a little more nervousness than he wanted to let on.
This snapped her right back to, and an embarrassed face replaced the previous creepier one. “O-oh.” *ahem* “s-s-sorry, I was just making up my m-mind, about something.” She said quietly, fixing her face. “Are you hungry?” She asked, quickly changing the subject.
David didn't question her behaviour. Not wanting to interrogate his new friend, plus blanking out was pretty common for him, so it would be very hypocritical for him to bring it up.
“Sure, I could eat, what’s on the menu?” David asked, actually feeling quite hungry. The breakfast he had earlier wasn’t very filling, and it was quite a while ago.
“W-well since you aren’t o-omnivore and there isn’t anywhere you can really get m-m-meat, I thought that you would like some some fish, I-I have practice cooking it, and I’m sure Mr.bear wouldn’t mind sharing.” She offered coyly with a smile.
At that very moment David wanted nothing more to do than bolt up, hug the little ball of butter and squeeze her until her head popped off. But for obvious reasons, he didn’t.
In the whole time David has been equestria he had not eaten any meat, out of respect for the locals of course, but that still didn’t stop the cravings he would get. Sometimes it got to the point where he wondered if nobody would miss a certain pony if they had gone missing...
these were not his proudest moments.
“Oh yes please! It’s been way too long since I’ve had any meat!” Bursted David. Though he quickly caught himself re-realizing that he was in the presence of a pony who was well known of being afraid of predators. “*ahem*, sorry, it’s been a bit, but if you don’t mind I would like that very much.”
To David’s relief, Fluttershy didn’t even seem fazed by his outburst, or by his obscene, vocal love for eating flesh. If anything, this seemed to make her happier much to David’s surprise.
She clapped her hooves together, with a beaming grin. “Oh good! I’ll get started right away!” She said as she quickly flew away across the living room, and into the kitchen. Leaving David to watch the critters in the cottage go about their current business.
Barely anything was said from either parties as Fluttershy cooked, the only things asked were about preferred spices or herbs.
Just as Fluttershy determined that the fish was just about ready, she took a look back into the living room, watching as David was now petting some of the her animals who were curious about the new being in their home and decided to meet him.
At that moment she couldn’t help but stare at his hands intensely as they worked, grooming her animal friends, their expressions blissful.
A familiar, yet creepy expression crept back on to her face as a shudder ran though her body.
After Quickly and quietly taking a deep calming breath, a decided look fell on her features and fluttershy gave herself a final nod.
She quietly snuck up to the living room entrance, making sure David was still distracted. Confirming that he was indeed occupied, she quietly flew upstairs into her room. and just as quickly flew out as she had flown in, only now she carried a small pill bottle, tucked in her hoof.
When Fluttershy reached the kitchen, she quickly took the fish off of the stove and put it onto a plate. Taking a small knife, she made several small unnoticeable incisions in the cooked fish before quietly opening her pill bottle, fishing out three tiny pills quickly crushing them, and then evenly dispersing the crushed bits in the incisions.
“Dinner is ready!” She shouted into the living room.
She couldn’t help but tense her body and feel her heart race speed up intensely as she heard David get up from the living room couch and make his way over to the kitchen.
As David entered the kitchen, his eyes lit up like fireworks as his gaze feel over the cooked fish that Fluttershy had put on her dining table. saliva flooded his mouth, as he was speechless from how good it looked.
Fluttershy flew up and pulled out a chair at the dining table before giving it a double pat in the seat while looking over to him.
“Please, come sit and eat, I hope you like it.” She urged.
David felt slightly guilty over the amount he was being pampered by Fluttershy, unable to give anything back in the moment. But all the same, he couldn’t pass up his first chance to eat meat since he was cast into this vegetarians paradise.
David stopped his gawking as he started to move towords the table, but when he reached it, he turned to Fluttershy with a big smile. “ I can’t thank you enough for this, really, and if it’s ok with you, I’d love to make you something as well.” He offered.
Fluttershy seemed to enjoy his suggestion, as she gave a happy, yet thoughtful look towards him. “Ooh that’s sounds lovely, but I already ate right before you and Twilight came over. Oh! I know, why don’t you do tomorrow’s meal?” She counter offered.
“Deal.” David said as he held out his open hand. Fluttershy quickly put her hoof in his hand and gave it a firm shake, making her giggle at their own silly transaction.
“Now hurry! eat up and tell me how the food is before it gets cold.” She demanded with playfulness in her voice.
David gave a final thanks to Fluttershy as he sat down in the dining chair, picking up his utensils, ready to dig into his meal.
He quickly cut off a piece and put it into his mouth, savouring it’s flavour and texture. He couldn’t help but groan over the beautiful assault on his tastebuds from the salty, oily fish.
He turned to Fluttershy. “This is amazing!” Is all he could get out before going back at his food, trying to enjoy every single bite of his meal to the fullest.
But while David was focused, enjoying his meal on a whole new level. Fluttershy was staring off, while in a whole other world in her head as she silently watched him eat.
She couldn’t help but drink everything in as he contently ate. From they way that his teeth were shaped, to the way how they sunk in to the cooked fish with ease. It was mesmerizing, frightening even, but most importantly it’s was exciting.
David took a quick a moment after his fifth bite to quickly and very briefly glance over towards Fluttershy, before just as quickly
Returning to his meal.
Thinking that he saw that creepy look on her face again, he took a double take, but noticed nothing out of the ordinary when he looked again as she shifted her attention elsewhere. Shrugging it off, he continued chowing on the delicious fish, not even paying attention to the minuscule crunches he could feel while eating.
The rest of the time of David eating his dinner was uneventful, as Fluttershy took off to make sure him room was ready, leaving him to enjoy the rest of his meal.
After fishing his food, he walked over to the sink and quickly washed the plate that he had used before going off to meet Fluttershy upstairs.
When he got up to the guest room, Fluttershy was just putting in some finishing touches. Noticing him, she beckoned him with her hoof into the room. Not wanting to keep her waiting, David obliged.
“I’m sorry if the bed is too small, it’s all I have for guests, if you want I can try adding something to the end to extend it.” She offered
David politely shook his head “Hey don’t worry about it, I’ve slept in much, much worse conditions before, this is good, thank you.” He finished letting out a yawn, just realizing now, how tired he had gotten.
“If you need anything at all, I’m only across the hall.” Fluttershy kindly added with a soft smile as she made her way towards the door. “Have a nice cozy sleep.” She purred as she walked out of the guest room and closed the door behind her.
David, now very tired, didn’t even notice her change in tone as he stripped down to his underpants and got comfy in the bed that only went down to his knees, and very soon after, he succumbed to peaceful slumber.

A light, muffled noise, roused David slowly from his sleep, causing him to flutter one his eyes open.
It was dark. Everything was in a haze for David. Nothing felt right, his vision was spinning, his mind was clouded, his senses were off, but sharp, and his whole body felt weak and fatigued.
Thinking of it as nothing more than being in a tired daze, David closed his eyes ready to fall back asleep, but quickly opened them back up as he softly heard his room door being opened. Muddled Light hoofsteps echoes in his head and across the room as they drew closer, only stopping at the base of the bed of which he lasted upon.
He heard a shaky, nervous sigh. “It’s ok, he’s asleep, you have nothing to worry about.” The quiet and cloudy voice whispered, sounding like it was trying to reassure someone, or itself.
David barely registered a soft poke to his side, but didn’t react, partially out off of curiosity, but mostly due to that fact that his body felt immobile. He felt a second poke, then something soft started stroking across his arm. It was nice, for David, it felt like thousands of little sparks running up his body and into his head, giving him a light feeling of calmness. but to his clouded displeasure, it abruptly stopped.
David felt what he thought was a muzzle press into the crook of his neck, before a deep inhale could be heard right beside his ear. “Mmmm, this is even more perfect than I could have imagined.” The voice dreamily Mummered.
David could feel the blankets being shifted on top of him, only to be replaced by a light, but wholesome weight resting on one of his right leg.
With that small bit of consciousness and control he had left, David peeked one of his eyes open, curious as to what was happening.
