//-------------------------------------------------------// Frightfully Generous -by Forgetful- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Honest Mistake //-------------------------------------------------------// Honest Mistake Rarity took in the rich night air of Ponyville with a delicate inhale, her ocean blue eyes sparkling much like flawless diamonds in the cozy quiet night. Stars decorated the heavens in a dance of twinkles and glitters. The moon basking the land below in a lovely pastel blue light, it was welcoming and calming to all lucky enough to witness it. Rarity smiled to herself lifting a dainty hoof over her mouth politely as she allowed a giggle to escape into the night sky above. This was a near perfect evening to be completely honest, she had her pink colored lawn table set up femininely in her backyard. Cute periwinkle colored tea cups were set up neatly on the surface as a plate of freshly baked glazed donuts sat in the middle deliciously. The scent of warm butter and homemade glaze wafting high into the air gently, napkins set beside her plate the only thing missing was the brew. A melodic whistle sang proudly from inside her boutique as Rarity felt her ears perk up swiftly. Her tail swaying side to side as she joyously cantered into her place of work, the strawberry flavored tea an absolutely perfect compliment to her pastries this night. The tiny unicorn meticulous with every delicate action she took, her warm blue magic lifting the kettle off her stove. Floating the sweet scented brew across the shop as if dancing to a silent melody. Rarity had not had a decent night inside like this in forever, a simple night of peace and quiet. One she hoped secretly might last forever. Cantering outside she took a moment to inhale the fresh scent of the night once more, filling her lungs with something lovely. Just as putrid scented webbing suddenly exploded out of the abyss of the night, encasing her whole muzzle in a horrible wet purple substance. Rarity gagging behind her sudden muzzle trap, eyes burning a bright red while the scent of rotted eggs and curled milk worked their way down into her lungs. Her whole backyard engulfed in the horrible violet web, the sticky substance clinging over her table sickeningly. Her cups intertwined high above in tiny cocoons of silk as even the donuts were being carried off into the void of darkness by dozens of tiny black spiders. Worse yet Rarity could only release a muffled scream in horror, at what had sat in her seat smugly. A giant of a spider with periwinkle covering her from head to toe. Long silken hair that was as black as the night, tied into two matching bouncy pigtails upon her head with blood crimson ribbons. Five large black eyes gazing deeply into her soul as pouty full lips curled into a devilishly wicked smirk. Two gleaming white fangs poking out to sparkle in the dim light of the night. She had six arms pushing out from her fashionable garments of a crimson twin romper, delicate back buttons lining the front in a sassy manner. “My you're not what we expected!” The creature snapped a thin finger daintily, a tea cup falling into her grasp perfectly. “Mm-hmm! Mm-hmm!” Rarity screamed in a panic a large claw of webbing lunging out from the dark, yanking the unicorn off the ground into the large web just above her open door. “For a arachnid hater!” The young spider gave a feminine hmph, holding out her cup as the many spiders around her carried over the kettle, gently pouring her some fresh tea. “Mmmmm! Mm-hmm!” Rarity squealed helplessly being spun by dozens of horrible spiders into a tight violet cocoon, her head poking out from the tip with eyes full of terror. “But don't fret dear, you might hate arachnids but we'll love you! ~ Ahuhuhu!” The creature flashed her monstrous fangs deviously, flipping high into her web in search of prey. She was exceedingly fast at transversing her sticky webbing, closing in on the sobbing pony caught in her trap with utmost ease. The creature enjoying the scent of fear dripping off her tears, purring aloud as her delicate touch brushed the violet mane of the equine to the side. “You'll make a lovely smore, I think I'll use you as the marshmallow! ~ Ahuhuhu!” Her mouth opened extra wide the saliva trickling down her chin, eyes glowing with hunger. Yet even as Rarity winced in agony from the devouring of her body, it never came nor did any pain from a bite for that matter. Rarity creaking open frightened eyes to see this odd creature reading a large white note in her hand. “So this Chrysalis is like a villain?” The creature pouted in embarrassment, the tiny whispering of a spider at her side speaking in a unknown language to ponies. “Hmm, this is highly embarrassing.” She sighed quickly plucking a single thread off Rarity's cocoon, the pony falling free to the ground below with a dull thud. “I can breathe!!” Rarity gasped on her belly in frantic horror, her coat frazzled out and mane now beyond repair. “Sorry about trying to devour you, my mistake!” The spider swung down to the equine’s level with a giggle, hanging from a delicate strand of webbing upside down. “But why!?” Rarity could only scrunch her muzzle in confusion. “We heard ponies had been beating up on a poor defenseless arachnid, from our land far beyond the seeing world!” The creature spoke in a eerie cosmic sense. “So we came through a portal made by our delicious friend, to seek out justice most sweet!” The spider giggled as Rarity shook her head in confusion. “You heard about our battles with Chrysalis?” Rarity questioned politely. “Well not I personally, Annie heard it from Thomas who, heard it from Blake…” The spider suddenly glanced down to her tiny friend on her hand. “Oh, he heard it from Jerry! My apologies.” She sheepishly blushed. “Okay! Well Chrysalis is a villain so we simply defended ourselves, off back home then.” Rarity felt her voice detaching from reality, the world around her beginning to spin. “Funny story our friend Alphys, told us the portal might not be ready to use! Something about being unable to retrieve blah, blah, blah!” The creature flaunted her hand flippantly in the air, a awkward silence filling the air between the two. “Oh! Well…” Rarity folded her ears down as time around her came to a crawl. “I was just going to eat you and use your home as a base, best not to count chickens hmm!?” She gave a small cough of pure embarrassment, averting all five eyes down to her feet. “Indeed.” Rarity bit her lower lip. “Oh well! Just need to find a cold dark cave to settle in...alone…” Those large five eyes lifted upward to Rarity ever so innocently. “You and you're kin, wouldn't want to maybe stay here?” Rarity sighed in defeat as she let those fateful words fall from her lips delicately. The spiders all giving a squee at once as soon hundreds of tiny spiders flooded into her boutique in a dark wave of black. The largest of them all suddenly pulling the pony in a grateful embrace with all six arms, squeezing her soft plush body firmly. “That is beyond generous of you! My name is Muffet, charmed to make your acquaintance!” Muffet giggled with a beaming smile of gratitude, flashing fangs to her hostess joyously. Rarity felt a cold shiver running down her spine. Secretly wishing this night was over. //-------------------------------------------------------// Morning Fright //-------------------------------------------------------// Morning Fright “They're going to eat me!” Rarity rolled side to side in her extravagant bed tirelessly, her pink satin sheets wrinkling and falling to the dark floor below. “No, the big one is in my mane!” She whimpered in her slumber, dainty white hooves lifting up in the air batting away invisible pests. “Spiders dancing!?” Rarity suddenly snapped awake in horror, finding that she was floating high above her bed wrapped tightly in a fresh cocoon. The mare grew limp in absolute terror of the moment, she wanted to scream though only a squeak of helplessness escaped her tiny upturned muzzle. Her large blue eyes watching with awe as Muffet descended from the ceiling slowly, her mouth curled into a sickly wicked smile of fangs. “Good morning, Starshine!” Muffet giggled femininely before plucking a strand of webbing, Rarity softly let free plopping onto large bed with the utmost care. “You're not eating me?” Rarity scrunched her nose awkwardly. “Good heavens no! That would be so rude to devour one's hostess!” Muffet raised a thin brow cutely, swinging off her web as she landed on the floor to the right with absolute grace. “Just the cocoon thing…” Rarity blushed a bright pink hue over both cheeks, giving a feminine long stretch upon her sheets. “Oh, you seemed chilled last night.” Muffet flaunted her hand to the mare with sophisticated sass. “So I bundled you up, all nice and toasty!” The charming spider lifted a hand over her lips, giving a polite giggle. “That's very sweet of you, darling.” Rarity nervously replied, the horrific memories of the night before flooding back. Muffet simply gave a curtsey in place like any polite young girl, exiting the room with a warm lovely smile. Making sure to give her hostess some privacy to get ready, the sound of her scurrying down the hallway echoing across the house eerily. Rarity had no idea what she could do in this predicament, the last thing she wanted was to be rude to her guests. Hundreds of guests that if possibly provoked could swarm her house easily, devouring the helpless pony within. Giving a loud groan of dismay Rarity quickly floated an elegant white brush to her side, haphazardly brushing her mane as her mind drifted to the sight of her house. It had to be complete mess by now, that many creatures in one setting could do nothing but destruction. Releasing a loud horse sigh from betwixt her lips, Rarity braced herself to see her home in shambles, she had to find Twilight soon and search for a way to send these creatures back home. She was a pony of neatness and grace two things spiders couldn't be, biting her lower lip the unicorn headed downstairs to quite the sight. Spotless, the house was even cleaner than the night before. The kitchen was alive with the sounds of cooking and laughter, wonderful otherworldly scents wafting across the air delicately tickling Rarity's nose. Sweet cinnamon, rich vanilla and even delectable melted chocolate, every warm cozy scent imaginable flooded the house. Rarity noticed her work table was empty of her personal commissions from the night before, to the left they were hung up neatly in place ready to be shipped out. But such a thing was impossible, it would've taken her days to bejewel those dresses of the finest silk. Yet before her very eyes they were covered in shimmering rubies and glistening sapphires, sewn in place with care like no other and femininely placed in the perfect positions. Rarity let her ears fold back sheepishly with shame, she had thought of these monsters as creatures of decay. But if anything they were intelligent and very polite. “Something wrong madame?” Muffet daintily tapped the mare on her shoulder, Rarity giving a cute “eek” before turning around with a somber gaze. “Did you do all this?” Rarity waved her hoof across this lovely site. “But of course, we're guests it’d be rude to leave a mess.” Muffet smiled warmly watching the pony suddenly lean in giving her a hug. “I must apologise for my rude behavior darling, I just thought.” Rarity searched her mind for a phrase that wouldn't be considered rude, ocean blue eyes narrowing slightly. “That spiders were just creeping, crawling pests?” Muffet crossed all six arms across her torso adorably, arching a thin brow a bit sarcastically. Rarity pursed her lips into a frown of defeat, her cheeks on fire with the hot burning of a beet red blush. Muffet simply bursting into a fit of giggles out of the blue, each of her five eyes sparkling joyously. “It's perfectly fine deary, wouldn't be the first time!” Muffet used her tiny hands to quickly primp the mare’s mane, making sure her hostess didn't appear frazzled. With a sly wink the spider swayed her hips side to side, her bouncy raven pigtails dancing carelessly in place as she was swift to lead the unicorn into the kitchen area. Rarity was happy to follow the creature towards the delectable scent of freshly baked goods, both entering the small workplace bustling with excitement. Dozens of spiders were busy baking various sweets and cakes, others joyously brewing teas of every flavor in Equestria. Rarity had to admit that some blueberry tea right now would be absolutely divine, the unicorn wasting no time to politely take a seat at the main table. “This is just fabulous, dear!” Rarity beamed with delight a plate of lovely cherry filled donuts being brought over to her swiftly by tiny spiders. “You must taste the donuts, it's a family recipe!” Muffet flaunted six hands towards the unicorn cutely, Rarity nodding in agreement her magic lifting a sweet treat up high. “Mmm, smells divine!” Rarity took a very feminine bite from the fruit filled sweet, savoring the sweet yet tart taste of the donut with a tiny moan of pleasure. “Ahuhuhu, it's a Spider Donut! In fact I think that was Aunt Sharon!” Muffet grinned in devious delight, barring sharp gleaming fangs with mischievous intent. Rarity just held the donut in her mouth politely, her eyes widening out into large pools of unbound terror. She wasn't sure, but could swear she felt Sharon's legs twitching in her mouth, the cream colored unicorn turning a sickly shade of green. “Ahuhuhu, I'm just kidding hon!” Muffet gave an adorable snort aloud, waving sweetly with her thin fingers towards a tiny spider stirring a bowl of fresh batter. “Sharon, is my top Baker! Taught this itsy bitsy spider everything she knows!” Muffet was quick to dance elegantly around the kitchen, checking in on her family politely. “Yes, funny.” Rarity slowly swallowed the bite, her appetite quickly fading away into the abyss. Muffet reached across the counter picking up a large wicker basket, letting it drape gracefully from one of her slender arms. Those midnight colored eyes lighting up with a sense of excitement, her lips curling into a confident sweet smile. “Shall we be off?” The young spider arched her hips to the side deviously, Rarity swallowing a rather large lump in her throat with caution. “Oh dear, off where!?” Rarity felt an icy chill run down her spine. “Off to gather supplies at the market!” Muffet twirled in place playfully. “Oi.” Rarity folded her ears back slowly, this would be an odd one to explain.
