↞Chapter 3: Very Big Liar↠

"Oh hi, Pinkie Pie. What are you doing here so late?" Fluttershy barely peeked her head through the crack of her front door. The light from the moon only radiated down atop her pink mane and made it hard for Pinkie to really see her face. It was a black shadow at this point, and if the earth pony wasn't so desperate right now she might've turned around and went home instead. But she needed a soft kind voice right now. She really needed it.

"Can I come in?" She said in a shaky tone, trying not to reveal that she's been crying.

"Yes of course," Her friend whispered before proceeding to hold her door open. Pinkie dragged her hooves inside fluttershy's cottage. It was messy as always, but that was expected with all the animals she allowed in her home. The pink mare took a seat beside a window. Fluttershy sat opposite to her. For a good five minutes neither pony said a word.

"I'm sorry if I woke you," It was nearly midnight. She hoped her friend wasn't too deep asleep before her arrival, but surprisingly when she got there Fluttershy had instantly opened the door. Had she been sitting down here all this time? Did she sleep down here? What happened to her bedroom?

"That's alright. I was barely snoozing," she then made a small giggle. Pinkie only smiled out of habit and courtesy. Finding nothing particularly funny about what Fluttershy said. There was another long wave of silence.

"I-i heard about..your criminal coatfriend," The timid mare finally said while twirling a strand of hair around her hoof. Pinkie looked at her a bit confused. Both at the fact that she somehow knew about Augustus and assumed he was a criminal.

"What?-"

"I mean that's what Rarity told me that Bonbon told her….she said she saw Aj going off on him earlier this evening." Gossip. How quickly it spreads in just a few measly hours. Bonbon didn't even get the story right.

Great. If Rarity knew about it then surely the rest of her friends knew too, and all of town, and soon all of Equestria. Now how was she going to counter the claims of her future husband being a criminal? Hopefully this game of broken telephone had more stories than one, and hopefully they didn't all revolve around him having a questionable career.

All Pinkie could do was sigh before replying.

"He isn't a criminal and Applejack was yelling at me, not him," Now go tell Rarity that. Not that Rarity would even bother to fix her story after she told a trillion ponies by this point.

The pegasus gasped. "oh my, but why would she yell at you?"

Because she was drunk and confused.

At least that is what Pinkie Pie was deciding to tell herself. It was better that than Applejack just strolling in there to potentially ruin her relationship with her coatfriend. But why would she do that? Must be pure jealousy. Obviously her crazy violent brother didn't allow her to date. Good. Let her suffer and be forever alone, never loved by any stallion, or anypony for that matter. It was a fate a witch like her deserved.

Fluttershy poured herself a glass of boiling hot tea. Pinkie hadn't noticed the pot sitting on the end table between the chairs before, to no surprise, since this place was far too cluttered to really notice anything being anywhere. Her house was also so dimly lit that Pinkie Pie honestly wondered how she was even able to see her tea cup.

"I...don't want to talk about it," but she actually did. It was the reason she snuck out this late at night to begin with. After her wild day out, Pinkie just wanted to sleep.
Sleep seemed to be her only safe haven, her perfect solitude. Nopony would hurt her in her dreams, and in her dreams life was how it should be. It was normal. It was wonderful, and she never wanted it to end. But of course you could never sleep forever, and she would be dragged back to the realities of her new life eventually. Sleep was easier before, but now it became difficult. She recently found herself flooded with a tidal wave of nightmares, and that was simply unfair. Why ruin the one thing she had?

They were flashbacks really. All of Macintosh violating her over and over again. It felt so real that she honestly believed he was right there in her room, laying on top of her, and taking his time just shattering what little soul she had left.

Why was she being tortured so? What did she possibly do to deserve this?

Pinkie couldn't help the waterworks. They just kept coming all day. She was starting to think that if she kept this up, she would have no tears left to cry. To think that a pony that was once the embodiment of laughter and happiness, would be sobbing all the time like a big fat cryfilly. Funny how these things work.

"What's wrong?" Fluttershy put her tea down and embraced her friend.

"I-i...think...I" Pinkie Pie was now making wet loud hiccups between each word. She couldn't even control them. It was like on cue every 5 seconds she would hic. The fit was getting so bad that the mare found it hard to make even a coherent sentence.

"Its okay, Pinkie. You can tell me," the pegasus then proceeded to rub her back in such a kind and loving matter that Pinkie Pie felt like a foal again, cradled against her mother's chest. She should just tell her everything. She should just let her emotions spill out now. Why hold it in? Why protect ponies that didn't care about her?

"He...h-hurt….me" Was all she could muster before more hics. It's all she felt comfortable saying.

How pathetic Pinkie. Just spit it out.

"Who hurt you?"

"I ….can't say…" Why wasn't she just saying it? She could say, and she should. She should expose him for his crimes, have the whole town know that that jerk was nothing but a dirty rapist. She should tell her. She should, but what would Applejack say? What would the rest of her friends think? How would Augustus feel about her?

Fluttershy seemed to catch on to her concerns. She hugged her tight and let her cry for a minute more before asking.

"How did he hurt you? Was it your coatfriend?" Pinkie shook her head instantly. Ponies were already starting to see him as a bad guy, she did not need to add on to that.

Almost as if the mare could read minds, she instantly knew. At least thought she knew. Pulling Pinkie back and looking her dead in the eyes, Fluttershy coldly uttered,

"It was Mr.Cake wasn't it? I knew it! I knew it the moment that bastard laid a hoof on my flank that he was nothing but a no good pervert." Her friend was growing more visibly upset. Pinkie had never seen her like this before. She was actually raising her voice, and not in that quiet semi-whisper way. But it was loud and booming and so sudden that it hurt Pinkie's ear drums. She also had a stern look on her face. Maybe it was anger, but it more resembled that scolding expression a parent would have. The pegasus took hold of Pinkie Pie's Forelegs.

"wha-"

"How far did he go? Did he make you do things to him? Did he touch you down there?" She was treating her like a foal, and maybe that was warranted with how dumb she could be at times, and stupidly clueless. Like when she spoke back to Big Mac.

Pinkie Pie gulped. These question were embarrassing and made her very uncomfortable. She should just say no now. Tell her that she got the wrong guy.

"Don't tell me he mounted you. If he did Pinkie you need to tell me now," Not knowing how to respond, but also oddly not wanting to upset Fluttershy, all she could do was nod through her shocked tears. Her friend was so sure of herself. She was really convinced he did this. Pinkie should've corrected her.

She really should have.

"I can't believe he would ever do such a thing! That is beyond just being a perv! Oh Celestia, Pinkie. We need to go now,"

"G-go where?" She asked through sniffles.

"To the hospital of course. Has he been touching on you all this time? Why didn't you tell any of us," Fluttershy pulled Pinkie up from her chair as she frantically rushed her towards the front door. She locked it behind her then practically forced Pinkie in the direction of town.

"Wait..why are we going to the hospital?" The earth pony hesitantly asked. Her foreleg was beginning to hurt from the amount of force Fluttershy was tugging on it.

The pegasus only briefly turned to face her friend. She tried to give her a reassuring smile. "To take tests of course.."

Tests? What kind of tests? Pinkie's mind was racing at all the possible things that could be wrong with her. She couldn't have the doctors know what happened. She couldn't have any pony knowing. Obviously telling Fluttershy wasn't such a good idea.

"..and to get the law involved. We'll make that rapist wish he never touched you,"

↞⧫↠

Mr. Cake never touched her.

He wasn't always kind all the time, and yeah sometimes he would over work her and not give her enough pay, but he never touched her. How do you tell somepony that after the scene Fluttershy caused? After all these doctors came in, followed by police officers, and then Twilight. How do you keep it together and just come clean when every pony felt sorry for her. They were upset because of what happened to her. They all cared. They cared, and that was what Pinkie Pie was thirsting for all this time. It felt good seeing all these ponies rushing back and forth, for her. It was like she mattered.

But Mr.Cake never touched her.

"Pinkie Pie, you need to tell us exactly what happened to you," Twilight sat next to her friend on the hospital bed. Two detectives stood near the door with notebooks in hoof, jotting every word down. She wondered where Fluttershy went, but maybe Twilight had her wait outside since she was so hyped.

Pinkie inhaled. The right thing to do would be to tell the truth here and now. Let ponies know that it wasn't this nice stallion that harmed her. She could just say she was joking and made everything up.

"Its okay we are all on your side," He friend extended a wing around her. She spoke so softly that Pinkie wanted to cry all over again. She really should just tell the truth.

"It...happened two weeks ago," This was her chance to get it all off her chest, but it was like her mouth was moving all on its own. Pinkie shouldn't lie. She really shouldn't. "I was in the kitchen cooking… Mrs.Cake was sleeping upstairs cause it was.." She should stop now. She needed to stop now. "..it was late and he was drunk and mean.." And he didn't do this. He would never do this. He was kind enough to give her a job and a home when she needed it most. He took her in. He helped her. "He told me….he told me he wanted to…" Pinkie paused thinking about how Applejack reacted today. To think that such a hardworking and honest mare would make a fool out of herself in front of everyone. To think she would even try to work while drunk. To think she would even get drunk in the first place. She thought about her friend's black eye. "I said no. He has a wife and foals and I didn't want to do stuff like that with him..I tried to get away.." and her swollen lip, and bruised body, and Macintosh beating her, and beating her, and beating her. "He forced me down anyways... and I tried to kick and scream..but he just shoved a dish rag in my mouth.." And beating Pinkie.

"Its okay. Take your time,"

Pinkie couldn't even react anymore. She grew cold, and for the second time that day she felt emotionless.

"..and he got on top and he raped me."

But Mr.Cake never touched her. He never looked at her funny and he never so much as cheated on his wife. Did any of that matter to Pinkie Pie? She would say yes, but her actions told otherwise.

"Did you guys get all that? Can you give us a moment please," Twilight spoke to the detectives. They nodded and had such pity in their eyes. Pinkie was shocked there wasn't so much as a hint of disgust. At least not towards her. The two mares waited quietly for the officers to leave before Twilight gave Pinkie another tight hug.

"You're very brave, you know that? It takes a lot to speak up about something like this, and I'm glad you did." She got up from the bed and walked towards the open window, looking outside and down at the citizens of Ponyville. "I would have never imagined something so gruesome happening here, in our small little town, and to you, Pinkie."

It was nice to hear Twilight say it. It stood as confirmation to all of Pinkie's pervious fears. She felt almost justified not saying anything for the past two weeks. Ponies were judgmental, but at least she would be on the right side of their judgment. This time.

There was a strange sound coming from the window. Pinkie was tempted to ask Twilight what was happening down there. Maybe the news also came to hear what happened, or there was an angry mob surrounding the hospital, because somehow they knew Pinkie Pie was a liar. She slowly got up to check for herself only to realize it was her friend crying.

"I-i wish I could've been as strong as you Pinkie. I let it go on for years without saying anything, and look at him now," Pinkie just stood there and let her cry, not knowing how she should respond. There was faint comfort in realizing that she might not be the only one. She was curious to know more, like how did her powerful friend handle such a situation, but she found it rude to pry.

"He's married with a family and happy, and look at me," Twilight flung her head in her hooves, weeping like a newly widow. Her long velvet hair draped over her face. Her wings quivered with each sob, and her horn shook atop her mane.

"You're happy too, right Twi? I mean you're a princess now, and you have all your friends and-" Pinkie wanted her to feel better. She needed to make her feel better since it's just what Pinkie does. She plays the clown for others amusement. For others well being.

"I tried killing myself several times before coming to Ponyville. It was the main reason Celestia assumed I needed friends," Twilight chuckled. Pinkie could see the slight shame in her dreary eyes. "I feel like they knew. All of them. My parents, my teachers, the princess…"

Using her magic, a handkerchief appeared before them. Twilight took it to blow her nose.

"..Cadence".

By this new revelation, Pinkie felt more compelled. Did she really want to be responsible for causing an innocent pony's pain. What about his family? Would they cry like Twilight is now? Maybe now is the time to officially come clean with the truth. She just really hoped her friend wouldn't be mad, she hoped Mr.Cake would forgive her, and maybe they could all move on with their lives.

"Twilight I-"

Pinkie was interrupted by a knock on the door. The knob turned and opened to reveal one of the doctors Pinkie was forced to talk to earlier. This particular one made her pee in a cup right in front of him. He was a tall blue stallion with a white lab coat and a clipboard in his muzzle, and he unintentionally made her feel extremely uncomfortable.

Noticing the princess with her back turned he waited a minutes before clearing his throat and finally saying something. "I do apologize if I'm interrupting anything," He looked a little worried. Could this be bad news? Twilight tried to fix herself up before facing the doctor. Making her stature more tall and authoritative, she slightly raised her voice.

"Not at all. Did you get the test results back?" The princess approached him to see exactly what he had written down. He frowned.

"Well it seems Ms.Pie is, with one hundred percent certainty..." He paused leaving them waiting in anticipation. This definitely couldn't be good. Was she dying? Maybe she caught some far off and life threatening disease. Pinkie didn't want to die. Not painfully, and in a hospital bed anyway.

The two mares held their breath, waiting for him to just spit it out.

"..pregnant."

The news was harsh, but hardly shocking. It was like life was testing to see how far it could go before it finally broke her.

"Knock, knock! Guess who?" Rainbow Dash poked her head behind the hospital curtain. She had balloons in hoof and a cocky grin on her face. Typical for her speedy friend. The balloons were nice. Bright and pink and some shaped in silly nonsensical forms. She tied them to her bed frame.

"Hello, Sweetheart. Why do they still have you in this awfully dingy room?" Rarity walked in after with Fluttershy by her side. She used her magic to inspect the particles of dust on one if the night tables. Typical for her snooty friend. Rarity had a warped box with her which she placed on Pinkie's lap. It was a cute little gift. Decked out with a huge white bow and fancy paper. By the size and weight of it, though, it didn't seem like anything of value. Probably a cupcake or some dessert since her friends, Rarity especially, assumed all Pinkie Pie's interests were consumed with useless gadgets and food. She usually wouldn't be so offended by that thought, but now she kinda was. Not that she would ever even think of expressing that.

Just smile and show gratitude.

"Right, Pinkie why are you still in the hospital? Were you hurt or somethin'," Rainbow dash hovered in place, allowing her beautiful wings to flex out with each slow flap. Showing off as always. Sometimes Pinkie Pie wished she could fly. It was probably close to impossible to ever harm a pony as fast as Rainbow Dash. What a lucky mare she was.

"Of course she's hurt! How could you even ask that," Fluttershy interjected. This whole situation was taking a toll on her. It was nice having a friend that cared so deeply like she did, but Pinkie wondered if she was trying to make up for something. She was in no place to accuse anypony of anything, especially when she had no evidence, but there was something off about Fluttershy recently. She couldn't help but think back on a few days ago when she caught the mare looking a little too closely at Pumpkin. There was a strange expression on her face, but the more Pinkie thought about it the more convicted she felt. How could she even think such thoughts about her friend? Her stupid brain was starting to get all paranoid and coming up with fictitious situations.

"It's fine darling, some ponies just don't understand the effects sexual assault can have on a pony. You can't blame them for being insensitive and ignorant." Rarity took a seat and dusted her coat off. She magically poofed a mirror and brush before her and began fixing her hair. "We all must remember that Rainbow Dash is perfect and damn near bulletproof, you know. Nothing hurts her, therefore she can't comprehend other ponies pain-"

The blue pegasus rolled her eyes and scoffed.

"Anyways...I tried to get Aj to come, but Mac said she wasn't feeling so hot. He wouldn't let me see her, so I think that was just an excuses. She must still be mad at you for dating that cop," An excuse was right. It was most likely an excuse for him. Poor Applejack. No. She shouldn't feel bad for her. Aj deserved it and brought the pain unto herself.

"Cop? I thought he was a thug?" Rarity nearly dropped her brush when she said it. Here they go again with there gossiping lies. Was it really worth it to correct any of them?

"Nah, I was literally there when she went off yesterday. She definitely asked if he was a cop," Rainbow said snarkingly as if it was some sort of achievement. Were they not all suffering from secondhand embarrassment? Pinkie knew for damn sure she wouldn't be going around bragging about some ponies mental break down. Especially if that pony was a friend.

Pinkie Pie didn't even want to entertain this right now.

"Maybe he's an undercover cop," Fluttershy muttered. She needed to get in on the lies too.

"Either way I wonder how he'll respond to the whole rape thing. Everypony knows smaller stallions are more aggressive and self conscience. Isn't that right Rainbow,"

There was this deafening awkward silence followed by this thick tension. The room was so quiet you could literally hear a pin drop. Rainbow Dash landed while giving Rarity a cold, dead stare. She looked just about ready to rip her head off.

"I wouldn't know since I never dated a dude shorter than me," The response was short and sweet. They should end it there.

"Didn't know you 'dated' dudes at all-" of course they wouldn't, and Rarity just had to let this whole thing erupt. Rainbow Dash got into a defensive pose.

"What's your deal, Rarity? What are you trying to fucking accuse me of?" The pegasus yelled.

"Woah language," Dash was using every muscle in her body to stop herself from attacking Rarity just there and then. Everyone could literally feel the anger radiating off of her.

"Hey guys maybe we shouldn't fight in front of Pinkie-" Fluttershy tried to get in between the two.

"Is there something you wanna say? huh?"

If they kept this up security would be called. How shameful that would be. Pinkie hung her head not trying to see what would inevitably unfold before her.

"All I'm saying is that if you're going to do something in private, own up to it. Sooner or later you're going to be exposed, darling." Rarity spitefully giggled. What the hell was going on?

"I don't have to fucking take this. I'm sorry Pinkie but I need to go. I'll catch you and Shy later," She then took flight and left.

"Yes that's right. Run from your problems. Typical Rainbow Dash running way when situations get tough,"

The door shut. More silence followed.

"W-what was that about?" Fluttershy asked. Pinkie was curious as well. What in the world was happening all around her.

"Rainbow just doesn't want to confront reality and that's her prerogative, but Pinkie Pie you need to listen to me and listen to me good," Rarity got so very serious.

"I know you have always been the most innocent of us all but that ends today. No more lollygagging like a foal, you now need to pull up your big filly pants and grow up," Wow. That was mean. Pinkie really shouldn't let other ponies speak to her like that, but she guessed there was a bit of truth in her statement. Her friend got up and looked her in the eyes.

"You're pregnant now and that comes with a whole new load of problems. If your coatfriend is a criminal that too will come with more issues, trust me I know first hoof." Pinkie was shocked she said that. Augustus wasn't a criminal. Well not to Pinkie's knowledge at least. But did Rarity just admit that?

"And then you'll have the trial and not to mention your usual responsibilities to your nation. Of course you'll have us there with you, but Pinkie Pie this is mainly on you."

"I-i...know" Pinkie never really sat down and thought about that. She didn't have to before today. How would she deal with all of this. There was so much now added on her plate. Will there ever be room for fun?

Fluttershy hugged her again. "It's alright. Like Rarity said, we are here for you and won't let anything happen to you." Right. She had her friends and that was all that mattered. With friends everything was possible. She just needed to trust in them.

" ...but you mentioned a trial.." Pinkie asked timidly.

"Yes of course, Darling. You're gonna have to appear in front of a jury of your peers and tell them exactly what Mr.Cake did to you. There already were a few news crews downstairs when we got here, so I imagine this to be the story of the century," That meant ponies already knew. Everyone knew. How would she ever face the world now? Rarity must be crazy if she thought Pinkie would ever show up in a crowded room and lie to them all. Mr.Cake was innocent. She just needed to let someone know before things got more out of hand.

"W-when do I have to?"

"I haven't a clue, but I imagine soon. They are probably arresting Cake as we speak, if they haven't already," Pinkie gulped. Rarity continued.

"I can't even think about how his wife must feel about this whole thing, let alone his foals. Poor things will have to grow up knowing there father raped one of the elements of harmony." Her tone was so calm as if she wasn't just discussing something so unsettling. Pinkie Pie hadn't even considered the other ponies involved in her lie. She really was about to ruin lives. How could she do that. It was already getting bad and it hadn't even been a few hours since she spoke to Twilight.

"Oh well. He should've thought about that before sticking his dick in you,"

Author's Note

This is kinda sorta two chapters in one ヘ( ̄ω ̄ヘ).

I wrote the first part and when starting the second part I felt like it fit better together.
