Vlog One: Cooking With Laura My POV: One day in the kitchen, I was setting up my ingredients has I placed the flour beside the measuring cup which was meant for the flour. I smiled and saw everything was ready, now I needed to turn on the recorder. I was wearing a pair of jeans, a white t-shirt with my black cross cutie mark, a pair of my best sneakers that were the colours of a dark blue and white. My hair was in a short pony-tail so that my dead hairs doesn't land into the batter nor on the floor. I continue to smile as I finally turn on the camera. I quickly ran behind the counter as the small light which was the colour green came on, I said as the recorder was running... "Hey, there my cutie-angels! It's me, Laura! And today we are going to make a delicious chocolate cake with the best purple buttercream icing you'll ever see!" I began to get a large bowl as I get my ingredients, like eggs or milk. I settled them down as I said... "We first put two cups of all purpose flour." I began to open the flour, but however... it couldn't open. I grumbled as I tried to open the bag till I finally opened it as the flour spilled all over my apron and even some on my face. I blushed as I coughed a bit as the flour came out of my mouth. Later in my video, I was done with the cake batter as it had a chocolatey consistency and it even too smelled like chocolate. I began to get out a medium sized pan, as it was too square shaped. "Now for this step, you carefully and slowly put the batter into your pan." I smiled as I got out my trusting whisk which was obviously a beautiful silver colour and I began to pick up the bowel filled with the batter and slowly used my utensil to put the batter in. Later, I put the cake pan into the oven as I said... "We put the oven for twenty minutes and now my cutie-angels! We shall make our icing... which is buttercream with the delicious purple food colouring!" The recorder turned off on its own as I settled it to ten minutes. I sighed happily as I began to get out my ingredients for my frosting till I could hear a hippie's voice... "Heya Laur." I turned my head to see my boyfriend, Zephyr Breeze. He was wearing a different outfit since too it was a hot summer day and it was a bit... "Breezy" outside, he was wearing a green shirt with the symbol of his cutie mark, a pair of jeans which were a bit ripped. And too, he was wearing some brown sandals as his hair was in his usual bun... but instead of an elastic band or a hair tie... it was chopsticks. Yes, chopsticks because since he was wearing them, it was a new trend in Canterlot High school. He came to me as he picked me up, thankfully too I had my ingredients which was butter and vanilla extract. I yelled... "Zephyr Breeze! Put me down!" "Nah..." He said as he kissed my lips, blush came across my face as I kissed back. I said... "So... you came for my video?" "Oh, wait you're doing a video? Of what?" "Well, a cooking video... or I should call it a baking video." He turned his head as he saw the mess in the kitchen, there was flour on the floor due to the incident, some egg shells and even some spilt sugar on the counter. He turned his head to me, he gave me a crooked eyebrow and a face like "Really?". A small squee came from my mouth and lightly giggled, in a worrisome way. Later on, we cleaned the kitchen, which took us almost five minutes. Zephyr sighed as he kissed the back of my head, a blushed as I held onto his aqua blue hand as I remembered something... the icing sugar for my buttercream... and even my purple food colouring! I let go Zephyr's hand, as I began to search for some icing sugar... but it wasn't there. I began to panic as I realised the video is gonna be ruined. I heard a beep coming from the stove which was my cake. I settled on my white oven mittens as I got the cake out of the oven, which looked amazingly good! I settled it on top of a cooling rack as I got off my mittens, I settled them beside the rack and continued to search for my last two ingredients. Zephyr too was looking as he finally found it. It was the purple food colouring and the icing sugar. It was underneath the sink as he saw bags of my secret stash which had candy's, chips, chocolates, you name. But dang it Zephyr! He got them out as he used his foot to the close the door, he settled them on the counter as he said... "You know Laur girl... you shouldn't panic..." "Why?!" I yelled till a turned my eyes to see... my ingredients! I gasped happily as I ran to Zephyr Breeze as I hugged him. I too later on kissed his lips as he kissed back... oh how I love him! Minutes went by as the video was done, I felt exhausted from the hassle I went through but now I did it! All I needed now was to edit the video and put in the intro and even too put in a funny blooper at the end. I was on the sofa as I was on my laptop, I began to edit the video. Zephyr came into the living room holding two plates that had the cake I made. I yawned a bit as I felt another kiss on my cheek, I turned my head to see him as I smiled. I put my laptop on the coffee table as I gently grabbed the plate from him, I smiled at the piece and used my fork to stab it through, I took a bite and it wasn't... that bad. A bit crumbly but not bad, Zephyr blushed as he sighed peacefully. I don't know what he was he was thinking... probably about me. He took a bite too as I put my cake on the coffee table, I grabbed my laptop and began to edit once more. I lied down on Zephyr's lap and I sighed as I began to hum, the voice I had was a bit cute as I sung happily. Being with him made me smile and even too... eh, look away from him. I felt his hand go through my hair which felt great to me. He asked... "So, when is it gonna be done?" I looked up at him as I said... "The editing? Soon, perhaps two hours or so." I saw him pout as he whined... "Oh come on.." I jumped a bit, I hated it when he whined about something... even if he wanted to do something. Till he said which made me jump from the sofa... "We have to do it now..." I crooked an eyebrow as continued to look at him... what do you mean by now? I asked... "What do you mean?" "You know... go to the mall?" A small squee came from his mouth. A giggle came from my mouth as I said... "Man, you're cute all in all... but you're a pain in the butt sometimes." I said as I gently rubbed his chin. And so, since the video was made, I successfully uploaded my video after editing for almost two hours, and two good things happened... one, me and Zephyr Breeze went to the mall and hung out. Even too, since he was generous, he bought me a new pair of cheap headphones... what a sweetie. Secondly, my video finally got about two thousand views! Awesome ain't it? Hair Do's My POV: I was humming a sweet tune as I was heading to Cloudsdale, it was a decent spring day as it wasn't too humid but it was just right as the wind was cooling down my mane and even my wings. My mane, however, was washed and ready because Zeyphr asked if I could show the different spring hair do's. I accepted it as he was my boyfriend, even too he said he'll take me to dinner, I told him however I wanted nothing expensive or something luxurious because one, I'm not that mare for fancy stuff and two, I despised being fancy. Anyway, I saw Zeyphr waiting for me as he was sitting on a chair. I think too he was drinking some drink... perhaps soda? I smiled as I flew down towards him, he must've heard me as I landed and he said... "Laur girl!" He said as he went up to me as he pecked my cheek, I blushed slightly as he said... "Come in, come in. I have to experiment you with my do's I told ya about." "Well, didn't you tell me that?" I asked with a smile, as we got inside the house. It was cleaned... well somewhat. There were books on the table, some cans on the coffee table which had the labelled "Hoof Energy". I heard about that drink, it was an energy drink so that you could stay up for hours... well until morning otherwise. I think he must've drunk a lot then, anyway we got to the bathroom as it was big... and I mean big. The walls were coloured with the most beautiful pearl-like colour as the flour had wooden oak tiles and even the toilet, the sink, and even the bathroom cabinet had a nice silvery colour too. I saw a chair too has it had a blue mat underneath it. The chair had a white oak colour as it too had a cushion which was a nice yellow colour attached to it. I sat on the chair as he looked through the salon book that his boss gave him, it was to study the different hairstyles. Trust me, Zeyphr said it wasn't easy but it takes you like five weeks to memorize. He started with a bun, that had flower coloured bow at the back, it was beautiful and I'm sure this is an easy one to do? Right? Well, eh... The hairdo had braids on the head and even on the bun itself. It looked like it would be great for a princess would wear as her hairdo... like Celestia, Luna, or even Princess Cadence herself. Anyway, he combed my hair with a comb as it had the colour of pink and even white glitter. Zephyr smiled as he was doing my mane, he even too thought it was silky. He began to braid my hair as he slowly did it one, by one. I was a bit nervous, but everypony knew they could trust him, so I trust him too. An hour went by as he was putting the bow in. The bow had a beautiful purple colour with a red flower in the middle. He settled it gently till he said... "And done!" I sighed in relief as he gave me the mirror, I used my pegasus wing to hold it. I gasped a bit as I looked... beautiful. My smile grew as for some reason tears developed my eyes. Even as a Christian pony I am, I don't cry a lot but I looked amazing in this bun. I kissed his lips as a huge flushed of red appeared on his face, he kissed back as he held me with his wing. We stopped as he asked... "So? Do you love it?" "Love it... no. I endearment!" I saw his eyes grew into confusion, so I said... "It's another word for love Zeyph." "Oh.. I didn't know that. But anyways, we need to continue the hair do's." "Well okay. If you say so." Later on, it was evening time as Zephyr Breeze was done his hairstyling study, and it was nine o'clock and the ponies were either sleeping, eating dinner or watching a movie in Cloudsdale. I was tired as I yawned, Zephyr saw as I lied down on the sofa. He grabbed my body slowly with his wing as he dragged me to his bed. I felt a bit weirded out but I guess I knew I had to stay a night here. He gently put me on a cloud bed and put a blanket which was a plain brown one around me. I thanked him as I shut my eyes as I felt him kiss my cheek. I giggled as my eyes were still closed, I heard him walk out of the room as he turned off the lamp and closed the door. The next morning came as the sun was shining on Cloudsdale and the birds on the trees were singing a sweet tune. I mumbled as I opened my eyes, I turned my head to see the clock beside me and it was 8:21. I smiled as I thanked God for another day and yawned as I saw the door slammed open. It appeared to be Zephyr, carrying a breakfast tray as it had salad, orange juice and even some hay browns. He sang as he went to me... "I got you, my miss, the best breakfast!" He placed it beside me as he kissed my lips, blush appeared on my face as I kissed back. I said after we let go of the kiss... "Thank you, Zeph." I began to eat and drink as Zephyr was getting ready for work. He combed his hair as he looked into a purple mirror that was attached to some dresser. I enjoyed the breakfast as I got up from bed until I felt Zephyr touching my mane as he began to style it into a simple ponytail. A minute later, he kissed my cheek as I blushed once more and said... "I should get going soon. You got work to do Zeph." "Yeah, I know." Later on, the two went there separate ways. Then so, Zephyr and I had a pretty good night last night and even so I went to that dinner with him! Ha! The End
