Chapter 7

Previous Chapter

"Almost... There..." I said as I continued to speed through the terrain.

I have been running for a very long time now and even trained my Sonido a bit. I say a bit, but now I can use it continuously without much effort. Take that Shonen protagonist, I did more in a week than you do in the entire series.

...

That's not true, I have the potential. Don't suddenly exist like Equestria and kill me.

Regardless, the lack of anything is seriously bugging me. I really should've pack a book or something so I can read when I have downtime. Seriously, do you know how monotonous getting to the bad lands is. I swear I ran into at least five trees because I fell asleep running.

A Rubix Cube would have been nice...

Is this really how I'm going to spend my second week as a sixteen year old? Fuck me. Let me just rest. I'm so tired of- oh, I made it.

"That wasn't that bad." I said to myself.

Shut it outside me, you'll forget until you have to do it again.

"... Okay, so hearing voices is a bad thing... Therapy is going to happen at some point... That's it, going in with reckless abandon." I then sped into the Badlands in the direction of the closest Reishi. Didn't take long to run into a female Changeling. "Social Contact!"

"What the Tartarus!" She yelled as I stopped in front of her. "Who are you?!"

"Are you real!?!" I yelled as I got closer.

"Get away from me, weirdo!" She pushed me away, giving me all the information I need... Hopefully.

"Thank whatever God there is. The voices aren't supportive." I then glared into wherever I heard the voice come from and pointed. "Especially you, Bill!"

"... Umm..."

"Please help me, I've been isolated for a week and need someone to just be close." She hesitated before wrapping her arms around me. "Social Contact."

"This... This is weird. The only reason why I'm doing this is because I can sense the emotional instability in you." She then pulled away while holding on to my shoulders. "Would... Would you like to come to our hive until you can calm down."

"Yes please." I then proceeded to pick her up and look in the direction of the largest collection of Reishi. She did a cute little 'eep' as I did so. "I can get is there really fast."

"Hold on now." In a flash, we were there. "What the... How can you use magic?"

"Don't worry about it right now. I'm just here to talk to whoever is radiating that strong Reishi. And eliminating whatever Hollow that chain is attached to." I walked into the hive without much concern. Even if I'm overwhelmed, I'd still be taken to Chrystalis.

"Hold on, what do you mean sense? And furthermore, why are you so concerned with that Deamon?" She walked in front of me to stop my advance. I simply used Sonido to get around her without a fight.

"I'd rather have you listen in so I won't have to explain it twice." I continued to walk further in. The feeling of Reishi guiding me through the hive made it easy to navigate. "How fast do you think your queen will get here if I call her a dumb bitch?"

"You're very disrespectful."

"I'm efficient."

"Efficiently stupid."

... Okay, fair.

"... I don't still gonna do it." I responded.

"Don't you-" she began. TO LATE!

"Chrystalis is a dumb bitch!" Wow, the acoustics are trash...

Why is the ground shaking?

"You're an idiot." The Changeling said with a face palm.

Suddenly, an even bigger Changeling appeared with a pissed off expression.

"... Found her!" I yelled at the Changeling with a smile.

"Who called me a bitch?!" The larger one yelled.

"Hi... That was me." I said with a smile as I calmly walked up. Of course, she threw a punch.

"You're dead!" I instantly used Sonido to appear behind her. "What? How can you use magic? You shouldn't be able to teleport!"

"... I'm really fast." I explained... I mean... I'm not wrong. "But I only called you a bitch because I wanted to meet you and I'm lazy."

The large bug like equine raised a brow. I... I don't think chitin is supposed to do that... Am I really questioning logic in a anthropomorphic version of a cartoon for girls? What is life?

"Fine... Seeing as you clearly can out run me and you went to extreme measures to call me here... What do you want?" She asked. Chrystalis is a skeptic when it comes to others... To be fair, if I was playing life as the TF2 Spy, I'd be skeptic too.

"I just wanted to meet you!" I said while holding out a hand. "I'm Byakko."

Chrystalis tentative took my hand and tried to squeeze it to get me to submit... My Hierro prevented a lot of it... This passive buff is amazing.

"I'm... Queen Chrystalis; Queen of the Changelings." She introduced herself. Aww, she's straining... Her trying face is un-ironically adorable. She's doing the cure little cheek puff.

"Nice to meet you Chrystalis. I guess for transparency... I'm an Arrancar." She released my head and gave me a confused look... Adorable.

"An Arrancar?"

"I'm a higher evolved Hollow... But I guess you call them Deamons." Everything stopped after I explained that. To be fair, who'd ever guess. "Of course, I was a Feral Hollow until I regained my sentience, now I hunt Hollows."

The two Changelings couldn't help but look at me in fear. Huh, imagine that... The look of fear on a villain in this world. Are Hollows really that much of a threat?

"You... You hunt them?" Chrystalis asked with her voice quivering.

"Yup, I originally came here because I wanted to meet you, but I met a nice dragon on the way and one of her children is roaming the area as a Hollow." I explain as began to stretch. "I'm here to purify it's soul and help it move on."

"You're going to deal with that Deamon? Even I can tell you aren't that strong." I mean... Che isn't wrong. The amount of Reiatsu I feel coming from the Hollow is extraordinary.

"Fair, but I'm also the one that knows the most about them. I'll deal with it and worst case scenario, I'll retreat and come back later." Chrystalis looked at me before I started walking away to the exit.

"No you don't!" She grabbed me and held me close. I was like a big stuffed animal in her arms. "I may only care for my people, but I refuse to let a young colt die." Oh, she's serious... Not like evil serious, but serious serious.

"Why! I trained for this!" I said as I tried to squirm out of Chrystalis grasp. Why is she stronger than Sphinx?!

"No... I can tell your nieve just by your reaction to me holding you. You're not ready in the slightest. Even I, with all my power, couldn't even land a decisive blow again the Deamon after three days of fighting." Oh... I see... Chrystalis is far stronger than Sphinx and she wasn't able to win or even inflict damage.

"I need to train more..." What I need to do is figure out how to utilize my Reishi into attacks. Balla and Cero would probably be the key to winning this fight.

"No, you won't fight it at all... We'll provide you with food and water, but you will not leave this Hive until that creature picks a new hunting ground." That's alarming.

"And how long does that last?" My voice was high as I struggled to comprehend what was happening.

"Ten years, and it got here three years ago." My eyes widened as I tried to wiggle out of her arms.

"No way! I'm not waiting until I'm 23 to leave!" The Changeling that brought me here walked in front of me.

"Listen, your still a kid. You shouldn't be fighting that thing. Leave it to our Deamon Hunters." The Changeling said.

"I'm a professional too. I already killed one!" I responded. While trying to wiggle out of Chrystalis arms.

"You... Killed one?" Thr Changeling looked surprised. She wasn't a expected that.

"Yes, but I was injured. I have to save them" I said the last sentence quietly.

"Save... The Deamons? They're monster who kill indiscriminately!"

"They're lost souls of the dead who couldn't pass on!" I yelled. I glared at her... I couldn't stand the idea of the pain they're going through and who they lost... But Hollows are also victims. "I will cut them down and purify their souls."

"... Fine." Chrystalis said as she put me down. She then spun me around to look at her. "Everyday, we'll spar. If you can beat me, I'll let you fight it. Deal?"

"Deal." I had no hesitation. I couldn't.

Although, I'm happy I could see this side of Chrystalis. She isn't good, but she isn't cruel either. More desperate. Maybe she doesn't play when it comes to the lives of children. She is the mother of a lot of Changelings.

I'll begin training immediately. I need to keep pushing forward. I need to learn the flying technique, Balla, and Cero.

That's my goal... Free the imprisoned dragon child.

...

Weird goal for a DND campaign... I need to write that down.

Author's Note

My unit has a full schedule so I wasn't able to work on anything at all. Not this or even my stories on Wattpad. Anyway, isn't it strange that I began this when I was 16 and now I'm 21. It's wild. Thanks for anyone who stuck with my shit writing.
