I watched her sit there, not a care in the world as the flames that licked away on the walls of the temple slowly started their assault on her hair, the purple strands burning gently and giving off a scent lost in the smoke coming from the rest of the blaze.
"Mr Muroi, please stay with me." She said her voice sounding as weak as the little girl that harboured it, immune to ageing that should have worked and removed her before the end of the first century of her long-winded and inevitably, almost finished life. When she looked up at me I saw no emotion, she didn't care about life any more, dead inside and not far off on the outside. She tried to pull me down, even though I wanted to take her out of that burning temple, to save her, to escape Sotoba and have us live somewhere safe for the rest of our possibly unending lives, but it wouldn't happen, she was finished and had no more hope or reason to soldier on.
"Thank you Mr Muroi."She whispered, leaning onto my cold, dead arm in search of love and safety, even if she knew she wanted to be gone. I felt her become heavy on my arm and looked down to find her asleep before looking back up and staring towards the doorway I had come through, the cleaver I had attacked Mr Ookawa sat lamely on the floor, a slow drip of blood still coming from it. As I looked through the doorway I faintly saw the glowing orb of the sun rising over the valley. I considered taking Sunako away from this damned village to somewhere safe while she was asleep, considering that he couldn't be woken from her sleep by anything but dusk but decided against it. She may of only looked to be a girl but I new she was much older and possibly wiser than I. So I just sat there, stroking what wasn't alight of Sunako's hair as the fire continued to burn away at the building, waiting for the flames to engulf the both of us.
I heard a loud creaking above me and glanced up, not really caring what it was but bothering to look anyway. One of the wooden beams was slowly starting to bend inwards on itself as the fire was ate away at it. I guessed it would probally land on me and Sunako, maybe killing me and her on impact, slightly quicker than waiting for mine and her body to turn to ashes and disintegrate. I didn't keep my hopes up though.
Apparently luck smiled on me though for the second time since this horror started. The beam collapsed in on itself quickly, hundreds of splinters and shards falling as the center of the wooden support broke. One of the larger chunks managed to hit me in the arm, making me wince slightly. But before I could look back up to the beam I was knocked out cold by the burning wood. I suddenly saw nothing, blackness being part of that nothing. And I slipped.

Luna stood on her balcony, watching over the night as per usual, gazing at her masterful patterns of stars tat painted the sky, each one brightening slightly as Luna glanced at them.
"Silver Pallet?" She called before a grey coated unicorn addorning a long tailcoat that went down to his flank briskly trotted in. "Yes your Highness?" He asked, glancing at her with half-lidded eyes, a sign of his tiredness. "May you bring us an iced lemonade with a spot of the Apple family's cider they sent Us last autumn?" She responded, still gazing at the beautiful night. "Of course your Highness." the stallion said, not missing a beat in his response before walking out of the room.
Luna heard chattering, fading in and out as the owner's of the voices walked around. The Princess of the Night looked towards the ground and quickly spotted to of her royal Night Guards making their patrols. "Goodnight Night Blade! Goodnight Silver Spear!" she called to the guards. "Goodnight your Highness!" they called back, briefly waving to Luna before continuing their patrols. "Good choice of guards." she mumbled to herself before turning her gaze to the Royal Gardens.
She gazed across the gardens, gently smiling at their beauty, somepony's trotting suddenly disturbed her gaze and she turned around to find Silver Pallet returning, an elegantly crafted glass held in front of him with a white aura of telekinesis. "Your drink, your Highness." he said, yawning slightly afterwards. "Thank you Silver Pallet, I will reward you for the wonderful work you have done this night. How about you go to bed early?" She said, a gentle smile on her muzzle. "I couldn't your Highness!" he protested before Luna interjected. "Off with you now Silver Pallet, otherwise i'll throw you in the dungeons for not listening to my orders." She said smiling happily. The butler's face suddenly showed alot more shock before and her quickly turned and trotted to the door, an urgency in his step.
Luna smiled oblivious to the stallion's action and turned back to her view of Equestria, floating the fresh beverage over to her with her own magic. She took a sip, smiling at the taste of the beverage before closing her eyes and wrinkling her snout as the strong alcohol after taste hit her taste buds.
She stood there sipping on her beverage with a newly recruited straw, watching as her night passed.

I woke with a start, quickly looking across the blackness that was my location.I wonder if this is what death feels like? Well maybe different for a hell-bound creature like me. But the landscape was missing the large amount of molten magma and hell-ish things. Suddenly I started to feel, well feeling come back to me. My apparently numb body regaining its senses. This most definitely wasn't a dream. It was lacking all of the despair and sadness that usually filled them, sometimes mixing with dredged-up memories of some of the horrors I had committed in the past. It was... different to say the least. I wasn't sure whether to be scared, happy or confused. I definitely felt like something was different. I felt like I was still alive, not asleep, not dead like I had hoped, but alive in my own monstrous way.
Suddenly I felt something, a weird tingling, starting at my toes and quickly making its way up my legs, before moving to my torso and arms, then to my head. Also my vision seemed to return. First it was black and white, then it was dim and then it returned to seeing everything perfectly. I seemed to be surrounded by plant-life, various trees, flowers and other variants of shrubbery surrounding me.
Suddenly light started to approach me, maybe it was more of Sotoba's villagers, coming back to look for any more traces of my race! I, on instinct ducked down behind a bush that I was apparently sat against, trying my best to not make any sounds. Voices approached, but something was weird about them though, they seemed... happy? Content even. Surely the villagers of Sotoba didn't have anything more to be happy about, well maybe that doctor, Ozaki that Tatsuki had told me about, 'A real oddity' he had said.
I merged back with reality after my quick debate with myself, clamping my hands across my mouth as I noticed my mistake.
"Did you hear that Night'?" one voice said. "I did actually, Silver." the one apparently called 'Night' said. "What do you think it is?" Silver replied. "I don't know, to be honest, maybe a Diamond Dog?" Night said.
What in the world is a Diamond Dog? Hmm. I thought.
"There it is again!" Silver's voice spoke. "I think we should investigate!" he said. "Well come on then, they might of gotten away!" Night said, followed by a muffled clip-clopping noise that was making its way towards a corner that rounded to the spot Sunako was sat.
I proceeded to try and shrink myself out of existence, even if it was and probably still is impossible. Never the less I tried my hardest to. The sounds of their pursuit as I heard them round a corner stopped.
"Look! Their it is!" the person that probally was Silver said. "What is it?" Night' said. "I don't know. Whatever it is, I think its something we weren't taught, unless I slept through that part of guard education as well." Silver said.
By this point I was whimpering, tearing up at the side of my obsidian coloured sphere's I called eyes. Not even giggling at the guard's comment... wait guards? I hazarded a glance at the direction of the voices, seeing something rather weird yet... no still weird. I thought I saw two horse type creatures, with comical features and short forms. Probally my vision acting up as my, mind that belonged to me at thirteen flooded my view of reality with thoughts as I worried more and more.
"Silver! I think that... thing just looked at us!" Night said, his voice shaky. "What do you think it's gonna do?" Silver said. "Tartarus for me if I know." Night replied back.
Tar-ta-rus. I thought. Suddenly I heard wind-rushing above me before I heard a quiet thump. I looked up again to see another horse-type thing standing infront of the other, apparent guards. This one stood taller and seemed to refer more to the size of a horse and less of a short stubby thing on fat legs.
"Princess!" the two guards said. "What in Tartarus are you doing?" a new voice said, sounding more female than the other two.
Why is this happening to me! Why can't I be dead like most normal Shiki?
"Princess, we were doing are patrols when we heard a voice, then we found this thing." Night said. "What should we do your Highness?" Silver finished.
I heard a few muffled footsteps... no... hoofsteps I guess? Before I felt someones... correction... somehorse's gaze fall onto me. I felt a nudge to my arm, the princess horse trying to lift it up. I just forced my arm back down and let out a few more whimpers before going into a entire one of my intimidated crying fits I was famous for, letting a few large tears drop to the ground.
"Hush little filly, its alright." the female voice of the suspected princess said.
Filly?... Oh. Girl horse... well... I am stuck on what to do here... I don't think trying to create an entire vampire safe-haven out of this place would go to well really. Sunako pondered.Oh well, I might as well just go with the flow. It's not really possible for me to escape... and maybe this is the Devil's kind of greeting to hell.
"There, there little filly... it's alright... Luna won't let the guards get you." Luna cooed. "Look it's raising its head!" Silver said.
At that comment I ducked my head back down, afraid that the guards might be pointing a projectile my way and hoping to get a good hit on my face, which is apparently 'beautiful' as Chiziru had said. I heard the princess give a few more calming statements and sounds before lifting my head up again. I started slightly when I registered that I was face to face with the princess who was showing a gentle smile on her snout.
"Now, what's your name little one?" Luna asked calmly. "S-Sunako.." I whimpered. "That's a beautiful name Sunako." she said before she turned her head back towards the guards. "Silver Spear, Night Blade. You may leave us now." She said. The guards tried to protest but Luna wouldn't have any of it, giving them and encouraging and successful 'Shoo' to make them leave before she turned back to me.
"How about I take you to my chambers? So we can talk more privately?" Luna said.
Well... she's most definitely forward, kind of like a badly written character in those stories that Tatsuki would occasionally bring back, especially those ones from that queer boy's house, the author also had a terrible penname... T-Teh-mus-stached-bisc-it was it. I really didn't like those stories. I only gave them a glance before throwing them in the bin. The only one which slightly entertained me was that one called... I can't remeber it but it had the word 'belle' in it.
"Well little one, jump onto my back." Luna said.
I didn't agree! Oh. I hate my subconscious activities, making me nod my head when I'm scared. Oh well. I jumped on her back, trying my best to not dig my feet in to her sides. Before long and after a bit of struggle I was onto her back. I wonder why she hasn't started walking, she's just in a pouncing position. Why would sh... Oh. Wings! A pegasus! Aren't those mythical things from Greek times? Well, didn't think my mi....
"Aaaahhhhh!" Sunako screamed as Luna lifted into the air. The mentioned princess laughed a bit before smoothing her flight pattern out to a slower and more comfortable travel to her chambers. "Sorry little one!" Luna called back to the Shiki clinging to her neck.
Never would I have thought that flight would go into the category of very scary things. Its a lot more scary than what I thought. I will survive if I hold onto this horse's neck though. I think she just said something, but I missed it and don't care anyway. It was probably just a pointless apology. We made quick time to the Princess's destination which turned out to be a tower that rose higher than the rest of the apparent castle's towers, the Princess landing softly on the balcony of said tower.

When I and Sunako arrived on the balcony of my chambers it took a considerable amount of force to get the little filly. (Well I think it's a filly.) Off of my back, me having to walk in wiggle my neck out of her grasp, causing her to fall unceremoniously into the floor.
"Oh dear! I'm sorry little one! Are you alright?" Luna asked. "I'm fine I think." Sunako replied.
That voice could of melted my heart right there and then, so innocent and cute. I honestly felt sorry for her. I offered her a seat on one of my 'Royal sitting furnishings.' Sunako kindly obliging.
"Is their anything you want Sunako?" Luna asked. "Could I have some tea please?" Sunako said innocently. "Of course." Luna replied without hesitation.
I pulled a cord for my royal maids, remembering that I had sent Silver Pallet home. The response time of the castle staff still amazes me. I should really ask Celly if we can start awarding badges to the servants.
"Yes Princess Luna?" The maid asked, paying no heed to anything else but her patron. "Could you bring Us to cups of tea please?" Luna asked. "Of course your Highness." The maid said before hurrying out of the room.
"Now Suna--" Luna was abruptly interrupted by the maid walking back in with a tea tray balanced on her back. "Here is the tea, your Highness." The maid said before buckling her knees and making the tea tray slide onto the coffee table. "Thank you." Luna said, the maid quickly hurrying out, not noticing Sunako who sat across the room.
I levitated a cup over to Sunako, the filly amazed by the floating teacup. Maybe she hasn't seen magic before?
"H-how?" Sunako said as she caught the teacup in her hands. "Magic?" Luna stated. "Magic?" Sunako replied. "You mean to tell me, you have never seen or heard of Magic?" Luna said, astounded at what she was hearing. "N-no?" Sunako replied still looking amazedly at the cup nestled in her hands.
I asked Sunako more on the subject, each time getting a bewildered question or a no in return. So I decided I would explain it to her. It took alot longer than I thought but Sunako eventually grasped it.
"Sunako?" Luna asked, unsure if she was asking the right question. "Yes Princess?" Sunako replied. "Could you tell me a little about yourself?" Luna continued. "I guess." Sunako said, her tone uneasy. "Thank you." Luna replied before looking down to her own cup and taking a long sip.
"So, where do y--" Luna noticed that Sunako had fallen asleep, the sun rising over the horizon. Luna smiled, taking the Shiki in her telekinesis and placing her on her bed.
And don't forget! Give me ALL the feedback!
