Please note, I don't have full time editor. I try my best but, I have a hard time with grammar. Regardless I hope you enjoy the read. I also love comments and feedback. Please send them if you have the time.
This will be very action heavy story with alot of anime style fight scenes and drama. There will be a story but, I like my campy over the top fun from time to time.
Prologue: The Demon that Fell from The Sky.
This was a different time and place. The ponies were the same but, also different. In this world, ponies were more like humans. They were mixture of the two races. A different course of evolution. Yet, even with this change the faces stated the same. Ponies still had cutie marks, horse like ears, manes and tails. However, their hooves were replaced with humanoid like hands and feet. They walked on two legs just as human did.
They dressed like Humans as well. This was the world of Equestria it had been saved many a time by six mares gifted the power of harmony. They had faced down many villains and always came out on top. No matter how powerful the foe they would always overcome them with the power of harmony but, this time. An invader would come from the stars seeking to only destroy one thing. The Ruler of this Land. Their Goddess that they praised with love.
The story begins, on a late summer evening in the small town of Ponyville. All the ponies of this small town had gather in front of the Princess’s castle which was at center of the town. The Princess of Friendship known as Twilight Sparkle. The Leader of those who had brought harmony to the world. The ponies had gather for a special night. A rare meteor shower that happened only once every hundred years.
The purple furred mare walked slowly towards the castle door her digits wrapped around the handle of the door slowly opening it. The cooling breeze brushed through the feathers of her wings that were gently folded against her back as she walked forward. She was an average height of an adult mare nothing to special other than she was Alicorn. The purple horn coming out of her forehead was proof enough of that. Yet the horn was somewhat hidden by the purple and red mane that hung down to her shoulders. It curved upward towards her neck at the bottom. She was dressed in simply orange v-top with a pair of purple slacks.
What greeted her as she opened the door was a crowd of ponies all settled under a beautiful starlit sky. The full moon hanging over all of them. Blankets were laid upon the ground, as some groups of ponies had set up telescopes and others were just lay on their blankets ready for when the shower would begin. She let out a deep content sigh as she stretched her arms out, cracking her fingers as she did so. Her wings flaring out to each side as she did this.
Twilight’s violet colored eyes scanned the crowd, spotting each of her five close friends each doing their part to help with the gathering. Pinkie was selling baked goods, Rarity and Fluttershy were handing out blankets to those who didn’t have one. Rainbow Dash was in the sky, making sure clouds didn’t enter the air space above the gathering. Applejack was helping set up telescopes but, as Twilight walked out she walked towards her.
Applejack was an orange furred mare with yellow mane that was tied neatly at the end. A brown cowboy hat dawn her dome. Her bright green eyes had a warm look to them as she came up the Alicorn with small wave. She was dressed in small button up flannel shirt that was tied at the bottom that exposed a bit of her stomach. She was wearing a half-cut white shirt under the flannel. She was in a pair of worn out looking blue jeans.
“Howdy, Twilight. We got everything set up for ya. We even got a little area set up just for us when everything kicks off.” She stated happily.
“Thank you so much, Applejack for all your hard work. I know this was a lot to do for every pony.” She replied.
“Ain’t no trouble at all. Now where is Starlight? She gonna miss all the fun.” Applejack questioned.
“She still inside finishing up a few notes on something we were working on together.” She said.
“Ooo do you mean that funny piece of metal you guys found a while back.” Applejack replied.
“Yes! It has fascinating resistance to number of things. We have never seen anything like it.” She said excitedly wagging her tail behind her. Her eyes sparkling a bit as she spoke about it.
Applejack just sighed and rolled her eyes a bit. “Well that is all good and such but, this is a once in lifetime kind of thing. Y’all about to miss it over a funny piece of metal.” She replied.
Twilight rubbed the back of her head with a chuckle. “I know. She will be out in a minute I am sure. Where is Apple Bloom?” She asked.
“Her, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo are all on that ridge over there.” She pointed with her thumb over to the small hill to the right of the castle just a bit outside of town.
“Are you sure they will be ok by themselves up there?” She said, a bit of worry holding her tone.
Applejack waved her down. “Don’t worry Rainbow Dash is keep the sky clear and keeping a lookout. Just come on. Let’s enjoy ourselves.” She said happily.
Twilight nodded as Applejack turned and started walking towards an empty blanket towards the center of the crowd. Her friends were starting to slowly gather there. As she walked she couldn’t shake this feeling of dread that had been coming over her today. She didn’t know what it was. It felt like a huge weight was coming down on her and as the night grew on it felt like that weight….was getting closer.
Meanwhile on top of the ridge. The three foals were crowded around a single telescope. Apple Bloom, the yellow furred foal was currently looking in the device. Her red eyes scanning the sky for the first meteor. Her red mane was being swayed by the wind as was the large red bow tied into it. She was wearing a green short sleeved top with a pair of wore blue jeans just like her sister only her were folded up to her knees.
“See anything yet?” The orange furred mare known as Scootaloo asked excitedly. She had more of spiked up mane that was short then her friends. It was a soft pink color, her eyes were violet as well. She was dress in small black hoodie with green cargo shorts.
Apple Bloom let out a sigh spinning the telescope around scanning the sky seeing nothing. “Not a thing.” She said sadly.
“Well Twilight did say it won’t stop until about ten. We still have a few minutes.” The white furred mare named Sweetie Belle spoke up. Her green eyes looking at Scootaloo. Her curly hair blowing in the wind as well. It was a few shades of light and dark purples. She was dressed the most feminine out of the three. She had on yellow skirt with a red over coat on, under the coat was small white and purple striped shirt.
Apple Bloom kept scanning the skies back and forth when she finally spotted it. “IT’S STARTING.” She said happily as she watched as streaks of lights began to fill the sky. The other two ponies beside her began to gasp as they watched the clear blue sky fill with streaks of burning yellow
That is when Apple Bloom spotted it. She pulled back from the telescope. “Umm is that one getting closer?” She asked.
Sweetie Belle lean in looking through the telescope trying to see what Apple Bloom had seen. “GUYS LOOK.” Scootaloo shouted pointing upwards. Both foals snapped their attention skyward. All of them saw it a bright streak coming closer flying over head of them they all watch it turn into a streak of smoke as it impacted the ground with a heavy thud just a few yards behind the ridge.
“LET’S GO CHECK IT OUT.” Scootaloo said excited already going full gear towards the meteor that had fallen close by.
“Wait shouldn’t we tell some pony. It could be dangerous.” Sweetie Belle said looking back at the crowd of ponies none of them seem to have seen the meteor flying overhead. They were focused on lights in front of them. Even Rainbow Dash was pushing away some heavy clouds that were trying to cover the sky, well also trying to see some of the lights herself.
“Ooo come on. You two scared?” Scootaloo challenged as she walked down the ridge towards the fallen star.
“I ain’t no chicken.” Apple Bloom answered walking with Scootaloo.
Sweet Belle let out sigh looking back at the crowd before turning her head back to her friends as she jogged behind them catching up with them. The three foals calmly walked towards the smoke the fallen objected had made. It began to clear as they came upon the large crater it had made in the earth. The smoke still giving off heat as they stood at the edge.
“What…what is it?” Apple Bloom asked as the smoke cleared finally.
In the earth now was a large brass colored tube with a point at the end of it. It was halfway into the ground. On the side of the tube was a large hatch that was suddenly kicked opened the metal door dented outward as it flew out from the impact.
A towering figure of both height and size stepped out from the tube landing on the cooling earth. He was larger than any stallion they seen before. This being’s body was covered by large brown coat that only exposed the upper half of his head. Spiky white hair blew in the wind, as pupiless glowing white eyes scanned the area around him. Strange carved red lines were running down the sides of his face. His white eyebrows furrowed on his face as he looked around. He looked upwards at the three foals currently staring down at him.
Fear overtook the three. They couldn’t move or form words. His white orbs locked on to them finally. He vanished into thin air for just a split second. He would then reappear in front of them inches from Apple Bloom who was in center of the pack. She fell back onto the ground out of fear, this being shadow looming over her.
“Where is your god?” His rough voice echoed out to all of them, asking his question.
