The Mango Heist of MangoTown
It's a cold winter night, tonight. You, being the quiet and antisocial bat mare you are, decided to stay indoors and sleep all day every day. Occasionally getting up for a mango'y snack here and there, or making yourself a mango smoothie to just chill on the couch with. But unfortunately, your food supply was running low, and you needed to restock soon. So, you pulled yourself out of bed with a sigh and said aloud, "Stupid mangoes not lasting long enough...
Why can't I just have a bag of infinite mangoes..?" You slumped out of your room and down the hall to the living room, stopping in the kitchen for a quick snack before you went out to the market. "How many do we got left?" You asked yourself, looking over into the fruit basket. Two mangoes. Two mangoes remained. You grabbed one with a leathery wing and pulled it up to your snoot, inhaling the fruity scent before taking a big bite out of it. "Not quite ripe enough... Oh well." You stood there in the kitchen for maybe a solid 30 seconds taking chunks out of the fruit hungrily. After you managed to make the whole thing disappear within less then 40 seconds, you eyed the last mango with hunger. But. You couldn't eat it. You had to make sure you could get out and buy more before you ate up the last one. So, you turned around, trotted out of the kitchen, and to the front door. Next to the door was a coat hanger with some winter clothes. You had a nice fluffed parka, a long warm scarf, and a cute little toque. Putting on the cozy clothing, you pulled open the front door, and began on your journey to the market.
The journey wasn't that long. It was literally 60 seconds away. The town was one small circle with mango stands in the center. There was about 20 houses that made up the town, but each had two floors. Each acting as an apartment. As for the mango stands? There was only five, but they were normally stocked. However, something was off. Only one stand was open... And only a few bucket fulls of mangoes were left... This wasn't good news. You trotted up to the bat running the stand to investigate. "Uh, hey... Where'd all the food go? Last time I was out here all of the stands were stocked."
"Yeah, sorry about that Ms. Shadow." The batpony stallion said, "Somepony came by and stole almost everything when I and the guys were on break. What we've got left is 10 bits a piece until we catch the thief. All we know is that the suspect is a mare. Because all us guys were at the 'Ripe Mango' pub." He said.
"Wha... What?! Who would do that?! We still have a few weeks to go of winter! I've only got one mango left and it won't last me a day!" You exclaimed. Whoever did this deserved the 'Well of Loneliness'... Its literally just a deep hole you're put in with a hoof full on mangoes, and you're trapped in there alone for a few days.
"Like I said, I'm sorry. Buuuut..." He leaned in towards you and whispered, "If you find the one who did it, you'll get the three buckets of mangoes I've got here. That'll last you, right?"
You perked up at the news, and simply said, "You had me at mangoes! Give me 24 hours. I'll have something for you by then!"
"Go get 'em girl!" He cheered.
You turned your toque into a balaclava, and turned your parka inside out. Instead of having some bright colored clothes, you had some sneaky ninja clothes! You liked to lurk around in the shadows so you had your winter wear custom made to turn into sneaky stuff whenever you needed it to. "Operation Mango Mare is a go!" You exclaimed.
Sneaking around the rooftops and hiding behind trees, you observed a mare through her window to try and get some sort of lead. After a couple minutes of spying, you figured she was clear, and not the culprit. You moved onto the next house. The only mare inside was on the second floor, so you hung off a tree branch in the dark to blend in. Aside from your vision being all upside down, you couldn't pick out anything suspicious about her. So, once again, you moved onto the next home that a mare resided in. Again, nothing out of the ordinary. This was the case for every other house in town beside one. You thought you were onto something, but it was just a mare and a stallion having a little less then PG roleplay session... Where the stallion was a giant mango... The image was burned into your mind, but you were oddly into the whole 'big living mango' thing... Anyways, you eventually decided to turn in for the night. Besides you had 24 hours to catch the wrongdoer.
As soon as you got back to your house, you noticed something strange... The neighbor up above left their door open. And there was a trail of mango cores... The gal upstairs was a weird one, who has also you nemesis. You assumed she was just enjoying a late night walk munching on mangoes, but forgot to close her door when she got home. So, you decided to be a nice neighbor and trotted up to it and was about to close the door, but a very strong smell attacked your senses. It smelt like a million mangoes were inside her apartment. It must've been her! You were quick to fly up to a window and peak in. And sure enough, there was the mare. Munching on a big, juicy mango with a giant pile of them behind her.
"Aha! I caught ya! Now... I just need to get in and take the suspect down... But how..." You spoke to yourself. Then something hit you! Not literally. Mentally. A few of the mares in town had a weak spot. A weak spot, that if attacked, will immobilize the victim for a short while. That spot was the snoot. And the thing to attack it was a boop.
"Huhm... If the snoot is booped, then the mare won't notice Special Agent Shadow Bat... But to boop the snoot, I have to get close enough to apply the boop. But how do I get to the snoot without my own snoot getting booped in self snoot boopin' defense?" You thought long and hard on how to execute the new main operation. Operation Snoot Boop or Doom. Then it hit you again! And again, not literally. "I know! When the evil villain Mango Stealer leaves her evil lair living room, I can sneak in and set a trap! Agent S.A.S.B. will defeat you, evil miscreant!" You exclaimed, shaking your hoof dramatically.
Only minutes later, your new Op was a go. You snuck in through the tiny attic window and pulled out a pair of NV goggles.(Yes, this villain has an attic) Luckily, the breaker panel was in the attic, so you tip toed over to it and pulled a crudely constructed device out of nowhere. You inspected the panel for a moment, before shrugging and just jamming the device into it. With a spark and a crack, all power in the villain lair went out, and a faint "EEE?!" could be heard below. Hearing frantic hoof steps leading to the attic door, you hid in a corner, curling yourself up in a ball. You could hear the creak of a hatch open, and a bat pony popped up into the attic. This was your chance to slip out and set that trap. You swooped past and out of the attic, crawling across the ceiling stealthily. Once you reached the living room, you tied your scarf onto the ceiling some how, then onto yourself. You then slowly lowered yourself down on it like a secret agent, and couldn't help but make some cool sounds! "Dun dun duuuun! Dun dun duuuun! Dun dun!" When you reached the mango pile, you carefully crawled beneath the pile, yanking your ninja scarf to pull it down to hide the evidence.
Eventually, the lights flickered back on. hoof steps could be heard climbing down the attic ladder, followed by the hatch closing behind it. And hoof steps were heard. The hoof steps of the criminal behind the mango heist. As the hoof steps got closer and closer, you were preparing to pounce. You'd jump out of the pile and boop that sucker right on the snoot like they've never been booped before! That'd give you time to arrest them and report them to the Mangotown Mayor!
As you could hear the mare pick up a mango and take a chomp out of it, you took your chance. You bursted out of the pile, causing the mare to screech in surprise. You lunged forwards, hoof pointing straight forward. It was like time slowed as the last few inches between the batpone snoot and you hoof closed in. And as soon as it all happened, it ended. Your hoof was firmly pressed against the mares snoot, to which she went as stiff as a statue and fell to her side. "Woo! Victorious!" You couldn't help but break out into a little victory dance. You were gonna get your mango'y reward! However, you were to caught up in the moment to notice the mare rise to her hooves. She grabbed you, stopping your little dance and tapped your snoot with her hoof. "Boop" she said, before everything faded to white. But only for a second. You awoke to find yourself tied to a chair in hoofcuffs. Fluffy ones. Kinky. A light suddenly lit up, and shined brightly into your eyes, and the villainous mare trotted in front of it. "Special Agent Shadow Bat... We meet again. Trying to put a stop to my plans, hm?"
"How could you resist the boopage of thou Snoot? Nopony has ever managed that!" You exclaimed, attempting to wiggle free of the cuffs.
"I've been building a resistance, Agent. But it looks like you can't even handle it!"
You scrunched up your nose at the embarrassing truth. "Why? Why did you rob the town of the food?"
"Well, you see, I, Misty Hollows, wanted to..." The mare paused. "I don't actually know why I wanted to."
"What do you want for all the mangoes? I'll do anything as long as the town gets what they need!" You said, again attempting to break loose.
"Well... There is one thing I'd like in return for them." Misty said, smiling deviously before laughing like a true evil villain.
"What are you planning? Should I be afraid?" You asked, a little shaken up.
"All I request is..." She added a dramatic pause. "The best..." She paused again. "Of the best..." She paused.... Again. "Of THE BEST" You know the drill... "...Cuddles you can offer!" She said smiling widely.
"Nooooo! My only weakness! But if it'll free your hold on the mangoes, I'll do it!" You shouted out.
"Yay!" Misty cheered, leaping forward at you, wrapping you in a cozy hug, cuddling you.

This was a little something I made because my friend wanted a mango related story. I didn't think I'd be able to manage it, but here it is! This is also my first real attempt at some comedy, and feedback would be fantabulous! This is also also my first attempt at a second person story, so let me know if I did good or not.
