Spike looked around his cave, it had been a week since he had moved out of the castle and into the Dragon lands, due to outgrowing his old home, Ember had helped set him up with a cave with a good view, he'd even gotten a few presents from his friends and family, mostly gems and some large furniture, tho the Cakes had really shown threw, having sent him a huge loaf of bread, perfect for Gem sandwiches.
Spike was setting up most of these gifts on his large table along with two full glassed of Lave, Ember was coming over for lunch, mostly to make sure he was doing well in his new home, and he was pretty sure she hadn't tasted bread in a large enough quantity to truly appreciated it. After checking that the spread looked good, placing a small note on the table, and lighting his Fireplace Spike set to work dusting. Holding a dusting in his tail and in one of his hands, as he set about making sure things looked nice he made a mental note to send the Cakes his thanks and maybe order some of the Giant Bread from them, as he thought about what to say in the letter he began dusting beneath the table and accidentally bumped it, sending a shiny blue gem towards the ground, on instinct Spike's tongue shot out and grabbed it before it could make contact with the floor of his cave and he pulled into his mouth, eating it with little to no thought about it as he did so, Spike made his way to the cave entrance when he noticed something was off, the entrance to his cave was bigger than he remembered it, and it was getting bigger by the second.
"what the fuck?" Spike said as he rushed to it, confused for a moment before realizing that everything was getting bigger by the second, Spike rushed to the cave entrance, hoping to call for assistance from any nearby neighbors, by the time he reached the cave entrance he was met with a problem, that problem being that he was the size of an ant. "I don't know what's happening but I blame Twilight," he looked around and imediatly noticed Ember, sitting silently next to his cave entrance. pacing in place as tho she was amping herself up,
"It's not a date, it's just lunch together, just as friends, nothing romantic, just a friendly lunch, not a date, don't say something stupid," Spike flew up, more preoccupied with being tiny that with Ember's pre not a date pep-talk to herself.
"Ember!" He called, Ember didn't make any movements that suggested she heard him, and seeing how she was a good thirty feet tall vs him being ant sizes he couldn't blame her as she took a deep breath and nervously fluttered her wings, sending Spike spiraling to the ground, Spike lay on the ground in silence, "Ow," he said when Ember's foot hit the ground as she made her way into the cave, Spike resing between the small space between her toes. "Sweet luna!" he said in shock as she made her way inside, Spike began shouting at her again, trying to fly but failing to get very high due to how much the impact of landing had hurt his back. Ember made her way into the Living room and looked around in silence for a moment before breathing a sigh of relief.
"Thank goodness, I'm not ready to face him," Ember looked at Spike's Green fire in the fireplace, meanwhile Spike was making the difficult climb of his own couch, Ember took a breath and softly blew her own red-pink fire into the fireplace. she watched her and Spike's fire swirl for a short while, Spike managed to make it to the top of the couch just in time for Ember to sit down, Spike leaped out of the way as she sat and was knocked into the air by the deforming cushion Spike flew like a tiny rocket and closed his eyes, fearing the damage this could do, he hit hard, but not to painful all things considers Spike looked around and found himself in the bowl of gems
"Thank you, you delicious beauties," He said with a sigh as Ember picked up the small note Spike had left on the table,
"Dear Ember, in the off chance that you arrive and I've left to go get something that I forgot feel free to partake of the bread and gems, it's a rather good sandwich if you ask me."
Spike began moving to the top of the highest gem, hoping beyond hope she would see him as she used her claws to cut the loaf into a few slices, she put one of the pieces down and reached for the gem bowl. "Oh shit," Spike managed to say before she took a handful of the large gems with Spike included, Spike lay atop the gems as she dropped them down, he had no time to move as she placed the 2nd slice of break over him, Spike felt the sandwich moving and he waited in silence, when a crunching sound behind him informed him he had been apart of the bite. She began chewing and Spike latched onto her tongue for deer life, only just avoiding being swallowed. he took a deep breath and sighed
"Thank you Celestia," he prepared himself for the next bite as Ember opened her mouth and was met with the sight of Ember about to chug one of the Lava cups, Spike squinted at it, "Fuck you Celestia," He decided as Ember chugged, the lava wetting his claws and ending him sliding down her throat, Spike had a few seconds to thank a well-known fact among dragons that things like this happened all the time with large and small dragons and he would survive, but the events whould still suck ass. Ember drained her glass and turned back to her sandwich.
"I wonder where Spike is," she said to herself before taking another
