Round and Bouncy Side Effects

Pony Trixie had turned herself into a ball after reflecting on doing the same to Spike, Twilight, and Starlight at certain points. Getting in touch with her fast rolling abilities and bounciness, Trixie fell in love with her ball form, but unfurled before she could get stuck in it forever. Little did she know, experimenting with the form had a side effect elsewhere...

One day in the human world, Human Trixie performed one of her live magic shows. Suddenly, as a result of her pony counterpart turning into a ball willingly, Human Trixie saw in her head an image of a blue ball painted like her: Her eyes on the front, her cutie mark on the lower back, and two white mane-like stripes wrapping around the ball to form an X shape. "That's odd. A ball that looks like me?" Then a magic aura out of nowhere engulfed her and floated her up. "Wait...What is happening to The Great And Powerful Trixie? This isn't part of the act!" She uncontrollably began to turn into a ball herself. No, she didn't just curl up into a fetal position. The magic began to mold her into a perfect sphere, with her arms and legs melting into it and all her clothes falling off. When the molding came to an end, Human Trixie was a blue ball with her face on the front, her hair on top, and her hair star still intact. After the magic aura dispersed, Human Trixie started to bounce up and down uncontrollably. "Somebody help, please! The Great And Powerful Trixie didn't mean to do this...Can't...move...right..."

Sunset Shimmer emerged from the audience to help Human Trixie out. "Trixie! This same thing must have happened to your pony counterpart!" Sunset grabbed Trixie to stop her involuntary bouncing, then began to push her along the ground until both of them went through the mirror portal leading to Equestria. While Sunset returned to her original unicorn form upon entry, Human Trixie was unaffected due to her ball form and rolled right into Pony Trixie, who stopped her with a single hoof. "Astonishing! Who knew the secret to keeping your original form while going through the mirror portal was to go in as a ball?" Sunset then used her newly-regained magic to close the portal.

Pony Trixie instantly recognized her human counterpart's ball form. "You look familiar", quipped Pony Trixie. "Like another Round And Bouncy Trixie."

Human Trixie replied, "I'm you from another world. Usually, I'm a bipedal magician, but I suddenly became a ball. Without my limbs, I can't do anything! Please change me back!"

Pony Trixie replied, "Sure, but this is a Great And Powerful form. You'll love it once you get used to it. So time to learn how to get around in your new form." She then curled up and turned into a ball herself.

Human Trixie recognized Pony Trixie's ball form. "I must have transformed at the same time as you, since we're both Trixie."

"Interesting...Now please, let's roll around." Pony Trixie began rolling herself around. Human Trixie wobbled for a while before doing the same.

"The Round And Bouncy Trixie is on a roll!" As Human Trixie got used to rolling herself, it felt fully natural for her. She also managed to cover more ground than even running, just like her Equestrian self. Even more so when Pony Trixie became an oval, revved up, and charged at her while fully spherical, causing both of them to bounce off the walls and each other repeatedly. Human Trixie was surprised to not feel any pain from the resulting impacts. At this point, she realized her skin and bones were now rubbery from her transformation.

Meanwhile, Sunset Shimmer instinctively ducked and created a magical force field that both Trixies also bounced off of. "Sweet! I can do this again", remarked Sunset. She then had to use her telekinesis to stop Human Trixie from rolling, while Pony Trixie used her own to stop herself. Sunset then told Pony Trixie, "This other Trixie is human and doesn't have Equestrian magic, which probably allows you to control your ball form's speed, levitate stuff, and of course reactivate your limbs and unfurl back into pony form."

Pony Trixie replied, "That's too bad." Then Sunset began to bounce Human Trixie around with her own magic. "But let's keep her in ball form for a while. She's fun to play with while spherical." Sunset then quickly dragged a basketball hoop in with her magic and threw Human Trixie in the hoop. Pony Trixie then jumped through the hoop herself and began bouncing alongside her human counterpart.

Human Trixie asked, "Let me guess: Pony me can move while bouncing?"

Pony Trixie answered, "Eeyup." Then both Trixie began to do the same together.

Sunset added, "Now let me try being a ball myself" before jumping and rolling into an orange ball with her magic aura surrounding her and her tail sticking out. While she was in her own ball form, her tail would always point in the opposite direction she moved. She kept the form even after landing, then proceeded to roll around. Pony Trixie pointed out how different Sunset's ball form was different from hers. Sunset, still in her own ball form, replied, "I saw this in a popular...piece of popular culture back in the human world. And speaking of the human world, let's all go through the portal to it while in ball form to test a form-keeping theory I just got!" Magically reopening the portal, she then revved up as an oval shape, then charged through the portal while spherical. Both Trixies followed her by rolling through the portal normally. When Sunset and the two Trixies made it into the human world, their ball forms prevented all of them from being transformed. The three landed in the same spot Human Trixie had been performing in earlier. Sunset and Pony Trixie then unfurled and got to their hooves. "It worked! Pony Trixie and I are still ponies!" However, Human Trixie had no idea how to return to her normal form.

"Oh yeah", remarked Pony Trixie. "I almost forgot to change the other me back." She then cast a spell to reactivate Human Trixie's limbs, allowing her to willingly unfurl as well. Sunset then floated Human Trixie's outfit back onto her. As Human Trixie returned to her human form, she gradually slipped back into her clothes.

Then she petted Pony Trixie. "You're right. That was a fun form."

The crowds were amazed to not only see Sunset as a unicorn pony, but also their Human Trixie with her pony counterpart. Sunset explained that she was a unicorn back at home, but that the portal to the human world would humanize her unless she went in as a ball. Pony Trixie also added that she lived in the same world as Sunset and was a mirror to Pony Trixie.

"Got to go home now", said Pony Trixie. Turning back into a ball, she rolled back through the portal, returning to Equestria without becoming human there. This time, Human Trixie did not spontaneously become a ball. Thanks to Pony Trixie's spell, Human Trixie could independently curl up into her ball form, control it, and unfurl whenever she wanted to, regaining her clothes immediately upon unfurling.

Meanwhile, Sunset was glad she finally found a way to keep her pony form and therefore her magic in the human world. Said form lasted forever and ever, with the added bonus of being able to turn into a ball.
