Chapters Prologue Life before Equestria
Author's Note
Author's Note: Well this is my first fanfic ever so please be understanding of any errors that are made just let me if there is anything that needs fixing. There much of a timeframe for when this will be updated. Between college and trying to get a job, I'm probably going to have like maybe 1 or 2 hours for typing up chapters. This chapter might be a bit short sorry if it isn't much to chew on. In other news, I'm new to my little pony friendship is magic. I have heard of it, but only know bits and pieces of the show, so I will most likely slip up for the whole pony terms like hooves or everypony. All I ask that you all correct me if that happens and understand that it was an accident I will try my best to get better at that. Well, I have said my piece go on then get to the story and enjoy, oh wait one more thing there might some shipping going on I haven't decided yet who will be shipped with who. Comment on who you would like to see shipped together, oh and give me some feedback on what works and what needs improving. Now go on get on to the story I have kept you here for too long.
Prologue Life before Equestria
The party
Normally, for Adrian's birthday party, it wouldn't be much just him, his mom, dad, and big sister would go out for lunch or something. Some of his cousins would come around to see him as well, but this year was different because he was partying with a few of his friends from college at a local bar.
Sure, most would say that it is dumb to go drinking with your friends from college or school, but Adrian trusted them. This was his first time drinking and he wasn't about to pass it up. His friends from college and highschool say that it is fun to drink as you can trust that the people you are drinking with won't just leave you at random place.
Growing up, Adrian would go to school and go home mainly to watch T.V. or play videogames. He never will hang out with his friends too much except for while in school. Highschool was a small change of pace for him since he started going to a few parties with his friends and enjoyed himself, but he still stuck to himself more of the time not because he wanted to, but because he is speech impaired and tends to either go so fast that other people don't understand him or he would talk at too low of volume for people to hear him.
Things with his family were going good even though his parents are living separately from each other they stayed together through his childhood. His big sister could be a pain in his side but what sliding isn't he won't try for any other.
For right now Adrian was ok with drinking some beer with his friends until he felt it was time to go back his apartment so he asked one of his friends that had ridden with him if they could drive him back his apartment, he wasn't sure if he could drive well enough after drinking at least 10 or so cans of beers. His friends said sure and they left the bar.
Back at Adrian's apartment
It was a good thing that his friend lived 1 block away from the apartment building that Adrian was staying at. After giving a drunken goodbye, Adrian went up to his apartment before he went in he noticed a small bow on the welcome mat. He picked it up and took it inside with him. The box turned out to be from his sister. The note on it said that she got while at BronyCon.
Adrian was happy that his sister got him a present, he would have to give her, his thanks to her the next them see each other. He opened the box to find a necklace it was made of gold with an onyx hanging form or at least that was what he could tell while in his drunken state. He just barely noticed that there another note. The other note said that his sister brought the necklace from a guy that looked like he was cosplaying Discord.
Adrian decided that he would call his sister in the morning and tell her, 'thank you'. He went to bed with the necklace not really thinking about why he was still holding the darn thing but oh well he was too tired to care right now. He fell asleep not noticing that the necklace was now glowing and that he would be in for a rude awakening tomorrow.

Chapter 1 The talk with Discord.
Within Adrian's Dream
Adrian opened his eyes to find that he was in a red and black room with a checkerboard pattern on the floor of the same color. There were no windows and the black chair he was sitting in was like a sofa just with only one seat and pretty comfortable, to his right was a small brown table with a chessboard on it. The chair across from him with empty, but he had a feeling that it would be filled soon enough.
Now he had this dream only when he was feeling really guilty about something and his subconscious wanted to have a one on one chat about it. The chair across from would be filled by his subconscious and it would look almost like him just with longer hair, 4 rows of shark like teeth, and red dragon like eyes. This was mainly to try and get Adrian to take action through fear. For now, he would have to wait for his subconscious to come and sat in his to start this chat.
After what felt like at least 2 or so hours of waiting around. The door to the room opened and out came his subconscious looking kind of tried yet actually a bit happy maybe this chat was going to be a good one for a change.
His subconscious sat down in his seat and moved one of the red pawns forward and smiled. "Before you ask if you're in trouble you are not in trouble." His subconscious or scar as he would like to call himself said.
Adrian sighed in relief. "So why am I here?" Adrian asked as he took a black pawn and move it forward.
"Well, I'm just to let you know that we might be getting a visitor tonight that you might know of from a cartoon show called my little pony: friendship is magic, but that is just a feeling that I'm getting right now." Scar said as he got up went to the door. "Wait here for that visitor you aren't waking up until then you do." He said before opening the door and leaving.
"Um ok." Adrian said. "Well, that made about next to no sense at all." he said.
"Make sense oh what fun is there in making sense." A voice said as the room was filled with the laughter of someone or thing that sounded very familiar. Then the laughter stopped and in bright white flash appeared a... wild Discord (had to do it sorry). "Why hello there human, I have an offer than I would like to give you." He said, his smile growing bigger.
Adrian looks at Discord completely happy to see his FAVORTIVE character no questions asked in all of my little pony. Yet He was also very confused as to why he was here. "Um, so Discord can I call you, Discord what is your offer?" Adrian said feeling like he shouldn't ask that but did so anyway.
Discord continued to smile." Oh well, it's about a wish I heard your sister talk about. " he said putting his paws and talon together. "A wish that you want to come true that I can make true." He continued.
Adrian was really worried but was also a bit interested. "I'm listening when I feel like I should not be doing so." He said knowing that he was about to regret this.
"Well let's just say that I can bring you to Equestria." Discord said. He knew that this would a tough sell but things went south which he actually hoping they would he always just bring him there by force., but he wanted to at least try the less violence route first.
Adrian's face lit up shock and confusion. Why would Discord ask for him to go to Equestria? "Before I make a decision can I ask why me?" Adrian asked.
Discord sighed, He knew that this wasn't going to be easy, but might as well keep going. "Well let's just say that I got some plans that can't work unless you come with me." He said. The bring him by force option was looking with good right now.
Adrian gave it some thought knowing Discord or at least what he knows of him from the show or fanfics, whatever these plans were they were all about causing chaos. "I think i would have decline that offer." He said before getting out of his seat.
Discord grinned. "I'm sorry this offer you can't deny." He said before snapping his talons and an arrow hit adrian in the heart.

Chapter 2 plans and mistakes.
Back at Equestria. Sometime before Adrian's death.
Discord was freed from his time encased in stone. He stretched and let out a yawn and sighed in satisfaction as his bones popped back into place. He smiled. "Well it's seems like it's time for some chaos." He said as a sly smile appeared on his face.
At ponyville
What would have been a normal day in ponyville was a day full of cotton candy clouds, chocolate milk rain, apples the size of princess Celestia, and animals with extra long legs. The problem was only half fix by a miss twilight sparkle.
Discord was laughing feeling pretty good about his little warm up and decided to left a clone of himself to lead the six mares and one dragon on a wild goose chase for the elements of harmony while also turning the mares into the opposite of the element that they represent, while he went to act on his other plans that would seemed crazy or really stupid, he thought of bringing a being from another world to mold into a heir to his throne. It would seemed flawed to others, but to him it was perfect. He then snapped his talons and was gone in flash.
After Adrian's death
Adrian groaned as he woke from getting an arrow to chest even through it was an dream. It felt like he have died for real. He looked around only to fund that it wasn't just a dream as he was now a orb of a soul stuck in the claws of discord.
"Well then this is some bullshit." He said to himself feeling like a complete idiot . He should have know that discord wouldn't just let him be. "Guess I can kiss my old life goodbye. " he said even though he wanted to believe that he would be able to get back home and just maybe be still alive, but it seemed like a pipe dream right now.
Well let's say that Discord was feeling pretty good about himself. His clone had done it's job and now his plans would come to pass without any trouble. At least that's what would be the case if it wasn't for the fact that twilight and her friends looking like they were back to their normal selves with the elements no less.
His plans for the human would have to wait or they would if the six mares weren't just now firing an rainbow beam at him. He try to throw the human soul in the way to try maybe block the beam long enough for him to make a get away only for it to go right though the soul and heading right for him. "Nooooooo!" He screamed as the beam turned him back to stone.
Back to Adrian
The rainbow beam or whatever it was hit like a truck or at least had if it hadn't gone for discord. "Ha eat it discord!" Adrian said as a smug grin appeared on his face. He would be okay with this it wasn't for the rainbow beam now coming for him, which was set all kind of alarms off for him. "Aw crap." He said before the rainbow came and blinded him.
???
"Ugh what is it with rainbows wanting to end me today?" Adrian asked to no one really. He tried to get up only to find that he could get up on one knee. He opened his eyes to see that he was in a field of stars within light blue skies.
"Ok am I in the afterlife or something?" Adrian asked kind hoping for an answer to come.
"Not yet young one." Said a sage like voice from behind.
Adrian turned around slowly shifting his knees carefully just in case his body was broken anywhere. He saw six almost horse like figures behind him. While something was in back of his mind was telling him that them were poines to be honest. What he did noticed was that two of them were unicorns, two were pegasus or it would be pegasi and the last two seemed like normal ponies. He couldn't tell anything else about them since he cold see the outline of the six figures. "Ok then so where am I then?" He asked with confusion clearly written on his face.
"It would seem that you are at a crossroads." The unicorn in what seemed like clothes you would see on a wizard said. Adrian was still confused so the unicorn continued. " you must make a choice between gaining a new life or passing on into the afterlife, but choose quickly for time is short." The unicorn said.
Adrian was about to pick the afterlife opition before a memory from past made him pause it was a memory of something say about his wish of wanting to go to Equestria maybe this would be better than to pass on into the afterlife. He sighed. "I choose to start a new life." He said.
The six figures nodded beforr forming a circle around Adrian. The unicon wizard spoke. "Good luck then young one may we meet again." He said as six different colored beams spawned from each of the figures and blinding light filled Adrian's vision.
Now back to twilight and the others.
Twilight and her friends were at first celebrating their victory over discord until a bright light started to form and the rainbow beam that hit discord went and hit the light. The light absorbed the rainbow before turning jet black and black flames surrounded it before the light shrinked and then spit out a orb into the air. The orb then flew through the air just barely missing princess Celestia and was heading in the direction of Canterlot Castle leaving a trail of black flames behind it.

Chapter 3 crashes and flames.
At Canterlot Castle garden
A royal guard named Day light was patrolling the garden making sure that the place was safe for the princess returned.
Day light was an above average height pegasus stallion and was very muscular. His coat was yellow almost like the sun, his mane was short and crimson red in color, his tail matched his mane. His eyes were sky blue. He wore the same golden armor that just about every soldier in the royal guard wore. His cutie mark was a red shield with a yellow sun behind it.
The garden seemed safe for now. Day light then heard a dull boom go off above and looked up to the sky. He then saw that a black ball of fire heading straight for him. He had barely enough time to roll out of the way before the flaming ball of death hit the ground. The ball exploded into a small pillar of fire letting loose a loud boom that shook the ground enough that the whole castle could felt it. The flames died quickly and where the fireball had landed was a small crater.
In the middle of the crater was a small mare with a mint green coat, a long yet messy black mane with two stripes one purple and the other gold, the mane covered her right eye. Her tail was colored the same way as her mane. At a distance, one would have mistaken her as a pegasus if it wasn't for the fact that she had bat wings, not pegasus wings. There was also what appeared to be a light blue gem embedded into her forehead. Her cutie mark was two black flaming swords with a light purple shield behind them.
Day light had got away with only a few scrapes here and there, but he was fine for the most part. He walked over to the crater and waited for the smoke to clear while in a combat stance ready to do battle should it have been a threat. When the smoke did clear, he saw a pony in the middle that was knocked out like a light and was badly injured most likely from the fall. He rushed over to mare. He then checked to see if she was still alive and notice that she was in fact still breathing. He gently picked her up and put her on his back.
Back with Twilight and the others
Princess Celestia landed to the right of the statue of Discord. She was very confused as to what almost hit her it looked like a black flaming comet. She pulled herself out of her thoughts as Twilight and her friends ran towards her.
"What was that?!" Twilight asked in a panicked tone. She wasn't sure what that black thing was yet it was throwing into a big panic which she was trying to keep in and was failing greatly at.
Princess Celestia shook her head. "I don't know my faithful student, but it seemed to be heading to Canterlot Castle so we don't have time to talk." Celestia said. " I need for you and your friends to come with me just in case this thing is working for discord." She continued as she starting to gather power in her horn getting prepared cast a multiple teleportation spell.
Twilight and her friends nodded in agreement. Discord's stone prison was lifted into a chariot being pulling by two royal guards they took off heading back to the castle.
Princess Celestia casted the teleportation spell and the princess along with the six mares, along with one baby dragon were wrapped in a golden light before disappearing.
At Canterlot Castle garden
Day light was about to run off to get the wounded mare some medical attention when a familiar golden light filled his vision. When his sight returned he saw Princess Celestia and the elements of harmony. He gave the princess a firm salute. "Your Highness." He said with a hint of worry for the mare on his back in his voice.
Princess Celestia looked towards Day light noticing the worry in his voice. She then noticed something or more like somepony on his back. " Day light what happened to the mare that is on your back?" She asked.
Day light then to explain what had happened with the black fireball that he saw coming for him and about the mare unconscious in the crater left behind. "I was about to take her towards the medical wing of the castle to get her injuries healed up when you and the elements showed up." He said.
Princess Celestia nodded. "Then let's don't waste any more time and get her towards the medical wing now." She said as she went to leave with Day light and the others following close behind.
Inside Adrian's mind
Adrian woke with start. He or was it she now? Well, she sounded right for some reason. She looked around and saw that she was in the red and black room as her last dream. The door to the room opened and what came out shocked her. It was Scar but if his hair was a bigger mess than it usually was, and he was a female pony with bat wings. Then a thought popped in her head and she looked at herself. She was a female pony no wonder Scar was as well. "Sooo you here to beat me up?" she said as if this has happened before which it never has.
Scar let out a tired sigh and got in her chair. "As much I would love to do so, I rather talk about what are we going to do when we wake up?" Scar asked while moving a black pawn one space forward this time.
Adrian moved a red pawn forward one space. "Well, it depends on where we wake up and who is around when that happens." She said. She sighed thinking about how sad her family must be to hear that she died, well that is if her death was reported already. "If we ended somewhere with nopony or people around than we find a place to stay at and try to find other ponies or people." She continued.
Scar smiled. "Well, at least a 'plan'." She said before her smile turned into a frown. "If we see discord again then we beating into all of the colors of the fucking rainbow." She said her tone very dark.
Adrian sighed and shook her head. "He will mostly just stop us like it was child's play to him." She said. The room started to turn white around the edges. "Well looks like time is up see ya." She said.
Scar sighed. "Fine be safe beside i'm your subconscious if you die then so will I and I WILL haunted you if do that." She said.
Adrian laughed. "Ok then I will try my best with that." She said. White then overtook her vision.
In the medical wing of the castle.
Adrian opened her eyes to the blinding lights and closed them again. 'I hate that hospital lights are so bright.' she thought. She blinked a few times to get the spots out her eyes. She looked around to the place. The walls and floor were marble white. The machine that hooked up to her was beeping. She looked down and saw that her forelegs were covered in bandages. "Well, that is probably because of the fall." She said 'No shit Adrian, of course, a fall like that would hurt unless we died on impact.' Scar deadpanned to her in her head. 'It's to hear from you, scar.' She thought. This was normal to them well more so the whole talking to each other not being a pony.
The door to the room that she was in opened and out two ponies. One was a nurse given by the fact of the white cap with a red cross on it rested on her light green mane. The nurse's coat was a pale black, her tail matched her mane, her eyes were a teal color, and her cutie mark was a needle with a red cross behind it. She was also a unicorn since Adrian could see a horn poking out of her mane. She was talking to the other pony while a pen and clipboard within her magic's teal aura.
The other pony or if Adrian could recall and hope she was right, was an Alicorn, known as Princess Celestia. Her rainbow-colored mane and tail was flowing like a river, The horn long and straight while the wings were folded on her back, her coat white like snow in winter, her violet eyes had a quizzical look in them, the golden shoes or so Adrian guess that what they were, a golden band with a purple gem was in front of the mare's barrel or whatever a pony's crest is called. The way she walked was graceful. Her face was calm and gentle. A golden crown sat on her head. Her cutie mark was of the sun. She was half listening to the nurse and was meeting the mare's somewhat tried eyes which were a dark purple for the right eye and bright gold for the left eye the mare's had moved enough to see the right eye. It was weird for a pony to have two eye colors but the other thing she noticed was how the mare's eyes were like a dragon's eye.
When the two got the bed that Adrian was in, Celestia noticed just how tried the mare's eyes were, they look empty for a lack of better terms yet still had something of a small spark in them. She decided to start the conversation first. "So it would seem that you are Miss...?" She trailed off waited for the mare to respond.
Adrian paused mainly to see if she could up with a good lie or something and was coming up dry so she went with the truth. "The name is Adrian, and it is nice to meet you, Princess Celestia." She said her shark-like teeth showing as she gave a devilish smile.
At the sight of Adrian's teeth, Celestia was a bit shocked at the fact of all of the mare's teeth looking like a shark's teeth. She never showed the shock. "How do you know my name?" She asked.
Adrian just looked at her before speaking. "Well from the world the world that I come I have heard a few stories about you and while I would go into detail when's just the two of us please," she said.
The nurse, her name was needle wound, looked between the princess and the mare. Celestia noticed this. "Please leave us." she said. The nurse bowed before leaving the room. Once she was gone Celestia's horn glowed and she cast a lie detector spell on the mare. "Now tell what you know Adrian and don't lie please." She said her tone cold.
Adrian sighed. "Well then where to begin, let's start with the fact that I wasn't a pony and was a different gender." she said. Adrian then went to tell about the world she came from and what her life was like before she got here, and how she became a pony. "I don't work for discord, in fact, I hate him for getting me killed on my own birthday no less." she said hate clear in her voice.
Celestia would have hugged the mare in front if it wasn't for the fact that she was still healing. "Your poor soul, I can't believe would do that." She said sadness in her tone. She regained her center before continuing. "Well, then I think it would be best if you stay in the castle until and we figure what to do with you." She said.
Adrian smiled before she started thinking to herself. "Maybe I should change my name just in case." She said before an idea came to her. "I think Dina Windfall sounds with a good name to me." Dina said.
Celestia nodded. "I think I should leave for now there are a few things that I should get done." She said as around to leave. "Also do not forget to not tell anypony unless I said so about this ok." she said
Adrian laughed for flinching in pain. "No problem on that end." she said.
Celestia nodded before leaving to let the nurse come in and check Dina's wounds.
