Equestria was a place of wonder, discovery, and brilliance. That was before July 4th, 2077. Equestria’s independence day. The Hooviet Union fired 25 Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles in the direction of Equestria. Destruction ensued. Cities wiped from the map. Lives ruined. Families destroyed. Vaults protected those who were able to be admitted. A few of Ponyville’s residents, occupying Vault 212, were saved from the harsh wastes of the landscape. Among those residents, were the mane 6. Canterlot’s population, Claiming Vault 243, was sliced in half. The Crystal Empire’s population was devastated by a cryo chamber malfunction in the vault. The residents were cut to 1/4th the original size. 200 years later, they emerge, and are forced to make a new life in the alien landscape that was once their home.
