The night of fire ravaged Equestria as the revolution raged across it. Princess Twilight and her friends barely managed to escape into the Everfree, along with some Royal Guards. Maybe by some divine intervention or dumb luck, the revolutionaries never found them.

Now, they have decided to return to Equestria, hopefully by now the revolution might be dead and confined to the dustbin of history.

They do not know that Equestria is now in two. There is a Federation to the north and a kingdom to the south. Enemies for eternity, with conflicting ideologies.

Can the friendship of Equestria be perserved by Twilight and her friends? Or will these two new societies squash their dreams and assimilate them into them?
