The Sun seemed to spit yellow venom on the tenebrific land where a broody mist and an atrabilious semblance always hung. Seven Ponies sat in a crystalline building, it looked almost untouched. It was far into the Everfree. Once feared by many, it still is feared by mares and colts alike except the fact the forest has gotten out of hand. Without StarSwirl's spell, the forest had infected Ponyville with it's enormous, regenerative vines. The vines were like hydras if the head gets chopped off, it grows back. The seven ponies could feel as if something was gnawing at there stomachs. They all groaned as they sat down on the chilling clear floors. The cold floor sent shivers up their spines. One pony was fastly pacing the room mumbling to herself. All the other ponies looked at her in concern but went back staring at their reflections. One of the seven ponies felt extremely guilty, her eyes were welling up with tears. She didn't want to cry in front of the especially the pony pacing back and forth. She forced her tears back but felt ashamed to hide her feelings, but it had to be done. It had been a solid four days since they've seen any other creature. The had finally failed or at least that's what one of the ponies had thought. That pony was the princess of friendship, Twilight Sparkle. She was accompanied by a silly pink earth pony named Pinkie Pie, a down to earth honest orange earth pony named Applejack, a loyal yet cocky blue pegasus named Rainbow Dash, a generous elegant white unicorn named Rarity, a kind loving yellow pegasi named Fluttershy and an emphatic smart passionate lilac unicorn named Starlight Glimmer. The Sun was high up in the sky gleaming its powerful rays. Princess Celestia and Princess Luna were still controlling the Sun and Moon but they as well fell victim to Grogar's trap. They were locked in cells and the only magic they were allowed to use is the magic they use to rise and set the Sun and Moon. They were all so famished and dehydrated. Starlight Glimmer looked at Twilight with worry and fear. Adrenaline flooded her system, It pumped like it was trying to escape. She felt like her heart would explode. "Hey y'all things will get better I promise," said Applejack, not even the element of honesty believed a word she said. The rest of the group looked at Applejack knowing she had lied. But not a word was said. As night fell the blue haze of day lifted to reveal the stars. It was getting late and the moon began to slowly appear over the horizon. The once bright blue sky became as dark as a black hole sucking the very essence of the once blue sky. The ponies got up and went there separate ways for they were exhausted and wanted to escape to the dream realm knowing princess Luna would not be there to guide or help them. As the ponies consciousness ebbed, their mind went into free fall, swirling with the beautiful chaos of a new dream. Starlight Glimmer was the only pony who was awaked in the desolate treehouse. Each of the ponies dreams was their worst fears. Their minds were being plagued with despair and hopelessness. It slowly started to rain, the pitter patter of the droplets hitting the windows bothered Starlight. Seconds became minutes and minutes became hours. Starlight laid on her bed with her eyes wide open. "Ugh," she moaned as she put her hooves over her face. "Why can't I sleep?" thought Starlight as she stared into the glass window watching the rain droplets slowly glazed off the window. A small picture sat on her nightstand. She glanced over at it. In the picture, Twilight had wrapped her wing around Starlight. Starlight levitated the picture over to her, she smiled, small forms of tears filled her eyes. Starlight had recently had some feelings for the princess, but she would never tell her, at least not right now. With Grogar taking over Equestria Starlight became more fragile with Twilight. She was worried about the mare. Twilight had spent her nights lost in her own thoughts. "It's not your fault Twilight," thought Starlight. When The Legion of Doom attacked Equestria Spike.... well Spike couldn't make it....there was an enormous explosion. It was as though a fist of orange flame had decided to punch its way out of the main complex. Windows shattered. Smoke and fire rushed out. Thousands of pieces of glass and steel, a deadly rainfall, showered down. The impact of the explosion had knocked every wisp of air from Twilights lungs, and she laid there struggling to inhale, to exhale, to do anything. Starlight rushed over to Twilight limping hugging her. Twilight was as pale as chalk. She lost everything....again but this time she lost Spike. Memories flooded her mind of her and Spike. Twilight's eyes formed tears, rushing down like a waterfall. She shoved her head into Starlight's shoulder. The rest of the Mane 6 ran to Twilight, they all looked at Starlight and she looked back and began to weep. "It's going to be okay Twilight," whispered Starlight and she stroked Twilight's mane. The scene was quite unbelievable, shocking really. Starlight's mind was sent reeling, unable to comprehend or process the images it was being sent by her eyes. Pieces of ash and rubble flew through the air clogging Starlight's throat causing her to choke. She held in her cough for a couple of seconds but began to cough, now this wasn't a good cough it was a harsh cough as if she was coughing up blood or vomiting. The rest of the Mane 6 ran over to what was left of the castle. Photographs littered the floor burnt up and ripped. One photo laid there barely untouched. It was a picture of Twilight wrapping her wing around Starlight. "Starlight..... this is all that's really left, well this is the only thing that is barely untouched," said Rarity levitating it over to Starlight who was still comforting a weeping Twilight. "Thank you, Rarity," said Starlight in a raspy voice. She looked at the photo, her eyes began to swell up with silvery tears. Starlight's brain was jumbled with thoughts but the only thing she was worried about was Twilight's well being. "I love you Twilight...." mumbled Starlight. Starlight sat in her bed starring at the ceiling. She thought of the purple alicorn, her stomach felt weird it felt as if little pill bugs squirmed through her stomach down to her intestines. "This doesn't seem right, ugh if I don't tell Twilight things are going to get more awkward aren't they?" Whispered Starlight. In the morning all seven ponies gathered around a small round table to discuss one another's nightmares. They were all exhausted except for Twilight and Starlight. The rest of the mares tried to keep my eyes open but were slowly falling, victim to fatigue. Their eyes slowly squinting. Their body language becoming more apparent that they were exhausted. Soon Rainbow Dash pounded her head on the table falling asleep. Drool slowly made its way out of Pinkie Pie's mouth. Applejack, though tired was the only one out of the five mares who wasn't completely on the verge of drifting off to sleep. Applejack was a morning pony, always was and always will be. Is what she would say to those who opposed the idea of Applejack being a morning pony. "So did y'all sleep well, I guess it's apparent some of us did not!" Exclaimed Applejack looking at Rainbow Dash. "Yes well I slept well but I had an interesting dream it wasn't a nightmare but oddly weird," said Twilight rubbing her hooves across her chin slightly blushing. "Yea I slept pretty decently but I uh had an odd dream as well, but I'd rather not talk about it here," said Starlight lightly blushing. "Hmmm well, I had a dream more like a nightmare that Sweet Apple Acres had run out of apples to harvest! The apples that were bucked from the trees were rotten and mushy. An absolute nightmare if you ask me!" Exclaimed Applejack. "Ahem, well uh can you guys excuse me for a minute, Starlight can you please come with me?" Asked Twilight. Starlight felt her heart race, her eyes shot wide open. She nervously followed Twilight into one of the rooms. The room was empty, except for a desk and a stack of papers. Starlight felt like some creature or something was gnawing away at her empty stomach. The weird pain soon moved to her guts and lightly groaned. Causing Twilight to look back at her once pupil. "Starlight, are you feeling alright?" Asked Twilight in a gentle tone. She put her hoof around Starlight's back. "Yes, I'm fine just a little.... uh... hungry I suppose," replied Starlight in a nervous tone. Twilight gave Starlight an unconvinced look. Both ponies sat down on the floor, there was an awkward moment of silence for a bit, Twilight began to worry as much as Starlight was. "Maybe I should call this off, it was a dream, after all, it's not all that serious, I think? Thought Twilight. Her heart began to race as much as Starlight was. "So... uh why are we in here Twi? Is something wrong?" Asked Starlight anxiously waiting for a response Twilight took a deep breath, "Okay Twilight you can do this," Thought Twilight. "Okay Starlight listen this may seem really weird and awkward, and you may or may not like me for a while but....." "Hey! Don't leave me in suspense here Twi!" Said Starlight chuckling. Starlight nudged Twilight, soon they were both chuckling. Starlight and Twilight felt more relaxed now. It felt as the worry monster just disappeared at least for now, but it felt good for both Twilight and Starlight. "Haha ah, ahem well uh I had a dream last night and uh actually this is pretty embarrassing but, let's just say things got in..ti..mate," said Twilight folding her ears and looking away from Starlight in worry as what her reaction might be. "Oh, why are you telling me this Twi?" Asked Starlight. "Well I mean we are the only ones who got really got any sleep besides AJ she's always been a morning pony but that's besides the point. I just trust you Starlight and I hope that wasn't too weird and strange," said Twilight still looking away from Starlight. "Well Twi, I uh, a dream just like that, an intimate one. You were pinning me down and you tugged at a collar that was around my neck and you......." "Okay okay okay, I really don't wanna hear about that Star, I mean no offense I just don't wanna get into logistics, ya know," said Twilight anxiously. "Oh, yea you're right haha. But uh Twilight since we are on the topic of...... lust, love I think? Actually, I don't really know what you call this conversation but...Twi I..." Starlight bit her lip holding back the words she was about to say that would either halt her and Twi's relationship or bring them both together. "Star I..." "Twilight Sparkle, the day I set my eyes on you I felt something that I had never felt before not even with Sunburst. I was surprised to see an alicorn, an alicorn so beautiful. When I almost destroyed the universe haha I em lost sight of what I was feeling. When you took me as your pupil I realized these feelings were real. Getting to know you has been a pleasure and an honor," Starlight bowed to Twilight and to Twilight's surprise she lightly chuckled at her once feared enemy. Twilight's face began to turn a deep red. She tried to cover her face but couldn't. Starlight's face also became a deep red as if it spread to her like an infection. "Star? I think..." "You gave me a chance when nopony else did. Twilight what I am trying to say but won't get out of my damn mouth is....." "Starlight...I... ugh just get over here," said Twilight grabbing Starlight, they were soon muzzle to muzzle. In a moment Twilight pressed her lips against Star's, she felt her body loosen. They pull apart and take shaky, shallow breaths. Unable to contain themselves anymore, Starlight held Twilight head in her hooves and pulls her into a fiery and passionate kiss. Starlight's hooves venture over her curved body, exploring. They pull apart and open their eyes. They stare at each other, deep into each other's eyes. Star's full of wonder and love, Twi's full of curiosity and passion. Starlight leans in a softly kisses up and down Twilight's neck. Starlight worked her way back to her tender, smooth lips. As they kiss Twilight rolls Star over and lies on top of her tender body. She runs her lips up to Starlight's neck and lands a loving and intense kiss on his lips. Once they broke the kiss saliva drooled down their fur. They both wiped the salvia and started panting like a pack of wolves. "Twi...?" Said Starlight with a shaky voice "I love you Starlight Glimmer," said Twilight still panting "I love you too Princess Twilight Sparkle," said Starlight Glimmer heavily breathing. Twilight pulled Starlight in for another intense kiss. Hot pink sparks flew from Starlight's horn, the sparks soon formed a heart. Both mares broke from the kiss and looked up at the heart. "I think that means your in love Miss Glimmer," said Twilight giving Starlight a smug look. "I think so, Princess." "I'm happy you told me how you felt Starlight. In the recent events, I've felt no hope and that we were down for, but you made me feel that there is hope for Equestria. We can defeat Grogar and I want you by my side for the rest of entirety Starlight Glimmer," said Twilight wrapping her hooves around Starlight. "I promise to be by your side Princess Twilight Sparkle," said Starlight giving Twilight a reassuring look. Twilight chuckled, "You don't need to call me that Starlight? But if you wish then that ay okay with me," Twilight winked at Starlight and they both hugged and tears started to form. They both began to chuckle, confused why they were slowly beginning to cry. Twilight leaned in and gave Starlight another passionate kiss. Applejack made her way up to the room where Star and Twi were. Applejack heard light sobs coming from the room. She quickly opened the door to find Starlight and Twilight kissing. "What the horse apples is going on here!?" Starlight and Twilight broke from the kiss and quickly got up, "Nothing," said both mares in unison. "I didn't know you guys were Lesbians?" Asked Applejack. "Lesbians?! I'm not a...uh....." said Starlight stuttering. "Well if you ain't-a Lesbian then your Bisexual then?" Replied Applejack giving Star a stern look. "Anyways we can deal with your little filly love later, Fluttershy had sent out a group of critters mostly pukwudgies to make sure that nocreature knows we are here and apparently Chrysalis has found the Treehouse she's just outside!" Exclaimed Applejack. "First of all, It's not filly love....WAIT WHAT CHRYSALIS HERE!!!! OH NO, NO.....wait maybe she's here to accept friendship and transform??" Exclaimed Starlight. "I don't think that's the case Star she has an army of Changelings following her I don't think she's here for that," said Applejack. "Wait but all the Changelings have been reformed, how could she....?" "We need to go now! Either fight or flee most of us are willing to fight but...." Suddenly the door flung wide open to reveal Chrysalis and her army... "Hahahahaaa! Come out Starlight Glimmer I know you are in here hiding with all your pathetic pony friends. Suddenly Twilight turned into a Changeling hissing at Starlight. "NO!! Awk I can't believe I kissed you Awk!" "WHERE IS TWILIGHT SPARKLE!?!?" Yelled Starlight. "Well, apparently it was filly love!" Exclaimed Applejack. "Haha very funny well this isn't the time for jokes. Applejack get the others ready!" Said Starlight firmly. "If your here for a fight Chrysalis then a fight is what you will get!" Said Starlight, her horn lit up, a few hot pink sparks first flew out then changed to light turquoise. The gleaming of the light almost blinded Chrysalis. She covered her green acid like eyes. She glared at Starlight with pure evil. Burning rage filled her eyes. "This time Starlight you won't win and I get to wait to see that. Hahahaaaahaa!" Exclaimed the Bug Queen. Starlight gulped in worry and fear but kept a fighting stance. "Well, apparently Starlight and Twilight were making out or something and then when Chrysalis barged in uninvited, Twilight well fake Twilight now, turned into a Changeling," said Applejack. The rest of the Mane six gasped. "Are you sure that happened?" asked Pinkie Pie. "Hey! You know I ain't no liar!" Exclaimed Applejack scowling at Pinkie. "No silly I mean Starlight and Twilight making out? Did that actually happen?" Replied Pinkie. "Oh yea that actually happened, didn't it Starlight?" Said Applejack giving her a smug look. Applejack always got on Starlight's nerves for some reason more than Pinkie. "You're cruel Applejack! That's noponies business but mine and Twilights" Snapped Starlight her face turning a deep red. "So it did happen then?" Said a half-asleep Rainbow Dash. "....Yes alright there is your answer, yes I made out with Twilight, well a fake one at that," said Starlight her face was now redder than a Red Giant. Starlight felt ashamed now the fact she gave away a perfectly good confession to a fake Twilight rubbed her the wrong way. Rarity went to comfort Starlight, putting her hoof around Starlight. "Don't worry Starlight we won't judge you! But for right now we need to deal with this vile creature!" Exclaimed Rarity. "Awww, That's so sweet Starlight has some feelings for the princess. Huh? Don't you Starlight Glimmer?" Exclaimed Chrysalis hissing at Starlight. "Yes I do have feelings for Twilight and I will do everything in my power to find her and set things straight!" Snapped Starlight, she raised up on her hind legs and fired a beam at Chrysalis knocking her back a bit. Changelings moved in on the six ponies. "Augh!" Exclaimed Chrysalis as she struggled to maintain her balance. "LEAVE NOW! HEAD OVER TWILIGHT!!! OR SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES!!!!" Yelled Starlight. "Ahhhh your love is so extensive!" Said Chrysalis licking her lips as her minions hissed the six ponies backing them back into a corner. "Extensive that's an interesting word to use in this context?" Snapped Starlight. The Changelings began to hiss more intensely spurring their spit all over the ponies. "Awk! Gross!" Yelled Pinkie Pie flicking the saliva off her hooves. Some saliva hit a Changeling in the eye causing the Changeling to spazz out and a gap formed for the six ponies to flee. "You could've just teleported us?" Snapped Rainbow Dash. "I'm Sorry jeez I'm under a lot of pressure right now! Also, we are not fleeing we are going to stand our ground!" Exclaimed Starlight. "What?! Are you crazy!" Replied Rainbow Dash. "No, I'm not crazy but don't you guys have friendship magic or something!!! You used it to defeat Sombra!? Why not use it now?!" Said Starlight. The six ponies ran into a large room, they closed and barricaded the door with chairs and a desk. "That's not gonna work Star!" Said Fluttershy. "I know but here listen..." "No, you listen!" Snapped Applejack. "We can't use our "friendship magic" because there are only five of us, you know who missing... your little marefriend Twilight!" "Well I'm sorry Applejack but I didn't know that I've only saved Equestria once while y'all have saved Equestria countless times!" Replied Starlight yelling at AJ. "Star just calm down, we need to think of a plan and quick!" Exclaimed Rainbow Dash. "No Applejack needs to calm down!" Replied Starlight. "Everypony STOP!" Yelled Rarity. AJ and Star stopped fighting and the rest of the ponies looked at Rarity. "We need to think of a plan okay like Rainbow Dash said, "We need to think of a plan and quick!" Okay so let's work together we can never go wrong with teamwork!" Said Rarity. "Rarity is right everypony......" "Yea no....." "Applejack!" Rarity gave Applejack a stern look signaling her to stop arguing with Starlight. Suddenly the door was rattling. The Changelings were shaking the door violently! "Ugh, you fools! Move!" Demanded Chrysalis. Chrysalis used her magic to blow up the door. "What's the plan everypony?!" Asked a worried Rainbow Dash. "Stand our ground!" Replied Starlight. The six ponies charged at Queen Chrysalis and her minions. Starlight fired a laser beam at Chrysalis. Chrysalis did the same and the laser met causing the Treehouse to shake. Everypony and Changeling stopped to look at Starlight and Chrysalis. Starlights beam was slowly starting to overcome Chrysalis. Chrysalis began to worry, some droplets of sweat shimmered down her dark grey fleshy skin. Chrysalis looked at one of the Changelings who was watching she nodded her head and the Changeling turned into Twilight. The Changeling soon made a dramatic entrance to get Starlight off her guard. "Starlight!!!" yelled the fake Twilight. "Twilight? Twilight!" yelled Starlight her beam was slowly shorter and shorter as Chrysalis went full throttle with her magic. Fake Twilight fell on the ground limping, bruises and blood covered her. "What did you do to her!" Demanded Starlight. "Oh a little torture here and little torture there nothing the princess of friendship couldn't handle, Hahahahaaaahaa!" Replied Chrysalis. The fake Twilight grabbed Starlight's forehoof and moaned in pain. "Starlight, Oh Starlight you foolish fool," said the fake Twilight. Starlight looked deep into Twilight purple eyes. She realized it was a trick but it was too late. "Get off of me you heathen!" Shouted Starlight kicking the Changeling off of her. The fake Twilight turned back into a Changeling and hissed at Starlight. Chrysalis beam got closer and closer to Starlight's horn and then.....BOOM! Starlight was flung up in the air and landed on the hard crystalline ground. "STARLIGHT!" Said Applejack running to Starlight's aid with the girls following behind. "Run." "What?" Asked Rainbow Dash. "Run." "FInd Twilight." "That is my only request," whispered Starlight. "But...." "No but's, find Twilight and run!" "Awww looks like the lil ponies are sad awww, well I will cut you a deal!" Demanded Chrysalis "No Chrysalis..." Chrysalis put her hoof over Applejacks mouth. "Ahh ahh ahh, you don't even know what the deal is!" Applejack removed Chrysalis hoof. "I don't need...." "If you hand over Starlight Glimmer I will give you Twilight Sparkle, the real Twilight Sparkle. "We will never..." "Shush you pathetic blue pegasus!" Shouted Chrysalis. Applejack thought for a minute, her body language told the other's she was considering this deal. "Applejack, no darling you can't consider..." "Rarity it might be for the greater good! I know what I'm doing," whispered Applejack. "Starlight and the rest of the girls aren't going to like what I'm about to say," thought Applejack. "We will hand over Starlight in exchange for the real Twilight Sparkle. "No Applejack, what are you thinking, Starlight is our friend, friends don't betray one another!" Shouted Rainbow Dash. "Rainbow Dash listen to me," said Applejack putting her hooves around Rainbow's face. "We are going to get Twilight and then defeat Chrysalis and take back Equestria!" Whispered Applejack. "I hope this turns out that way your planning this because we have only one shot at this Applejack!" Replied Rainbow Dash. "So yes we will hand over Starlight Glimmer and now give us our Twilight, not a Changeling in disguise!" Snapped Applejack. "Good, I wasn't so hopeful that you would abide with my deal," replied Chrysalis. A group of Changelings brought in a tired, emotionally drained princess. She looked as if she was dead, her body limp and lifeless. Something the Mane five weren't expecting. "Is she dead!?" Asked Pinkie Pie. "No she's not, just exhausted," said Applejack putting her hoof on Twilight's chest making sure she was still breathing. "That's a relief, I guess Chrysalis kept her word this time," said Pinkie Pie. "She better," said Applejack scowling at the once queen. "Hey, no need for scowling you should thank me for such a considerable deal," said Chrysalis smirking. "If you have other tricks up your sleeves we will hunt you down like a pack of wolves after a deer," said Rainbow Dash firmly. "Oh no need to aggressive.....wait was that a threat, anyways that doesn't matter I will get out of your manes now," said Chrysalis picking up a limp Starlight Glimmer. Chrysalis left the treehouse with her army of Changelings. Right as Chrysalis left she threw Starlight against a tree, still limp her body flopped on the wet soil. "I really hope I did the right thing," thought Applejack. "Hahaahhaaa this is going to be fun!" Grinned Chrysalis and began to laugh hysterically. She reverently rubbed her hooves along the silken mattress. She pressed her cheek to the cool, velvet pillows. The comforter was thick and irresistibly soft, like a billowing cloud. The room contained a small bed, neatly made, two straight-backed chairs, a washstand, a bureau without any mirror and a small table. The room almost seemed cave-like. The room was dim with only a candle sitting on a small table in the right corner of the bedroom. Twilight sat up only to find her head was pounding as if something was stomping on her head. Suddenly the Mane five came into the room to check up on her once again. "Oh, she's awake!" Said Rarity. "Where am I?" Asked an anxious Twilight. "We are in the student treehouse hiding from Grogar, but we can't stay here long. Chrysalis came by and took Starlight Glimmer!" Exclaimed Applejack. "Chrysalis took Starlight!!" "NO!" "I can't believe this we are never going to...." "Well, Chrysalis didn't take Starlight per-say Applejack handed her over as, like a trade of some sort, Chrysalis offered us a deal. In exchange for Starlight, we got you!" Exclaimed Pinkie Pie in her Pinkie Pie-ish way. "Applejack, what?!......" "I can't believe this, no, no NO NO!" "Applejack why?!" Said Twilight as tears formed in her eyes. "Twilight I can explain it was all part of my plan....." At this point, Applejack felt ashamed that she just gave away Starlight but it was part of her plan, she just needed that to get through Twilight's head. "I don't even want to speak to you Applejack." "After years and years building a relationship with Starlight just to have it thrown away like trash!" "It's unbelievable you would do such a thing!" As Applejack slowly exited the room with her head hung low, Fluttershy spoke out. "Twi don't be so harsh on her, there was a lot and I mean a lot of stuff going on at that time." "It was stressful for all of us, I know Applejack wouldn't just give away Starlight like the apples she harvested," said Fluttershy in her gentle tone, hoping Twilight would understand. Twilight sighed, "I bet she didn't mean to do that or she had a perfectly good idea of what she was doing but I mean you just don't do that!" Replied Twilight, tears still flowed from her eyes like a raging waterfall. "It's okay Twi, we will get Starlight back but we needed you!" Replied Fluttershy. "So you needed me so you gave another one away?" "How in Equestria does make sense?!" Said Twilight frowning. "Well...." "Did Starlight have any say in this?" "Or was it just Applejacks idea, huh?" Snapped Twilight. Fluttershy hugged Twilight and stroked her mane, then she answered Twilight's question. "Well... Starlight was out like passed out I believe and Chrysalis said if we gave her Starlight she would give us you and...." "Oh great now there's *sniff* a chance she could be dead!" Exclaimed Twilight shielding her eyes. Tears were gushing out of her eyes, she couldn't control it anymore and let the biggest sob known to ponykind. Applejack who was outside of the room burying herself with negative thoughts and emotions. When she heard Twilight scream her eyes formed more watery tears. She lightly sobbed as the realization of what she did was awful and really unbelievable. It was really out of character for her. She was the honest one, not the loyal one but Applejack has never and had never given up a friend like a basket of apples. "How could I've done this?" Thought Applejack. "Awk!" "Where am I?" Demanded Starlight Glimmer. She felt a green icky goo holding her down in one place. The lack of light bothered Starlight, something rubbed her the wrong way. Being in a dark room knowing somecreature or something could pop out at any moment. Her eyes were confused and dazzled. The world was etched in charcoal, the once vibrant hues of the plants were no more than a vivid dream. "Welcome Starlight Glimmer, take a seat...oh wait you can't!" Said a deep voice. Starlight could hear the buzzing of its wings, she imminently knew it was Chrysalis. "Was that supposed to be funny because if so I forgot to laugh Chrysalis!," said Starlight sarcastically. "Agh! I could easily destroy you but that wouldn't be any fun would it, No. So instead I'm going to torture you until you breathe your final breath!" Exclaimed Chrysalis. Starlight gulped and her hooves felt like jello shaking and wobbly. "How in Equestria did I get here?" Whispered Starlight. Her off body language told Chrysalis she was thinking about something or someone? "Aww is somepony thinking about her marefriend," teased Chrysalis. "No! I mean... that's none of your business bug!" Snapped Starlight. "Wow what an insult I must say!" "But if you're wondering how you got here your friends turned you in, in exchange for Twilight Sparkle. I'm impressed they would turn you in, such disloyalty." "Ah, I remember Rainbow Dash begging Applejack to spare you but no Applejack was actually confident in her answer!" Said Chrysalis a big grin grew on her face. "No..." "Ah and the fact you kissed one of my Changelings makes me laugh, ahh your in love which is perfect for me." "I can finally eat!" Said Chrysalis licking her lips. She could feel Starlight's burning love and lust for the princess. "Ahh, it's more than love it's also lust missy!" Starlight blushed, she tried covering her face but couldn't since well she had something Chrysalis had surely made holding her down. "I uh...." "Oh, I can feel it!" "You want to pounce on the princess, give her an intense kiss and swirl your tongue around her mouth as she moans." "You want her to touch....." "Okay okay!" "Please stop!" Asked Starlight firmly. "Oh, now you feel weird huh? Your nether....." "Oh for Celestia's sake stop!" Demanded Starlight. "Hahaha oh how this is fun," said Chrysalis as she moved around Starlight's body. She transformed into Twilight which made Starlight sweat. She was worried about what Chrysalis would do to her. Chrysalis removed the icky slimy things that were holding Starlight down. Chrysalis pinned Star on the ground. "Get off me!" Exclaimed Starlight. "Isn't this what you want?" Asked Chrysalis. "No, I don't want....mmph!" Suddenly Chrysalis picked up Starlight absorbing her love and lust. Starlight moaned in agony as she felt the very essence keeping her sane was stripped from her. Starlight felt very weak. She felt as her body was slowly dying. Seeing Starlight laying on the ground weak and fragile gave Chrysalis a sense of tranquility."Oh, your so pathetic Starlight." "It's funny actually not going lie hahaha." "How dare you! Snapped Starlight barely regaining the strength to get on all fours. Chrysalis picked Starlight up with her magic and threw her against the wall. "I haven't eaten like this in ages!" "It feels so good to get a hold on love, ahh, your burning passion for Twilight paid off I suppose," said Chrysalis looking straight into Starlight's pale indigo eyes. "I hate you so much Chrysalis!" "Your a vile evil creature you are a predator." "Your frontal eyes are better than any hawk and your teeth sharper than steak knives." You move in the shadows until your victims were in reach and then you grab them and absorb their very essence." "Absolutely pure evil!" Snapped Starlight. "Oh haha you will regret that Miss Glimmer," Said Chrysalis smirking Chrysalis opened her mouth and to Starlight's surprise slime dripped, oozing great globs of phlegm from Chrysalis mouth. It was sticky mucus, rancid and toxic to touch. Three rows of teeth, each as sharp as a dagger. Starlight squirmed like a caterpillar being touched. Chrysalis gave Starlight an evil malicious stare. Said Fluttershy standing her ground. "Wow, that was a pretty darn good speech there Flutters!" Said Rainbow Dash. Fluttershy blushed, "Thank you Rainbow Dash, I uh... Flutters?" "Okay?" "I uh appreciate it!" Replied Fluttershy. "Fluttershy is right, we need to work together as a team!" "We've been through so much together, whos to say this one is different!" Said Twilight. Rainbow raised her hoof, "Well we are saving STarlight and we don't know much about this Grogar guy and..." Fluttershy covered Rainbows mouth with her hoof and growled at her signaling her to remain quiet. Twilight's eye began to twitch in worry and fear, "Thanks Rainbow Dash I really needed that, ahem well I'm sure you all know what I'm trying to get at?" "Right?!" Asked a nervous Twilight. "Of course darling," replied Rarity the rest nodded their heads in agreement. "Okay, so here's the plan..." Said Twilight as the rest huddled up like a football team. "Oh Starlight?! Where are you?" Asked Chrysalis. Starlight was hiding behind a small rock barely covering her, she was too exhausted to use her magic. Starlight bit her lip as she held her breath. The rock was littered with vines and the rock looked as if what ten times this size but had been weathered down like Starlight's positivity. They were outside the Changeling Kingdom. Chrysalis had taken King Thorax and Prince Pharynx hostage. The rest of the Changelings fleed in fear. They ran to Princess Celestia but fell right into Grogar's trap and they soon were locked up in cages like the princess and other creatures. Starlight either wanted to run fast for the hills or work to find weaponry, but instead, she stayed right where she was. Sometimes freezing is the best of the choices. She wanted to quell the hammering in her chest, but there's no way that will happen now. Chrysalis chilling voice became louder and louder almost booming like a speaker, Starlight felt as if her heart wanted to rip out of her chest and run. "Eeny Meeny Miney Mo..." "Gotcha!!!" Said Chrysalis frightening Starlight. She hissed at the unicorn and used her magic to drag Starlight over to her. She then proceeded to throw the mare against a wall over and over again. "You're going to break my back!" Pleading Starlight. "That's the intent!" A huge grinned spread across Chrysalis face. "Your little pony friends are going to come to hunt me down and exterminate me like the bug I am!" "But when they see you....." "Oh wow caught up in the moment, I'm not going to tell you. That's villainy 101, don't tell your plans to your nemesis," said Chrysalis rolling her eyes in amusement that she was this close from blowing her cover, at least that's what she thought. She didn't want to take any risks here. This plan had to work, it had to! Meanwhile, Starlight Glimmer tried to scramble away, limping and crawling on the hard terrain ground. "Oh your not going anywhere!" Shouted Chrysalis lifting up Starlight once again and this time she threw her against a rock with holes, it looked like something that belonged in the old hive. She was flung against the rock causing it to break in half. Her mouth opened in a silent scream and her unblinking eyes popped like a fashioned toy doll. A bead of cool sweat dripped down her back and her fur became as pale as Chrysalis fangs that flashed before her. She aggressively hissed and growled at Starlight. "Please stop, I will do anything just please stop torturing me, please!!" Cried out a petrified Starlight Glimmer. "Anything eh?" "Will you help me destroy those six pathetic ponies!" Exclaimed Chrysalis. "No, please..." Pleaded Starlight Glimmer. "Sorry, that's the only thing I will abide by," said Chrysalis. "I uh...Okay okay, just please don't make do something I will regret for the rest of my life!" Pleaded and wounded Starlight. "Yeah yeah okay," replied Chrysalis carelessly. Starlight knew she was lying or to say the least not showing any care or empathy towards her and how this would affect her. But then again Chrysalis is a love sucking bug with no ability to love another creature or pony. Her Stubbornness and pride gets the best of her sometimes. "Do we even know where Chrysalis even is?" Asked a curious Rainbow Dash. "No... but I have an idea where she might be and where Starlight is!" Replied Twilight. "Where?!" Asked a stricken Pinkie Pie. "Outside of the Changeling Kingdom, there is a small group of caverns that weave their way into the Macintosh mountains." "I'm assuming shes their since in the past Changelings have recorded sites of her lurking near there Kingdom." Said a confident Twilight. "Are we there yet?" Asked Pinkie Pie. "No, not yet but we are close!" Replied Twilight. A couple of hours passed and the gang soon became dehydrated and famished. "Twilight you said we were close a couple of hours ago?" "The rest of us are hungry and thirsty?!" Complained a deflated Pinkie Pie. "I swear we are...*pant* almost there..." said an exhausted Twilight. 15 minutes had passed and they soon were met with a set of small loose looking caverns. One stood out though, it was bulky and was littered with the feeling of emptiness. The temperature drops as you enter into the massive underground chamber, sending a violent chill down your spine. Light reaches neither wall nor ceiling, confining vision to a small circle of flickering orange cast by the torch; inky black water sloshes against a narrow strip of land that disappears into the darkness before you and jagged teeth of stone descend from the shadows above. "This place gives me the hebbie jeebies!" Exclaimed Pinkie Pie. "I agree," said a frighten Rainbow Dash. After walking in a straight line for what seemed like an eternity, they were met with a small room which was a dead end. Spiky rocks or spikes in general littered the cavern from head to toe. Sharp rocks that could pierce your back splitting you in half and put on a display for the twisted fools who entered this cave. For what these ponies saw was unbelieve. It shocked them. They felt as if their skin oozed away from their bodies. "Oh, My Celestia!" Whispered Applejack as her eyes shot wide open. She knew at this point in time the plan wasn't going exactly according to plan. A hot fluorescent pink spewed out of Starlight's body oozing its way around Chrysalis body until it reached her mouth. She sucked in the love feeling a burn down her throat as she swallowed the substance. She licked her lips feeling a tangy burn spreading throughout her tongue. Starlight fell to the ground like a meteor, her eyes once a light navy turned into a pale navy. She whimpered in pain, still holding on to the very little love and hope she had left. Chrysalis began to laugh like a hyena fighting for its food. Suddenly Twilight interjected charging her horn up with a pink glow, her eyes squinted and filled with rage. The others soon followed behind her worried. "Let her go!" Cried out Twilight. "Awww, it looks like your marefriend has come to save you?" Replied Chrysalis smirking at the princess. "Marefriend?!" "What in Equestria...." "Oh, well there was a fake Twilight and well Starlight... and you... kinda... made out, so uh yeah that's all you really missed!" "Nothing much!" Interrupted Pinkie Pie in her Pinkie Pie-ish way. "Oh..." Twilight's horn dimmed and she plopped on the ground processing what Pinkie had told her. She began to blush immensely. Chrysalis began to puker her lips up she could feel Twilight's love but it was not strong yet to satisfy the bug. Applejack slowly emerged from behind the others comforting Twilight. "Oh, it looks like the traitor is comforting the princess... oh how contrary!" Remarked Chrysalis. Those words traitor sunk into Starlight's body like a pair of Timberwolves sinking their teeth into her fur..."Traitor????" "But that isn't how...." "Oh yes, Applejack had given you up, sold you for the princess!" "Such disloyalty, I...." "Applejack is the element of honesty, I'm the element of loyalty!" Exclaimed Rainbow Dash frowning. Starlight couldn't believe what Chrysalis said, even if it was true or not it hurt."Applejack I....." "Here let's test Applejacks honesty here... did you did or did not give up Starlight for Twilight?" Asked Chrysalis grinning. Applejack who was on the verge of tears knew she had to keep to what happened. No matter what, but was it the right thing to do here? She thought. Her mind spun like a spindle on a spinning wheel... "Yes, I did!" Exclaimed Applejack. "How could you Applejack?!" Starlight was at a loss of words, rage? Sadness? She bit her lip and hid her face in her hooves. Applejack caught onto to her body language. Applejacks ears folded and backed up with her head hanging low. "How does that make you feel Starlight Glimmer?" Asked Chrysalis. Twilight caught onto what she was trying to do, she snapped. "Don't you dare Chrysalis!!!" "Do what??" "What am I doing wrong princess?" Replied Chrysalis smirking lightly chuckling. "First of all everything you're doing right now is wrong and second of all you are trying to manipulate her!" Shreiked Twilight. "Ahhh, I would never do such a preposterous and conjecturing thing!" Snapped back Chrysalis acting. Twilight rolled her eyes and glanced at the girls signaling them chit chat time was now over. They all grabbed each other's hooves and a sparkle-ie type beam formed around the six mares. Chrysalis smirked and looked at Starlight she lightly nodded her head and Starlight got up firing a beam at the blast causing it to halt in place, fall apart whatever you describe a disturbing interruption. "Starlight?!?!" "No!" Snapped Twilight, realizing Starlight had been demanded to do this, she didn't mean it but she was like a slave or being enslaved to do what Chrysalis wished. "I'm so sorry Twilight but....." tears formed in her eyes and she stepped back, "Chrysalis I can't do this please stop!" "Be reasonable please!" "Reasonable?!" "Awk, I knew you would chicken out!" "I'll just destroy you all then!!!" Screamed Chrysalis. Chrysalis raised on her hind legs and her horn lit up like a firework. She fired the beam but Starlight intercepted it blocking it with her magic. Her horn blistered with turquoise sparks. The creases in her horn glowed as bright as Rarity's fur. Sweat droplets glistened down her face as she tried to keep a steady pace. The Mane Six got up and joined Starlight. The magic aura from before sprouted at of the ground like the Tree of Harmony. All six beams....ahem seven now. The seven beams darted at Chrysalis like pukwudgie spikes. They hit her hard knocking her back against the wall. All seven ponies eyes glowed a milk-white. The beam growing in size and brightness caused Chrysalis to shield her eyes. The blinding flash pierced through Chrysalis body! A series of new flashes broke out and then... BOOM! The cave exploded, Chrysalis was trampled by falling debris. Chrysalis felt as if she was suffocating... but from what the heat, pressure, her own breath! She squirmed her way out of the debris. She looked at the 6 mares they were huddled together over Starlight who was lying down and was gravely injured. "Starlight!" Cried out Twilight, she laid next to Starlight making sure was alright... for the most part. She nudged her head next to Starlight's purring. "Awk! You pathetic ponies always win, I will not lose to you again!" Shrieked Chrysalis charging her horn once more. "Chrysalis! Stop! This isn't what you want, your pride and stubbornness is getting the best of you, look around Chrysalis, I want to help you, I've been there. Revenge isn't what you want friendship and acceptance is!" Said Starlight. She could see in Chrysalis face that she felt remorse and she was scared. But then again Starlight could feel the anger and rage building up in her face. It began to pour, the rain droplets bouncing off of each shard of rock. The rain begins to fall so thickly that there is an instant covering of water surrounding the cave. When the flood came the rain fell all the harder, water on water gushing down the unlit streets. In the darkness the gurgles sounding all the louder to the sightless eyes. The flood was no longer just water. It was a twisted vile shape that tore down lives and homes. Its icy teeth bit away at the unprotected hooves that where submerge in its glory. To say it was just a flood would-be horrific and most of all wrong. It was a beast something with no care at all. Something so demonic its surface seemed not to shimmer like the deep oceans but ooze into a dark core, torn to shreds by itself. "We have to get out of here, NOW!" Cried out Applejack. "What about Chrysalis?!" Whispered Fluttershy. "It doesn't matter we have to look out for ourselves right now!" Replied Applejack. "If we don't move, in a couple of minutes we'll become part of this storm and not in a good way! Actually, I don't know how it would be a good thing either way!" "We just have to move, NOW!" Said Rainbow Dash. "I agree, come on everypony!" Exclaimed Twilight. She lifted an injured Starlight on her back and the gang followed her out of the once cave which was now broken and all that was left was raging water and shards of rock and debris. Raging waves roared upward like a horse on hind legs. Twilight gasped as she saw the roaring wave. She could fly nor use her magic the raw shock of the situation dawned upon her. The sounds of the Mane five echoed throughout Twilight's mind. The sounds of their screams were muffled out. The wave prowled over them and soon Twilight and the gang became part of the flood. The wave swallowed them like a bowhead whale. Twilight's eyes soon fluttered shut, then everything went black. Even though she could not see her surroundings she felt so hypnotized and calm. But Twilight felt the acidness yet smoothness of the sand grains. She slowly began to open her eyes but the sand grains rubbed against her fur and eyes. She raised up her hoof to rub her eye but it only made things worse. She looked at the sky, the clouds were a mix of grey and dark grey. The water looked like a bluish-grey. The sand was moist and she felt her hooves sink into the grains like quicksand. She looked around to see the Mane five who were slowly waking up and regaining consciousness. Twilight looked around frantically looking for Starlight. She frowned but Applejack caught onto what vibe Twilight's body language was giving off. She walked towards Twilight and sat next to her. The sound of hoof-steps echoed throughout Twilight and Applejack's ears. They looked behind them and saw The Changeling Queen herself. "What do you want Chrysalis!" Said Twilight lighting up her horn in a battle stance. "And where is Starlight!?" Cried out Applejack. "No need to get aggressive princess," said Chrysalis in a mellow tone. Remorse filled her heart and she felt awful. Twilight realized Chrysalis wasn't here to fight or scream at them she was here because she felt terrible, awful and that something happened to Starlight. "Chrysalis?" Asked Twilight the aura around her horn soon disappeared and the rest of the Mane Six gathered around Chrysalis. "Here." These words sent a chill up Twilight's spine. Chrysalis went into a small rock cavern and pulled out a limp Starlight with her mouth. She dragged her across the sand. Her weight left a trail of sand, the sand grains formed a perfect line. "There." Chrysalis ears flattened and she looked away from the colorful horses. "Starlight?!" Rainbow Dash put a hoof over her mouth. "What did you do to her!" Exclaimed Dash. "I did nothing, I'm the one who saved you from the flood," said Chrysalis lowering her ears. "Wait you saved us?!" Exclaimed Pinkie Pie. "Yes...." Chrysalis glanced over at the ponies, they were just as shocked as she was. "Why?!" Asked Twilight. Chrysalis sighed, what she was about to say would either shock Twilight or make her more bitter towards her. "I am an acrimoniousness creature I don't deserve love or praise but I realized I am not sorry for what I've done. I spent years feeding and being there for my children and it was just taken away from me. But I know that they miss me in their own way that they one day will accept me back into the hive but I don't deserve that. I don't blame Starlight and her gang of misfits they were just trying to save you while I was trying to feed my children. I didn’t come here to fight you or give you an ultimatum. I am not sorry for what I did. Just leave me be I will never change and I want to be left alone for the rest of my days or until I come to my senses." The once queen looked at the ponies there jaws dropped and eyes wide open. Chrysalis scowled in embarrassment. Twilight looked at Chrysalis in fulfillment "Wow, Chrysalis I can't believe that you...." "Awk, don't give that, I don't need your love nor praise as I said just leave me be before I regret this moment!" Snapped Chrysalis. "Fair enough Chrysalis, we will let you be," replied Twilight bowing. Chrysalis raised a brow at the princess in confusion but she liked having someone bow to her even if it wasn't her subjects. Starlight was still lying unconscious on the sand it was barely noticeable that she was breathing. Twilight picked up Starlight and began walking across the barren beach littered with rigid rocks. The rest of the gang followed Twilight. Soon they were on the other side of the beach. Twilight laid Starlight's body on the sand which was now warm and smooth unlike before. The Sun began to peek out of the grey storm clouds, the warm sun rays kissed Starlight's skin lightly, warming her from the inside out. Applejack pressed her ear up against Starlight's chest feeling the warm sun rays hitting her. "She's breathing all right," said Applejack. "Oh, Thank Celestia I thought she was a goner!" Exclaimed Rarity. Starlight slowly began to wake up. Her eyes slowly twitching, small swallow breaths made its way out of her mouth, her hooves slightly twitching. "Twilight~" Starlight slurred her words as if she was drunk but she was just mumbling. Twilight got down on to Starlight's eye level and hugged her even if she wasn't fully conscious yet. Starlight's eyes jolted wide open when she felt Twilight hooves. The Mane Six smiled and they ran to Starlight's aid hugging her tightly. "Starlight!!" Cried out Twilight tightly squeezing her. "Twilight?" Starlight felt a wave of nausea overcome her, she rubbed her temple with her hooves. "What happened?" Starlight's eyes widened as she looked around frantically for Chrysalis. "CHRYSALIS! Where is..." Twilight looked at Starlight with stars in her eyes, the sound of Starlight's voice began to fade but she could hear her heartbeat, it got louder and louder. Twilight realized she loved the mare. The thumping of her heart made Twilight anxious and inpatient she wanted to move in. And so she did. It wasn’t like one of those close-mouthed kisses like you do when you’re in eighth grade. The way their lips fit like two puzzle pieces. The way she relented as Twilight played with her mane and held her tighter and tighter. When they broke away from the kiss Starlight looked at Twilight. The rest of The Mane Six followed Rainbow Dash. They all hid behind a rock in the distant. "Well, I guess Twilight did indeed have feelings for Starlight!" Said Pinkie Pie. "Well it was certainly unexpected," Said Rarity. "Well, it was definitely called for," said Applejack. "For you," Replied Rarity. "I mean I have to agree with Applejack here," Said Rainbow Dash "Come on y'all wasn't it obvious?" Said Applejack. "Yea," said Rainbow Dash. "I guess," said Pinkie. "Not really", said Rarity. "No", said Fluttershy. There was some awkward silence for a bit but it was broke by Rainbow Dash. "I remember seeing Twilight and Starlight out at the park having a tea party!" "Seeing or Spying?" Asked Applejack. "I was not spying!!" Replied Dash. "Uh huh like you don't spy on your own fan club!" Exclaimed Applejack. "Wha- uh I do not spy on Scootaloos fan club! "Sure ya don't!" Said Applejack rolling her eyes and smirking. The two mares stood face to face growling at each other. "I don' t mean to ruin this uh moment but how are we going to defeat Grogar? We don't necessarily have a plan I hope you guys haven't forgotten about that?" Said Fluttershy. Suddenly Twilight appeared on top of the rock alongside Starlight. "Don't worry everypony I have a plan!!!" Author's Note Again I apologize for not updating this cringefest of a story hahaha. "So we'll move out tomorrow early so it's best to get some shut-eye early today but I will ask Chrysalis for some help and info on Grogar and how to infiltrate the castle without being seen and not causing a scene," said Twilight. "Alright y'all you heard Twi let's get ready and bunker down for the night!" Said Applejack. The six ponies followed Applejack into this small cave. The cave was like a mouth of impenetrable blackness, as they stepped in they watched their shadows dissolve into the surrounding darkness. It was dank and the only sound was the dripping water. Meanwhile Twilight went over to Chrysalis to ask her to help. "Hey Chrysalis I was wondering if you-" "Whatever your asking my answer is no!" Snapped the bug queen. Twilight sighed in frustration and annoyance, "I was going to say that if I could have some info on Grogar and what would be the best strategy to get into the castle undetected." "Hmph, fine well for starters Grogar is a legendary tyrant that declared himself ruler of ancient Equestria. He's a powerful mage with incredible power! He gave Tirek raw strength and power with a little yellow orb. Also, me, Tirek, and Cozy retrieved his bewitching bell but kept it from him. Until he found out by Cozy's ignorance and plain stupidity so Grogar cast us out. I barely escaped with my life! Unfortunately for Cozy, she was captured and I have no idea where Tirek is or where he went!" Said Chrysalis. "Wow! Well does that mean you will help-" "No! I gave you more insight on Grogar now leave me alone!" Replied Chrysalis "Okay fair enough but do you know how to sneak into the Canterlot Castle without being undetected! SInce well you have, experience," said Twilight frowning. "Well, the only way is if you were a changeling but I have no idea how'd you get in undetected, to be honest! You would have to go around the back of the castle or sneak in through the sewer. Also, the guards have been brainwashed so they may look normal but they have been corrupted by Grogar's magic. There I told you now if you don't mind me asking for the second time, LEAVE ME ALONE!" Exclaimed Chrysalis. "Alright alright! Jeez okay but you are welcome to join us int defeating Grogar!" Smiled Twilight. "Yeah, I'd rather stay here, although it would be nice to see you guys get obliterated by Grogar but... yeah I'm just gonna stay here!" Said Chrysalis giving Twilight a smug look. "Alright fine, bye Chrysalis," said Twilight before walking back to the campsite. Once Twilight got back the seven ponies cocooned themselves into a fetal position feeling the rock beneath their hooves. "So what did Chrysalis say?" Asked Fluttershy. Twilight lightly sighed, "She gave me more insight on Grogar and told me some suggestions on how to get into the Canterlot Castle." "So, how is this Grogar guy?!" Asked Rainbow Dash Twilight sighed once again from exhaustion. "So apparently Grogar is a legendary tyrant that declared himself ruler of ancient Equestria. He's a powerful mage with incredible power! She told me she gave Tirek some magic to make him stronger and more intimidating. She also told me that her, Tirek and Cozy stole one of his powerful items called the bewitching bell. But Grogar found out that they hid the artifact from him and he cast them out. Lucky for Chrysalis she got out safe but Tirek is nowhere to be found and Cozy Glow was captured. Also, the guards have been brainwashed and the best way to get into the castle undetected is through the sewer or behind the castle." "Awk we have to go through the icky sewer!" Complained Rarity. "It might be are the safest option!" Said Twilight. "Ah well if it's for the fate of Equestria then I'm willing to do it!" Replied Rarity. "Well, y'all we should all really hit the hay!" Said Applejack. "Yah *yawn* I agree," said Rainbow Dash plopping down next to Pinkie Pie's tail using it as a pillow. Twilight sat next to Starlight. Starlight lightly rubbed her body against Twilights. Twilight's fur was like a pillow to Starlight, well a breathing pillow at that. Twilight wrapped her wing around her once enemy and student. Twilights wing acted as a blanket to Starlight. Starlight nudged her muzzle against Twilights. Twilight lightly blushed, she in return gave Starlight a kiss on the cheek. Applejack, a few feet away from the two fillyfoolers could hear them purring to each other like cats. She rolled her eyes and placed her hat over her face and slowly drifted off to sleep. "Where am I?" Starlight hastily looked around looking for Twilight. "Twi? Babe? Where are you!" Starlight quickly whirled around to find... herself? But this wasn't her? Her mane was different, a set of bangs slightly covered each eye. An evil grin spread throughout her face. Starlight stepped back in terror. "Get away from me, y-y-you you MONSTER!!" The scenery that was once an inky void changed into Cloudsdale. Starlight looked around at her surroundings she looked at her evil counterpart. "Look," said evil Starlight. Twilight held her hoof out to Starlight but instead of Starlight accepting her hoof she slapped it and growled like a dog. Starlight charged up her horn and fired at Twilight and Spike which caused them to faze right threw the clouds. They screamed in agony as they fell to their death. Starlight's eyes widened, once that first tear broke free, the rest followed in an unbroken stream. "NO!" She screamed but evil Starlight put a hoof over her chest stopping her from moving. The scenery changed once again, it changed back into the inky blackness. Evil Starlight glared at Starlight before disappearing. A depressed yet furious Twilight walked up to Starlight, with pure rage in her eyes. "How could you!" Stammered Twilight. "Pardon me?!" Said Starlight. Starlight backed up lowering her head and raising her back in the air as if she was about to pounce on something. "I gave you friendship and acceptance when nopony did, then I loved you, I thought you were the one for me! But instead, you used me for your own personal gain, you haven't changed one-bit Starlight Glimmer. I should've just sent you to Tartarus!" Yelled Twilight. Tears upon tears flowed heavily down Starlight's eyes. "B-B-Babe I..." "Don't call me babe Starlight," interrupted Twilight. "I should've never given you a second chance because all you villains use it to your advantage so you can abuse and manipulate us!" Shouted Twilight. "T-T-Twilight I'm so confused?!" Stuttered Starlight. "So am I Starlight, so am I," Twilight turned around and walked slowly back into the inky void. "Twilight wait!" Said Starlight. Twilight turned around and stared at a frighten and remorseful Starlight. "What do you want Starlight Glimmer!" Exclaimed Twilight. "Please at least give me a chance to explain myself, I-I mean I am still really confused and if you could give me more detail I'm sure..." "No, I don't wanna hear it Starlight! I don't think we should be friends anymore Starlight," said Twilight. Those words shattered Starlight's heart, panic starts to set in and her muscles tensed up, Starlight began to gag, Her remaining thread of strength and hope frayed before breaking completely, sending her plummeting over the edge and into the darkness. Hysterical sobs shook her thin frame, threatening to tear her apart from the inside. She fought to reclaim control over her body, shocked by the sounds escaping from deep within her chest. "I knew this wouldn't last hahaha!" Said Starlight. "I'm a lost cause, I was better off before Twilight and her friends came to my village! They ruined everything and I thought that friendship could redeem me?!" Snapped Starlight. A swarm of mixed emotions plagued Starlight's mind. Anger boiled deep in her system, as hot as lava. It churned within, hungry for destruction, and she knew it was too much for her to handle. The anger turned into sadness and regret. Starlight bent forward she began to weep with the force of a person vomiting on all fours. "I hate myself." Starlight woke up panting heavily as all of the Mane Six stared at her. She felt embarrassed and covered herself up with Twilight's wing. Her eyes shifted to the side again and became glazed with a glossy layer of tears. As she blinked, they dripped from her eyelids and slid down her cheeks. She bit her lip tightly in an attempt to hide any sound that wanted to escape from her mouth. "Starlight? Baby, please tell me what's the matter!?" Said Twilight in a soft voice. Everypony looked concerned. Starlight lightly pushed Twilight's wing to the side and lightly mumbled, "I-I-It was just a nightmare." "What was that babe? I couldn't hear you?" Asked Twilight. "I-I just had a nightmare its nothing serious," said Starlight hoping she would not get caught for lying. "Sugarcube we all heard you scream and moan and Twilight tried to wake you up but you wouldn't stop crying. So don't tell me nothing is wrong or that it's not a big deal!" Exclaimed Applejack. "I'm sorry I just wanna go back to sleep right now we can talk about it in the morning or...." Starlight plopped down on Twilight's hoof and fell right asleep. Applejack looked at the girls with even more concern, "Twilight I really think you should talk to her about it in the morning, it doesn't look like she's very comfortable with telling us," whispered Applejack trying not to wake up Starlight. Twilight gave Applejack a stern look and nodded. She kissed Starlight on the cheek and whispered "goodnight Glimmer" and in a couple of minutes Twilight was fast asleep and so was everypony else. Twilight woke up the gang extra early according to her plan. But Starlight wouldn't wake up. "Sparkle ugh go away," said Starlight waving her hoof in the air, she was unaware where she was waving her hoof. Her eyes were closed shut and she wouldn't get up. "Alright you're going to get up no matter what Starlight," said Twilight. Twilight lightly shoved Starlight from the behind causing her to drift across the hard rocky floor. Starlight lightly chuckled as she was amused at Twilight's method for waking her up. "Good morning Twi!" Said Applejack. "I finally got this sleepy head up, well at least she's out of the cave but uh it looks like everypony is half asleep also," said Twilight. Applejack had set up a small fire and was cooking some eggs Chrysalis had brought them. "Chrysalis was nice enough to bring us some eggs! But oh I hope no creature got hurt," Said Fluttershy bitting the tip of her hoof. It took a while for Starlight to wake up but when she did she was up and ready! "Ahh your finally up eh?" Said Twilight nudging Starlight. "Hey you can't blame me I had a pretty rough night," replied Starlight. "Speaking of that, what happened?" Asked Twilight eager for an answer. "I uh had a nightmare where I was watching the moment where you truly gave me acceptance and friendship and instead of grabbing your hoof and accepting friendship I slapped you hoof and I uh killed you and Spike. Then you walked up to me in this black inky void like place and said you didn't love me and we should be friends or lovers anymore and that I used you for my own personal gain! And then I went crazy and that's when I woke up to y'all staring at me!" Said Starlight. Her ears dropped down and sighed heavily. "Star I... I can't imagine myself ever saying those things and you never have and hopefully never will use me!" Twilight chuckled and so did Starlight. "You have improved and I am proud of you for that sweetie! I understand it was a nightmare but do you have these often? Like having nightmares about what if's of your past or just your past haunting you!" Asked Twilight. "I'd admit I do have these nightmares frequently but this one was like a lucid dream or something I felt like I was actually there but I couldn't control anything except my emotions I guess?" Said Starlight. Twilight looked at her marefriend seeing she was truly disturbed and upset by these plaguing nightmares. "Mmhmm well let's get our stuff ready and let's move out!" Exclaimed Applejack. All seven ponies packed up, Queen Chrysalis watched them in the distance. "Good luck!" She whispered before laying her head down and falling asleep.
