Trap of the Emerald Chain Snake

Last we saw Shadow, he ran to the nurse’s office to save Flash from a guy named Rat, but as soon as he got there a shiny emerald colored snake pop out right to Shadow’s head. He probably would have snake bites on his face if Star Crimson hadn’t punch the snake in the sending it crashing on the floor.

“Well, that was a snaky welcome if I ever saw one.” Shadow joked as he looks at the mohawk guy clinching onto his head as it bleeds a little.

“Damn, I was hoping to get you on the first strike, but it looks like that goes to you.” Rat chuckled as he ignores the pain a little.

Shadow looks around the room trying to find Flash and his bandmates.

“If you’re looking for that blue hair idiot, he’s right here with company.” Rat pulled the curtain to the side revealing Flash and his bandmates are laying on the same bed and they are glowing green from the veins.

“The fuck did you do to them?” Shadow demanded.

“Don’t worry, they’re still alive… for the moment. I just gave them a little taste of my Stand, Emerald Chain Snake’s venom to give you a reason to take me seriously.” Rat smirked as his snake Stand comes to him showing the rest of its body is all chain with a sharp blade for a tail.

“The venom is very deadly and the only way to cure is to either force me to command it to disappear from the victims’ bodies or knock me unconscious which you’ll find both will be very hard to do.” Rat bragged about his power.

“Is that right, then I hope you like waking up in a body bag.” Shadow taunted as he got Star Crimson ready for battle.

“Idiot, that should be my line!” Rat shouted as Emerald Chain Snake hisses of its User’s rage.

(Music: A Demon’s Fate, Within Temptation)

The battle starts with Rat’s Stand charging at his opponent and Star Crimson charges as well throwing a mighty punch at the snake, but Emerald Chain Snake was able to dodge the strike and leap at the face to bite on it. Star Crimson reacted faster by leaning itself backward and the tail wraps around the mouth closing it tight, the monkey-fist Stand threw the snake Stand to the right though it was able to land its body on the wall to act like a spring to launch at the prey. Once again, Star Crimson punch the snake on the head sending it back a few feet and Rat groans in pain from the strike reflect on him, but he smiles evilly for some reason.

“What’s wrong? That punch felt a little weaker than the first one, are you getting sloppy?” Rat asked in a mocking tone.

“I’ll show you sloppy.” Shadow glared.

“OZAOZAOZAOZAOZAOZAOZA” Star Crimson unleashed a red barrage of fast punches at the snake Stand.

However, none of the punches were able to make contact on Emerald Chain Snake as seems to move its body reacts faster than Star Crimson can throw its punches and the snake Stand slash at the face as Star Crimson barely dodges that tail-blade with only a small cut on Shadow’s left cheek.

“Okay, this just turn strange.” Shadow said to himself.

Shadow continues to have Star Crimson attack the enemy Stand with its punches and some kicks too, but he started to notice that somehow either the snake Stand is starting to move fast than it was before or his Stand actually the one being slow right now. He will have to keep his eyes focus on the battle just to be sure.

“Come on, this is no fun if you don’t give it your all!” Rat laughed insanely.

“(This guy is definitely up to something, he bragged about the deadly venom and he just attack me crazy though I’m getting the feeling there’s more to this than he lets on.)” Shadow thought wondered what this guy is scheming.

Star Crimson goes up a little to the ceiling and drop a strong axe-drop to the snake Stand though the foot hit the floor creating some small crack around it, then Emerald Chain Snake starts thrusting its head rapidly to strike at the monkey fighter Stand as it dodges the attacks and try to counterattack. That attack made a connection to the chin though it would seem the snake Stand didn’t take as much damage as it does before, almost like there wasn’t enough force behind that punch as it should be.

That is when Shadow knew something was up and saw Star Crimson threw an uppercut that Emerald Chain Snake dodge with only tiny chunks of its head broke off that Shadow saw his Stand’s arm wrap in chain.

“Is that… a piece of chain from your Stand?” Shadow asked.

“Oh, so you finally notice it. Took you long enough to see the chains on your Stand before you die!” Rat smirked as Emerald Chain Snake slashes at Star Crimson on the chest causing Shadow’s chest to bleed.

“Those are indeed Emerald Chain Snake’s chain from its own body. It’s been wrapping those chains on your Stand’s arms throughout the battle.” Rat revealed.

(Flashback)

“Right from the very start when you open the door and struck Emerald Chain Snake.” Rat said.

When Emerald Chain Snake was first attacked by Star Crimson, the bottom part of its body quickly moves to that arm wrapping its tail only once and the chain came off as the blade pop off and back on the snake Stand. Then more imagines show the chains from the slithering reptile Stand have secretly wrap more chains on the arms whenever the red monkey Stand throw its punches.

Meanwhile Rat just smirks knowing that his trap will be taking effect very soon and looking forward to seeing the fear in Shadow’s eyes.

“And those chains are special too.” Rat mentioned.

(Flashback End)

“You see, whenever something or someone gets caught in Emerald Chain Snake’s grip, they would start to feel like they’re slowing down for some reason and the reason is because the chains are sapping away the speed in you. Each chain wrap on my prey loses some of their speed, and the more chains they have from my Stand the more speed they will lose, making them helpless like pathetic turtles about to become soup.” Rat explained about his Stand’s other ability.

“I always love enjoying my prey trying to run away so desperately while I just walk up to them and kill them with the venom.” Rat laughed again, remembering all the kill he made for some time.

“I see, all this time I thought your Stand is get faster but it’s actually my Stand becoming slower.” Shadow realized.

“That’s right and there is nothing you can do about it as you will be slower more the longer those chains are on your Stand, this is why snakes are the Ultimate Predator!” Rat yelled as Emerald Chain Snake slithering on its master and hiss at Shadow.

“Tell me, how long does your venom take hold of Flash and his band?” Shadow asked curiously.

“What good is telling you that since you’re about die. But I guess it wouldn’t hurt to tell you.” Rat chuckled insanely.

“Thirteen minutes, that’s how long they have to live before the venom kills them off to Hell and you’ll be joining them soon!” Rat shouted.

Emerald Chain Snake lunges at Shadow a little faster than a normal snake strike and open its mouth wide to get the fangs into Shadow’s flesh, but Star Crimson quickly got between them and uses its arm to let the snake Stand bite on its which Shadow felt the pain from his own arm too. Then he pulls up the sleeve of his jacket seeing the green glow on his veins though this is less than the glowing on Flash and his bandmates’ bodies spreading.

“HAHAHAHAHAHA! Did you really think that your Stand can protect you from my venom?” Rat asked sarcastically while laughing hard.

“The venom can work on a Stand too, and now you’ll be just like those boys which they got the venom earlier and they only have seven minutes left.” Rat pointed at the clock.

“You better hurry and stop me quickly otherwise the teachers will be finding fresh dead bodies in here.” Rat taunted like a madman.

“Well then, I better kick the living mother-fucker out of you and stop the poison!” Shadow determined as Star Crimson charges at the enemy with its fist tighten.

“Fool, I already told you that your speed is now worthless as long as you have those chains on.” Rat reminded, thinking this kid is an idiot for wanting to continue this fight.

“All you’ll do is punch the air when my Stand dodge and attack again.” Rat bragged.

Rat watches the slowed-down red Stand about to throw the punch at his own Stand expected to be easy to dodge it again, but just as Emerald Chain Snake was about to move its head to the side to let the punch fly past it, Star Crimson actually landed a hit on the snake Stand sending it crashing on the wall and Rat to gasp in pain as his head bleeds.

“Oh, look at that. I managed to land a solid hit on your damn snake.” Shadow smirked.

“Fuck! That seriously hurt!” Rat winched in rage.

“You just got lucky with that punch. I was just distracted by my upcoming victory.” Rat believed and his Stand ready to attack again.

“Now kill him, Emerald Chain Snake! Gem Poison Bite” Rat commanded and Emerald Chain Snake charges at Shadow and his Stand about to throw another punch.

And just like before, Star Crimson lands another strong hit on the snake Stand as it tries to move around the red monkey Stand though it manages to react on time when Emerald Chain Snake leaps in the attack and punch it some more.

“What the fuck is going on? You shouldn’t be able to hit my snake Stand with your speed being very low by now. Each chain wrap on you decreases your speed by 5%, you got eight on and that would make it 40%, so how in the fucking hell are you still moving so fast?!” Rat angered of this confusion.

“So, I take it you never study about how fast my Stand can move then that’s going to be your downfall.” Shadow tilted his hat over his eyes.

“The fuck did you say?” Rat asked angry.

“Yare yare daze, even smart enough to know about its prey.” Shadow sighed.

“You should have been more prepared because now you’re biting off more than you can swallow, my Stand’s top speed is about 670,616,629 miles per hour, the exact numbers for the speed of light.” Shadow revealed causing Rat to gasp.

“Wh-What?! The speed of light?! That can’t be true, there is only one guy I know who can move that fast and he’s the with the strongest Stand!” Rat screamed, refusing to believe his Stand can move that fast.

“So, you’re actually working for someone if you’re here with the Battle of the Band still going on. That means you and whoever else is with you are working with the Dazzlings to take over the school.” Shadow figured him out. Knowing Star Crimson still has plenty of speed left to attack the bastard.

(Music End)

Rat gasped even more now that his intentions of being at this school has been exposed by this tall punk thinking he is so much smarter than him, and that pisses him off even more as he grinds his teeth and glares viciously at Shadow.

“So, what, you finding out those siren bitches are working with Stand User isn’t going to change anything. Those girls are only going to be pawns for my boss as he has big plans of his own.” Rat smack talked.

“Those stupid girls are very unfortunate that we can’t be controlled by their stupid singing, that just give us more excuse to play with them until they serve their purpose.” Rat smirked.

Shadow just went silent upon hearing that Rat and his ‘buddies’ are just using the Dazzlings for their own purposes like they plan on making them slaves until they are no use to them anymore, this have made his blood boil and his eyes filling with rage as he glares back at Rat causing him to flinch back a little.

“What’s with that look? Don’t tell me you actually care for those stupid girls since they’re suppose to be your enemies too.” Rat pointed out.

“Who knows, I have been feeling weird in my heart whenever I start thinking about them. But right now, you saying that those girls are nothing but tools for you to play with, that have really set ablaze in me.” Shadow stated angry.

“And now, you’re going to feel the full force of my Stand!” Shadow declared as Star Crimson shouts “OZA”.

“If I didn’t know any better, I say you might actually fall for them. Too bad you won’t be around to even tell them that.” Rat smirked.

“Now, Emerald Chain Snake, unleash your Mini-Emeralds!” Rat ordered and Emerald Chain Snake hisses like a roar and small green glows appear on the small.

“Those shards.” Shadow noticed.

“That’s right, those are the shards your Stand chipped from my snake when it was punched. I’m sure you heard some stories about people finding tons of snakes in one place, this ability allows me to make more of my Stand though they maybe smaller than the original, they are just as deadly.” Rat explained as the shards start turning into mini versions of Emerald Chain Snake and turn their sight at Shadow as he can count at least forty of them, including the big one being 41.

“You just found yourself trap in a snake pit! And there’s nothing you can do about it! DIE!” Rat shouted as all the mini snake Stands and the original charges at Shadow.

“Sorry, but this is one prey you won’t be claiming today.” Shadow said sliding his finger on his hat.

On its User’s thought, Star Crimson grabbed two of the mini-snake Stand turning them into makeshift nun-chucks and start swinging them around like a crazy kung-fu master smashing the other mini snake Stands away all at once as they all shattered into tiny pieces from the impact. One mini snake Stand flew past Rat’s face and shatter when it hit the window behind him, Rat couldn’t believe that Shadow managed to take out his little snakes just like that.

“Damn it, who do you think you are? Bruce Lee?” Rat shouted in rage.

“Well, I’ve always been a fan of the guy and sad that his career ended at a young age. So, I think do something to honor him by.” Shadow announced Star Crimson wrap the two little snake Stands on Emerald Chain Snake.

“No, no, no, this wasn’t supposed to happen. I’m the predator hunting the prey, you should be dead at my feet!” Rat refused to believe this.

“Sorry, you should know better that even a little snake like you is preyed by the might this ape!” Shadow shouted determine.

Star Crimson pull Emerald Chain Snake right toward itself as there was nothing Rat could do to stop what’s about to come next, and Shadow’s Stand threw down a punch right on top of the head pushing the snake Stand down on the ground making its head and floor beneath it crack. This cause Rat to scream in pain for a second or two as blood gushes out from his head and his eyes turn white for he has fallen unconscious.

“You know, I don’t think you would look good as a purse.” Shadow commented and saw the veins glowing green is disappearing on him and Flash’s band.

“At least no one died, but that doesn’t mean things are going to be calm now.” Shadow said, knowing there are still more enemies to deal with.

Hope you’re all having a great holiday with your everyday life and fanfic stuff! Shadow have fought against Rat and his Stand Emerald Chain Snake as things were getting tough for Shadow, but he never gave up and showed that Star Crimson’s speed isn’t to be underestimated. But he now knows that there are enemy Stand Users plotting something and are using the Dazzlings to do it, Shadow and the Rainbooms will have to be extra careful or else they could fall into a trap.
