//-------------------------------------------------------// Manifest Chaos -by The F8ful 1- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Reflection //-------------------------------------------------------// Reflection I watched the unicorn as he stared in the mirror. He, or should I say Dark Blaze, had a blank look in his dark burgundy eyes. His mane was long and unkempt, though not tangled as it lay in orange and red locks on the floor. The most chilling was his blood red body that was strong and sculpted but not overly so. He felt no pain as he kindled the floor with magic and stamped it out with his hooves. I found my ocean blue body quivering, my cyan and navy mane falling over my navy eyes. I was scared for there was no emotion in his look. "Fire cannot be contained nor can it be consumed" No, there was emotion. A caustic, venomous glint in his eye that betrayed what rested inside. The pony that stared back was pony in body, true, but not in spirit nor mind. The only thing close to the unspurred hate was a lust for chaos in my own soul that no matter how hard I tried to quell, it was not defeated. The silence was deafening, only the hiss of a fire being put out filled the air. "What if that flame was alive? Would you still stamp it out?" I broke the silence keeping all tone and inflection from my voice. "It is alive." He countered instantly "Then why do you kill it?" "Because it does not matter to me." "Why do you kill it?" "To prove that I am not like you." "Why do you need to prove it?" He offered no response and I felt myself choke up. "WHY do YOU need to PROVE it?" I said getting angrier. I began to cry, but I shouted at him "WHY DO YOU NEED TO PROVE IT?" I pressed my red hoof against the mirror, disrupting the illusion my mind had cast. Staring back at me was one cyan eye and one Burgundy eye. Down the middle of my body, where the red met the blue was purple. "Why do I need to prove it?" I cried to myself quietly, my voice hoarse from the yelling. As soggy tears ran down to my chin I felt a third influence not of my creation. It sounded like pure insanity sweetened with chocolate rain. "What a conflicted individual, you are perfect to release me from my stone prison." "No, I'm not. I can't bow down to my chaos inside." I said without my voice quivering or cracking. I put my cyan contact into my red eye causing it to change color to a blue slightly darker than the other eye. I continued to mask who I was, taking on the identity of Cool Wave rather than that of Lavender Spectra. "Don't hide who you are just to get their approval, embrace yourself and your eternal, internal quarrel." Discord spat out perfectly, pronouncing the alliteration with ease. He was in my mind, but I still felt like I was being watched. I left my home, feeling free of my two captors, Dark Blaze and Discord. "I want no end of order, I just want to be normal. Just leave me alone Discord." I thought to myself. "Help me and you shall be known as Chaos. You won't have to hide who you are. I know a fellow spirit of disorder when I see it and no one is more so than you." I looked up at the Summer afternoon sun, squinting my eyes. "Am I just a stepping stone for taking back the throne?" I thought, to which Discord gave no response.
