I hope you all enjoyed it. I would love feedback on it. <3 Prologue: The End of a Human. New York, City Limits. The bitter cold of the rain was cut by the warmth pooling against his hands. He pressed his hand against the wound on her stomach. He was looking around for anything to cover the wounds, as her blood mixed with the rain below her. "It's gonna be ok. It's gonna be ok. Just…just hang on baby. I will get you somewhere. Just hang on. JUST HANG ON PLEASE." He begged the blood soaking through his hand. Her hand rose to the side of his cheek. As her other hand placed the silver locket on top of the hand on her stomach. She smiled at him. Her eyes fighting to stay open. As the rain washed against her silver mane. Her blue fur now covered in the crimson. Her horn faintly glowed her magic was fighting for her just to have a few more seconds with him. “I am sorry….I….I love you.” She muttered out before her eyes finally closed upon her yellow hues. She fell limp in his arms against the water. He shook her gripping onto her shoulders. “NO. NO…NO. COME ON. STAY WITH ME. NO. NO. NO.” He begged as the rain mixed with his tears falling down upon her body. He gritted his teeth before letting out a cry. A wail of sorrow that was drowned out by the roar of thunder in the sky as it was lit by a streak of lightning. “I don’t like being cruel when it comes to this. I am sorry you had to see that.” The agent spoke as rain splashed against the black umbrella above him. The man's head turned slowly from his partner to the agent. He released her onto the ground gently, holding onto the locket. He was a cocktail of emotions when staring at this...MAN. The agent was a human male in a black suit with a red tie. A pale complexion held his face, narrow eyes staring at the young man who stood next to the corpse of his lover. Silver slicked hair was neatly tied in the back forming a small ponytail. The agent let out a sigh before speaking again. "When it comes to this kind of work. I try to be as painless as possible when I can help it. But, she chose her path. Those bullets were meant for you." He uttered as a flash of lightning struck behind the agent casting his shadow over the young man. Tears of both sorrow and rage poured down the young man's face as his fist tighten around the locket in his hand. He couldn't even see straight. He wanted to rush him. Even if he died in a hail of bullets he wanted to at least slug this piece of filth in front of him. The agent turned towards the woman beside him with a small smile. "Ms. Celestia. I think it would be wise for you to finish this. We don't want this all to be a waste if he somehow survives a few bullets." He stated. The alicorn woman closed her eyes taking a deep breath in as she stepped forward. The man in front of his lover's corpse looked over at her. “SHE WAS ONE OF YOU. WHY DID YOU DO THIS?” He screamed over the roaring thunder above. She looked at him with a hint of penitence in her eyes but, it was quickly dashed by her resolve. The man then looked over at the other princess. Twilight his former friend. Who couldn't look him in the eye, she looked down towards the ground. “Don’t let them do this Twilight…” He almost whimpered. “She was your friend too…” He stated. A tear finally broke down Twilight's face as the two soldiers flanking her held their ground. Celestia’s horn began to glow a faint yellow. As she looked towards the young man in front of her. She closed her eyes forcing the words from her lips. “This is for the good of the worlds. The good of every living being on this planet. I am sorry. You can rest well with her.” She murmured out. A flash of yellow rose with her hand in front of her. A golden pentagram appeared in front of it. It was quick, as the spell burned through his chest leaving a smoking crater in his chest. The air escaped his lungs as he looked at both her and Twilight. He wanted to know why, he wanted to know what he had done wrong. Why did he have to die? Why did she have to die? Those questions echoed within his mind as his body went limp falling backward into the pool of rainwater. The rain washed over him as his eyelids grew heavy. The agent turned to Celestia with another soft smile. “You have my thanks. I will make sure the bodies are dealt with.” He explained to her. She nodded at him turning back to Twilight. Whom had fallen to her knees at this point crying into her hands, Celestia put her hand on her shoulder gesturing to the guards they were not needed. “This had to be done. I am sorry.” She spoke softly to her. There was a rumbling as the earth shook violently as the ground spilled apart, the group quickly moved back. Both bodies slid into the open maw of Gaia falling into the black abyss below. The earthquake finally stopped as car alarms could be heard going off in the distance from the aftershocks. "Well, that saves time on a cleanup crew…accidents happen every day." The agent said peering into the dark void below. He could hear them. High pitched rough voices arguing over something. As his eyes blinked awake. He couldn't feel his body, and it was hard to breathe. The rubble was removed from his body. The darkness hid their features from his eyes. "What have you found?" A voice called from the darkness as the light finally filled his vision. Four goblin-like creature surrounded him. They had orange-ish brown skin. They dressed in rags. Two of them were only dressed in loincloths. The other two were different. One looked older than the others. He had grey balding hair, with mutton chops and a goatee. He began to stroke his goatee, slightly moving the crystal on his back that was creating the light down upon the ruined body of the young man. “Hm. My word, what do we have here. A possible candidate, perhaps?” He said. "TOO PURE. TOO PURE. HIS SOUL IS NOT BLACK ENOUGH." One of them chipped in. This was one of the different ones in the pack. He had a strange glass eye and had a jester hat on. "Maybe BUT, I sense a burning hatred in his soul. Malice I have not sensed in quite a while." The older one answered. “Regardless we have some use of him. We will take him to the cauldron! Be quick about it. I don’t want him rotting on the stonework." He exclaimed. The Netherworld, Far below the surface world, deep within the earth’s crust. He was dragged into the chamber his feet bumping against the stairs as his vision went in and out. The older creature led the pack entering a large dome room walking across the blacken stone bridge that hung over a massive boiling pot. A thick black tar bubbled within the green cauldron below. The cauldron was roughly the size of a small football field. The Old one stopped at the very edge of the bridge. He turned towards the young man in the arms of the two other creatures. "Ah good, you're still kicking. Now we have done you a service of not letting you become a rotting pile of maggot food. So you will be aiding us now. This is the Cauldron of Souls. This is where the souls of our fallen lords now rest. They will either accept you or your soul will become a tasty snack for them. It's a win-win either way." He explained with a chuckle as he gesture toward the other two creatures. They threw him over the edge of the bridge right into the cauldron. There was a small splash of tar as his body began to lifelessly sink into the tar. He still clung to the locket in his hand never releasing it even as he sunk within the murk of the tar. There was a pause as old one watched the bubbles began to slowly stop. His grey brow furrowed. “Drat. Another failure.” He muttered. He turned with the group of creatures in front of him. That is when the ground began to tremble. The cauldron shook violently as the old one turned back leaning in towards the tar. As a blackened arm shot out of the tar. The ooze dripped off of it, as the fingers of the arm wrapped around the older one's throat lifting him off the ground. Another arm shot out of the tar placing itself against the edge of the bridge. The locket still wrapped around the palm of his hand. White pupil less eyes glowed as a hairless blacken head came out next. Fangs gnashed against each other as the tar dripped from the mouth of this being. "I will….I WILL….I WILL KILL THEM ALL." A roar escaped the maw of this being. That echoed outward from Netherworld all the way to the surface. Chapter 1: The Overlord is BornAuthor's Note Hey everyone. I know I have not updated any of fanfic in a while but, I wanted to write something and this was stuck in my brain. I would love some feedback. I am also gonna try to write my fic more. PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT. Chapter 1: The Overlord is Born What came from the muck was no longer a man. Skin a pitch-black as if it was midnight. White burning eyes with no pupils and teeth now a sharpen row of fangs. He still gripped onto the elder creature holding him as he dragged his body from the cauldron. Steam was rolling off his body as the other minions stepped backward in fear his shadow casting down upon them as he let out a snarl. His form giving out as his grip loosened as he smashed against the stone bridge his body had grown several feet now a hulking form of muscle. The Elder Minion coughed as he regained his footing rubbing his neck but, quickly pointing at this thing that had dragged itself out of the cauldron. "BRING HIM TO THE CHAMBER OF THE OVERLORD QUICKLY. HE MUST NOT DIE!!" Shouting this as the Minions hoarded around him grabbing at his limbs as they were led by the elder up a spiral staircase of obsidian. They brought him to a chamber with a single pedestal in the center. Upon the top of the pedestal was….a gauntlet. An iron gauntlet with a large gemstone in the middle of it. The minions threw the hulking thing in front of the pedestal. "Sire! Stay with us. I am Gnarl. I am the eldest of the minions. We, Minions, are of a currently dying breed. Designed to follow a leader that will bring a great shadow upon the land. We have waited so very long for you sire! Yet, you're still incomplete. You must dawn the gauntlet yourself we cannot touch it. Your current.....form, cannot handle the chaos energy that has been gifted to you by the cauldron. Without the gauntlet, you will die! QUICKLY SIRE. Think of what they have done to you….let the hatred FLOW." Rubbing his hands together as he watched what the other would do. His vision was blurry unable to focus. Pain racking his whole body yet his eyes did focus on something. The locket in his hand. The flames within burned deep as he clawed at the pedestal before him, dragging himself towards the gauntlet. "YES! YESSSSS!" Gnarl cheered. Reaching towards the gem of the gauntlet, it began to glow. Pulling itself apart the gauntlet began to fuse to his right arm. Green lightning surge throughout his body. A hellish scream of pain was unleashed from his maw. As an iron-like metal began to form around his whole body in a massive suit. Searing to his flesh. A cape shooting out of his back as his screams didn't end. "FINALLY! YES! AN OVERLORD IS BORN!" Gnarl shouted as a burst of green energy exploded from this new Overlord. The magical wave carried outward throughout the Netherworld to the surface… At the same time, somewhere in the heart of Wakanda (Africa)... A secret meeting of the world's greatest minds known as the Illuminati. A secret group of men who helped guide the world towards a better future. A goal they had mostly completed at this point and time. The group is made up of, Charles Xavier (A powerful Mutant who wishes for his kind to co-exist with humans), Tony Stark (Well-known hero, brilliant scientist and wisecracker), Dr. Strange (Former Doctor turned Sorcerer Supreme) Reed Richards (brilliant scientist and leader of the Fantastic Four) and T'Challa (AKA Black Panther, King and Protector of Wakanda) "I think that wraps up today's meeting gentlemen." Strange spoke to the round table shuffling his papers together. "Whelp given how things have been going we may be able to stop our little monthly boy's club meetings." Tony stated, leaning back in his chair. "I may have to agree with Stark for once in my life." T'Challa added arching an eyebrow at the millionaire. "Gentlemen peace is an easy thing to lose. We must stay on guard." Xavier commented pulling his hoverchair from the table. "He's right you know. We have no idea where the next threat could come from." Strange said leaning against the table looking through his notes. "Come on guys. We won. Can we just ya know enjoy it for once? Ms. Marvel is handling any outer world threats. We have thousands of heroes now working the streets. Even the leagues of evil being rooted out as we speak by Cap. What could possibly go wrong now?" Stating these words boldly as if he was challenging fate. The wave would wash over the room. Strange held his head almost falling onto the table. The pull of the magical force that was release was massive. Xavier held his skull in pain gritting his teeth as he felt what emotion was released with this wave of energy. "….Such….such RAGE." Xavier explained holding his skull, a cold sweat upon his brow. Strange turned to Tony out of breath. "You had to open your mouth didn't you?" Meanwhile after an intense United Nations Meeting... Twilight Sparkle (The Princess of Friendship), Celestia (The Princess of Sun) and Luna (The Princess of The Moon) had just walked out into an empty hall heading back to their Kingdom of Equestria. Twilight's head hung low and bags had formed under her eyes. Sleep was not something she had been able to find lately. Celestia stopped in her tracks with Luna already down the steps. Celestia turned to Twilight raising her hand to her chin lifting it upwards. Twilight's eyes were met with a warm smile. "I can take that memory from your mind if you wish. This is not your burden to bear. I did what I felt was best for the world. That is not something that comes without a cost." Explaining this to her student again at this point she had said it a lot after that fated day. Twilight's eyes swelled up again at the thought of that day but, she quickly wiped the tears away. "I know…I don't blame you. I just…wish there had been another way...I just wish there could've been some other way ." She whimpered this out. Celestia hand rose to her student's cheek caressing it. "Ease your mind. We will be home soon. You can spend some time with the girls and it will dull the pain. You may not be able to forget or even accept what happened but, the pain will grow less by each passing day." Smiling at her. Twilight smiled back at her finally as the wave hit them as well. Green sparks surged from their horns as pain pulsed through the three Alicorn's bodies. They fell to their knees. "W-what is this!" Twilight screamed. "DARK MAGIC. SUCH POWERFUL DARK MAGIC." Luna cried "IMPOSSIBLE. HOW? WHO?" Celestia held her horn before her eyes flashed yellow for a moment. A pulse of divine radiance banished the dark magic gripping them. Sharp breaths fell from Celestia's lungs as she looked around seeing no one. Only feeling that deep hatred that came from the magical pulse. Both Luna and Twilight looked towards Celestia. She was searching for an answer she didn't have. Finally standing upwards looking down at Luna. "Sister go back home. Prepare our forces." She turned to Twilight. "Twilight get the girls and the elements of harmony, we may need them." She commanded. Struggling to find her feet Twilight held one of her arms in pain. "What was that?" She asked looking frighten by what she had just felt. "I don't know…I have not felt such darkness in Eons….." There was another pause from her. "I have to warn the heroes and those in power. Please hurry…I fear the worst is upon us." She uttered quickly rushing off leaving her Student and Sister to care for things. She had underestimated something. Something important. EVIL ALWAYS FINDS A WAY. Bonus Chapter 1.5: Prepare The Minions.An inky void surrounded him. Scanning the area around him, he saw her. She was just standing there just a few feet from him. He began to ran towards her yet, no matter how hard he pumped his legs he couldn't get any closer to her. She turns away from him slowly walking in the other direction. "LYRA! LYRA! WAIT PLEASE!" Calling out to her trying to run even faster. Soon he felt something clawing at his legs pulling him under the void. Hands of black tar beginning to drag him into the depths. He reached out for her. That's when he heard the gunshots as the image of her dropped into a pool of her own blood, and what stood over her were the three beings that caused her death. The rage of his soul began to boil over as the claws dragged him under into the inky void as he unleashed a hellish scream. A scream for vengeance. His eyes flashed open to the sight of obsidian. Sitting up from the large bed he was in seeing a mostly empty chamber. He looked over his body covered in grey steel and the gem within the gauntlet was now pulsing with a deep glow. Feeling its power washing over his body yet there was still a small sting of pain. Staring at his right hand still clenching the locket. Rubbing the silver between his metallic fingers. He could still feel its warmth. Opening the locket seeing the picture of Lyra inside of it. A small stain of blood has splashed against the picture. Grinding his teeth at the sight he heard the door to the room open. His stare instantly going up to the door. It was Gnarl entering the room with an excited expression as he saw his master's eyes were finally open. "SIRE! Finally, you have awakened." Overjoyed was his words as he rushed to the bedside. "I wasn't sure you were going to wake at all given how long it has been…" Saying this in a hushed tone looking to the side. The white burning eyes locked onto him as he stood from the bed. Gnarl backed up as the shadow of his Overlord was upon him. His Master's fists tightened. "How…long have I been asleep?" Demanding an answer from the elder. A hard swallow came from Gnarl. Pulling slightly at his collar not making direct eye contact with his new lord. "Well...Sire your body required rest to get used to your new body and…" "HOW LONG?!" His Master roared cutting his words short. "A….a month sire." Giving him a sheepish smile. Fury was the only emotion he had. Raising both tighten fists above his head Gnarl winced at the possible impact as the Overlord roared once more slamming both hands down on his bed cracking both the bed frame in half and crack the floor below it. Heavy breaths leaving his maw. Looking downward at his handy work….he felt for the first time in his life something he had never felt before. STRENGTH. Pure raw strength! He already knew what he had to do. Those who had wronged him wouldn't have another day of peace. "Gnarl. Those creatures with you before…can they fight?" Asking his tone holding a bitter darkness within it. "Yes. My Master, they are Minions. They live only to serve you. But, Sire…." Speaking out again. Quickly turning around to Gnarl his cape blowing out from the speed he turned around, glaring down at the elder thing before him. "I need a weapon! Something to make me stronger." Stating this to the other. "B-but, of course, sire this way. I will take you to the armory." Bowing to him as he led this master down a long hallway to a massive set of iron doors with helms carved into them. Unlocking the door the iron doors slowly opened on their own. Green torches lit by themselves lighting the darkroom. The walls were lined with twisted blacken weapons. Maces, Axes and jagged blades. Gnarl shuffled towards the right side of the room rubbing his hands together with glee as he gestured towards the maces. "These maces are finely crafted by our forge master. They will mash the heads of any half-brained hero who dares stand before you." Letting out a gleeful laugh as the thought crossed his wicked mind. His master scanned the room seeing the lines of weapons across the armory. He needed power. Enough power to break anyone who got in his way. His eyes were drawn to the blade in the center of the room. It was placed into the ground with a small engraving at the base of it. His heavy footfalls found themselves moving towards the blade. Gnarl watched him carefully clearing his throat. "S-sire if you seek a blade we have many deadly ones upon this wall over here." Quickly going over to the wall of blades gesturing towards them. Yet his master didn't even move his eyes from the blade in the ground. The text upon the plaque translated itself as he read it. "Only one who can match my will may draw this blade." Gnarl began to sweat coming over to his new lord. "Sire that….that blade is the blade of the second Overlord. There have been others before you. That blade can only be drawn by someone who can match him. It could…." "Will it make me stronger?" Again his words were cut short by his master. "…." Gnarl paused for a moment. "In theory yes my lord but…" He tried to warn him. Before he could finish both hands gripped the hilt of the blade as this new Overlord began to pull upward on the blade. Sickening flames of green began to lick up the sides of the blade. He roared using all of his strength to pull. Lightning crackled around him, as Gnarl backed away from the sight. "YOU. WILL. BEND. TO. ME!" The Overlord shouted as the blade began to slowly lift upwards as he drew it from the stone. He felt the surge of the might within his body pulsing from the blade. It was a long two-handed blade with green runes across it that we're now coming to life as he held it with one hand. Gnarl fell to his knees at the sight of the blade. He had not seen an Overlord with such raw power in quite some time. The Overlord turned to his servant with a focus in his eyes. "Gnarl. Prepare the Minions. Any of them that can fight. Then….TAKE ME TO THE SURFACE." Chapter 2: The First Conflict.New York, Time Square High Noon. A rumble quickly turned into a quake as the ground exploded outward unleashing a massive jagged black bud of metal that unfolded taking up the majority of Time Square's Center Street. Screaming filled the air as his eyes adjusted to the warming rays of sunlight. Surrounding his feet were his servants….The Minions. Armed with simple clubs there were about thirty of them around his legs. "Sire. Can you hear me?" A familiar voice crept into his mind. "Gnarl?" He answered as his eyes scanned the street the sheep were staring at him, and silence had taken the area. "Indeed Sire! I can speak with you through the gauntlet. Sire…..this may not be the best course of action. Those are our…. I mean your only Minions right now, and…the powers of light are strong." Saying this in a nervous tone. "Are you questioning me Gnarl?" Asking this as he heard the sirens in the distance. "O-of course not! Haha!" Nervously laughing at the question. "Then be silent and watch while I draw out THE VERMIN." Shouting this outward from his mind into the air. At this point, the first responders had arrived on the scene. A dozen or so patrol cars had pulled to the side, Officers leaning against the side of the vehicles with weapons drawn. Over a speakerphone, one of the officers called out. "You are surrounded. Lay down your arms and put your hands behind your head. We will open fire should you resist. If you are from another realm and cannot understand me, we can get you a translator if you come in peace." Saying this as the crowd went quiet waiting for his reply. Peace? Under his helm, a smile crept upon his face at that word. THERE WOULD NEVER BE PEACE AGAIN AS LONG AS HE DREW BREATH. His gauntlet rose towards them as the gem in the center of it began to glow as he would command his Minions. "ATTACK! SLAUGHTER!" The Overlord shouted his warcry. The Minions responded with hellish cackles. As they became blurs of motion racing towards the cops before they could even pull their triggers. Groups of Minions began to push over cars, Beating down Officers and setting their cars ablaze. One brave soul was able to steel himself enough to get off a single bullet. It soared through the air, and impacted the Overlord's chest. He didn't even feel it hit him. As it impacted his armor the bullet would be crushed as it bounced off him. The Overlord glared down at the bullet. He still remembered the sting of the lead in his flesh from that night. It started small, then began to build. Laughter from his throat, a true joy for the first time since he became this….THING. Nothing would stop him now. Unknown to him one of the police officers was currently on the radio with command. "We're being overrun! SEND HEROES. WE NEED….AHHHHHHHHH!" Screaming as one of the Minion bashed his skull into the side of his car cracking it open like an egg. He wasn't doing anything and already…the carnage around him was…beautiful. The screaming, the flames it was all to get their attention. He just needed to draw them out. Then he would have what he most desired. Looking downward at the Silver locket around his neck his expression soften. "Soon….soon I will make them pay for taking your light away from me. I will show them the shadow they have created." Uttering this to himself as a woman in the crowd called something out that caught his attention. "IT'S MIGHTY AND HIS SQUAD. THE HEROES ARE HERE." She shouted as the rest of the crowd seem to join in cheering. "IT'S THE BOMBER SQUADRON!" Another shouted as the crowd's fear turned to cheer. He knew these beings. When he was still a man they were a famous group of superheroes from the Heroes Association. A five-man group. He could pick them out by name and rank. Heavy Tank Loincloth. Class-A, Rank 5. A behemoth of a man even if he was in his middle-age. He was the cockiest of the group always showing off his muscles. Chain'n'toad. Class-A, Rank 36. A man who dawns a toad mask hiding his face while wearing a karate outfit. While his appearance may be odd his strength with his Kusarigama (Sickle and chain) is unmatched. Smile Man. Class-A, Rank 27. A younger male with lean muscles wearing a skin-tight red-body suit with a smiley face on it. He wields a massive kendama (Japanese wooden toy that is a hammer with a ball attached to the side of it.) Feather. Class-A, Rank 34. The pretty boy of the group only matched in terms of female fans by the leader of this group. A skinny male who's attire consist of a revealing top that shows off his abdomen and has cuts down the sides that are clipped together with a thin strip of fabric. He also dons a white cape attached to a triple shelled shoulder pad on his right shoulder and a woolly covering on his left. He finishes his attire with two belts that wrap around his waist and a black choker. Finally, the Leader of this group. Mighty, the Bomber. Class-S, Rank 17. A small younger looking male wearing a skin-tight one-piece white suit with a popped collar. His hair was a dark brown a bit shaggy looking yet, his eyes were a deep clear blue almost like an ocean. Mighty was the only one he knew about in depth. He was from an Alien race known as the Bombers. He was a pillar of peace within the hero community one of the few S-classes that was liked by both the public and other heroes. Thinking back on this fact something within his soul began to stir. A smirk crawled over his face as the group approached. He would bring down this symbol of peace…all of the symbols of peace if he had too. They protected the monsters of the world and allowed this twisted greater good to exist. Even if they were unaware of it, they were supposed to be heroes. In this Overlord's eyes if they got in his way they were no better than the people who took everything from him. "Woo…we may have something more than a bank robber this time. A few little…things being commanded by Mister Edge lord in the back." Feather commented as the group walked forward. "They killed some of the officers and some of them are wounded. We need to try to save who we can. He's got some spirit to just attack in broad daylight. I will at least give him that." Toad added readying his weapon. The Overlord's eyes locked with Mighty's eyes. He could feel the strength from this hero yet, it only seemed to cause the stirring in his soul to quicken. His hand tightened around his blade. Tank caught the look and smirked. Pushing off the earth cracking it slightly as he covered the distance between the Overlord and himself quickly shouting back. "You won't be getting the kill this time Mighty." "WAIT TANK WE DON'T KNOW WHAT HE CAN DO." Mighty tried to call out to him yet, it fell on deaf ears. Tank jumped over the row of cars bypassing the Minions and cops they were attacking. Landing squarely in front of the Overlord. Arms crossed over his chest looking up at the other. "Hoho you're a big one but, I am a Class-A. THE UNDEFEATABLE HEAVY TANK LOINCLOTH. You've scared these people enough I will make sure you are begging for their forgiveness when this is all said and done." Shouting this loud enough for everyone around to hear. The crowd of people cheered as they began to pull out their phones to record what they thought would be a hero in action. Some were chanting his name as he began to flex for them. It was as if the blade in his hand acted by itself, guided by a hunger for blood. His arm became a blur as his sword cut through the hero's neck in a single stroke. Cutting through the bone, muscle and flesh felt like cutting through butter with this blade. The crowd went silent as his head rolled from his muscular body. The bloody stump that was now his neck began to shoot blood into the air as his arms swung out in a death throw before his body fell limp on the ground. The cheering had become a horrified scream of panic as the crowd of people were rushing to get away from the danger. People were knocking each other over in the frenzy. Yet for the Overlord everything was silent as he stared down at the body of this hero. He felt nothing. Nothing at all. No regret or remorse. There was even a small amount of pride swelling up inside of him from his handy work. The Overlord looked back upwards towards the rest of the heroes, locking eyes with Mighty once more. Smiling from ear to ear. If he destroyed one of these pillars of peace they wouldn't be able to ignore him. "TANK!!! YOU BASTARD!" Feather cried out almost rushing in as he was stopped by a hand to his chest. "All of you focus on getting the bystanders out of here. I will keep him busy. Call for reinforcements! NOW!" Mighty commanded as he sprinted off the ground towards the Overlord. At this point, the Minions were beginning to spread out from the cops attacking innocents that fell from the horde of people running away. Mighty became naked to the human eyes from a sonic boom from his movements. He was much faster than the other hero. His helm activated covering his head and his mouth only exposing the eyes. A yellow V headpiece adorned the top of his helm. In the Overlord's eyes he could still keep up with this level of speed but, Mighty was a little blurry. The Overlord raised his sword once more itching for more conflict. Yet his eyes were met with a flash of light launched from Mighty's hand. There was a deafening sound from the release of light that stunned him for a moment. Mighty pushed off the ground backflipping over the Overlord his hand stretched forward once more shooting something out again. That then exploded against the Overlord's back. He actually felt a small sting from the explosion as smoke now rolled off his back. Mighty landed gracefully on top of one of the street lamps looking down at the Overlord who had now turned around with a growl. "I am your opponent! Your fight is with me. No one else." Mighty shouted. "Opponent? ALL I SEE IS A DEAD MAN." He roared back. Next time, THE OVERLORD VS. THE MIGHTY BOMBER. Chapter 3: The Bomber Vs The OverlordSomething has gone wrong. Prologue: The End of a Human.Author's Note This my last new storyline until I finish any of my other stories. I hope you all enjoyed it. I would love feedback on it. <3 Prologue: The End of a Human. New York, City Limits. The bitter cold of the rain was cut by the warmth pooling against his hands. He pressed his hand against the wound on her stomach. He was looking around for anything to cover the wounds, as her blood mixed with the rain below her. "It's gonna be ok. It's gonna be ok. Just…just hang on baby. I will get you somewhere. Just hang on. JUST HANG ON PLEASE." He begged the blood soaking through his hand. Her hand rose to the side of his cheek. As her other hand placed the silver locket on top of the hand on her stomach. She smiled at him. Her eyes fighting to stay open. As the rain washed against her silver mane. Her blue fur now covered in the crimson. Her horn faintly glowed her magic was fighting for her just to have a few more seconds with him. “I am sorry….I….I love you.” She muttered out before her eyes finally closed upon her yellow hues. She fell limp in his arms against the water. He shook her gripping onto her shoulders. “NO. NO…NO. COME ON. STAY WITH ME. NO. NO. NO.” He begged as the rain mixed with his tears falling down upon her body. He gritted his teeth before letting out a cry. A wail of sorrow that was drowned out by the roar of thunder in the sky as it was lit by a streak of lightning. “I don’t like being cruel when it comes to this. I am sorry you had to see that.” The agent spoke as rain splashed against the black umbrella above him. The man's head turned slowly from his partner to the agent. He released her onto the ground gently, holding onto the locket. He was a cocktail of emotions when staring at this...MAN. The agent was a human male in a black suit with a red tie. A pale complexion held his face, narrow eyes staring at the young man who stood next to the corpse of his lover. Silver slicked hair was neatly tied in the back forming a small ponytail. The agent let out a sigh before speaking again. "When it comes to this kind of work. I try to be as painless as possible when I can help it. But, she chose her path. Those bullets were meant for you." He uttered as a flash of lightning struck behind the agent casting his shadow over the young man. Tears of both sorrow and rage poured down the young man's face as his fist tighten around the locket in his hand. He couldn't even see straight. He wanted to rush him. Even if he died in a hail of bullets he wanted to at least slug this piece of filth in front of him. The agent turned towards the woman beside him with a small smile. "Ms. Celestia. I think it would be wise for you to finish this. We don't want this all to be a waste if he somehow survives a few bullets." He stated. The alicorn woman closed her eyes taking a deep breath in as she stepped forward. The man in front of his lover's corpse looked over at her. “SHE WAS ONE OF YOU. WHY DID YOU DO THIS?” He screamed over the roaring thunder above. She looked at him with a hint of penitence in her eyes but, it was quickly dashed by her resolve. The man then looked over at the other princess. Twilight his former friend. Who couldn't look him in the eye, she looked down towards the ground. “Don’t let them do this Twilight…” He almost whimpered. “She was your friend too…” He stated. A tear finally broke down Twilight's face as the two soldiers flanking her held their ground. Celestia’s horn began to glow a faint yellow. As she looked towards the young man in front of her. She closed her eyes forcing the words from her lips. “This is for the good of the worlds. The good of every living being on this planet. I am sorry. You can rest well with her.” She murmured out. A flash of yellow rose with her hand in front of her. A golden pentagram appeared in front of it. It was quick, as the spell burned through his chest leaving a smoking crater in his chest. The air escaped his lungs as he looked at both her and Twilight. He wanted to know why, he wanted to know what he had done wrong. Why did he have to die? Why did she have to die? Those questions echoed within his mind as his body went limp falling backward into the pool of rainwater. The rain washed over him as his eyelids grew heavy. The agent turned to Celestia with another soft smile. “You have my thanks. I will make sure the bodies are dealt with.” He explained to her. She nodded at him turning back to Twilight. Whom had fallen to her knees at this point crying into her hands, Celestia put her hand on her shoulder gesturing to the guards they were not needed. “This had to be done. I am sorry.” She spoke softly to her. There was a rumbling as the earth shook violently as the ground spilled apart, the group quickly moved back. Both bodies slid into the open maw of Gaia falling into the black abyss below. The earthquake finally stopped as car alarms could be heard going off in the distance from the aftershocks. "Well, that saves time on a cleanup crew…accidents happen every day." The agent said peering into the dark void below. He could hear them. High pitched rough voices arguing over something. As his eyes blinked awake. He couldn't feel his body, and it was hard to breathe. The rubble was removed from his body. The darkness hid their features from his eyes. "What have you found?" A voice called from the darkness as the light finally filled his vision. Four goblin-like creature surrounded him. They had orange-ish brown skin. They dressed in rags. Two of them were only dressed in loincloths. The other two were different. One looked older than the others. He had grey balding hair, with mutton chops and a goatee. He began to stroke his goatee, slightly moving the crystal on his back that was creating the light down upon the ruined body of the young man. “Hm. My word, what do we have here. A possible candidate, perhaps?” He said. "TOO PURE. TOO PURE. HIS SOUL IS NOT BLACK ENOUGH." One of them chipped in. This was one of the different ones in the pack. He had a strange glass eye and had a jester hat on. "Maybe BUT, I sense a burning hatred in his soul. Malice I have not sensed in quite a while." The older one answered. “Regardless we have some use of him. We will take him to the cauldron! Be quick about it. I don’t want him rotting on the stonework." He exclaimed. The Netherworld, Far below the surface world, deep within the earth’s crust. He was dragged into the chamber his feet bumping against the stairs as his vision went in and out. The older creature led the pack entering a large dome room walking across the blacken stone bridge that hung over a massive boiling pot. A thick black tar bubbled within the green cauldron below. The cauldron was roughly the size of a small football field. The Old one stopped at the very edge of the bridge. He turned towards the young man in the arms of the two other creatures. "Ah good, you're still kicking. Now we have done you a service of not letting you become a rotting pile of maggot food. So you will be aiding us now. This is the Cauldron of Souls. This is where the souls of our fallen lords now rest. They will either accept you or your soul will become a tasty snack for them. It's a win-win either way." He explained with a chuckle as he gesture toward the other two creatures. They threw him over the edge of the bridge right into the cauldron. There was a small splash of tar as his body began to lifelessly sink into the tar. He still clung to the locket in his hand never releasing it even as he sunk within the murk of the tar. There was a pause as old one watched the bubbles began to slowly stop. His grey brow furrowed. “Drat. Another failure.” He muttered. He turned with the group of creatures in front of him. That is when the ground began to tremble. The cauldron shook violently as the old one turned back leaning in towards the tar. As a blackened arm shot out of the tar. The ooze dripped off of it, as the fingers of the arm wrapped around the older one's throat lifting him off the ground. Another arm shot out of the tar placing itself against the edge of the bridge. The locket still wrapped around the palm of his hand. White pupil less eyes glowed as a hairless blacken head came out next. Fangs gnashed against each other as the tar dripped from the mouth of this being. "I will….I WILL….I WILL KILL THEM ALL." A roar escaped the maw of this being. That echoed outward from Netherworld all the way to the surface.
Chapter 1: The Overlord is BornAuthor's Note Hey everyone. I know I have not updated any of fanfic in a while but, I wanted to write something and this was stuck in my brain. I would love some feedback. I am also gonna try to write my fic more. PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT. Chapter 1: The Overlord is Born What came from the muck was no longer a man. Skin a pitch-black as if it was midnight. White burning eyes with no pupils and teeth now a sharpen row of fangs. He still gripped onto the elder creature holding him as he dragged his body from the cauldron. Steam was rolling off his body as the other minions stepped backward in fear his shadow casting down upon them as he let out a snarl. His form giving out as his grip loosened as he smashed against the stone bridge his body had grown several feet now a hulking form of muscle. The Elder Minion coughed as he regained his footing rubbing his neck but, quickly pointing at this thing that had dragged itself out of the cauldron. "BRING HIM TO THE CHAMBER OF THE OVERLORD QUICKLY. HE MUST NOT DIE!!" Shouting this as the Minions hoarded around him grabbing at his limbs as they were led by the elder up a spiral staircase of obsidian. They brought him to a chamber with a single pedestal in the center. Upon the top of the pedestal was….a gauntlet. An iron gauntlet with a large gemstone in the middle of it. The minions threw the hulking thing in front of the pedestal. "Sire! Stay with us. I am Gnarl. I am the eldest of the minions. We, Minions, are of a currently dying breed. Designed to follow a leader that will bring a great shadow upon the land. We have waited so very long for you sire! Yet, you're still incomplete. You must dawn the gauntlet yourself we cannot touch it. Your current.....form, cannot handle the chaos energy that has been gifted to you by the cauldron. Without the gauntlet, you will die! QUICKLY SIRE. Think of what they have done to you….let the hatred FLOW." Rubbing his hands together as he watched what the other would do. His vision was blurry unable to focus. Pain racking his whole body yet his eyes did focus on something. The locket in his hand. The flames within burned deep as he clawed at the pedestal before him, dragging himself towards the gauntlet. "YES! YESSSSS!" Gnarl cheered. Reaching towards the gem of the gauntlet, it began to glow. Pulling itself apart the gauntlet began to fuse to his right arm. Green lightning surge throughout his body. A hellish scream of pain was unleashed from his maw. As an iron-like metal began to form around his whole body in a massive suit. Searing to his flesh. A cape shooting out of his back as his screams didn't end. "FINALLY! YES! AN OVERLORD IS BORN!" Gnarl shouted as a burst of green energy exploded from this new Overlord. The magical wave carried outward throughout the Netherworld to the surface… At the same time, somewhere in the heart of Wakanda (Africa)... A secret meeting of the world's greatest minds known as the Illuminati. A secret group of men who helped guide the world towards a better future. A goal they had mostly completed at this point and time. The group is made up of, Charles Xavier (A powerful Mutant who wishes for his kind to co-exist with humans), Tony Stark (Well-known hero, brilliant scientist and wisecracker), Dr. Strange (Former Doctor turned Sorcerer Supreme) Reed Richards (brilliant scientist and leader of the Fantastic Four) and T'Challa (AKA Black Panther, King and Protector of Wakanda) "I think that wraps up today's meeting gentlemen." Strange spoke to the round table shuffling his papers together. "Whelp given how things have been going we may be able to stop our little monthly boy's club meetings." Tony stated, leaning back in his chair. "I may have to agree with Stark for once in my life." T'Challa added arching an eyebrow at the millionaire. "Gentlemen peace is an easy thing to lose. We must stay on guard." Xavier commented pulling his hoverchair from the table. "He's right you know. We have no idea where the next threat could come from." Strange said leaning against the table looking through his notes. "Come on guys. We won. Can we just ya know enjoy it for once? Ms. Marvel is handling any outer world threats. We have thousands of heroes now working the streets. Even the leagues of evil being rooted out as we speak by Cap. What could possibly go wrong now?" Stating these words boldly as if he was challenging fate. The wave would wash over the room. Strange held his head almost falling onto the table. The pull of the magical force that was release was massive. Xavier held his skull in pain gritting his teeth as he felt what emotion was released with this wave of energy. "….Such….such RAGE." Xavier explained holding his skull, a cold sweat upon his brow. Strange turned to Tony out of breath. "You had to open your mouth didn't you?" Meanwhile after an intense United Nations Meeting... Twilight Sparkle (The Princess of Friendship), Celestia (The Princess of Sun) and Luna (The Princess of The Moon) had just walked out into an empty hall heading back to their Kingdom of Equestria. Twilight's head hung low and bags had formed under her eyes. Sleep was not something she had been able to find lately. Celestia stopped in her tracks with Luna already down the steps. Celestia turned to Twilight raising her hand to her chin lifting it upwards. Twilight's eyes were met with a warm smile. "I can take that memory from your mind if you wish. This is not your burden to bear. I did what I felt was best for the world. That is not something that comes without a cost." Explaining this to her student again at this point she had said it a lot after that fated day. Twilight's eyes swelled up again at the thought of that day but, she quickly wiped the tears away. "I know…I don't blame you. I just…wish there had been another way...I just wish there could've been some other way ." She whimpered this out. Celestia hand rose to her student's cheek caressing it. "Ease your mind. We will be home soon. You can spend some time with the girls and it will dull the pain. You may not be able to forget or even accept what happened but, the pain will grow less by each passing day." Smiling at her. Twilight smiled back at her finally as the wave hit them as well. Green sparks surged from their horns as pain pulsed through the three Alicorn's bodies. They fell to their knees. "W-what is this!" Twilight screamed. "DARK MAGIC. SUCH POWERFUL DARK MAGIC." Luna cried "IMPOSSIBLE. HOW? WHO?" Celestia held her horn before her eyes flashed yellow for a moment. A pulse of divine radiance banished the dark magic gripping them. Sharp breaths fell from Celestia's lungs as she looked around seeing no one. Only feeling that deep hatred that came from the magical pulse. Both Luna and Twilight looked towards Celestia. She was searching for an answer she didn't have. Finally standing upwards looking down at Luna. "Sister go back home. Prepare our forces." She turned to Twilight. "Twilight get the girls and the elements of harmony, we may need them." She commanded. Struggling to find her feet Twilight held one of her arms in pain. "What was that?" She asked looking frighten by what she had just felt. "I don't know…I have not felt such darkness in Eons….." There was another pause from her. "I have to warn the heroes and those in power. Please hurry…I fear the worst is upon us." She uttered quickly rushing off leaving her Student and Sister to care for things. She had underestimated something. Something important. EVIL ALWAYS FINDS A WAY.
Bonus Chapter 1.5: Prepare The Minions.An inky void surrounded him. Scanning the area around him, he saw her. She was just standing there just a few feet from him. He began to ran towards her yet, no matter how hard he pumped his legs he couldn't get any closer to her. She turns away from him slowly walking in the other direction. "LYRA! LYRA! WAIT PLEASE!" Calling out to her trying to run even faster. Soon he felt something clawing at his legs pulling him under the void. Hands of black tar beginning to drag him into the depths. He reached out for her. That's when he heard the gunshots as the image of her dropped into a pool of her own blood, and what stood over her were the three beings that caused her death. The rage of his soul began to boil over as the claws dragged him under into the inky void as he unleashed a hellish scream. A scream for vengeance. His eyes flashed open to the sight of obsidian. Sitting up from the large bed he was in seeing a mostly empty chamber. He looked over his body covered in grey steel and the gem within the gauntlet was now pulsing with a deep glow. Feeling its power washing over his body yet there was still a small sting of pain. Staring at his right hand still clenching the locket. Rubbing the silver between his metallic fingers. He could still feel its warmth. Opening the locket seeing the picture of Lyra inside of it. A small stain of blood has splashed against the picture. Grinding his teeth at the sight he heard the door to the room open. His stare instantly going up to the door. It was Gnarl entering the room with an excited expression as he saw his master's eyes were finally open. "SIRE! Finally, you have awakened." Overjoyed was his words as he rushed to the bedside. "I wasn't sure you were going to wake at all given how long it has been…" Saying this in a hushed tone looking to the side. The white burning eyes locked onto him as he stood from the bed. Gnarl backed up as the shadow of his Overlord was upon him. His Master's fists tightened. "How…long have I been asleep?" Demanding an answer from the elder. A hard swallow came from Gnarl. Pulling slightly at his collar not making direct eye contact with his new lord. "Well...Sire your body required rest to get used to your new body and…" "HOW LONG?!" His Master roared cutting his words short. "A….a month sire." Giving him a sheepish smile. Fury was the only emotion he had. Raising both tighten fists above his head Gnarl winced at the possible impact as the Overlord roared once more slamming both hands down on his bed cracking both the bed frame in half and crack the floor below it. Heavy breaths leaving his maw. Looking downward at his handy work….he felt for the first time in his life something he had never felt before. STRENGTH. Pure raw strength! He already knew what he had to do. Those who had wronged him wouldn't have another day of peace. "Gnarl. Those creatures with you before…can they fight?" Asking his tone holding a bitter darkness within it. "Yes. My Master, they are Minions. They live only to serve you. But, Sire…." Speaking out again. Quickly turning around to Gnarl his cape blowing out from the speed he turned around, glaring down at the elder thing before him. "I need a weapon! Something to make me stronger." Stating this to the other. "B-but, of course, sire this way. I will take you to the armory." Bowing to him as he led this master down a long hallway to a massive set of iron doors with helms carved into them. Unlocking the door the iron doors slowly opened on their own. Green torches lit by themselves lighting the darkroom. The walls were lined with twisted blacken weapons. Maces, Axes and jagged blades. Gnarl shuffled towards the right side of the room rubbing his hands together with glee as he gestured towards the maces. "These maces are finely crafted by our forge master. They will mash the heads of any half-brained hero who dares stand before you." Letting out a gleeful laugh as the thought crossed his wicked mind. His master scanned the room seeing the lines of weapons across the armory. He needed power. Enough power to break anyone who got in his way. His eyes were drawn to the blade in the center of the room. It was placed into the ground with a small engraving at the base of it. His heavy footfalls found themselves moving towards the blade. Gnarl watched him carefully clearing his throat. "S-sire if you seek a blade we have many deadly ones upon this wall over here." Quickly going over to the wall of blades gesturing towards them. Yet his master didn't even move his eyes from the blade in the ground. The text upon the plaque translated itself as he read it. "Only one who can match my will may draw this blade." Gnarl began to sweat coming over to his new lord. "Sire that….that blade is the blade of the second Overlord. There have been others before you. That blade can only be drawn by someone who can match him. It could…." "Will it make me stronger?" Again his words were cut short by his master. "…." Gnarl paused for a moment. "In theory yes my lord but…" He tried to warn him. Before he could finish both hands gripped the hilt of the blade as this new Overlord began to pull upward on the blade. Sickening flames of green began to lick up the sides of the blade. He roared using all of his strength to pull. Lightning crackled around him, as Gnarl backed away from the sight. "YOU. WILL. BEND. TO. ME!" The Overlord shouted as the blade began to slowly lift upwards as he drew it from the stone. He felt the surge of the might within his body pulsing from the blade. It was a long two-handed blade with green runes across it that we're now coming to life as he held it with one hand. Gnarl fell to his knees at the sight of the blade. He had not seen an Overlord with such raw power in quite some time. The Overlord turned to his servant with a focus in his eyes. "Gnarl. Prepare the Minions. Any of them that can fight. Then….TAKE ME TO THE SURFACE."
Chapter 2: The First Conflict.New York, Time Square High Noon. A rumble quickly turned into a quake as the ground exploded outward unleashing a massive jagged black bud of metal that unfolded taking up the majority of Time Square's Center Street. Screaming filled the air as his eyes adjusted to the warming rays of sunlight. Surrounding his feet were his servants….The Minions. Armed with simple clubs there were about thirty of them around his legs. "Sire. Can you hear me?" A familiar voice crept into his mind. "Gnarl?" He answered as his eyes scanned the street the sheep were staring at him, and silence had taken the area. "Indeed Sire! I can speak with you through the gauntlet. Sire…..this may not be the best course of action. Those are our…. I mean your only Minions right now, and…the powers of light are strong." Saying this in a nervous tone. "Are you questioning me Gnarl?" Asking this as he heard the sirens in the distance. "O-of course not! Haha!" Nervously laughing at the question. "Then be silent and watch while I draw out THE VERMIN." Shouting this outward from his mind into the air. At this point, the first responders had arrived on the scene. A dozen or so patrol cars had pulled to the side, Officers leaning against the side of the vehicles with weapons drawn. Over a speakerphone, one of the officers called out. "You are surrounded. Lay down your arms and put your hands behind your head. We will open fire should you resist. If you are from another realm and cannot understand me, we can get you a translator if you come in peace." Saying this as the crowd went quiet waiting for his reply. Peace? Under his helm, a smile crept upon his face at that word. THERE WOULD NEVER BE PEACE AGAIN AS LONG AS HE DREW BREATH. His gauntlet rose towards them as the gem in the center of it began to glow as he would command his Minions. "ATTACK! SLAUGHTER!" The Overlord shouted his warcry. The Minions responded with hellish cackles. As they became blurs of motion racing towards the cops before they could even pull their triggers. Groups of Minions began to push over cars, Beating down Officers and setting their cars ablaze. One brave soul was able to steel himself enough to get off a single bullet. It soared through the air, and impacted the Overlord's chest. He didn't even feel it hit him. As it impacted his armor the bullet would be crushed as it bounced off him. The Overlord glared down at the bullet. He still remembered the sting of the lead in his flesh from that night. It started small, then began to build. Laughter from his throat, a true joy for the first time since he became this….THING. Nothing would stop him now. Unknown to him one of the police officers was currently on the radio with command. "We're being overrun! SEND HEROES. WE NEED….AHHHHHHHHH!" Screaming as one of the Minion bashed his skull into the side of his car cracking it open like an egg. He wasn't doing anything and already…the carnage around him was…beautiful. The screaming, the flames it was all to get their attention. He just needed to draw them out. Then he would have what he most desired. Looking downward at the Silver locket around his neck his expression soften. "Soon….soon I will make them pay for taking your light away from me. I will show them the shadow they have created." Uttering this to himself as a woman in the crowd called something out that caught his attention. "IT'S MIGHTY AND HIS SQUAD. THE HEROES ARE HERE." She shouted as the rest of the crowd seem to join in cheering. "IT'S THE BOMBER SQUADRON!" Another shouted as the crowd's fear turned to cheer. He knew these beings. When he was still a man they were a famous group of superheroes from the Heroes Association. A five-man group. He could pick them out by name and rank. Heavy Tank Loincloth. Class-A, Rank 5. A behemoth of a man even if he was in his middle-age. He was the cockiest of the group always showing off his muscles. Chain'n'toad. Class-A, Rank 36. A man who dawns a toad mask hiding his face while wearing a karate outfit. While his appearance may be odd his strength with his Kusarigama (Sickle and chain) is unmatched. Smile Man. Class-A, Rank 27. A younger male with lean muscles wearing a skin-tight red-body suit with a smiley face on it. He wields a massive kendama (Japanese wooden toy that is a hammer with a ball attached to the side of it.) Feather. Class-A, Rank 34. The pretty boy of the group only matched in terms of female fans by the leader of this group. A skinny male who's attire consist of a revealing top that shows off his abdomen and has cuts down the sides that are clipped together with a thin strip of fabric. He also dons a white cape attached to a triple shelled shoulder pad on his right shoulder and a woolly covering on his left. He finishes his attire with two belts that wrap around his waist and a black choker. Finally, the Leader of this group. Mighty, the Bomber. Class-S, Rank 17. A small younger looking male wearing a skin-tight one-piece white suit with a popped collar. His hair was a dark brown a bit shaggy looking yet, his eyes were a deep clear blue almost like an ocean. Mighty was the only one he knew about in depth. He was from an Alien race known as the Bombers. He was a pillar of peace within the hero community one of the few S-classes that was liked by both the public and other heroes. Thinking back on this fact something within his soul began to stir. A smirk crawled over his face as the group approached. He would bring down this symbol of peace…all of the symbols of peace if he had too. They protected the monsters of the world and allowed this twisted greater good to exist. Even if they were unaware of it, they were supposed to be heroes. In this Overlord's eyes if they got in his way they were no better than the people who took everything from him. "Woo…we may have something more than a bank robber this time. A few little…things being commanded by Mister Edge lord in the back." Feather commented as the group walked forward. "They killed some of the officers and some of them are wounded. We need to try to save who we can. He's got some spirit to just attack in broad daylight. I will at least give him that." Toad added readying his weapon. The Overlord's eyes locked with Mighty's eyes. He could feel the strength from this hero yet, it only seemed to cause the stirring in his soul to quicken. His hand tightened around his blade. Tank caught the look and smirked. Pushing off the earth cracking it slightly as he covered the distance between the Overlord and himself quickly shouting back. "You won't be getting the kill this time Mighty." "WAIT TANK WE DON'T KNOW WHAT HE CAN DO." Mighty tried to call out to him yet, it fell on deaf ears. Tank jumped over the row of cars bypassing the Minions and cops they were attacking. Landing squarely in front of the Overlord. Arms crossed over his chest looking up at the other. "Hoho you're a big one but, I am a Class-A. THE UNDEFEATABLE HEAVY TANK LOINCLOTH. You've scared these people enough I will make sure you are begging for their forgiveness when this is all said and done." Shouting this loud enough for everyone around to hear. The crowd of people cheered as they began to pull out their phones to record what they thought would be a hero in action. Some were chanting his name as he began to flex for them. It was as if the blade in his hand acted by itself, guided by a hunger for blood. His arm became a blur as his sword cut through the hero's neck in a single stroke. Cutting through the bone, muscle and flesh felt like cutting through butter with this blade. The crowd went silent as his head rolled from his muscular body. The bloody stump that was now his neck began to shoot blood into the air as his arms swung out in a death throw before his body fell limp on the ground. The cheering had become a horrified scream of panic as the crowd of people were rushing to get away from the danger. People were knocking each other over in the frenzy. Yet for the Overlord everything was silent as he stared down at the body of this hero. He felt nothing. Nothing at all. No regret or remorse. There was even a small amount of pride swelling up inside of him from his handy work. The Overlord looked back upwards towards the rest of the heroes, locking eyes with Mighty once more. Smiling from ear to ear. If he destroyed one of these pillars of peace they wouldn't be able to ignore him. "TANK!!! YOU BASTARD!" Feather cried out almost rushing in as he was stopped by a hand to his chest. "All of you focus on getting the bystanders out of here. I will keep him busy. Call for reinforcements! NOW!" Mighty commanded as he sprinted off the ground towards the Overlord. At this point, the Minions were beginning to spread out from the cops attacking innocents that fell from the horde of people running away. Mighty became naked to the human eyes from a sonic boom from his movements. He was much faster than the other hero. His helm activated covering his head and his mouth only exposing the eyes. A yellow V headpiece adorned the top of his helm. In the Overlord's eyes he could still keep up with this level of speed but, Mighty was a little blurry. The Overlord raised his sword once more itching for more conflict. Yet his eyes were met with a flash of light launched from Mighty's hand. There was a deafening sound from the release of light that stunned him for a moment. Mighty pushed off the ground backflipping over the Overlord his hand stretched forward once more shooting something out again. That then exploded against the Overlord's back. He actually felt a small sting from the explosion as smoke now rolled off his back. Mighty landed gracefully on top of one of the street lamps looking down at the Overlord who had now turned around with a growl. "I am your opponent! Your fight is with me. No one else." Mighty shouted. "Opponent? ALL I SEE IS A DEAD MAN." He roared back. Next time, THE OVERLORD VS. THE MIGHTY BOMBER.
