Opening Scene

The young mare entered the house, slamming the door shut behind her, locking it. She panted heavily as the events of what occurred crossed her mind again. All of her friends were killed by a crazed psycho wearing a halloween costume and even her own sister suffered the same fate. If only she didn't pick up that damn phone, she could possibly be alright.

It was too late for that, right now she had to focus on survival. She shrieked as soon as the houses home phone began to ring. She let out a heavy gulp. She didn't want to pick it up, but if she didn't, it would possibly lead her to death. She quickly picked up the phone, and answered.

"H-hello...?" She said, her voice shaky and timid.

"Hello Night Shade." The deep voice said. "I know where you are. I can see you." Night Shade felt the fear crawl up her skin.

"What do you want from me?" She shouted back. "Almost everyone I've known is dead because of you! What more do you want from me?!" She felt tears sting her eyes. She couldn't decide whether she should just give up or continue to fight.

"I want revenge." The voice replied. "It's as simple as that. I killed your friends to mentally break you, and look at that, it worked. Not even your sister could stop my rampage." Night Shade breath stopped. Her older sister was a police officer, who had been trying to protect Shade from this murder. He couldn't have...

"Where is she?!" She demanded. There was no response, which caused Night Shade to grow more and more worried. When she was little, her parents died in a terrible accident, which lead to both sisters being put in a foster home, though the ponies were only interested in the money and didn't treat them well. They only had each other, it was the only family Night Shade had left. "I said where is she?!" She shouted. "Answer me you bastard!"

"Right here..." The voice replied. There was a sudden crash from somewhere in the house. Night Shade turned around and gasped the the gruesome sight. The back door that was made out of glass was broken. Among the shattered pieces, was the corpse of a police officer. That police officer was Night's sister.

She couldn't believe her eyes, as they started to water. Her corpse had multiple stab wounds, her face was in agony, indicating she died painfully. Night Shade broke down, falling to her knees, tears flowing down her cheeks. The only family she had left was now gone. She looked up, and screamed.

The figure of a tall pony stood before her, they were wearing a dark black cloak that went down to their feet. They wore a white mask, with a mouth that went down further than possible, the eye holes were too dark to look into. The only clues to the killer was their horn. It had to be a unicorn.

"Leave me alone!" Night Shade screamed. The killed had something in their hand, they put it up to their mouth before speaking.

"No." The killer said, the device being a voice changer. "You deserve to die slowly and I will make that happen." With that, they ran at Shade. She screamed and started to run the other way. However, due to the killer's cloak being so long, they stepped on it, causing them to trip while running.

"Oof" A feminine voice came from the killer, as she fell face first to the ground.

"Cut" The director shouted. They had messed up the scene again. The pony in the costume got up, and pulled off the mask, revealing a pony by the name of Twilight Sparkle under it. Her friend, Rainbow Dash, who was playing as Night Shade, gave her a concerned look.

"Are you okay?" She asked, walking up to her.

"Yeah, I'm fine." Twilight replied, rubbing her head. The director walked up to the two, with a look of disappointment.

"Girls, opening weekend is approaching fast!" Hh said. "We need to get these scenes perfected if we want to put on this years show!"

"Of course we do!" Rainbow Dash replied. "I've been wanting to act in it ever since the first showing." Night Shade's "sister" or better known as Daisy Light, got up from her position, a look of annoyance was across her face.

"Well, maybe if the cloak was shorter bimbo over here wouldn't keep tripping on it!" She said, as Twilight looked over at her with shock.

"What did you say to me?" She asked rather harshly. Daisy rolled her eyes.

"You heard me." She replied. "Every time we try to do this scene, something gets screwed up. Maybe Twilight will trip, or maybe someone will mis-remember a line. I'm getting sick of it and I'm sick of rehearsing." She stormed over to a nearby chair, grabbing her purse. "I'm going home for the day. Get your act together before tomorrow!" With that, she left the building.

The director sighed, putting his hand to his face. He looked at everyone.

"Everyone is excused for the day..." He said, as he walked back to his chair. As they packed up, he wondered how they would show his play this year with everything happening.

Daisy grumbled to herself, as she walked on the sidewalk. This play was a total mess for her. She wanted a bigger part originally. She auditioned to be the killer, but no Twilight had to win that. Her envy of her grew the more and more she was forced to work with her.

The cool breeze felt good against her skin. Working all day had made her tired, not to mention sweaty. She could go for a nice cold shower.

Maybe if they let me in the show next year I can be the killer... She thought They probably wont because of the way I've been acting, leaving set and what not... I just can't deal with this right now... Her thoughts were interrupted when she heard a loud ringing coming from her purse. She sighed, scrambling around to find her large brick cell phone. It didn't take long to find it however.

With a grunt, she answered the phone.

"Hello?" She said, coming off as agitated towards the pony on the other line.

"Hello Daisy." The deep voice that sounded like the killer from the play answered. Daisy rolled her eyes and gave out a sigh of annoyance.

"Let me guess, the killer from our play, Twilight?" She replied sarcastically. Daisy assumed it was Twilight due to her part in the play. "I'm not in the mood for this shit, please leave me alone." She hung up and continued down her street. She just wanted to hurry and get back to her nice soft mattress and her fluffy pillow. It didn't take long before her phone started to ring again. She felt irritated, as she grabbed her phone and quickly answered.

"What?" She said sounding more angry.

"Why did you hang up on me?" The voice replied, his tone still neutral and deep.

"I hanged up," Daisy started. "Because I'm not in the mood for your prank calls! Now please leave me alone!" She was about to hang up again, when the pony said something she didn't expect.

"You wanted to be the killer in the play, didn't you?" They started. "You should have gotten the role instead of Twilight, you are more fit for it..." Daisy slowly put the phone back to her ear.

"You think so...?" She replied. The other pony took a moment before they answered.

"Yeah," They replied. "I remember when you used to act in a lot of different plays, mostly in the horror genre. I would have loved to see you with a bigger part." Daisy was enjoying the flattery, until she realized something. Besides the people she worked with, no pony knew that she wanted the role as murderer.

"How did you know I wanted to be the killer?" She replied. What the voice said next sent a shiver down her spine.

"I know because I've been watching you." The voice replied. "I'm always there in the back round and you don't even know I'm there..." At this point, she knew it had to be some sort of prank call.

"Are you one of the background ponies? The ones that works on the sets?" She asked. Her house was close now, soon she could relax and forget about this caller.

"Maybe..." The pony replied. "Or maybe, I'm looking at you right now..." Daisy quickly looked at her surroundings, trying to find out where this "Pony" was.

"I'm hanging up now." She said.

"Don't you dare hang up-" His voice was cut out when she hung up and threw it back in her purse. She was feeling a little more tense now as she started to quick walk back to her house. She was at the front door, when the phone rang once again. Daisy didn't want to answer it, but something told her that if she didn't, she would be in more danger. She reluctantly got her phone out and answered.

"You little bitch." the voice said. "None of you ever listen, I told you not to hang up and what do you do? Of course, you do it." Daisy felt more tension radiating in her back.

"What do you want from me? Just leave me alone!" As she said this, she entered her house and slammed the door shut behind her, locking it.

"I want to play a game..." The voice said. "One where you get stabbed and die slowly." Daisy once again hung up and raced for the kitchen. She grabbed the largest kitchen knife she had, as she made her way to the back door to lock it. As she twisted the hatch, she heard something behind her. She turned around and her heart dropped. There, standing in the hallway, was a pony dressed up as ghost face, the costume they had used for the play. She screamed as he lunged at her, his hunting knife only missing her by a little.

Instead of fighting back, like she said she would do if she found herself in a situation like this, she ran for the front door. When the killer grabbed her arm however, she tried to cut him with her knife. He dodged the attack, before quickly grabbing it, and throwing it aside.

She punched the killer in the face, knocking him to the ground. She quickly made a run for the front door. She reached the handle and swung it open. On the other side, was another pony with the same costume. She screamed, as he pulled out a hunting knife and stabbed her in the side.

Daisy gasped, as she felt the burn of the wound as blood trickled out of it. The killer pulled it out before stabbing her again. Daisy slowly feel to the ground, holding the place she had been stabbed. She heard footsteps from the other killer coming to her. The two ponies looked down at their victim.

"Please... Leave me alone..." She pleaded. They ignored her pleads as one grabbed her feet and the other grabbed her hands. They started to make their way to the backyard. Daisy owned a large plot of land, which meant she had to have a lake in her backyard.

The killers carried her to the lake. One of them started to tie rope around her feet, while the other one went to go grab something. When that one came back, he had a cart with two cinder blocks in it. He pushed them to his partner. They began their work, tying the other ends of the rope to the blocks.

Daisy had a look of utter horror on her face, but was powerless to do anything about it as they pushed the cinder blocks in, dragging her into the lake. As she felt the cool water all around her body, she knew her fate was sealed. She began growing unconscious, with blood loss and now not being able to breath. She struggled to stay awake, as she slowly passed out, never to be awoken again.
