Rarity gasped loudly as she pushed Adagio back slightly, evoking a predatory grin from the model. Adagio grinned but did let Rarity have her way for a bit at least, her hands resting on the designer's sides slid downwards slightly as she worked her fingers up under Rarity's shirt, caressing her bare sides. "What's the matter, pretty girl? Can't keep up?"

Rarity blushed a little brighter and shook her head. "Adagio, what if someone walks in?" She glanced over Adagio's dressing room door. It was closed and locked, but still, people had keys, and also even just them knocking would be embarrassing. "The HR form was pretty explicit about fraternizing at work..."

Adagio rolled her eyes and frowned at her girlfriend. She was really getting tired of how timid Rarity was at times. She enjoyed being in charge but Rarity could raise objections about the most meaningless things. "Rarity, the door is locked and they really don't care, it's just them covering themselves for legal reasons." Adagio waited for Rarity's hesitant nod before she smiled and ran her hands up Rarity's sides. Gently fingering the side of Rarity's bra, causing the girl to blush even brighter. "Come on, pretty girl, we've been dating for weeks now. I want to see what you're hiding from me."

Rarity bit her bottom lip and nodded again. "I-If you really want..."

Adagio sighed and dropped her hands out of the girl's shirt. "Rarity, it's about us both wanting this I'm not going to... Well, you know. I'm not going to make you do anything. I mean if you take too long we might break up but-"

Rarity's eyes widened and she reached up quickly wrapping her arms around her girlfriend's shoulders. "N-No I want to Adagio re-"

"Ugh! Rarity! Calm down!" Adagio took a moment to take a deep breath and raised a hand, rubbing the girl's cheek and smiling at her. "Seriously Rarity I'm not going to dump you over you giving me blue balls for a bit." Rarity calmed down a little but still shifted uncomfortably, Adagio thought of a way to maybe fix that a bit. "Remember the first time I said that?" Rarity blushed a bit and looked away, but Adagio caught the twitch at the corner of her mouth. "It took you ten minutes to ask me if I was being literal. Little miss 'I don't know siren physiology!'" Rarity couldn't help but giggle gently at the memory, it was embarrassing as heck at the time, now it was quite amusing. Adagio smile as she saw her girlfriend smiling faintly. "There's my pretty girl."

Rarity smiled at her girlfriend. "S-So if you still want to I..."

Adagio sighed lowly and shook her head, taking Rarity by the hand and sitting down in one of her large cushioned chair, leaning back in it and pulling Rarity on top of her, holding her girlfriend close to her. "I think we need to talk about this." Adagio couldn't believe she was the one who was being touchy-feely in this relationship, she was supposed to be the hard ass.

Rarity bit her bottom lip as she nuzzled into Adagio, but she really didn't want to talk about her issues... Maybe she could distract Adagio. "You know Adagio you could come over to my apartment tonight... I'll make us a nice meal and... I mean... In a more appropriate venue... We could... And I'd... I mean I would be more willing..."

Adagio looked into Rarity's eyes and she trailed off, looking to the side. Adagion reached up and gently rubbed Rarity's back. "Fool me twice shame on me." She shook her head and booped the girl's nose as she started to look down in shame. "Now I'm willing to wait, but we -do- need to talk about this Rarity. Or else it will become a problem." Rarity let out a small whimper but nodded. "That's my pretty girl. You know why you're so... Nervous about the physical aspect of a relationship?"

Rarity shook her head, she wasn't sure, she had had three partners in her life... One she was... It was one of those foolish young and in love at camp... Then she was seeing Octavia for a year. After the group's big fight she'd found some comfort in the pretty cellist arms, they were still friends but they simply hadn't worked as a couple. Then there was Applejack, who broke her heart... Rarity blinked as she looked up, biting her bottom lip. "Uh... Sorry I was thinking..."

Adagio smiled gently. "I assumed, so do you have any ideas?"

Rarity shook her head. "No. I don't. I mean... Uh..." Rarity blushed a little brighter, but maybe Adagio could help her figure it out. "M-My first partner was from camp, nothing serious, camp romance we thought was going to end up with us getting married when we grew up... But we barely kept in contact for a month after camp. Nothing unusual except for two girls being completely lost for what to do with each other..." She smiled a bit, it was actually a pretty fond memory of her foolish little youth. "Then there was me and Octavia. We dated for a year so we... Had our times together. But nothing unusual. She knew more than me but she... Was very kind and patient, never made me feel bad when she was showing me things."

Adagio nodded and waited for about thirty seconds before prompting Rarity. "And Applejack?"

Rarity flushed a bit but as much as Rarity didn't want to continue she couldn't just leave the issue there. She swallowed as she looked into Adagio's eyes and shook her head. "I-I don't think it's because of Applejack..."

"Why's that?" Adagio was curious to hear the reasoning, and very much didn't believe the reasoning, though she would grant that Rarity probably believed her reasoning.

Swallowing Rarity smiled nervously. "W-Well I mean we only did it once, so that can't have caused anything..."

Adagio cooed to the nervous girl. "Tell me a little more beautiful, why only once?"

Rarity let out a low whimper but nodded. "W-Well... We were talking about... Applejack didn't think we were compatible and she... I mean... I was trying to convince her... And she said she thought it was better that we break up... Then I convinced her that... That I could show her we belonged together... She didn't want to but I insisted that we... That we do it and... And I couldn't convince her..." Rarity's eyes were filling with tears as she recounted it. It took all of Adagio's will power not to sigh at how the girl had blinded herself not only to her causing her own intimacy issue; but also that she herself had definitely put the final nail in the coffin of having a relationship with the woman she obviously still held a torch for.

Adagio pulled the girl close to her and just held her, giving her a few minutes to recover from her memories before she broached the subject of Rarity's issues. Adagio took those minutes to wonder how she, the one who'd been hunting around for a fun lay had gotten tangled up in a relationship with the admittedly pretty, but emotionally needy designer. Adagio though couldn't help but feel... Happier with this than her conquests. She enjoyed bedding pretty girls and handsome men, but when she went home after an evening or a day with Rarity she had a warm feeling that lasted a heck of a lot longer than the afterglow did. She raised a hand and gently ran it through Rarity's hair while holding the other girl close to her. "Rarity, I think I know what has you so nervous."
