Chapters Kirin in the school of friendship
After waiting all summer, it was finally time to grab my things and head to ponyville. I was so excited to finally be going to the school of friendship.
“Mom! I have to go to catch the train now!” I shouted so that my mom could here me from the kitchen, it would be my first time on a train, and also my first time leaving the peaks of peril, I was ecstatic and really nervous, though I tried not to show it.
“Ok! Please be careful!” My mom answered. @I will!” I shouted back, then opened the door and stepped outside.
The morning sunlight shone against my main as the breeze blew into it. Nature truly is beautiful, I hope the scenery will be just as beautiful at the school of friendship.
I race towards the little cave that lead to the train station as fast as I could, I couldn’t be late.
I got there right before the train, and got on it immediately. There wasn’t anyone else there, but it is the last stop, of course.
I fell asleep on the train, I didn’t really dream, because I wasn’t asleep that long, but when I woke up there was a few pony’s there.
After about an hour or two, the train stopped at ponyville. I got off the train, and I was about to start heading to the school with my books and stuff, but then it dawned on me.
I don’t know where the school is.
I walked up to some pony who had also just got off the train. “E-excuse me, um, do you know w-where the school of friendship is?”
The pony turned around. “Oh, ya, it’s just behind Princess Twilight’s castle. Her castle is the really tall crystal building over there.” The pony said, then pointing their hoof at Twilight’s castle.
“Thank you!” I said then started trotting towards the castle.
When I got there I didn’t see the school, but then I remembered that the pony said it was behind the castle, so I walked around to the back, and there it was, and it was beautiful.
I walked into the school, there were a lot of ponies and a few other creatures there already. I panicked. “Everyone’s already here?! Oh no, no, no, no! I can’t be late on my first day!” I said, not realizing I was speaking out loud.
“Heh, trust me, you’re not late.” A voice suddenly said from behind me. “AH!” I turned around, it was a blue griffon, and he was kinda cute... “O-oh, h-hi I’m so sorry, you s-scared me... I-I’m W-winterStream...” I stuttered.
“The names Gallus, you’re the new student right?” He asked “Y-ya, that’s me...” I said. “Cool, do you want me to show you where your dorm is?” He asked. “Yes, t-that would be nice” I replied almost instantly.
“Ok, follow me.” Gallus said and led me out of the main room and into a hall. We then went outside. “This is the garden, we have to come through here to get to the dorm building.” He explained, walking towards a doorway. “Ok.” I said.
We went through the door. “Alright, here is the dorm hallway. Since you’re the new student, you’re in dorm 7. I’m in dorm 3 if you need anything.” Gallus told me. I already knew it would be awesome here.
“T-thanks Gallus.” I said then walked to the end of the small hallway, at the end was a door with a 7 on it. There was a key in the door, and it was unlocked, so I walked in.
It was small, but looked really cozy, and there was a small bookshelf! I put my suitcase on the bed and left the dorm. I walked down the hallway and into the garden. And after getting a little lost, I found my way back into the main building.

When I got back to the main room, everyone was still there, I couldn’t see Gallus in the crowd though.
Then, suddenly, a voice spoke up. “Welcome everycreature, this, for the most of you, will be your third year here, but we do have one new student. WinterStream could you please come up here.” Twilight spoke to the crowd.
Oh no, no, no no no. I CAN’T go up there and talk to everyone!
I nervously step forward and walk slowly up onto the little stage Twilight was standing on. Heart pounding, I said “H-hello M-Miss Twilight...” very nervously, I was in the presence of a PRINCESS.
Twilight moved away from the microphone. “Would you like to say something to everyone?” Twilight asked. “N-no thanks, I-I’m a little nervous...” I responded.
“It’s ok if you don’t want to, talking in front of crowds can be pretty hard at first.” Twilight said sympathetically, then went back to the mic.
“Just like the last two years, you will be getting your class schedule from Starlight” said Twilight pointing to a light purple mare with a big stack of paper.
“Anyways, that is all I have to say, please get to your classes as soon as you get your schedule.” Twilight said then moving away from the mic.
I turned away to start walking towards who I assumed was Starlight, but Twilight stopped me.
“WinterStream, I actually have your schedule, and I’m going to walk you to your first class.” Twilight said.
“O-ok” I said, then followed her down the hall, into the garden, and to a little building. When we got inside there were already other students there, including Gallus, a pony, a changling, a hippogriff, a dragon, and a yak. They were all talking with each other, the way close friends would.
“Here’s your schedule” Twilight said while a piece of paper surrounded by magic floated towards me. “T-thank you, h-have a nice day...” I stuttered at the princess.
“You too, just wait in class, Fluttershy should be here soon.” Twilight said then walking away.
I walked into the room. “H-hello?” I asked, but no one heard me, so I started walking towards one of the desks at the back. But suddenly, Gallus noticed me.
“Oh hey! WinterStream! Come meet my friends!” Said Gallus. “O-ok” I said and nervously walked over to the group and sat next to Gallus. Gallus looked over at the orange dragon. “Hey Smolder!” Gallus said.
“Ya?” Smolder said. “This is WinterStream” Gallus said to Smolder.
Smolder walked up to me. “Hey I’m Smolder, your a Kirin, right? Or was it Nirik?” Smolder asked.
“Oh, uh, I’m a Kirin, but when Kirin get mad we turn into Nirik’s.” I replied. “Cool, so, what do ya do for fun?” Smolder asked. “M-me? W-well, I like r-reading, a-and well t-there isn’t much else to d-do at home.” I stuttered.
Smolder was about to say something, but she was interrupted by a little blue changeling. “Oh, hello, I’m Ocellus, what’s your name?” She said.
“I-I’m WinterStream...” I said. “Nice to meet you! If you need any help with this class, just ask me, this is my favourite class.” She told me. “O-ok! Will do!” I told her.
I turned around, Gallus was talking to a green pony. “H-hello” I said. The green pony looked at me. “Oh, hey! I’m Sandbar!” He said cheerfully. “I-I’m WinterStream.” I said. “Cool, you’re friends with Gallus right?” He asked me. “Oh, uh, yeah, I guess, I m-mean, we just met, a-and I don’t r-really know if a-anyone here really l-likes me. I-I mean I don’t really h-have many friends b-back home...” I stuttered. Gallus looked at me. “Ya, we’re definitely friends.” That made me blush quite a bit. “T-thanks...”
A yellow pony walked in. “I am so sorry for being late, I had to take Angel to the vet. I hope you’re all ok with that, anyways, um, since it’s the first day, we won’t be doing any work, but instead we’ll be going into the garden with some of my animal friends.” She said, which everyone seemed happy about.
That’s when she saw me. “Oh, uh, I’m sorry, I forgot you were going to be in my first class of the day, we aren’t doing much today, just spending time with animals. I’m Fluttershy by the way.” She said to me.
“Ok!” I said. Fluttershy lead us too a door, it was at the back left side of the room, but the door that I came into the classroom from was at the front right side of the room.
When I walked out the door I saw a garden, with some animals there. There was two cats, a dog, a red bird, and a few squirrels and mice. I immediately walked to the up to the cat and started petting it.
Now that I was closer I saw that it was really small, a kitten. The kitten had one orange eye, and the other blue, and it’s fur was completely white.
“Miss Fluttershy?” I tried to get the teachers attention. “Yes WinterStream?” She replied. “Aren’t cats not supposed to have blue eyes?” I asked. “Yes, that is true for most species of cats, but Khao Manee cats, which are a very rare cat breed, most of the time have one blue eye, most commonly blue and orange, they always have two coloured eyes, the eyes could also be green or yellow. And their fur is most commonly white.” Fluttershy explained.
“Woah. T-that was a lot, d-do you think you could say that again when I have my n-notebook?” I asked. “Of course I can! My job is to teach you about animals and kindness.” She said. “Thanks Miss Fluttershy!” I said. “I’m just happy to help!” Fluttershy said.
For the most of class I played with the little Khao Manee, until Gallus came up to me. “Hey, class is almost over, want me to show you to your next class after this?” He asked me. “Oh, um, but, won’t you be late f-for class?” I asked nervously.
“Nah, I’m pretty quick.” He said. “O-ok.” I said. Then the bell rang.

Gallus and I walked through the garden together. We didn’t really talk much. We walked into the school, through the halls, and into big open room.
“This is Rainbowdash’s gym class, see ya later.” Said Gallus, turning to leave.
“Ok! Bye!” I said. There was no one else in the room yet, probably still getting out of their period one class.
I walk out the room and sat against the wall to wait for everyone else. The first pony came pretty quickly, she was a blue pegasus with a rainbow mane, probably Proffesor RainbowDash.
“Heya there, newbie.” She greeted me. “WinterStream, right? I’m RainbowDash.” She said confirming my assumption.
“Y-yup, that’s me, WinterStream.” I said. “A-am I too e-early?” I asked.
“No, but there is a ten minute break between each class. You got here before me because I was teaching loyalty in my classroom first period.” RainbowDash said.
“Ok! So I should have about five minutes?” I ask.
“Ya, just about, but if I were you, I’d start running laps to warm up right away.” She said to me.
I walk back into the gym and start running laps, other students were starting to come into the gym as well. A few of the other students even joined in on doing laps around the gym. Then the bell rang.
“Ok everyone! We’re playing dodgeball today! Get into your teams!” RainbowDash shouted sternly, then blowed her whistle.
All the students ran towards a little storage room while I walked up to RainbowDash.
“P-professor RainbowDash?”
“Yes newbie?”
“I don’t know what team I’m on.”
“Oh, ya, you’re on team blue, go into the storage room and get a blue pinnie.”
“O-ok!”
I ran over to where all the other students were, almost all of them already had a pinnie on, so I quickly grabbed a blue one and put it on. It was really uncomfortable, it covered the part of my mane that was on my neck and it made me feel really hot.
When I walked out of the gym I saw some of the ponies with blue pinnies on the far side, and ponies with red pinnies near where I was. So I walked over to where I presumed my team was supposed to be.
Just after I got there, the rest of the team did. But then someone else flew into the gym. All I saw was an orange blue because they wer flying pretty fast. But then she landed in front of RainbowDash, already wearing a red pinnie. It was Smolder.
Smolder and RainbowDash exchanged a few words, but I couldn’t hear anything. Then Smolder ran to the red side.
Everyone stood against the wall on their teams side, so I did too. Then RainbowDash blew her whistle, almost everyone charged forward to grab a ball but I stayed near the back.
One pony on the other team threw all ball towards me, I tried to catch it with my hooves and failed.
“You’re our.” The pony beside me said.
“O-oh, ok...” I walked over to the bench at the side and just sat there. It was elimination so I sat there the whole period and boredly watched Smolder play, she was really good at it.
After what felt like a pretty long time, the bell rang. I looked at my schedule, it was lunch, but I didn’t know where to go for lunch, so I went up to the first pony I saw.
“Hey, uh, I’m new here, where do we go for lunch?” I asked.
“Anywhere, ya just go out and eat wherever you want, and be back in 2 hours.” He said.
“T-thanks!” I then walked all the way to the dorm building.
Great. I now that in order to get food I need bits, so I need a job. But how can I find a job quickly enough?
As I was walking firm the dorm hallway my thoughts were cut off.
“Hey WinterStream! Wanna come hang out with me and my friends for break?” It was Gallus.
“Oh, uh, t-thanks but I c-can’t, I don’t have any bits...” I said.
“I can pay for you today.” Gallus replied.
“O-ok, I g-guess, if it’s not a p-problem.” I stuttered.

Me and Gallus walked together through the school gardens.
“We’re going to the dorm building, me and my friends always meet up there before we go out.” Gallus told me.
“Ok!” I replied cheerfully. “So, w-where are we going to eat?” I asked.
“Don’t know, most likely to the hay burger place.” Said Gallus.
“O-ok.” I said. “I haven’t actually ever had a hay burger.”
“Well, I’m pretty sure you’ll like it.” Was the last thing Gallus said before we walked into the dorm building. Looked like everyone was there.
“There you are Gallus, we’re just talking about where to eat.” Smolder said.
“Could we go to the hay burger place?” Gallus asked.
“Sounds good to me” Said Smolder.
“Yona like hay burger.”
“Why not?” Said Sandbar.
“Ya! Let’s go there!” The pink hippogriff yelled cheerfully.
“Well, everyone else wants to go to get hay burgers, so I’ll go too.” Said Ocellus.
“Alright then, let’s go.” Said Gallus.
We walked together as a group out of the building, well, they walked together as a group, and I followed silently close behind.
“Hey, why Kirin not with friends?” The yak slowed down and asked me.
“Oh, I don’t know, i-it’s just, you all know each other so well, and I don’t e-even know your name... I-I’m WinterStream b-by the way...” I said nervously.
“Yak name Yona, WinterStream is beautiful name.” She replied.
“O-oh, t-thanks, t-that’s really kind o-of you.” I stammered, starting to blush.
“No problem, Why Kirin face red?” Yona asked.
“N-no re-reason!” I said quickly.
“If WinterStream say so.” Yona said. “Yona go back to talking with Sandbar now.”
“O-ok, b-bye.” I said.
We then got to the hay burger place, thankfully there wasn’t many ponies there. We walk over to a booth and sit down together.
Gallus sat next to me, and on my other side was Sandbar, who was sitting next to Yona. Gallus was also sitting next to Smolder, then the hippogriff, and Ocellus.
I started eating as soon as I got mine, breakfast was hours ago, and I was pretty hungry.
“Hey, WinterStream.” Gallus turned to me.
“Y-ya?” I asked.
“So, like, since you’re a Kirin, and you have a weird horn thing, can you use magic like a unicorn?” Gallus asked.
“U-uh, well, I-I mean I can l-levitate objects, b-but that’s about it, a-and that’s about a-all I can do, and i-it’s the same f-for the other Kirin t-too.” I explained.
“Cool, thanks.” Gallus said then turned back to Smolder.
I finished my hay burger and fries. “S-so, uh, w-what do y-you all do for f-fun?” I asked nervously only just loud enough for everyone to hear me.
“All sorts of stuff! We really like hanging out by the little lake near the school together, and we also hangout at the tree house! Aaaaaand we like flying around together!” The hippogriff yelled out before anyone else could respond.
“Fly around? H-how could you d-do that? Not all of you h-have wings...” I questioned her.
“Us with wings carry everycreature who doesn’t have wings!” She replied.
“O-oh, ok, cool, I g-guess, but sounds kinda d-dangerous and scary...” I said.
“Don’t worry, we’re careful.” Gallus reassured me.
“It get scary at first, Yona scared first time too, but when Yona get used to it, it fun.” Yona told me.
“Hey, why we go out for a fly now?” Smolder asked.
“Sure” Sandbar said. “That is, if everyone else wants to.”
“Eh, why not?” Gallus spoke next.
“Yak wanna fly” Yona said.
“Ok, if it’s what everyone else wants.” Ocellus said.
“Ya! Let’s go flying!!!” The Hippogriff screamed.
“O-ok, if everyone else w-wants to... I’m in.” I said not wanting to disappoint anyone.
And with that, we paid for our food (which I felt bad for them having to pay for me), and we walked out of the building.
“Ok, so w-“ before I could finish my sentence, talons grabbed me and I was lifted slightly above the ground.
I screamed, it was really sudden and I am pretty jumpy. I turned my head around, Gallus.
“You nearly gave me a heart attack. Don’t ever do that again.” I said firmly, not stuttering for once.
“Ok ok, fiiiiiine, I’ll warn you next time.” He said rolling his eyes.
“T-thanks.” I went back to my stuttering voice. Then it hit me.
His. Arms. Were. Rapped. Around. Me.
I blushed, like crazy, my face was all red, it was impossible to see any of my light blue fur. I knew I was blushing, I tried to cover my face as much as I could with my hooves, and somehow, thank Celestia somehow, Gallus didn’t notice.
But my luck was short-lived, when the others flew up, the hippogriff was first to notice.
“Heya, WinterStream, that is your name right? Why is your face all red?” She asked.
“I-I, uh, umm, I d-don’t know.” I stammered nervously.
“Ok!” She said. “Why don’t we fly over to the beach?!”
“Yeah, the beach is the best!” Sandbar said, he was being carried by silver stream while Yona was being carried by Smolder and Ocellus.
“Y-ya, I’d l-like to go to the b-beach.” I said.
“Sure.” Gallus said.
“Yak wanna go to beach too.” Yona added.
“Ya, that sounds like fun.” Ocellus said.
“Why not?” Smolder said.
We all flew to the beach, it was at the edge of a pond near the school. It was small, but it was nice too, the wildlife around it reminded me of home.
Gallus set me down.
“T-that was actually pretty fun.” I commented.
“You weren’t nearly as scared as I thought you would be.” Gallus told me.
“R-really?” I asked him.
“Ya, you’re pretty brave.” Gallus told me, I blushed a little.
“T-thanks...” I said as everyone was lose landed, Gallus and I got there first.
“Who wants to go swimming?” Ocellus asked.
“I’ll go!” The hippogriff shouted.
“When do you NOT go swimming when we’re at the beach, Silverstream?” Gallus asked.
“I don’t know!” She said.
“I think I-I’ll go a-swimming too.” I said.
“Ok! Let’s go!” Said the Hippogriff, I think her name is Silverstream, but I’m not sure.
We walked to the water together while the others did there own thing on dry land. I swam around for a bit before we got out and dried off, then we started walking back to the dorms as a group.
Ocellus walked up to me.
“So, do you read a lot?” Ocellus asked me.
“Ya, but I like writing s-some of my own stories m-more.” I told her.
“Maybe I could read some of them, I really like reading.” Ocellus said.
“U-uh, y-ya, totally, w-we could read together sometime...” I said nervously. She could NOT read my stories, well, at least the majority of them. Most of my stories had to do with tickling, because it’s one of my only ways of satisfying my tickle fetish, no doubt she wouldn’t want to be my friend anymore if she read that -just like my old Kirin friends-, that is, if I can even call her a friend, I mean, we only just met. I mean, I can hide my tickling stories and look for my other stories, like my story about timber wolves, or my daring do fanfiction, or maybe even my story called Mute which is about a pony who can’t talk which is of course based off my experience. But no matter what, I have to make sure no one reads my other stories.
“Hey.” my thoughts were interrupted. “You seamed to really like the beach, maybe sometime you could come over to Mount Aris with me, and we could go to the awesome beach we have there!” Silverstream said.
“That would b-be awesome!” I told her.
“Oh, I’m Silverstream by the way!” She said cheerfully.
“N-nice to m-meet you.” I said. Called it.
We walked into the dorm building.
“We’ve got about 20 minutes until the bell rings.” Sandbar commented.
“I-I’m going to m-my dorm, I-I need to work on s-something.” I said, then walked through the door to my dorm.
I worked on making a new story, I almost finished the first Chapter before the bell rang.

Omg, FINALLY finished this. Idk why this took so long, it took me quite a few hours to finish this, and I don’t get much time a day to do so.
