Surviving The First Day
[Nelsha’s Base]
“Will you hold still, kid?” Nelsha asked as Apple Bloom tried her best to hold still, but was having a hard time doing so due to how ticklish the laser beam was on her skin. For the past two hours, she along with Vi performed what could be considered skin surgery on most developed planets like this. This process would’ve been done in a matter of minutes...but they didn’t account for how this world’s inhabitants were easy to be this ticklish.
“Y-You try not feeling ticklish when you have something like that graze against your skin!” Apple Bloom yelled as she tried her best to hold still.
“I did, and I didn’t have problems like this when I had to do it on my home planet.” Nelsha said before finishing up her work. “There, that should do it.” She said as Apple Bloom pulled herself up from the couch she was on and began to dress herself. “It’ll take a good five hours for the symbols on your bodies to be in sync with each other, but that should fix the botched ritual thing that the princesses did a bad job at.”
“Neat...um...what kind of magic can we do?”
“Don’t know. I mean I pretty much mixed my planet’s symbology with your planet’s symbology. So it’ll be possibly random.” Nelsha said before hopping onto the couch and sighing from feeling relaxed. “If anything weird happens, just come by my place...but make sure no one follows after all of you, got it?” She asked as they all nodded. “Good, now I believe you owe me something in return?”
“Right.” Diamond said before standing in front of Nelsha. “If you want a way to get around the force field, there are three ways to get around it from what I overheard from some of the guards. The first one would be to wait for the maintenance check, which happens at the end of each week. The second would be the sewers, but the place is crawling with Royal Guard. The third, the princesses. The shield always goes down whenever one of the princesses comes to visit Ponyville or leaves.”
“Hm. Well, option three is out because I doubt this town will get a visit from your rulers. Option two might be a bit risky seeing how I would have to fight my way through a bunch of guards….Guess I’m going with the waiting game for the time being. How long before the next maintenance for the shield?”
“I...don’t know. You’ll have to figure that out yourself seeing how we’re not part of the Royal Guards. And a lot of the time, they don’t really talk about stuff like that.”
“Fair enough. I’ll have Vi take a look at the schedule for the next maintenance. For now though, I’ll just have to lay low and try not to get noticed by the people of this planet.”
“That might be hard to do given how you’re kind of wanted after what you did.” Button Mash said which caused Scootaloo to punch him on the arm. “What? It’s true. Did you not see the news?”
“I mean staying low as in staying hidden and sneaking around in the shadows.” The lesser fellpool said before yawning. “Anyway, I think it should be time for you guys to head back home. Not that I don’t mind the company, but your families might be worried about where you all are.”
“Right...Will this be the last we see each other?” Sweetie Belle asked as Nelsha shook her head.
“I did say you can come by here if anything happens with the marks you have on your body. Plus I’ll be sure to give you all a message for when I do have to leave. Until then, enjoy the new powers you’ll be getting.” She said as the group nodded and began to head off to their respective homes. Once they were gone, Nelsha pulled up a digital screen as it would have Diamond Tiara and her friends faces on a map with dots on them.
“Secretly placing tracking devices on them. Not a bad idea, but why would you do that?”
“I’ve given them something that will mark them as targets for who knows what might use them as weapons.”
“Within the country we’re in?”
“In and out of this country. Seeing how this is a time of war within this country, people will do whatever it takes to survive, profit, or take over the world. If someone tries to kidnap them or harm them in any way possible. If that were to happen, I want you to kill the people going after them or their family members. Got it Vi?”
“So orbital strike them?”
“More like...drones that can paralyze them from the neck down. I will have to bring them in for questioning...and possibly eat them afterwards.”
“....Is that really necessary?”
“Yes...Yes it is...Mind doing a scan of me Vi? I want to see if there’s any changes to my DNA or something given what just happened earlier today.” She asked as three small drones appeared around the lesser fellpool as they began to scan her from head to toe. Within a matter of seconds, a second digital screen appeared in front of Nelsha.
“It would seem that the wormhole has done a lot more than what I had guessed.” He said before showing her a strane of her DNA. Specifically what it looks like before and after the wormhole trip. “There’s a bit of mutation within your DNA. Not dangerous mind you, so don’t worry about thinking of mutating into an ungodly abomination.”
“Please explain what you mean by that?”
“Your affinity to darkness has increased a lot more than how it was before, meaning that your symbology will be focused around dark elements. I’m still trying to figure out how you were able to make food appear out of thin air like that. Perhaps it’s another symbology spell?”
“Don’t know if I’m being honest. I’m not into the whole science magic mumbo-jumbo stuff.”
“So I noticed. Experimentation is recommended to see if you can do it without Symbology.”
“It’ll have to wait until tomorrow or so. Right now I’m tired and I want to sleep.” Nelsha said before taking her gear off as she was wearing a long black sleeve shirt, boxers, and leg warmers. “It’s been a long rough day, and I want to rest a bit.”
“Shall I set up security bots around the house?”
“You can let Diamond Tiara and her friends into the house, but be sure to scan them to make sure they’re the real ones. Not some imposter dressed up as them.” Nelsha ordered before crawling underneath the sheets of the bed and quickly fell asleep.
“Acknowledge...sleep well...partner.”
[Canterlot Castle: Throne Room]
“This alien’s race is very advanced.” Celestia said as she watched from the crystal ball along with her sister. “Not only can it make her own base of operation, but she can hack into our systems with little to no effort.”
“Isn’t that a bad thing Celestia?”
“I mean yeah. But so far she hasn’t done anything to warrant her being a threat. Though she did hurt my pride with the ritual that she claimed we did wrong...which looking back on it now, does make sense.”
“In fairness, we didn’t have the proper tools like he had...nor could we access them.” Luna said as she moved a bit closer to the ball. “Hard to believe that whatever alien race she comes from would let a child have something like this.”
“Might be part of a military faction no less. You can’t just give someone tech like that without putting them to a test.” Celestia said with a grin on her face. “I’m a bit curious as to how she’ll fare with Twilight and her friends for the next three days.”
“What do you mean by that?”
“Well, that is the usual time for when maintenance ponies do their usual schedule in updating the force fields. Remember?”
“Ah right...I forgot about that. But I’m sure the royal guards will be able to capture her before she escapes.”
“If you say so dear sister~” Celestia said as her horn glowed and caused the sun to set and the moon to rise. Once she did that, she soon pulled herself up from her throne and began to make her way to her room for the night. “Just remember the bet we made once I win this~”
“As do you dear sister.” Luna said as a grin appeared on her face. Indicating that she has a plan set up as she teleported to her own room to prepare for night court.
