Ponies Of Legends : Come and Play
“Clink, clink, clink!” I could hear the melodic rhythm of my Spitfire action figure trotting across the old wooden table before me. Her gears winding down frantically as I watched on with complete boredom of the moment. She'd gallop and run in circles with what little time she had left, never truly stopping to enjoy life or have a second of fun.
Just wasting her life in a pursuit that will never end.
My dark blue eyes becoming so heavy I could barely even keep them open. The world around me shifting into a blur of colors and sounds of the city outside. I felt my hooves stretch outward in ecstasy of relaxation. The city of Manehattan always striving for perfection, this place so boring and lifeless.
I mean sure they've created massive breakthroughs in technology and medicine. But at what cost? The ponies in this city never once stop to party or even enjoy the simple surprise of a building exploding. I mean in all honesty this place of peace and harmony is already dead, so anything I do here wouldn't be considered murder.
Right?
“Pinx, hooves up now!” That familiar voice echoed out from behind me angrily.
The sound of my apartment door creaking open wide sending a shiver down my spine in pleasure. She meant business today if she took the time to sneak up on me, my ears pricking up high with excitement as I slid on my pink and black gloves over my hooves.
My place was a complete mess right now. I mean pizza boxes littered every nook and cranny of my floor. Half-drunken sodas lined the windows lazily, even my lights were out at the moment.
Sure they were just candles, but when a mare can't afford wax something is extremely awry. Officer Spitfire slowly making her way from the door deeper into my dark abode. No doubt armed with a crossbow or maybe even a brand new dagger.
“Please, Pinx is my mother call me Pinkamena!” I snorted joyously at my dinner table with a giggle, feeling the sharp prick of an arrow on my neck.
Yep, she brought the crossbow!
“I'll call you sick!” Spitfire hissed in growing annoyance of my attitude.
“Puh-lease! I'm spreading joy and laughter, that's like the cure for sickness!” I spun around on my seat happily to face my friend.
Soon coming face to face with her crossbow ready to fire. My thin brows arching sweetly in place as I watched Spitfire sneer towards me. Her fiery red mane a vision of beauty in the dimming light of this room. Her dark orange eyes burning bright as coals, wearing a brand new uniform of a Commissioner if I wasn't mistaken.
“Heehee, did somepony get a promotion!?” I flashed my largest grin possible.
“Hooves up!” Spitfire screamed.
“Good for you, Spitty!” I giggled flipping my sleek long mane out of my eyes.
“Hooves now!” She readied to fire an arrow straight through my eye.
“I thought when I blew up that hospital, any promotion was out of the question.” My eyes rolled in place.
“Pinx!” Spitfire allowed herself to blink just once.
My hooves uppercutting swiftly as I knocked her crossbow upward towards the sky, the weapon firing off piercing my ceiling like hot butter. I was quick to perform a backflip off my seat and land on the opposite end of my table perfectly with a feminine bow.
“Missed me, now you gotta kiss me!” I blew a pouty kiss towards the blushing officer.
Leaping out of my open window with a dapper wiggle in my backside, I went plummeting down below three levels to the cement below. A huge pile of rancid old garbage breaking my fall in the dumpster.
Which was super duper lucky!
Sure, four casts on my hooves would've been sweet!
Just not from inside a prison cell.
“Too bad, so…” I could feel a second arrow fly right past my ear piercing the dumpster.
“Get back here!” Spitfire lunged out my window reloading her crossbow as beautiful golden wings spread outward proudly.
“I could've sworn you were a unicorn!?” I was genuinely surprised she was a pegasus.
Stumbling out of my stenchy saving grace, I hit the cement alleyway with a dull thud. Shaking a half-eaten hayburger out of my mane, I quickly darted over to a stack of six silver trash cans. Spitfire flying down like a bolt of lightning from the heavens before landing in front of me angrily.
“Move and die!” She held up her crossbow with precision.
I knew she wouldn't shoot so I reached outward for a trash lid. The loud pop of an arrow piercing the lid in front of my heart leaving a ring in my ears.
“That could've killed me, awesome!” I giggled tossing the lid towards Spitfire who lunged out of the way dramatically.
“It's just a lid silly!” Reaching my hooves into the open trash can, I pulled out a surprise.
“Not like it's a…” I held out a banana in shock.
My friend breathing heavily behind a few bags struggling to load her weapon. Dropping the arrow to the ground below with a loud clunk. I couldn't help but giggle in joy at how much fun this was!
“Oops, wrong can!” I reached into the middle can pulling out Gummy.
Gummy, my anti-aircraft and magic-seeking fireworks launcher! Complete with optional cupholder and auto-reload feature for when gunning on the run!
He was an absolute cutie standing five feet in length and in the shape of a bright green alligator. Toothless mouth stretched wide in laughter ready to fire off happiness into the world around him!
Spitfire could only gaze on in complete jealousy that my gun was bigger.
“You keep explosives in the open!?” She scrunched her muzzle in place confused.
“Don't worry! I keep it loaded just in case children find it!!” A squeal of pleasure escaped my lips as I fired off my first round towards the officer.
She barely leaped off to the right as a loud rainbow colored explosion of fire sent her tumbling hard against the apartment building wall. Giggling in glee, I bounced over to my good friend lying on the ground limply.
“Somepony has broken legs!” I pointed Gummy down at her point-blank.
“Di…” Spitfire coughed in pain.
“Di!?” I narrowed my eyes with confusion.
“Die!” She lifted her crossbow firing.
The sharp arrow piercing my heart swiftly as I felt my body fill with warmth. Gazing down to a pool of crimson pouring out around my hooves. This was just perfect timing, I had become bored with life and needed a change of pace.
“I always knew you loved me!” I dropped Gummy to the ground.
Holding my hooves around the wooden arrow with a smile. I fell back towards the ground ready to leave this boring world…
“Slam!” My jaw slipped from my hoof and smacked roughly onto the table below.
My eyes snapping wide open in utter confusion from the sudden jolt of surprise. My room was glowing a bright orange hue from the setting sun outside. I felt an extra large yawn escape from my lips after that nice nap.
Lifting to my hooves, I dragged myself in front of a broken full-length mirror. Frowning in slight disappointment that no arrow had pierced my heart though. My flat pink mane cascading down past my shoulders messily, only my favorite strands of hair braided cutely in the middle.
My eyes glancing to my smiling dragon tattoo on my shoulder with a pout. I really needed to get more ink soon, my dragon was lonely and needed a friend.
Friend?
I turned to spot my homemade Spitfire toy still atop the dinner table proudly. Her gears having halted at least an hour ago. I slid down on my belly with a smile, slithering over to my BFF giggling. Lifting my head up over the edge of the table playfully, I gave the toy a welcoming smile of love.
Her gears clicking softly before she took one last step in my direction.
“Ahh!” I screamed in shock fighting back laughter.
Spitfire always had to have the last say.
Lifting my hoof up cautiously, I grinned in delight.
