Twilight was reading her mail as she was inside her castle for the day due to the rain pouring down on Ponyville She thought that the pegasus's went overboard with the weather sometimes.
As she read her mail something smacked into her door. She looked got out of her room and looked at the floor of the castle.
She decided to just go and see who it is to get it over with.
When she opened the door Rainbow Dash rubbed her head in pain as she staggered into her castle.
"Thanks...sorry." Rainbow Dash said as she winced in pain. Twilight realized that Rainbow Dash flew right into her door without stopping to knock. Twilight sighed.
"Did you really fly into a closed door?" Twilight asked with annoyance. Rainbow Dash chuckled with embarressment.
"I guess I did....can I come in?" Rainbow Dash asked. Twilight stepped aside and allowed Rainbow Dash to pass her as she walked into her castle. Twilight closed her door as she wondered if Rainbow Dash just came over here to see her or came over here to tell her something important.
Rainbow Dash went to the dining hall and sat down as she spoke to Twilight.
"Can I talk to you about something? Rainbow Dash asked her, Twilight shook her head as she thought that this was a silly question.
"Of coarse you can. I never said you couldnt...why what's wrong?" Twilight asked as she could tell something was out of place in Rainbow Dash's behavior.
"Twilight ponies in Equestria are asking for research pertaining to parkinsons disease. Captain Calaeno has parkinsons...neither you or Celestia has done anything for the healthcare industry in this regard." Rainbow Dash ranted. Twilight shrugged.
"What the hell do you want us to do? Captain Calaeno seemed fine to me the last time I saw her." Twilight said. Rainbow Dash sighed.
"Just because shes okay now doesnt mean she will be okay later. Her disease will progress and get worse when she gets older until she wont be able to function in daily life. You have to come up with a bill for Celestia to sign ordering for new funding in parkinsons research." Rainbow Dash said.
"No we waste to much money on trivial stuff. We have to fund our border defenses." Twilight argued.
"Cant you fund both then? If you have enough money for that then you have enough money for Parkinson's research." Rainbow Dash argued as she got annoyed herself.
"We already have enough funding for research and treatment. If Captain Caleano doesn't like that then that's ungrateful. She already has medical treatment available to her and support groups for her disease. What more can she possibly get with more funding?" Twilight asked.
"She and other individuals dont have enough which is why you and Celestia need to take action." Rainbow Dash pleaded.
"We are taking action I dont know what your smoking but were certainly doing our best. I have a lot of stuff to do as princess sucha as going to diplomatic meetings all throughout Equestria and stopping conflicts without having to resort to the elemts of harmony all the time but yet your worried about some small disease and freaking out over nothing." Twilight argued as her voice got louder.
"Its not just some small disease Twilight it's a terrible one that's making people's lives harder. You must pass something to help! You said that you wanted to help people while being princess and now here's your chance to do another thing worthwhile for Equestria. Captain Caleano helped save Equestria from Tempest Shadow. The least you could do is repay her." Rainbow Dash said
"I did enough for Equestria! Stop hassling me with this or I'll have you removed from the premises. I have to many things that I'm doing right now including protecting the elements of harmony and trying to be diplomatic and here you are telling me I need to be sympathetic for people who have a disease and are already getting benefits and treatment! Equestria has funded parkinsons research enough! Captain Celaeno is lucky to live here. I know that she helped save Equestria and I'm grateful for her so please stop with the water works!" Twilight yelled.
"Its seems like you dont care at all Twilight! Your a despicable pony who doesnt give care! I'm not asking for a cure. Ponies and creatures all throughout Equestria with parkinsons are having a tough time just trying to get through physical therapy and all you care about is how much its going to cost. Forget you I'm seeing Luna about it!" Rainbow Dash yelled as she stormed out.
Twilight stood there in stunned silence as she couldnt believe Rainbow Dash had lost her cool. She sighed in annoyance as she now felt terrible. Twilight sat down and thought about what happened
What in Tartarus does she want me to do!? I cant just make money for research on a cure magically appear! Damn!" Twilight ranted.
Twilight wondered why Rainbow Dash suddenly started to care for cure research when she didnt in the first place. It was uncommon for Rainbow Dash to act like that. Her mood was ruined but hopefully it would get better.
Soon Rainbow Dash went to Canterlot to see Celestia and Luna and they both agreed to research. Twilight argued against it at first as she feared that it would be bad for the economy of Equestria to spend alot of money since Equestria was already in debt and the towns of Appleloosa and Manehattan were already losing money.
After a while however Twilight changed her mind even if it did take a while. She stopped being mean and supported a search for the cure as she decided not to worry anymore as she realized how silly she had been. Caprian Caelano helped her friends defeat Tempest and saved Equestria so she deserved to be taken care of. She apologized to Rainbow Dash for what she said and supported each individual that had the disease. She had some compassion after all.
